But, up against a tough WMU team on the road this isn't going to be a good game for them. Western Michigan has revenge on it's mind after the controversial loss to Michigan. Our selection is on the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks to cover the spread against the UAB Blazers on Saturday for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones: Louisiana-Monroe played an SEC opponent in Week One and are hungry after getting pummelled. UL Monroe has an improved offensive line with an experienced QB. The new-OC got some time to work with the guys in Week One and now he's ready. This will be the first meaningful game of the season for the Warhawks who weren't expecting anything out of the Miss St game. UAB lost by 21 against Illinois, but were in the game until allowing a Hail Mary before halftime while rushing zero players. Back in 2024, the Blazers got destroyed in this matchup 32-6. Here are some of the more important ones: California's defense didn't look too good against UCLA in the opening game, allowing 45 points in the loss. The Golden Bears are going to be expecting more of their quarterback in this one, a rising star in Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele. Syracuse's offense looked top tier in it's win. Even against an FCS opponent, scoring 66 points is no joke. Both teams ranked in the top 50 in seconds per play run last season and we're anticipating that to be the case again this season.
