Preview

Dallas finds itself in the same position as last season with QB Romo on the sidelines again with an injury while the Redskins have high hopes after winning the division title last season with a strong push at the end of the season and a breakout year from QB Cousins. The first week played out with a loss by Dallas which was not unexpected but Washington was trounced at home surprisingly by Pittsburgh.

The oddsmakers have the Redskins as a 2.5 point favorite with the total at 45 and even with Romo out 56% of the public favor Dallas and 57% like the over according to Covers.com consensus analysis in a game being played at Washington. Rookie QB Prescott led Dallas to scores on their first 3 possessions but the defense allowed the Giants to score a game winning TD with just over 6 minutes left in the game. The Redskin defense allowed Big Ben to pass for 300 yards and 3 TD’s while Cousins threw 2 picks in the loss.

A loss this week would be a blow to the Redskins considering that they are expected to win the division and they are playing a Dallas team without Romo at QB.
