Similar to last year Morehead State is off to a slow start below .500. In fact they have zero wins over division one schools as they’ve lost to Auburn, UAB, and Mississippi State. Yet the Eagles have familiarity as they defeated Arkansas State, 69-61 in last year’s non-conference matchup. Take the Eagles here. 

With so many transfers in college basketball, there are teams that gain experience that benefit a particular matchup. That’s on showcase today as Garrison Brooks the former UNC Tar Heel can give insight for his Bulldogs squad against ACC opponent Louisville. The Cardinal are also still without coach Chris Mack due to his suspension. Although Mississippi State has had a weak schedule, look for them to move to 5-0. 

A day before Thanksgiving the Atlanta Hawks travel on the road to face the San Antonio Spurs. With a 1-8 road record the Atlanta Hawks are still sizable road favorites against the San Antonio Spurs. Do not expect a pre holiday letdown from the Hawks, as San Antonio is in complete disarray having lost five straight. Grab the Hawks. 

The Chicago Bulls ascent in the Eastern Conference has been one of the best stories on the young season. At 12-6, they are coming off their worst loss this season to the Pacers, 109-77. Being a young team look for a letdown spot against a Houston Rockets team that is overdue for a competitive game. Take the Rockets.

A battle of undefeated teams in Xavier and Iowa State will take place today at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Both teams come in 4-0, with Xavier entering the top twenty five this week at 25th. Their team balance and offensive identity should pace the way for the Musketeers. Take Xavier on the big number to pull away from the Cyclones. 

A big line move has occurred between Rice and Fordham. We’ll go against the line move as bettors have gravitated early this season on the Owls. It worked in their first game on a heavy line move against Pepperdine, and their solid returning team is hard to ignore. Yet, look for this to be a tricky spot as Fordham’s weak schedule serves as a value indicator. Grab the Rams to play formidable half court defense and bite bettors that go with the line move.

Tuesday, the Dallas Mavericks will face the LA Clippers for the second time in three days. Minus Luka Doncic, Dallas lost by six points to the Clippers on Sunday. Expect their personnel to be better prepared if Doncic misses another game, as they aim to end a three game losing streak. Play Dallas. 

Tonight the Portland Trailblazers have an opportunity to extend their largest win streak of the season to four games. It’s a revenge spot for Portland as they’ll face the Denver Nuggets who beat them 124-95 on November 14th. Portland was minus Damian Lillard in that matchup, and should play much different in a nationally televised spot. Take Portland to move to 9-1 at home and cover the number. 

One of the biggest college basketball line moves yesterday was Murray State against East Tennessee State. The line movement proved to be incorrect as East Tennessee State easily handled Murray State. Today should be a different story as East Tennessee State’s offense ranks just 310th compared to Missouri State which ranks 39th. Playing for a second consecutive day look for Missouri State’s offensive execution to be too much for the Bucs. Grab Missouri State.

Valparaiso will take on Coastal Carolina coming off their first win yesterday against Jacksonville State. The Beacons finally found their offense in a big way with fifty second half points. Look for their tournament readiness to give them a leg up against a Coastal Carolina team that has not played in five days. Grab Valparaiso.

The Phoenix Suns are the hottest team in the NBA with a twelve game win streak. Throughout their winning streak the lone stretch where they showed weakness was in a back to back scenario last Monday. They needed a late flurry against the Minnesota Timberwolves and did not cover a small number of 3.5. Expect a similar outcome against a Spurs team that has had three days off. Back the Spurs. 

The New Orleans Pelicans have played better since Brandon Ingram has returned to the lineup. In fact, they have won their last two home games with victories over the Clippers and Grizzlies. Yet, they are still just 3-15 overall and are facing a Minnesota Timberwolves team coming off a season-high 135 points. Back the Timberwolves.

A line that continues to move sharply has been East Tennessee State against Murray State. Personally, I liked this line at 3.5 for East Tennessee State, and will take the added three point value here. The Bucs are not as offensively sharp as in prior years but have an NBA prospect in Ledarrius Brewer. Although they are 1-2, we won’t over react. Take the value here on the Bucs against Murray State. 

Typically when a team finishes a cross country road trip, one would be leery on their return home. Yet, the Warriors rested some main starters in road finale against Detroit. This also built the confidence of their budding young rotation and bench depth. Look for the Warriors to continue to their winning ways and cash ATS against the Raptors. 

Playing in consecutive nights is always a challenge in the NBA. The New York Knicks find themselves in that spot Sunday after a home win last night against the Rockets.  A positive is the Knicks have defeated the Bulls four of their last five matchups, which includes a road win October 28th. Back the Knicks. 

The Utah Jazz have regrouped to win consecutive games by double-digits to boost their record to 10-5. Additionally they finally have the services of veteran Rudy Gay who scored twenty points in his season debut on Thursday. Tonight for the third time the Utah Jazz will face the Sacramento Kings, who are in a back to back scenario. Expect the Jazz fluid offense to flourish against a poor Kings defensive team. Friday, in front of a nationally televised audience the Boston Celtics throttled the Lakers, 130-108. The feat was accomplished with several key players out and with Lebron James back for the Lakers. Injuries have been a main reason why the Celtics are 8-8 and inconsistent. In a back to back scenario look for the Oklahoma City Thunder to pose a challenge with their young roster. A weak schedule to open the season for the Saint Louis Billikens featured wins over Central Arkansas, Eastern Illinois, and a non division one school. Saturday, they’ll face a Mercer Bears team that is 1-2 but has had a far tougher schedule. Yet, look for Mercer’s limited seven man rotation to hurt them in the second half against a deeper Saint Louis team. Back the Billikens.

A line that has moved against the favorite has been VCU against Chattanooga. One of the main reasons is VCU has struggled offensively averaging just fifty points per game. Expect an uptick offensively from the Rams, and for their half-court defense to continue to excel against the Mocs. Go against the line move here and back VCU. 

The San Diego Toreros have impressed thus far on the young season. They won on the road against Nevada, and are coming off a pull away victory over a UC Riverside team that upset Arizona State. Yet, Cal State Fullerton is a streaky shooting team that also gets to the free throw line. They average twenty free throws a game and rank fifteenth in the country at 82 percent.

It’s rare to see an 0-2 team favored by a sizable amount. Yet Niagara is this evening against SIU Edwardsville. This is largely due to their strength of schedule and narrow losses to both Ohio State and Xavier. Expect the Purple Eagles to handle the Cougars and get in the win column both ATS and side wise.

A peculiar point spread exists as South Carolina out of the SEC finds themselves as a home underdog against UAB. The Blazers were one of the best teams in Conference USA last season, before a tough loss to Western Kentucky in their conference tournament. Additions via transfer with Quan Jackson from Georgia Southern and KJ Buffen from Ole Miss elevate them immensely. Take the Blazers to handle the Gamecocks. 

Thursday, Coastal Carolina will travel to face UNC Wilmington out of Colonial Athletic Association. For the Chanticleers this will mark just their second game of the season, while this is the fourth for UNC Wilmington. That’s a big early season advantage for the Seahawks in front of their home crowd. Take UNC Wilmington. 

Tuesday, an in-state college hoops matchup will take place as Nebraska hosts Creighton. In the prior two seasons, Creighton walloped Nebraska by 19 points or more in both matchups. A talent drop off for the Bluejays this season gives Nebraska a chance to get revenge. Additionally, the spread would likely be higher on Nebraska’s side if not for an opening loss to Western Illinois. Expect Fred Hoiberg and his coaching staff to be dialed in. Take Nebraska.

A team that continues to be a tad bit over valued ATS are the Richmond Spiders. Richmond has one of the best retuning lineups in college basketball, but needs time to get readjusted on the court. They’ll be in for another tough challenge tonight against a Georgia State team that is excellent in half court offense. Take the Panthers getting a generous amount of points as an underdog. 

Through two games the Minnesota Gophers have won and covered both matchups. Sunday, they’ll continue to play in the Asheville tournament as they face Princeton in the championship. Look for Princeton’s experience led by seniors Jaelin Llewellyn and Drew Friberg to pay off against a Gopher’s team under a new coach. Grab Princeton.

The Cleveland Cavaliers hot start is one of the best stories to begin the NBA season. At 8-5 they are coming off a twenty point victory in yesterday’s win over Detroit. In a back to back scenario today against the Celtics, look for Boston to utilize their roster depth advantage over the Cavaliers. Take the Celtics.

The Toronto Raptors ended a three-game losing streak Friday, and now return home for one game against the Detroit Pistons. It’s the last time the Raptors will be home before a six game road trip that stretches past Thanksgiving. Expect the Raptors to be motivated and throttle a Pistons team coming off a lackluster performance yesterday against the Cavaliers. Take Toronto. 

A team that was ill prepared to begin their season was Detroit Mercy. Detroit scored just forty-seven points and were blown out in both halves of action against Wyoming. Expect a much sharper performance from Detroit who shot just 6-27 from three point range against Wyoming, versus being a top fifteen team last year in three pointers made. Take Detroit plus the points against Toledo. 

One of the more difficult challenges in an NBA season is sweeping an opponent. For the Dallas Mavericks they will face the San Antonio Spurs for the third time in their first twelve games. Both prior games the Mavericks did not cover but won. Expect a competitive game once again but for the Mavericks to pull away and win their third game against the Spurs. Take Dallas. 

A key overnight line move has been against the Memphis Grizzlies against the Phoenix Suns. With Dillon Brooks determined out the line has reversed to the Suns as the slight favorite. This is sparked by a six game win streak from the Suns. Yet, the Grizzlies should be refocused after a disappointing home loss against the Hornets. Take the Grizzlies.

East Tennessee State begins their season Friday on the road against Appalachian State. The Buccaneers are coming off a disappointing 13-12 season, as they struggled to find consistent scoring. Yet, Appalachian State scored just 53 points in their opener against Iona. Take East Tennessee State on the small number to open their season.

Utah State suffered a stunning loss to open the season to UC Davis, 72-69. Now they’ll need to regroup as they face a Richmond team that has all five starters back, including four players heading into their fifth season. Yet, Richmond experienced key injuries and covid issues last season, and will need time to mesh together. Take the points with Utah State. 

San Jose State will embark on their first game of the season against 0-1 Cal State Fullerton. The Spartans will be without key player Richard Washington who is attempting to appeal an NCAA suspension. Look for Cal State Fullerton to pave the way led by the combination of guards Tray and Dante Maddox Jr. Play Cal State Fullerton.

Both ASU and UC Riverside will compete in their second games of the season on Thursday. For ASU, Bobby Hurley gets another tune up matchup to try and tinker with a new lineup filled with mid-major transfers. Against Portland they needed a second half push but failed to cover the twenty-four point line. Take the Highlanders whose slower pace of play will challenge ASU.

The Denver Nuggets will be without key star Nikola Jokic as he will serve a one-game suspension. They’ll take on an Indiana Pacers team coming off their first road win of the season against the Sacramento Kings. The win marked their fourth straight cover, as the Pacers appear to be finding their groove. Take Indiana to keep excelling against Denver. 

The Houston Rockets and Detroit Pistons both have just one win on the year. For the Rockets their young team has shown flashes of talent with Christian Wood, Kevin Porter Jr, and top pick Jalen Green. Enduring seven road games out of their first ten games would be tough for any team. Expect being at home to pay dividends against the lowly Pistons. Play Houston.

Bowling Green no longer has their top player over the last four years in recent graduate Justin Turner. Yet, they have a solid core of returning talent that can score all over the floor. That will be a problem for a Western Carolina team that lost Mason Faulkner to Louisville as a transfer. Furthermore, they surrendered an average of 82 points per game over their last seven to conclude last season. Take the road favorite in Bowling Green.

Thursday, the Utah Jazz will travel on the road to face the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta will be in a back to back scenario after losing Wednesday at Brooklyn. Yet, the Hawks are undefeated on their home floor at 3-0. Expect the Hawks to avoid falling below .500 against a Jazz team playing their fifth road game in their last seven. Take Atlanta.

The LA Clippers are off to a slow start at 1-3. Wednesday the Clippers were disastrous in a 92 to 79 loss Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. As poor as they were a positive is their lone victory of the season was against tonight’s opponent in the Trailblazers. Monday, they defeated Portland 116-86. Take the Clippers who will finally travel out of the state of California for a road game. 

At 4-0, the Chicago Bulls are off to their best start since 1996-97. Thursday, they’ll get their first true test against a legitimate playoff contender in the New York Knicks. While the Knicks have the chemistry of a full season of their roster together, look for the new look Bulls to battle through and rise to the occasion. Take Chicago on the small number.

The Pelicans had one of the worst opening day losses in a 117-97 beat down loss against a short handed 76ers team. They’ll now head on the road under first year Coach Willie Green without Zion Williamson. Expect a better showcase against a Bulls team that did not look acclimated to the new season in a hard fought victory against the Pistons. Take the Pelicans. 

The Boston Celtics fought hard in their game one overtime loss against the New York Knicks. They fell short but showed their duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown is still a formidable force even amidst organization changes. Tonight look for the Celtics to bounce back strong against a Raptors team that is out of sync minus key players from the past few seasons. Take Boston.

The Golden State Warriors exhibited their solid bench in a come from behind victory Tuesday against the Lakers. The win masked the fact that the Warriors were down for three quarters, and had trouble with the Lakers surges. Tonight against a veteran Clippers squad look for LA to give the Warriors problems in their season debut. Take the points.

The Orlando Magic may be the youngest team in the NBA, and truly only have one veteran player in Terrence Ross. Wednesday, they’ll take on a San Antonio Spurs team that they have recent experience against. Ten days ago the Spurs nearly blew a 17 point fourth quarter lead, but prevailed to just a one point victory. Take the Magic as they push the Spurs and Gregg Poppovich.

In last year’s Eastern Conference playoff play-in game the Pacers blew out Charlotte, 144-117. The 144 points allowed by the Hornets were the highest amount in a non overtime game since 1994. This has been a circle game for revenge for the Hornets, since schedules were released on August 20th. Grab the Hornets

The Lakers and Warriors will meet tonight to begin a new NBA season. Los Angeles has plenty of familiar new names as they brought in Russ Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, and Rajon Rondo. Yet, the Laker with Lebron James have lost the first game to start every season. Take the Warriors who went undefeated in preseason, which included two wins over the Lakers.

The Milwaukee Bucks will aim to be the first NBA Finals team since the 2006 Miami Heat to go down 0-2, and win the next four. The rising play of Giannis continues to go to new heights. Expect the Suns let downs of game four’s final ninety seconds and blowing a sixteen point first quarter game five lead to haunt them. Grab Milwaukee to close out the NBA season ATS-wise and with an NBA Title. 

For the first time since round one of the post-season the Phoenix have lost consecutive games. Nearly the entire game four was the Suns to win until the Bucks dug deep and evened the series. Expect the pendulum to keep swinging towards the Bucks side as they get their third straight series cover. Take the Bucks.

In game one the Phoenix Suns defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in multiple phases. The first half involved better execution at the rim and an aggressive offense that led to more free throws. In the second half they showcased their depth and ability to run in transition for easy baskets. Look for the Suns to continue to build off of game one and go up two games on the Bucks. 

In game one of the NBA Finals the Bucks will lean on their veteran experience against the Suns youth. Throughout the post-season Phoenix has needed uplifted play from their youth in Cam Johnson, DeAndre Ayton, Mikal Bridges, and Cameron Payne. Expect the Bucks defensive intensity to throw the Suns off a bit to get the cover. Play the Bucks

Minus Giannis in game five the Bucks resorted back to a limited rotation as seen in their series against Brooklyn. Series high in minutes were played by Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, and PJ Tucker. The bigger lineup worked without the shifty Trae Young available. Look for it to continue to work even if Young is available for game six. Grab Milwaukee to finish off the Hawks improbable post-season run. 

The Milwaukee Bucks have surged ahead to a 2-1 series lead against the Atlanta Hawks. Tuesday is an opportunity to put a defining statement to the series. Expect more o what we’ve seen the past two games from Milwaukee as they cover their third in a row. This is also an opportunity for the Bucks to win the Eastern Conference Finals on their home floor for game five. Grab Milwaukee

Game two the Milwaukee Bucks tightened things defensively to thwart the Atlanta Hawks game one momentum. Game three is an opportunity for the Bucks to climb forward more and showcase the defensive excellence they did in round one against Miami. With the Hawks depth in trouble grab the Bucks here.

The Atlanta Hawks never die mantra worked in their series victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. Landing in the Eastern Conference Finals should be a different story against the Milwaukee Bucks. Expect Milwaukee to build forward from a grueling series against the Nets and resemble the strong team we saw in round one against the Heat. Back the Bucks. 

The Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers are the final seven game series before we know the conference finals matchup. Philadelphia showcased they can win with defense in a solid game six effort. Yet, the younger Hawks have had a knack for raising their level of play when needed most. Expect a valiant effort in game seven win or lose. Grab the Hawks.

Friday, the Utah Jazz have their season on the line on the road against the LA Clippers. Utah’s lost their defensive lock in ability in allowing the Clippers to win the last three games. Yet, they have a great opportunity to adjust their game plan after seeing the Clippers minus Kawhi Leonard in game five. Grab the Jazz to push this series to seven games. 

Epic collapses by the Philadelphia 76ers in games four and five have put them in a must-win situation tonight. Expect the veteran 76ers to remain aggressive for four quarters, and Doc Rivers to limit the bench’s minutes from late third to the early fourth quarter. Grab Philadelphia to respond as the road favorite. 

Throughout the Nets and Bucks series pricing has been skewed towards the Bucks side. This has been sparked by the Nets numerous issues with injuries to key players in James Harden and Kyrie Irving, and now the fact that Kevin Durant played 48 minutes in game five. Yet, I expect James Harden to look better in game six and the Nets as a team to look to finish off the Bucks. Play the Nets here.

The Hawks have new life with the 76ers meltdown in game four. With the series now even look for the younger Hawks to gain momentum off an improbable come from behind victory. Point guard Trae Young continues to torch the 76ers with his facilitation of the basketball, and matched a career-high eighteen assists in game four. Take the Hawks to shoot better and have an uptick offensively tonight. 

There’s a chance that James Harden could play for game five, but expect the Bucks defensive strategy to continue to grow. In games three and four the Bucks limited the Nets to an average of 89.5 points. With the burden squarely on Kevin Durant’s shoulders look for the Bucks confidence to play team basketball to flourish. Play Milwaukee. 

The LA Clippers broke out in game three’s victory over the Jazz with 132 points. It was just a point shy of a season high, and the Jazz’s poorest defensive effort the entire season. Look for the Clippers to build off that performance and put pressure on the Jazz heading to Salt Lake City. Grab the Clippers.

The Philadelphia 76ers have completely transformed their game plans to rout the Atlanta Hawks in games two and three. The blowouts were the fourth time in a span of forty-five days that the 76ers have routed the Hawks. Yet, Monday is a must win scenario where the younger Hawks can regain traction and rally behind their home crowd. Grab Atlanta.

The Clippers once again find themselves in a 2-0 deficit. This time against a Utah Jazz team that is in an unusual spot. Over their last 70 games they’ve been an underdog just twice, both of those times were double digit losses against Phoenix and the Lakers. Look for the Clippers to play a hard fought game and get the ATS win.

Adjustments made in post-season series grow deeper into the post-season. The Atlanta Hawks faced a New York Knicks team in round one that was incapable based on their roster talent. Expect the 76ers and Coach Doc Rivers to build on game two’s performance and hand the Hawks their first home post-season loss. Play Philadelphia.

Thus far Phoenix has been the talk of the Western Conference, while Utah and the Clippers get less attention. Utah gave the Clippers life for a first half and nearly the end of game one’s victory. Look for Utah to play more of a complete game tonight and have a showcase outing. Grab Utah.

The Phoenix Suns provided one of the craziest series swings in terms of odds seen in recent memory. Toppling the Lakers was quite a feat but now they’ll need to defeat a Nuggets team they have had issues with. Denver defeated Phoenix twice on the road in overtime, and swept the Suns in four games last year. Grab the Nuggets as they continue to thrive in an undermanned underdog role. 

In the postseason time and again teams with more rest struggle in game one. Look for that to be the case for Milwaukee who has had seven full days off since their sweep over Miami. Furthermore, they have not been challenged in two full weeks since their overtime game one victory over Miami. Take the Nets.

Wednesday, the Atlanta Hawks will face the Knicks in a potential game five close out game. If not for a Coach Thibs game two halftime adjustment to start Derrick Rose, this series would likely be over. Look for the Hawks to continue to excel in second halves as they do not want to give the Knicks life for a possible sixth or seventh game. Play Atlanta.

The Denver Nuggets were not ready for Portland’s game four adjustment with star Damian Lillard. Lillard toned down his shot attempts to ten and became more of a facilitator with ten assists. Expect the Nuggets to be prepared to defend the entire floor, and also not to shoot thirty four percent. Grab Denver.

Portland’s Damian Lillard has eighty shot attempts through three games against the Denver Nuggets. Only once during the regular season did he attempt more shots during a three-game stretch. Since halftime of game two he is just six for twenty one from three-point range, 29 percent. Take the Nuggets better team balance to pay off ATS.

The LA Clippers find themselves in a must win situation on the road against the Dallas Mavericks. Defensively they have not had the answers to limit the Mavericks offense and Luka Doncic. Instead look for the Clippers to play with more rhythm offensively and put the pressure on the Mavericks for game four. Play the Clippers. 

Raucous victory celebrations have been the theme in the Knicks and Hawks first two games. Both were seesaw affairs that could have went either way. For game three look for the Hawks to make a statement in front of their home crowd, as they negate the halftime adjustments made by Coach Thibs in game two. Play the Hawks. 

The Lakers survived a rusty offensive performance to survive game two against the Phoenix Suns. For the third game in a row we’ve seen a seismic shift on the point spread in the direction of the Lakers. They seem to have figured out ways to defend Devin Booker on the perimeter and in the paint, which should make things difficult for the Suns. Grab the Lakers. 

Memphis has used the momentum of their play in wins to heighten their overall play. They’ve now won eight of nine games overall and put the pressure on the Jazz tonight. Expect the Grizzlies to continue to elevate their offensive play and spoil the return of Donovan Mitchell from an ATS stand point. Buy the half point to nine on the Grizzlies. 

Sunday, the Knicks faltered in their first playoff action since 2012-2013. The 105 points scored was not indicative of their regular season average against Atlanta of 124. Look for the proper adjustments to be made from Coach Thibs as the Knicks even the series behind the play of Julius Randle. Play New York.

A strong attribute for Portland continues to grow as they’ve covered eight consecutive games on the road. They’ve also dominated the Denver Nuggets as they concluded the season with a 132-116 victory and followed it up with a fourteen point game one victory. Look for Portland to continue to have success with their eight-man rotation. Play the Blazers. 

Monday, the Milwaukee Bucks will aim to take a 2-0 lead on the Miami Heat. In game one they needed overtime to get by Miami to win by a mere two points. Over the last six post-season games between the Bucks and Heat, Miami has won four matchups outright and lost two games by three points or less. Look for the Bucks to finally end that streak and live up the spread expectations tonight. Play Milwaukee.

The Utah Jazz are back at full strength as they look to defend the top seed in the Western Conference. Memphis has an uncanny ability to play up or down to the level of their opponents. This was witnessed in a near collapse against the Spurs, but also in a positive way against the Warriors. The tide of this series may change quickly but look for the Grizzlies to hold within a steep spread.

The Knicks and Hawks both are back in the post-season after years of failure. Down the stretch of the season the Knicks had a torrid finish including defeating the Hawks by ten points. Yet this is where the foundation of the Hawks outmatches the Knicks, as their youth has developed for this moment. Grab the Hawks to take game one. 

The Boston Celtics slipped down the stretch of the season because of several injuries including losing star Jaylen Brown for the rest of the season. Yet in game one I expect them to have fight against the Brooklyn Nets. Look for a close matchup as far as the eight point spread and for Brad Stevens to have his team prepared. Play Boston. 

The pressure is on the Washington Wizards to clinch the eighth seed against the Indiana Pacers. Washington’s impressive end of season run featured a twenty game stretch that they went 15-5, with all losses by four points or less. That posed value in their 118-100 loss to Boston, and is a double-down variable today. Take the Pacers who continue their impressive offense.

The Golden State Warriors snuck into the playoffs behind the excelled play of Steph Curry. They’ll face an LA Lakers team that is essentially not a true seven seed. Yet, look for the Warriors to continue riding the momentum that was witnessed at the end of the regular season, and get the first cover in the playoffs for an underdog.

Saturday, the Minnesota Timberwolves will aim to be the latest team to hand the Celtics a loss. Losers of four straight the injuries continue to mount for the Celtics, as they’ll be without big man Tristan Thompson today. Minnesota should continue to finish the season on a positive note as they’ve won six of their last ten. Grab Minnesota. 

Tonight the 76ers will aim to sweep the Miami Heat. From a playoff positioning standpoint the motivation edge tonight lies with the Miami Heat. They’re currently in the fifth spot but have the same losses as both the Hawks and Knicks. Yet, look for the 76ers who have become accustomed to playing without Joel Embiid to gain the season series sweep. Grab Philadelphia.

An important stretch to conclude the season continues tonight for the Portland Trailblazers against the Utah Jazz. Currently in the 5th spot in the West, Portland needs to continue winning to hold off the Mavericks and Lakers. With the game being of high importance look for the Trailblazers to have an ATS edge tonight against the Jazz.

The Washington Wizards have either won or lost by three points or less in seventeen straight games. Monday’s narrow one point victory was controlled by the Hawks until a strong fourth quarter push from the Wizards closed a nineteen point deficit. For the third time in seven days the Oklahoma City Thunder and Sacramento Kings will meet. On the Thunder side of things they’ve sustained a brutal string of three straight losses by twenty plus points, including in Sunday’s loss to the Kings. Gaining two full points from Sunday’s offering is enough value to jump in on the Thunder, who lost to the Kings by just four points last Tuesday. Grab OKC. 

The Grizzlies clinched a play-in playoff spot with Monday’s five point victory over the Pelicans. That should boost the Grizzlies confidence heading into Tuesday’s back to back scenario against the Mavericks. Expect a gutty effort from the Grizzlies who will aim to end the Mavericks four game win streak. Play the Grizzlies.

The Golden State Warriors are coming off two lopsided wins against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Monday, they’ll face the red hot Utah Jazz that have won five straight and sit atop the Western Conference as the number one seed. Although the Jazz have not played on the road in the month of May, their synergy with their first and second units are not a match for the Warriors rotation. Grab Utah. 

After winning four consecutive games the Timberwolves have dropped their last three. It has not been for a lack of effort. Two of the losses were by four points and their latest loss to the Miami Heat featured the return of Tyler Herro. Sunday, a limited Orlando Magic team depth wise should pose an advantage for the Timberwolves. Play Minnesota.

The LA Lakers continue to tumble as they’ve lost seven of ten games. Injuries continue to mount as the Lakers had another scare with Anthony Davis in Thursday’s loss to the Clippers. Even if his minutes are reduced the Lakers can hang with a Portland team that has lost six straight home games. Grab the value here on the Lakers. 

The Detroit Pistons will have an opportune spot today to play a formidable game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Memphis had severe issues defensively in yesterday’s 139-135 victory over the Timberwolves. Expect the Pistons young lineup to be the latest opponent to give the Grizzlies fits, as Memphis is 1-4-1 ATS over their last six games. Play Detroit.

The Atlanta Hawks rolled past the Phoenix Suns Wednesday night to a 135-103 victory. Thursday, they’ll look to conquer their road woes that has featured a four game losing streak. The Mavericks best defensive effort this year came on New Year’s Day when they defeated the Miami Heat 93-83. Former Miami Heat Josh Richardson was a catalyst as the Mavericks limited Jimmy Butler to 0-6 shooting. Even with a limited rotation look for the Mavericks to play a competitive game and threaten Miami’s three-game win streak. Grab Dallas. 

Two teams that were in action Saturday are in back to back scenarios Sunday; Miami and Charlotte. Look for the Miami Heat to take advantage of the Hornets continued transition with their lineup. Lamelo Ball’s return ignited the Hornets Saturday for a double-digit win, but in a back to back scenario expect a minutes reduction and sloppy play. Grab Miami. 

Minus Zach Lavine the Bulls playoff prognosis has slid further to the eleventh spot in the Eastern Conference. Tonight they’ll face a Bucks team that will be minus Giannis and in a back to back scenario. Grab Chicago to bounce back and redeem themselves from one of their worst losses of the season in their last outing against the Knicks. Play the Bulls.

The Brooklyn Nets have adjusted to the new era of NBA basketball seamlessly. Nightly they seem to be without a key star player but have not skipped a beat. They’ve won four consecutive games to grab ahold of the top seed in the Eastern Conference. With a bit of a cushion over Philadelphia look for a lackluster effort tonight against Portland. The Utah Jazz have stumbled with consecutive losses against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Downgraded play was expected minus Donovan Mitchell, and now rises more without Mike Conley tonight against the Kings. Yet, the Kings have a plethora of issues and starter’s out which should enable the Jazz to get back on track. Grab the Jazz. 

A major issue down the stretch of the NBA season will be spotlighted tonight by the Dallas Mavericks. After losing Monday to the Kings, Dallas now has several key players listed as questionable tonight against the Warriors.
