After getting shutout through Games 1 and 2 of this home series versus San Francisco, the Dodgers remain heavy favorites in Game 3 Saturday.
Derek Holland will toe the slab for San Francisco, and the 31 year old is trying to get his career back on track. He was once considered an ace when he was with the Rangers earlier in his career. While he doesn’t come in with a ton of outstanding numbers, he has the skill set to take advantage of a struggling Dodgers offense in a pitcher’s park.
LA will hand the ball to Kenta Maeda, who loves pitching at Dodgers Stadium. The 29 year old was 8-1 with a 2.88 ERA in 11 stats in LA last season. He struggled in his only start versus the Giants though, giving up four runs (a pair of home runs) over just three innings in an 8-6 loss.
