Houston and Arizona open a weekend series and the Astros have value. Houston continues to pace the West and they’re playing extremely well right now. They took 3 of 4 against the White Sox and timely hits are becoming a norm for them again. They’ll go up against Merrill Kelly, who is just 9-12 and owns an ERA over 5. This is a bad matchup for him against a lineup that is manufacturing runs and continuing to make opposing pitchers work. Houston counters with Cristian Javier, who has been able to at least keep them in ballgames as of late. Houston is the better team overall and they’ll get to Kelly early. Back Houston.

Orioles +107

Baltimore and Boston continue their series and it’s the Orioles with value. Baltimore continues to try and battle for the third Wild Card and will turn to Shane Baz. The RH has pitched relatively well as of late but has been on the tough end of lack of run support. He’s very familiar with Boston and this is a lineup that he can keep off balanced. Ranger Suarez counters and he’s started to struggle after his hot start. The Yankees got him for 6 runs last time out and Baltimore’s offense has been able to manufacture runs well. This is too nice of a price to pass up on. Back Baltimore.

Stanford +24.5

Stanford and Miami clash on Friday night and Stanford is the move here. They opened their season in Week 0 with a win over Hawaii as they put up 37 points. This offense has a lot more talent than in recent seasons and QB Davis Warren will look to build off his 310 yard performance. Miami has high expectations after last season, but will have a tough start here traveling across the country. They’ll be some rust while Stanford has a game under their belts. Expect the Cardinal to keep this closer than the experts think. Back the Cardinal.
