Did James Harden Throw Game 6 of Last Year’s Western Conference Semifinals?
May 11, 2017 – It was exactly one year ago today that the Rockets were eliminated in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals versus San Antonio. The result itself was overshadowed by the play of MVP candidate James Harden, who finished with 10 points on 2-of-11 shooting.
Harden didn’t just miss his shots, he didn’t even attempt a shot in the first quarter. His body language indicated that he was completely disinterested in the game from the opening tip off. Stephen A. Smith said the following day on national television: “there should be some kind of investigation”. He went on to say that “he didn’t choke, he didn’t show up in the first place”.
Adding fuel to the fire, Harden was filmed partying and dancing at a nightclub after the game. Then a few days later, Harden was in the news again, this time he was accused of assaulting and robbing the son of NBA legend Moses Malone. The incident allegedly took place outside of a Houston strip club, as retribution for comments Moses Malone Jr. made about Harden on social media.
Harden is known to spend a great deal of his time, and his money in strip clubs. Aspiring Instagram models have posted pictures of Harden in their beds, and the large sums of cash that he’s left behind.
Unfortunately there never was any investigation into whether or not Harden threw Game 6 versus the Spurs. I don’t think there’s any question that he threw the game, the only question is why?
