PREVIEW: Like leap year, this will be the fourth straight time these teams have met with a gap of four years between each meeting. Last season the Steelers seemed to have one of the best teams on paper but injuries took their toll especially when Big Ben went down. But Ben came back and led the team to the playoffs where they eventually were knocked out by the Broncos. Washington won their division by taking control when nobody else in the division would and won five of it’s last six games. With the current line at three, two thirds of the public think Pittsburgh is the team to beat according to Covers.com consensus analysis while they are almost split on the total with the under getting 56% of the action. Big Ben’s credentials were well known but Cousins had a break out year and was one of the better QBs in the league throwing for over 4000 yards. The Steelers defense has held the Redskins to under 14 points in their last five meetings but Washington put up over 30 points in their last three wins in 2015 under Cousins before losing to the Packers in the playoffs. This game should be a good test for both teams to gauge where this season might take them.

Previous Meetings:
10/28/12: Redskins 12 @ Steelers 27
11/03/08: Steelers 23 @ Redskins 6
11/28/04: Redskins 7 @ Steelers 16

Trends:
– The Steelers are 7-3-2 ATS in their last 12 road games
– The Redskins are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall
– The under is 5-0 the last 5 meetings
