PREVIEW: Two of the most prominent college football teams face off for the first time in 33 years when the Buckeyes visit the Sooners Saturday night. They have faced each other twice in their storied histories and each team has won a game. The odds makers have made the Buckeyes a small two and a half point favorite and two thirds of the public seem to agree according to Covers.com consensus analysis while the total opened at 64.5. The Buckeyes have two wins under their belts outscoring their opponents 125-13 and covering the spread in both games while the Sooners lost their first game in Houston as a favorite before storming back for a week 2 win while not covering in that game either. The Buckeyes offense has been on a roll as they have passed for over 560 yards and rushed for over 600 yards with over 700 total yards coming in their first game while the Sooners got over 600 yards total in their second game but their secondary have allowed almost 600 yards in both games combined. The Buckeyes have covered the spread in five of their last six games while the Sooners have failed to cover in four of their last five. This game should be one of the better matchups we see all year and a real football fan’s delight.
