Packers vs. Redskins Betting Preview

It is safe to say that the Packers’ season has bottomed out to a new low as they committed three turnovers while giving up 47 points in their loss to the Titans last week. Even their coveted run defense gave up 162 rushing yards in the loss. They have now lost three straight games and four of their last five while giving up at least 30 points in each those losses. Their offense is also struggling and in four of their last five games they are averaging less than 24 points a game.

The Redskins are playing well and have lost just one game out of their last seven. They have scored at least 26 points in five of those games and have held their opponents to 20 points or less in five as well. Quarterback Kirk Cousins is ranked fourth in the league with over 2700 passing yards and 14 touchdown passes while the team is ranked 6th in total offense and third in passing with over 294 yards a game. Their defense bends but it doesn’t break giving up 23 points a game.

The oddsmakers have the Redskins a 2.5 point favorite and set the total at 50. According to Covers.com Consensus Analysis 53% of the public have given up on Green Bay and are backing Washington while a huge 74% believe the offenses will take the total over.

The Packers have won six of the last seven games and five of the wins were by at least 14 points.
