The Cavaliers are just as talented as the 1 seed and they have the playmakers who can make a difference down the stretch of this game. Expect both Mitchell and Harden to step up in a big way, while the duo of Allen and Mobley make a huge impact in the middle. The Athletics and Phili clash and this is a good over spot. The Athletics goes with JT Ginn, who hasn’t been able to find any sort of rhythm so far. He owns an ERA well above 4 and was roughed up last time out for 5 runs against Cleveland. This Phili offense is heating up and they will put a lot of traffic on the bases against Ginn. Philadelphia counters pitching wise with Andrew Painter. He’s got an ERA of 5.28 and hasn’t surpassed 5 innings yet this season. Cleveland and Kansas City both have had offensive issues early and on a getaway day, this will be a game where we should see a lot of quick outs. Slade Cecconi is far better than his record shows and his key will be to avoid the long innings. He’s at his best when he keeps the free passes down and this is the perfect offense for him to see as Kansas City has struggled getting guys on. Cleveland’s offense has been the same and that bodes well for Seth Lugo. He owns a 2.68 ERA and has allowed 2 runs or less in all but one start so far. Pittsburgh and Arizona meet and we’re on the over. Pittsburgh turns go Mitch Keller and he’s been hit around a few times this season. His last road start saw him go just 5.0 innings and allow 3 runs to the Brewers in a no decision. This will mark only his 3rd road start this season and we’ve seen Arizona be a scrappy offense that really makes pitchers work. Gallen will counter for the Dbacks and he just has struggled as a whole. He owns a 4.45 ERA and was shelled for 7 hits and 6 runs in his last outing. He’s struggled with command and hasn’t been able to work deep in games for the most part, as his pitch count gets up early. Expect this game to feature a lot of deep counts and base runners, as both starting pitchers have been vulnerable to the big inning. Grab the over.
