THE ICEMAN’S 2017 COLLEGE FOOTBALL YEAR IN REVIEW

There are a few games remaining on this season’s college football schedule, but with no more games in 2017, I thought it would be interesting to take a look at the numbers for the calendar year (Jan 1, 2017 – Dec 31, 2017).

I came into 2017 enjoying my best ever season with college football, and I capped it off with a huge win with Clemson in the National Championship Game. My overall record for the calendar year of 2016 was a phenomenal 48-29 for a profit of +$16,346 units, and a winning percentage over 62 percent. Now those of you who know a lot about sports betting will understand that it’s extremely rare to see anyone hit over 60 percent for an entire season.

So heading into 2017, I knew it was going to be tough to repeat what I had done the year before. I had told myself that I would be satisfied with anything over 55 percent, but I would be over the moon if I could hit 57 percent. Even after a tough 1-2 day with yesterday’s bowl games, I finished with a record of 64-46 for a profit of +$10,270 units and a winning percentage of over 58 percent.

Needless to say, I am absolutely thrilled with those numbers. Contrary to what some people in the media might say… nobody wins 60 percent of their bets every year. Now that we are up to speed with the results, let’s break down the most interesting things that happened during my 2017 college football betting season.
