Redskins vs. Eagles Betting Preview 12/11/16 – NFC East Showdown

Betting Preview

Both Philadelphia and Washington were thinking about the playoffs at the midpoint of the season but now both might have to run the table to get there.

The Redskins have gone 2-3-1 in their last six games with both losses and the tie coming on the road and are now sitting in third place in their division. Quarterback Kirk Cousins has led the team with his passing and although the Redskins have lost two straight games he has thrown for over 700 yards an four touchdowns in the losses. The problem has been with their defense that gave up 31 points in each of their last two games and they hadn’t given up that many points since the first game of the year.

The Eagles are in worse shape having lost five of their last six games and dropping into last place in the division. Their problem has been their offense that has been held to 15 points or less in their last three games which are all losses. Quarterback Carson Wentz who started out the season on fire has thrown just three touchdowns with six interceptions in his last three games. The only saving grace for the Eagles is they are at home where they are 4-1.

The oddsmakers have made this game a Pick’em with the total at 46.5. According to Covers.com Consensus Analysis a whopping 70% of the public believe the Redskins are the better team even on the road and 64% feel the over won’t be a problem.

Washington has won the last four meetings between these teams.
