The North Carolina Tar Heels hit the road for a game this evening at Miami to take on the Hurricanes. The Heels are 12-4 S/U and 7-9 ATS on the season. NCU has won two straight and four of their last five both S/U and ATS. They are coming off a win at home against Georgia Tech, 88-65. The Miami Hurricanes are 13-4 S/U and 8-9 ATS. The Canes are coming off a road loss to Florida State, 64-65, covering the 6.5-point dog line. That one-point loss snapped a nine-game winning streak. The Canes are also 8-1 S/U at home, though they have covered just four of those nine games. This will be their first game as a home dog and I like taking the points here. Play Miami-Florida.

 Mountain West action here tonight has Wyoming playing at Nevada. The Wyoming Cowboys are having a fine season with a 12-2 S/U mark and 8-3-2 ATS record. The Cowboys are outscoring their opponents by a 77.1 to 63.5 overall average. The Cowboys have been good on the road too, posting a 4-1 S/U and ATS mark. Wyoming has won three straight games including last game at Utah State, 71-69 as a 5.5-point dog. The Nevada Wolf packing not having the kind of season they are used to with just a 8-6 S/U mark and 4-9 ATS spread record. The Pack are 5-2 S/U at home, but just 1-5 vs the number. They have not covered a spread in their last five attempts. They are coming off a home win over Air Force, 75-68 but failed to cover the 8-point spread. I like Wyoming here tonight as a small road dog.

The Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens look to improve to 12-6 here today as they travel to Northeastern. The Hens are 11-6 S/U and 7-9 ATS on the season. They have outscored opponents by a 74.9 to 70.5 average. The Hens are 4-4 S/U and ATS on the road and outscoring opponents by a 72.5 to 71.8 average. The Hens looks to rebound from their loss over Hofstra in their last game, 77-82. Northeastern Huskies are having a poor season with a 6-10 S/U and ATS mark. The Huskies have lost six straight games and are 1-5 vs the number in that stretch. I don't see the Huskies getting back to the win column today. I'll take Delaware.

Ivy league action here tonight has Harvard traveling to Dartmouth. The Harvard Crimson are 8-5 S/U with a 5-6 spread mark on the season. The Crimson are outscoring their opponents by a 77.2 to 70.6 average overall. Harvard is 2-3 both S/U and ATS on the road and exactly even in scoring. Harvard has won three of their last four games including last time out at Columbia, 91-82 as a 10-point favorite. The Dartmouth Big Green are just 4-10 S/U and 6-6-1 ATS on the season. They are 2-2 S/U and 1-1-1 ATS at home. The Big Green have won just one time in their last 10 games. They are coming off a loss at Penn, 68-78 as a 5-point dog. Harvard only laying 1 1/2 or 2-points against a Dartmouth team that has just one win in their last 10 games. I'll take that little more than a straight up win for Harvard here tonight. Play Harvard.

The James Madison Dukes look to keep their winning ways going tonight at Elon. The Dukes are 11-3 S/U and 8-4 ATS on the season. They are outscoring their opponents 79.1 to 67.2 average overall. They are 3-0 S/U and 2-1 ATS on the road and outscoring their hosts by a 81 to 78 average. Madison has won two straight games including last game at William & Mary, 95-91 as a 11-point favorite. The Elon Phoenix are just 4-13 S/U and 5-10 ATS on the year. The Phoenix have lost three straight games and seven of their last nine. They are also just 4-5 ATS the last nine. Elon is coming off a loss at home to Towson, 54-59 as a 4.5-point dog. Big difference in class of teams here and I'll take the visitor in this one in what should be an easy win. Play James Madison.

The Charlotte 49ers look to hit the double digit mark in win here today as they play at Florida Atlantic. The 49ers have won four straight games an gone 3-1 against the spread. Florida Atlantic looks to get back to the .500 mark with a win tonight. The Owls are 7-8 S/U and 6-7 ATS. The Owls have lost two straight games and three of the last four. Charlotte will take this one tonight. Play Charlotte.

The Brooklyn Nets hit the road here tonight as they head to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers. The Nets are 27-15 S/U and 16-25 ATS on the season. They just finished up a small 2-game home stint where they split the two games both S/U and ATS. They won their last game over the New Orleans Pelicans, 120-105 as a 5.5-point favorite. Spread wins have not come easy for this team with just two over their last 10 games. They face a much improved Cleveland Cavs team here tonight. The Cavaliers having a fine season with a 26-18 S/U and 27-14-3 spread record. The Cavs looks to win their fifth in row here tonight and have a 3-1-1 spread mark over the last five games. Cleveland has a 11-9 home record and a 13-6-1 home spread mark. The Cavs have outscored their visitors by a 108.1 to 101.9 average score. Cleveland laying 3-points here tonight looks to be a mark they can cover on their home court. Play Cleveland.

The Bradley Braves look to get back to the .500 mark with a win today over their neighbors and rivals, Illinois State. The Braves are just 8-9 S/U and 9-7 ATS on the season. They are 1-4 S/U and 3-2 on the road where they have been outscored by a 69 to 73.6 average. Illinois State Redbirds also look to keep their heads above the .500 mark today as they sit at 8-8 overall. The birds are 7-6-1 vs the number. At home they are 7-2 S/U and 3-3-1 and outscoring their visitors by a 77.8 to 70.8 average. You can throw out numbers in this rivalry as both teams give their all in this matchup. I'll take Illinois State here.

The San Francisco 49ers showed a lot of guts in week 18 at the Rams. Down 0-17 they clawed their way back to tie the game in the 4th quarter and had a chance to take the lead before Rams CB Ramsey made a circus interception at the same time the refs missed a roughing on the QB. The Rams took over the ball and marched the field to score the go ahead TD. After a SF punt and defensive stand, they Niners got the ball back with not much time on the clock and no time outs. QB Jimmy Garappolo marched the Niners the length of the field for the TD and forced OT where they kicked a field goal. The Rams threw an INT on the subsequent possession and SFO goes to the playoffs.  Look for the Niners to run the ball down the Cowboys throats and use a physical defense to win this game.  I like the 49ers a lot in this matchup.

The Philadelphia Eagles got into the playoffs but no thanks to their last regular season game.  The Eagles lost last Saturday at home to the Dallas Cowboys, 26-51.  Tampa Bay had little trouble with the Carolina Panthers, winning at home 41-17.  I see the key to this game as the running game for the Eagles. The Eagles need to run effectively in order to win games. Problem is they are playing one of the best run defenses in the league in the Tampa Bay Bucs.  The Bucs look to start defense of their NFL Championship with Tom Brady and a patchwork of receivers. They lost Antonio Brown when he stormed off the field. The already have lost Chris Goodwin to a season-ending injury. Now they have lost Cyril Grayson who was injured in the Panthers win. But, Brady still seems to find the right receivers at the right time. I'll lay the points at home here with the Bucs as their defense comes up big in this game.

Niagara Purple Eagles look to stay above the .500 mark today as they travel to Iona. The Eagles are 7-7 S/U and 8-5 ATS on the season and outscoring their opponents by a 69.1 to 64.6 average. The Eagles are also 4-2 ATS on the road in their six games and just being outscored by a 64.7 to 66 average. Niagara has won two straight games including last time out over Canisius, 68-58. You might ask yourself, what ever happened to Rick Patino? Well, he's alive and well as the coach of the Iona Gaels. The Gaels are having a fine season under Pationo with a 13-3 S/U record and a 10-6 spread mark. Iona has won two straight games and seven of their last nine. They have only covered one of their last three however. Iona is a very good team, but double digits are a bit too much here on Sunday. Play Niagara.

Navy Midshipmen are 11-5 S/U 10-5 ATS on the season. The Middies had their four game win streak snapped last game by Colgate, 50-69 as a 2-point favorite. That also snapped a four game spread win streak. Still, Navy has done well vs the number this year, especially on the road where they are 6-2 ATS. They are also outscoring their opponents on the road by a 67.6 to 60.5 average. The Boston Terriers are 10-7 S/U and 7-8-2 ATS on the season. The Terriers are 5-2 at home, but have only covered two of those seven games. Boston has won just one of their last three games and two of the last five games. I like the visitor in today's contest. The Liberty Flames are 11-6 S/U and 6-7-1 ATS on the season. The Flames have won three straight games and gone 2-0-1 ATS in their last four games. They are coming off a win over North Florida, 71-56, just failing to cover the 15-point favorite line. Florida Gulf Coast also has a 11-6 S/U record with a 7-8 ATS mark. The Eagles have lost two straight games, including last time out at Kennesaw State, 53-77 as a 4.5-point favorite. Florida Gulf Coast is a very nice 9-1 S/U at home, but just 4-4 vs the number. I'll take Liberty here tonight.

Oklahoma State Cowboys take on the Baylor Bears in a Big 12 matchup here today. The Cowboys are just 8-7 and look to keep from falling back to the .500 mark with a win tonight. The Cowboys have been slumping, losing two straight and six of the last eight games. They are coming off a loss at Texas Tech, 57-78, their second straight road loss. Ok State is just 1-2 S/U and 0-3 on the road this season and being outscore by 10-points per game. The Baylor Bears having another fine season. The Bears are 15-1 S/U and 9-6-1 ATS on the season. Their only loss of the season coming last game at home to Texas Tech, 63-65 as a 11.5-point favorite. The Bears should be plenty mad here today after that loss and looking to take it out on someone. Sorry Cowboys, that looks like you. Play Baylor.

The Raiders had to win down the stretch to get here and they did it with an interim coach, something not done in 60-years. They also had a chance to tie and send the Chargers to the playoffs too, but they were able to get into Field goal range late in OT and get the win. The weather looks to be cold here on Sunday with a 50% chance of snow, something Vegas isn't used to playing in. The lowest temp Vegas has played this year was 40 degrees and that was a Vegas win at Cleveland, 16-14. The Bengals will host their first playoff game since 2015. I don't think any team has gone through as much controversy this year as the Raiders have. Yet, they seem to be able to come out all right. I like playing dogs in the playoffs and the Raiders look to have a excellent shot of winning this game today. Play the Raiders.

Big 12 action here today has 13-3 Texas taking on Iowa State. The Longhorns have lost just one game in their last eight games. However, they aren't as good vs the number where they are 3-5 ATS the last eight. Texas isn't as good on the road where all their losses have come, going 1-3 S/U and ATS and getting outscored by a 63.8 to 67.8 average. Iowa State also having a very good year with a 13-3 S/U record and 10-6 spread mark. They Cyclones are trying to snap a two game losing streak here tonight. They have lost both on the road at Oklahoma and last game at Kansas, 61-62. They have covered four of their last six games. They have also been very good at home, going 10-1 S/U and 6-5 ATS. I like Iowa State at home where they are very tough. Play Iowa State.

The Vermont Catamounts look to extend their four game win streak here tonight at Md Baltimore County. The Catamounts are 10-4 overall on the season and 7-6 vs the number. They have held their opponents to just 61 ppg this year. Vermont has done well vs the number of late, covering four straight and five of their last six games. The MD Baltimore County Retrievers look to get back to the .500 mark with a win today. They are just 6-7 overall on the season and snapped a five game losing streak with a win at New Jersey Tech last game, 76-56. They have also covered just one of their last six games. The Retrievers are 2-2 at home and 1-2 vs the number. They will have their hands full today with a very good Vermont team. I'll take the visitor in this one. Play Vermont.

The Dayton Flyers hit the road today for a game at Duquesne. The Flyers are 10-6 S/U and 8-8 ATS on the season. They are outscoring their opponents by a 69.9 to 63.2 average. The Flyers have won two straight games over George Washington and last time out over St Louis, 68-63, covering the three-point favorite line. Duquesne not having a good season as they sit at just 6-8 S/U. The Dukes are also 6-8 ATS on the Season. The Dukes are 3-3 S/U and 1-5 ATS at home. The Dukes are coming off a loss at Fordham, 71-72 as a 2-point favorite. Two teams going in opposite directions here today. I'll stick with the better team. Take Dayton.

The Davidson Wildcats are 13-2 S/U and 11-3 ATS on the season. They haven't lost a game since they lost back-to-back and Nov 18 and 13th. The Cats have covered nine of their last 11 games. They have played four road games and are 3-1 S/U and 4-0 ATS. They will take on a Richmond Spiders team that is 10-6 S/U and 7-9 ATS on the season. While the Spiders are 7-1 S/U at home they are just 3-5 ATS. The Spiders have also covered just two of their last seven games overall. I'll take Davidson here today.

The Quinnipiac Bobcats hit the road today and hope to keep their record better than .500 with a win at Rider. The Cats are 7-6 S/U and 5-7 ATS on the season. They have outscored their opponents by a 73.7 to 69.6 average. The Cats have lost two straight games that snapped a four-game winning streak. The Rider Broncs have struggled this year to a 5-8 over S/U record. They have also covered just three of their last 12 games. Rider is coming off a rare S/U and ATS win (only 2nd time this season they have done that) when they beat and covered against Marist, 79-75, as a 7.5-point dog. I'll take the visitor in this game. Great Big 10 matchup here tonight between Ohio State and Wisconsin. The Ohio State Buckeyes are 10-3 S/U on the season and 6-7 vs the number. They hit the road tonight where they have been fair with a 2-2 S/U and 1-3 ATS mark. They lost last time on the road at Indiana, 51-67 as a 3.5-point dog. They followed that with a return home last game and win over Northwestern, 95-87, covering the 7.5-point line. They have already faced Wisconsin once and that was a Ohio State blowout win on their home court, 73-55 as a 5-point favorite. Wisconsin looks to return the favor here tonight and avenge one of only two losses on the season. Since they lost to Ohio State, the Badgers have won five straight games and covered their last three games. I'll take the Badgers here tonight.

The Wright State Raiders look to stay above the .500 mark tonight as they travel to Robert Morris. The Raiders are 8-7 S/U and 4-10 ATS on the season. After a horrible start that saw the team start the season 1-5 S/U and 0-5 ATS they have improved, winning five in a row and seven of their last nine games. They will face a horrible Robert Morris Colonials team here today that has just two wins against 13 losses on the season. They are 1-5 S/U and 1-4 ATS at home this season. Doesn't look too good tonight for the Colonials. Take Wright State.

The UNC Asheville Bulldogs are having a fine season after winning four straight games to improve to 10-5 on the season. The dogs also can cover, evidenced by their 9-3 spread mark this season. They are outscoring opponents by a 75.9 to 64.5 average overall. They take on a Winthrop Eagles team tonight not having the kind of season they are accustomed to having with just a 6-6 S/u record. They are also bad vs the number, covering just three of their 11 spread games. Yet, here is Winthrop tonight laying seven points. They are just 1-3 at home this season vs the number. This seven is just good to pass on. Play UNC Asheville.

The Brooklyn Nets play their second road game in a row here tonight in Chicago. They just make the long trip from Portland where they lost to the Blazers, 108-114 as a 9-point favorite. That was the team's seventh game in a row they have failed to cover the spread. They will take on a Chicago team here tonight that has a better record at 27-11 S/U and 23-15 ATS. The Bulls are coming off a win vs Detroit, 133-87. They have now won 10 of their last 11 games S/U and are 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games. They have been very good at home with a 15-4 S/U record and 13-6 spread mark. I'll take the Bulls on their home court here tonight.

Late action on the college hard court tonight has Santa Clara taking on Pacific. Santa Clara is 10-6 S/U and 6-7-2 ATS on the season. The Broncos are just 1-3 S/U and 1-2 ATS on the road though. They have won two straight games including last time out over San Jose State, 79-57 as a 6-point favorite. Pacific has struggled to a 5-10 S/U and 2-11 ATS mark on the year. They have lost four straight games and seven of the last eight. They have also covered just one of their last eight games. I like the Broncos here tonight at Pacific.

The Cleveland Cavaliers continue to be one of the surprising teams of the year with their 23-18 S/U record and 25-14-2 ATS mark. The Cavs are coming off a win at Sacramento last time out, 109-108, though they did fail to cover the 5.5-point spread. They have been decent on the road too, going 12-9 S/U and 12-8-1 ATS. They take on an always strong Utah Jazz team here today. The Jazz are 28-13 overall with a 19-22 spread mark. The Jazz have been in a bit of a slump of late, losers of three straight both S/U and ATS. They are also only 8-13 ATS at home. I'll take the points here tonight with a very under rated Cavs team.

The St Johns Red Storm are 9-4 S/U and 4-9 ATS on the season. The Storm have only played two away games and they are 0-2 S/U and 1-1 ATS. They are coming off a loss at Providence, 73-83 as a 3.5-point dog. The Connecticut Huskies are 10-4 S/U and 7-7 ATS on the season. They are coming off a loss at Seton Hall, 87-89 as a 4.50-point dog. The Huskies are just 3-3 S/U and ATS over their last six games. They are 6-1 S/U and 3-4 ATS at home. St Johns getting double digits here today is a bit high. My numbers have them about five points less. I'll take that number though.

The Miami Heat having a fine season thus far with a 25-15 S/U record and 23-17 spread record. The Heat have won two straight games and covered three straight. That includes last time out over one of the best in the NBA the Phoenix Suns in blowout, 123-100 as 8.5-poing dogs. The Heat take on an Atlanta team that is 17-22 S/U and 15-24 ATS. The Hawks have lost two straight and six if their last eight games. They have also gone 2-7 ATS int their last 9 games. The Hawks also have a losing home record at 8-9 S/U and 7-10 ATS. I'll take the Heat here tonight.

SEC action here tonight has Florida hosting LSU. The LSU Tigers are 14-1 S/U and 12-3 ATS on the season. What stands out to me is that the Tigers have only one true road game this year and that resulted in their only loss of the season to Auburn, 55-70 as a 4.5-point dog. The Florida Gators are 9-5 S/U and 7-7 ATS on the season. They are 6-2 S/U and 5-3 ATS at home. I realize LSU has a great record this year but that one loss was on the road and that's just where they are tonight. I'll take Florida.

The Clemson Tigers are 10-5 S/U and 9-5-1 ATS to start their season. The Tigers are 2-2 S/U and ATS on the road this year and are outscoring opponents by a 69-67.3 average. The Notre Dame fighting Irish are 9-5 S/U and 4-9 ATS on the season. The Irish are a perfect 6-0 S/U and 3-3 vs the number at home and outscoring their visitors by a 75-62.2 average. The Irish have won five straight games and covered three of their last five. I like the Irish tonight on their home court.

The Villanova Wildcats are 11-4 S/U and 9-6 ATS on the season. The Cats have won four straight games both S/U and ATS on the season. The Cats have played six road games and are 3-3 S/U and 2-4 ATS on the year. They have also been outscored on the road by a 65.8 to 68.2 average. Meanwhile, Xavier is 12-2 S/U and 10-4 ATS. They have been perfect at home with a 9-0 record while covering seven of those nine. Xavier laying just one or 1 1/2 at home where they have yet to lose a game. The Tigers lone loss this year coming back on Nov 24 to Connecticut, 109-115. They are coming off a win over Florida, 85-73 as a 7.5-point favorite. The Tigers have only three true road games and they are 3-0 S/U, but have covered just one of those three games. Alabama is 11-4 S/U and 7-7-1 ATS on the season. The Crimson Tide are coming off a loss at Missouri, 86-92 as a 14-point favorite. The Tide are a perfect 7-0 at home this season and outscoring their visitors by a 82.4 to 69.7 average score. The Golden State Warriors got a huge emotional boost last game when they welcomed back the 2nd member of their back-court team, Klay Thomspon. The results was a 96-82 win over Cleveland an the teams 30th win of the season. Memphis also having a nice season with a 28-14 record and 27-15 spread mark. The Grizzlies have been hot, winning nine straight games and covering eight of those. They have also been scoring well, averaging 112.1 ppg overall and 114 ppg at home. Tough game here tonight, but I'm sticking with the red-hot Grizzlies in this one. Play Memphis.

The Phoenix Suns are tied with the Golden State Warriors, each with 30 wins in the NBA West. The Suns are 30-9 S/U and 21-18 ATS on the season. The Suns coming off a loss last game at home to Miami Heat, 100-123. That loss snapped a three-game win streak. The Toronto Raptors are 20-17 S/U and ATS on the season. The Raptors bring a six game win streak into today's contest. They are also 6-1 ATS in their last seven games. I look for the Suns to bounce back from their poor performance at home last game. Massachusetts Minutemen look to stay above the .500 mark tonight with their game at Davidson. The Minutemen are 7-7 S/U and ATS on the season. The have lost two straight games including last time out vs Duquesne, 74-78 as a 4.5-point favorite. Davidson Wildcats are 12-2 S/U and 11-2 ATS on the season. The Cats haven't lost a game since Nov 18th to New Mexico State, 64-76. They won last game against Rhode Island, 72-68 as a 8-point favorite but failed to cover the spread. Davidson won't be giving U Mass much attention here tonight as a double-digit favorite. With a big game against Rhode Island looming, I'll take the points with U Mass here.

They have also outscored their hosts, 106.3 to 102.9 average. The Kings have struggled to a 16-26 and 17-25 ATS mark. They have lost four straight both S/U and ATS. They also played last night at Portland and lost 88-103. Now they have to play the second of a back-to-back spot here tonight. The Kings have covered just three of their last 11 games. I like the Cavs here tonight against what should be a tired Kings team.

 The San Diego Toreros look to keep their heads above the .500 mark with a win tonight at Pepperdine. The Toreros are 7-7 S/U and 5-7 ATS overall this season. They are just 1-4 S/U and 2-3 on the road and being outscored 63.6 to 74.8 average. They have lost two straight games, including last time out at San Francisco, 73-88 as a 17.5-point dog. Pepperdine looks to get back to winning tonight after their loss at Gonzaga last game, 83-117 as a 30-point dog. The Waves are 6-11 S/U and 7-8 ATS on the season. They are better at home where they are 6-1 S/U and 5-1 ATS and outscoring their visitors by a 74.5 to 66.6 average. I like Pepperdine on their home court here tonight.

Lets face it, you can make a argument for either side here in this Championship game. Both teams demolished their opening round opponents with Alabama crushing Cincinnati and Georgia easily handling Michigan. Both sides are loaded with great players and both teams have potent offenses and great defenses. Alabama leads this all-time series with Georgia and has won the last seven times against the Bulldogs. Yet, here we are the Tide are a small dog tonight. These teams met for the National Championship back in 2017 with Alabama winning 26-23 in a come from behind victory. Alabama won last year's championship by easily defeating Ohio State, 52-24. Alabama HC Nick Sabin has won seven national championships while Georgia hasn't won since 1980. This one is all about the Georgia defense vs the Alabama offense. I'm sticking with the team that has history on its side. Take Alabama.

Southern Conference action tonight has Wofford traveling to North Carolina to take UNC Greensboro. Wofford is 9-6 S/U and 7-6 ATS on the season. The Terriers are coming off a win over East Tennessee State, 68-57 as a 3-point favorite. The Terriers are 4-3 S/U and ATS on the road where they are outscoring their hosts by a 70.1 to 66 average. The Greensboro Spartans are 9-5 S/U and 6-6-1 ATS. The Spartans are 5-1 S/U and 2-2-1 ATS at home and outscoring their visitors by a 62.3 to 55.3 average. The Golden State Warriors will see something happen today they haven't seen in a long time. What is it? The return of Klay Thompson. That's right, Thompson and Curry are back together in the backcourt today. Both players have dealt with injuries but both are back in the lineup today. That's bad news for the Cleveland Cavaliers. I believe Klay's return will be more emotional than anything. He likely won't play a long time. I'll take the Warriors here on an emotional day.

The game with the most importance to both teams was moved to Sunday night as the Raiders host the Chargers. The winner of this game will get into the playoffs while the loser goes home. The Chargers coming off a win last week vs Denver, 34-13, snapped a two-game losing streak. Las Vegas has won three straight to keep their playoff hopes alive, though they do need that fourth here today. They beat the Colts last week on the road, 23-20 with Carlson hitting the game winning field goal as time expired. The good news for the Raiders is that they might get back TE Darren Waller here today who has missed time with both injury and Covid protocols. In fact, the Raiders have a number of players they might get back Sunday coming off their Covid protocols. This is a call either way, but for me I'll take Vegas as a home dog since I look for them to win this game. Play the Raiders.

Seattle won't be going to the postseason but they hope to finish their season on a positive note with a win here today at Arizona. The Seahawks are coming off a big home win last week over Detroit, 51-29. Arizona finally got back to the win column last week with a victory over Dallas, 25-22. I don't believe records will come into play here today. The Hawks have a lot of players looking to change their fortunes for next season and they won't mail this one in. The Cardinals win the NFC title with a win here today but they also need the Rams to lose. I expect a lot closer game than most in this one. I'll take the points with Seattle.

The Hofstra Pride hit the road today for a conference game at James Madison. The Pride are 8-6 S/U and 8-4 ATS on the season. They are coming off a loss to William and Mary, 62-63 as a 17-point favorite. The Pride are just 2-6 S/U and 4-4 ATS on the road this year and getting outscored by a 69.8 to 73.9 average. The James Madison Dukes are having a fine season with a 9-2 S/U and 7-2 ATS record. The Dukes have won four straight games including last time out over Radford, 79-70 as a 8.5-point favorite. They have also covered three straight games. Poor road team in Hofstra against a JM team that is 6-0 S/U and 4-0 ATS at home. Take James Madison

The Fairfield Stags look to rebound after three straight losses. The Stags have lost the U Mass, Wagner and then last game to Marist, 51-60. Their odds look pretty good today against a Siena Saints team that has just four wins against six losses. The Saints have played better of late, winning two straight games and four of their last six. Still, Fairfield is the class of this matchup. Take the visitors in this one with Fairfield.

Cleveland State Vikings having a fine season with a 9-3 S/U and 5-5 ATS record. The Vikings have won three straight games and nine of their last 10 games. Youngstown State is 9-6 S/U and 6-7 ATS on the year. The Penguins are coming off a loss to IUPUFW, 61-71 and have lost three of their last five games. Rivalry game here with these two Ohio teams facing off. I'll take the visitor. Play Cleveland State.

The Cincinnati Bengals lost their slim chances at the AFC No 1 seed when the Chiefs beat Denver on Saturday. That means this game has no meaning other than the rivalry that these two Ohio teams have. The Browns won the last meeting between these teams back on week nine, 41-16 at Cincinnati. The Browns won't be going to the postseason after a 7-9 mark thus far, but this game could help those sour feelings a bit. Now that Cincinnati has nothing to play for, QB Joe Burrow won't play today. That leaves Brandon Allen to do the signal calling duties for the Bengals. Baker Mayfield will also sit out this game for the Browns with a shoulder injury. I like Case Keenum, the backup for the Browns here today. Nothing to play for, I'll take the Browns who want their season to end in a win.

Both the Cowboys and Eagles have clinched a spot in the postseason. Dallas is 11-5 on the season and the NFC East champion. They will be the No 4 seed and can improve to No 2 with some additional help. The Eagles are 9-7 and the No 7 seed. The Eagles could actually lose today and still move up in the seeding. The Eagles are 6-1 in their last seven games and look to avenge a 41-21 loss to the Cowboys earlier this season. Both teams likely will be without some players today. The snow looks to have moved on here tonight, but it's going to be cold night in Philly with the low around 20 degrees. I will take the home team here and look for some revenge for that loss earlier in the season. Play Philadelphia.

SEC Action here tonight has Florida Gators playing at the Auburn Tigers. The Gators are 9-4 S/U and 7-6 ATS on the season. They are coming off a loss at home to Alabama, 70-83 as a 1.5-point favorite. The Gators are just 3-4 S/U and 2-5 ATS in their last five games. They have played just one true road game at Oklahoma and lost 67-74 as a 1-point favorite. The Tigers are having a fine season with a 13-1 S/U and 10-4 ATS mark on the season. The Tigers only setback coming back on Nov 24 to U Conn, 109-115 as a 2.5-point dog. Auburn has won 10 straight since then and covered eight of their last 10 games. The Gators are 0-4 ATS in their last four road games. Auburn is 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games and 16-5-2 ATS in their last 23 games as a favorite. I like Auburn to blow away this Florida team tonight. Play Auburn.

The Northern Iowa Panthers look to get back to .500 mark here today with a win at Missouri State. The Panthers are 6-7 S/U and 4-7-1 ATS on the season. They are 2-2 S/U and ATS in their four away games and outscoring their hosts by a 78.5 to 76.0 average score. NIU is coming off two straight wins over Evansville and then last time out over Valpo, 92-65. In fact, they have won their last two games by a combined 175-126 score. Missouri State is 11-5 S/U and 9-6 ATS on the season. The Bears are 6-2 S/U and 4-3 ATS at home. I like Northern Iowa here today as they have been hot and getting points today. Take Northern Iowa.

Mountain West action here tonight has the undefeated Colorado State Rams taking on San Diego State Aztecs. Colorado State is 11-0 S/U after winning their opening conference game over Air Force, 67-59. The Rams have covered three of their last four games and five of their last seven. The Aztecs are 9-3 S/U and 6-6 ATS on the season. San Diego State opened conference play with a win at UNLV, 62-55 and covering the 3-point favorite line. Today, they host the Rams and are a 2.5 point favorite. I'll take the undefeated Rams here as a dog.

The Memphis Grizzlies continue to excel this year as they improved to 26-14 on the season after their win over Detroit, 118-88. That makes seven straight wins for Memphis and covers in six of the last seven. They take on a struggling LA Clipper team that is just 19-20 on the year. The Clippers have lost two straight games including last game at Phoenix, 89-106. They are also just 1-4 ATS in their last five games. I like the red-hot Grizzlies to continue their winning ways here today. Play Memphis.

The Seton Hall Pirates and U Conn Huskies both come into today's Conference matchup with identical 10-3 records. The Pirates are coming off a win at Butler, 71-56 as a 3.5-point favorite. The Pirates have been very good at home, posting a 7-1 S/U and 5-2 spread mark. They also outscore their visitors this year by a 82.9 to 61.1 average. The Huskies could be rusty today as they have not hit the hard court since their December 21st win over Marquette, 78-70. They have only two true road games and are 1-1 both S/U and ATS and have scored an average of just 65.5 ppg. I like the host to start the early games here today. Play Seton Hall.

The Xavier Musketeers are 11-2 S/U and 9-4 ATS on the season. The Musketeers hit the road for just their third true road game of the season. They are 11-1 both S/U and ATS in their previous two road games. Xavier also outscores their opponents by a 75.5 to 62 point average overall on the season. The Butler Bulldogs are just 8-5 S/U after losing their last game to Seton Hall, 56-71 as a 3.5-point dog. The Dogs have covered just one of their last four games. They are also 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games. The road team has covered four of the last five in this series and that's who I am on tonight. PAC-12 conference play tonight has USC putting its undefeated 12-0 record on the line as they play at California. The Trojans ran through the Non-conference schedule, with wins over Georgia Tech, Utah, San Diego State and Temple to name a few of the better teams. They will face a Cal team that went 9-5 in non-conference play. The Bears are coming off a win over Arizona State, 74-50 as a 1-point home favorite. The Bears have won five straight and covered eight of their last nine. I like getting points tonight with a Cal team I wouldn't be surprised to see in straight-up.

UAB Blazers head into conference play with a 12-3 S/U record and 9-3-1 ATS mark. The Blazers only played two true road games and was 1-1 both S/U and ATS in those games. They are coming off a win over Texas San Antonio, 87-59, as a 21-point favorite. That was the team's third straight win both S/U and ATS. Tonight they hit the road for a game at North Texas. North Texas Mean Green is a solid 8-3 S/U and 6-3 ATS on the season. They are coming off a win over Rice, 75-43 as a 10-point favorite. North Texas is 5-1 S/U and 2-2 ATS at home this year. Their only home loss coming vs Miami-Florida, 63-69 as a 2-point favorite. We need little more than a win here tonight as a 2-point favorite. I'll take the Mean Green at home where they have been almost perfect.

Extra board action here tonight has Radford playing at USC Upstate. The Radfor Highlanders are just 4-8 S/U on the season and 3-7 ATS. The Highlanders have lost four straight games and gone 1-3 ATS in those four. Radford is coming off a loss at Davidson, 54-74 as a 18-point dog. In fact, Radford has only been a favorite once this year. Now tonight they are favorites on the road. The USC Upstate Spartans are just 3-9 S/U and 5-4-1 ATS on the season. The Spartans are coming off a loss at Ohio U, 70-85, though they did cover the 22.5-point dog line. Upstate has just a 2-3 record at home and 1-2 spread mark. Still, they are outscoring their visitors by a 77.8 to 62.6 average score. Not sure why Radford the favorite here tonight, my number has this game a toss up. I'll take the points though with the host. Play USC Upstate.

The North Carolina Tar Heels look to build on their 10-3 record as they head to South Bend to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Tar Heels are just 5-8 vs the number this year. They are also 3-0 on the road and 2-1 ATS in their three true away games. The have won two straight games and seven of their last eight games including last time out at Boston College, 91-65. Notre Dame has struggled to a 7-5 mark this year, though they have won three straight games. However, two of those were against Texas A&M CC and Western Michigan. The Irish are just 2-9 ATS on the season and while they are 5-0 at home, they are just 2-3 vs the number. A lot of those home games coming against the likes of Cal Northridge, High Point, Chaminade and Texas A&M CC. North Carolina definitely the class of this matchup. I'll take North Carolina.

The VCU Rams are 7-4 S/U and ATS on the season. The Rams have won four straight games including last game at home over Florida Atlantic, 66-46. The Rams have also covered three straight and six of their last seven. Today they hit the road for a game at Dayton. The Dayton Flyers are 8-5 on the season and 6-7 vs the number. They are 5-3 S/U and 3-5 ATS at home and outscoring their visitors by a 70.6 to 61.3 average. This series has not only been dominated by the favorite, 10-1 last 11 meetings but also by the home team who is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings. Both those checks go to Dayton this evening and that's who I will be on. Play Dayton.

The Houston Cougars continue to shine this year with a 12-2 record. They are also 9-5 vs the spread this year. The Cougars play their second straight on the road. Last one was at Temple where they just did get the win, 66-61 as a 12.5-point favorite. Once again they are big road favorites here today at South Florida. Thus far they haven't played as well on the road. South Florida Bulls look to get one game closer to the .500 mark as they sit at 5-7. The Bulls are 4-3 S/U and 3-4 ATS at home this season and are holding their visitors to just 58.0 ppg. The only chance here today for the Bulls is to once again keep this score low. I'll take the 14-points and look for South Florida to keep the pace slow.

Next to last Bowl game of the season here on Tuesday in the Texas Bowl as LSU takes on Kansas State. In some of these games you can throw away numbers and look for motivation as your deciding factor. LSU became bowl eligible by winning it's last two games of the season over Texas A&M and UL Monroe. LSU has a myriad of issues as their coach Ed Orgeron was fired, they have transfer issues, injury issues and this team right now has only 40 scholarship players. This was a LSU defense that struggled at full strength at the beginning of the season let alone all the issues they have now. Kansas State returns QB Skylar Thompson who last played on Nov 20 and suffered an ankle injury. I don't see this LSU roster of straglers doing much here today and really looks only for the Bowl payday and lets go home. Take Kansas State.

The Providence Friars look to build on their strong start to the season as they are 13-1 S/U on the season and 10-4 ATS vs the spread. The Friars only loss of the season coming at the hands of Virginia back on Nov 23, 40-58. The Friars are coming off a win over Depaul last time out, 70-53. The Friars are led in scoring by Nate Watson with 13.9 ppg. Marquette looks to snap a four-game skid here today. The Golden Eagles started the season 8-2 before this latest four game losing streak. Those losses have come against very good competition including UCLA, Xavier and Connecticut. Marquette has beaten Kansas State, Wisconsin and Illinois this year - all as dogs. I like the home team here today, play Marquette.

The Illinois Fighting Illini begin their Big 10 play tonight with a road game at Minnesota. The Illini are 9-3 S/U and 6-6 ATS on the season. They only have two true road games thus far and they are 1-1 S/U and ATS in those two games. They are coming off a win over Missouri last time out, 88-63 on their home court. The Minnesota Golden Gophers are 10-1 with their only loss coming at home to Michigan State on Dec 8, 67-75. Otherwise they are a 5-1 S/U at home and 2-4 vs the number, outscoring their visitors by a 70.3 to 58.5 point average. Despite their very good home record, the Golden Gophers find themselves a 7-point home dog. That's too much for me to pass on. Take Minnesota.

ACC contest here today has Florida State Seminoles traveling to North Carolina to take on Wake Forest. The Seminoles are 7-4 so far on the season and 4-7 vs the spread. They are just 1-2 S/U and 0-3 ATS on the road and getting outscored in those games by a 67.7 to 81.7 margin. Wake Forest Demon Deacons are having a fine season with a 11-3 mark. They have lost two straight games, both on the road at Miami Florida and Louisville. Wake returns homes tonight where they are 8-0 S/U and 6-2 vs the number. Wake laying just 1 or 1.5 points here tonight needs little more than just an outright win on their home court. Take Wake Forest.

Reason: It's a season that the Seattle Seahawks would love to forget. They will miss the postseason with a 5-10 S/U record this season. They have averaged just 20.4 ppg with a very good QB and receivers. The running game has been suspect all year, but looked better in recent weeks with Penny back. The defense has been last or near the bottom of the NFL all year long. The Hawks have lost two straight, two weeks ago to the Rams, 10-20 and then last week at home to the Chicago Bears, 24-25 as a 7-point favorite. The Seahawks are just 4-9 ATS their last 13 vs a losing team. They are also 1-4 ATS in their last five as a home favorite. They face a scappy Detroit Lions team today. Despite going 0-9-1 in their first 11 games, they have won two games since against Minnesota and a blowout win over Arizona. They have also covered two straight and six of their last seven games. Two teams that have nothing to play for here today, but the Lions look to be the team with life in each game. I'll take the points and won't be surprised by another outright Lions win. Play Detroit.

 Arizona has fallen into 2nd place in the NFC West standings, one game back of the LA Rams. The Cardinals look to snap a 3-game losing streak here today at Dallas. The Cards are coming off a loss to the Colts, 16-22. That was on the heals of a loss at Detroit the previous week, 12-30. The Dallas Cowboys will be the NFC West Champion with an 11-4 record and a 3-game lead over the Eagles. The Cowboys have won four straight games both S/U and ATS. Dallas still trails Green Bay in the overall best NFC record. Plus the Bucs have an identical 11-4 record. The Cardinals have been very good on the road, evidenced by their 18-7-2 ATS record their last 27 games. The Cardinals have covered five of the last six games in this series and the dog is also 5-1 ATS. I'll take the dog Cardinals here today. Play Arizona.

Ohio State has had some time now to stew about their big loss to Michigan on Nov 27th, 27-42. The Buckeyes finished the season at 10-2 S/ and 7-5 ATS. Meanwhile, Utah brings a six game win streak into today's Rose Bowl at Pasadena. The Utes also won the PAC-12 Championship with a decisive win over Oregon. Have to believe the Buckeyes might not have their heads in this game. If they had beaten Michigan they would have likely played in the National Championship final four. Instead, they play Utah in the Rose Bowl. This game means a lot more to this Utah team. They can beat a big time football powerhouse in this storied event. For Utah, this is their game to show they belong and their own National Championship. Throw out any numbers in this one, I'm looking for motivation and for me it all falls to Utah.

Fiesta Bowl from Glendale, AZ today has Oklahoma State taking on Notre Dame. The OK State Cowboys finished the regular season with a 11-2 S/U and 9-4 ATS record. They averaged 30.6 ppg while allowing 16.8 ppg. Notre Dame finished 11-1 S/U and 9-3 vs the spread. The Irish averaged 35.2 ppg while allowing 18.2 ppg. Notre Dame had an average offense overall, but was top 20 in FBS Scoring. Both teams have played well at times. Notre Dame's level of play has been more consistent while Ok State has had some big ups and a few downs. I don't expect a high scoring game here today, but should be fairly close. Notre Dame has been more consistent plus they have averaged better points on the Year. Play Notre Dame.

 The second half of the National Championship playoffs will be decided here tonight and we'll know who will play for the overall Championship. Georgia take on Michigan in what looks to be a great defensive battle. Georgia has the 2nd ranked overall defense in the country and Michigan has the 12th overall rated defense. Georgia allowed just 9.5 ppg this season while the Wolverines allowed 16.1 ppg. The Wolverines had the better spread record with a 11-2 mark compared to Georgia's 8-5 mark. I fully expect points to be at a premium here today and with that I take the dogs plus a TD or more. Play Michigan.

Cotton Bowl here today has Cincinnati taking on Alabama for the right to move on to the NCAA FB Championship game. Cincinnati a big dog here today of 13 to 14 points. The Bearcats finished the season with a perfect 13-0 record and 8-5 ATS spread mark. They had a terrific defense, allowing just 16.1 ppg this year while scoring an average of 39.2 ppg. They scored at least 35 points in each of their last four games. Meanwhile the Alabama Crimson Tide finished the season at 12-1 S/U and 7-6 ATS. Their lone blemish coming back on October 9th at Texas A&M, 38-41. This team not as good defensively as we've seen in the past as they allow just over 20 ppg this season. I really won't be shocked if the Bearcats pull off the straight-up win here today. Still, I'll take all the points in this one. Play Cincinnati

The Philadelphia 76ers are 18-16 S/U and 14-20 ATS on the season. They are dead even in scoring, 106-106 on average. On the road, they are doing well, 12-8 S/U and 10-10 ATS and again even in scoring 106-106. The Sixers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games. They are also 3-8 ATS in their last 11 total games. The Brooklyn Nets are 23-9 S/U and 14-17-1 ATS on the season. They are 10-6 S/U and 4-11-1 ATS at home. The Nets have covered five of their last seven overall games. They have also covered four of the last five against the 76ers. I'll take the Nets here at home on Thursday.

The St Joseph Hawks look to stay above the .500 mark tonight as they play at the Richmond Spiders. St Joe's is 6-5 S/U and 7-4 ATS on the season. They are coming off a loss at Bradley, 73-77, but just covered the 4.5-point dog spread. Richmond is 9-4 S/U and 7-6 ATS on the season. The Spiders are a perfect 6-0 S/U at home but just 3-3 vs the number. They are outscoring their visitors by a 77.5 to 64.3 average. Richmond is 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games vs a team with winning straight up record. I'll take the host in this one tonight. Play Richmond.

Peach Bowl from Atlanta Georgia has Pittsburgh taking on Michigan State. The Pitt Panthers come into today's contest with a 11-2 overall record and 10-3 ATS spread mark. The Panthers bring a five game win streak into the game and have covered four of their last five games. The Panthers will be without their starting QB in Kenny Pickett who is out with personal issues. QB Nick Patti looks to start here today with just 14 attempts on the season. This will be a big blow to the Panthers team that afveraged over 350 yards through the air this year. Michigan State finished 2nd in the Big 10 East with a 10-2 S/U and 9-3 ATS record. I'm going to take Michigan State here today as I don't see Pitt doing a lot with their backup QB at the helm. Play Michigan State

The New York Knicks looking to climb closer to the .500 mark as they sit at 16-18 on the season. The Knicks have won and covered two straight games, including their last game over Minnesota, 96-88 as a 5-point favorite. They get to face a Detroit squad today that has just five wins against 27 losses. The Pistons have lost three straight games and are 1-2 ATS during that span. They are coming off a blowout loss at San Antonio, 109-144. They have now been outscored on the season by a 100.7 to 110.5 margin. The Knicks playing back-to-back here tonight, but that hasn't been a problem as they have covered nine of the last 12 in that spot. They are also 4-1 ATS in their last five as a road favorite. The Knicks have covered the last six in this series and I look for them to make it seven in a row here tonight. Play NY Knicks

PinStripe Bowl today from Yankee Stadium has Maryland taking on Virginia Tech. Maryland finished the regular season with a 6-6 record and just became Bowl eligible. They are also 4-8 vs the number this season. The Terps had to win their last game to get this bowl and they did with a 40-16 win over Rutgers on the road. That snapped a 3-game losing skid. Virginia Tech also just became bowl eligible with a 6-6 record. They finished way down in the ACC standings, tie for 5th with four other teams. The Hokies were 4-8 ATS on the season and outscored opponents by a 24.89 to 22.9 margin. Tech is just 1-5 ATS in their last six non-conference games. They are also 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The favorite has covered four of the last five in this series and that's who I'm taking today. Play Maryland.

Texas Tech just did become Bowl eligible at 6-6 S/U and they were 6-5-1 vs the spread. The Red Raiders were outscored on the season 30-32.1 and finished 6th in the Big 12. The Raiders limped into the postseason, losing two straight games and f0our of their last five games. Their only win coming against Iowa State, 41-38. They were 2-3 S/U and 3-2 ATS on the road, outscored by a 28.8 to 36.5 ppg average. The Mississippi State Bulldogs are 7-5 S/U and ATS on the season. They outscored opponents by a 30.9 to 25.2 margin this year. The Dogs did lose their final game of the regular season to Ole Miss, 21-31 as a 2-point favorite. However, they did cover five of their last six overall. Miss State the better team here and has been playing better football down the stretch. Play Mississippi Sate.

First Responder Bowl action here on Tuesday has Louisville taking on Air Force from Dallas, Tx. The Louisville Cardinals finished the regular season just bowl eligible at 6-6 S/U and 5-7 ATS. They averaged 31.9 ppg while allowing 27 ppg. They are coming off a loss to Kentucky, 21-52 in their last game as a 3-point favorite. That snapped a two-game win streak for the Cardinals. The Air Force Falcons bring a 8-4 S/U and 5-7 ATS record into today's contest. They averaged 31 ppg and allowed 19.1 ppg on the season. Louisville looks to be the more balanced team, averaging 211 yards rushing and 218 passing per game. The Falcons are still predominately a run team with 341 yards per game and just 82 passing per game. Should be a lot of ground and pound in this game. While Air Force does have the rushing edge, I like the balanced offense of Louisville here today. Play Louisville.

 Quick Lane Bowl here today from Detoit, MI has Western Michigan takin on Nevada. Have to believe Nevada has no interest in playing in this game. Their three best players, including QB Carson Strong, have opted out to get ready for the NFL draft. Plus at least 15 players have entered the transfer portal to follow their coach Jay Norvell to his new job at Colorado State. That's all bad news for the Nevada team that will be very short handed. Add to that the Wolves make the long trip from West to East and W.Michigan playing in their own backyard and this looks to be a Western Michigan blowout today. Play Western Michigan.

 The LA Raiders kept their playoff chances alive with a win at the Cleveland Browns last week, 16-14. That snapped a two game losing streak for the Raiders. They also got some good news today as two of their inured secondary will return today. The other good news is they face a Denver team they have handled quite easily in recent times. They are 7-1 ATS vs the Broncos their last eight meetings and 5-0 ATS on their home turf vs the Broncos. The Broncos will be without QB Teddy Bridewater who was carted off the field with a concussion. That leaves the signal calling duties to Drew Lock. Denver also still have a wild card shot as they sit a 7-7. For me, without Bridgwater this Broncos team is not nearly as good. The Raiders have some confidence after last week and know they can and will handle these Broncos today. Play Las Vegas.

Diamond Head Classic here tonight from Honolulu, HI has BYU taking on Vanderbilt. BYU off to a fine start this season at 10-2 S/U and 7-4 vs the number. The Cougars have won and covered two straight games. They have covered four of their last five games. They will face a Vanderbilt Commodores team that is 7-4 S/U and 6-5 vs the number. They have won two straight games including yesterday over Hawaii, 68-54 as a 6.5-point favorite in the opening game of this tournament. BYU faced South Florida in game one of this tourney last night, winning easily 54-39 as a 14.5-point favorite. Battle of two Sunshine State teams here today in the Gasparilla Bowl as Central Florida takes on Florida. UCF Golden Knights finished 8-4 S/U and 4-8 ATS on the season. The Knights averaged 32.2 ppg and allowed 25.2 ppg. UCF has won two straight games and four of their last five games. The Florida Gators finished at 6-6 S/U and 3-9 ATS on the season. They average 31.8 ppg while allowing 26.6 ppg. The Gators limped into the Bowls, losing three of their last five games and failing to cover any of those contests. Gators will have big issues today with this UCF offense. I'll take the Knights in this one. Play Central Florida.

 Fresno State Bulldogs are 11-3 this season, though they are coming off a loss to Utah last game, 50-55 as a 3.5-point dog. That snapped a five game spread win streak for the Dogs. Now they hit the road for a game here tonight at Weber State. Fresno is 1-3 S/U and 1-2 ATS in their four true road games this season. They have also been outscored in those games by an average of 60.0 to 63.5 ppg. Weber State is 9-3 on the season and looks to snap a 2-game losing streak. They lost both in instate rivals, 80-95 to Utah State and then their last game to BYU, 71-89. I like Weber to bounce back tonight and get back on the winning path. Take Weber State

Frisco Bowl here in the early game of the day from Frisco, Tx has Miami Ohio taking on North Texas. Miami finished just bowl eligible at 6-6 overall and 5-7 vs the spread. The Hawks were a perfect 5-0 at home, but just 1-6 when playing on the road. They will play a North Texas team that also just got to the bowls with a 6-6 record and a 9-3 ats mark. Both these teams finished in the middle of their respective conferences. North Texas has the advantage of playing in their own State and for me that makes a difference against a poor road team like Miami. I'll take North Texas in this one.

The Bradley Braves look to stay above the .500 mark here tonight as they hit the road to play Texas-El Paso. The Braves are 6-6 S/U on the season with a 6-5 ATS mark. The Braves have won two straight and five of their last six games after starting the season 1-5 S/U. The Braves are coming off a win over Sam Houston, 87-61 as a 3.5-point favorite. UTEP has a 7-4 S/U record and has won three straight games. The Miners are just 1-4 ATS in their last five games. This is the Sun Bowl Invitational from El Paso, so UTEP has some home court here. Still, I like Bradley who has been playing very well of late.

Covid hitting the NBA hard this week. The Denver Nuggets look to be one of the least effected teams. They are 15-14 S/U with ah 13-16 ATS mark. The Nuggets are coming off a win at Atlanta, 133-115 and have won and covered three of their last four games. Oklahoma City is just 10-19 S/U on the year with a 18-11 ATS mark. They won two straight games and covered three straight. They are being outscored at home by a 101.4 to 107 margin. The Nuggets have owned this series, going 13-3 ATS in the last 16 games and 7-1 ATS in the last eight at Oklahoma City. I like Denver here today.

Armed forces bowl has Missouri taking on Army. Missouri just did get bowl eligible at 6-6 S/U on the season. They were just 3-9 ATS overall this year. They are coming off a loss at Arkansas, 17-34 as a 14.5-point dog. The Tigers were outscored overall on the season 29.7 ppg to 34.7 ppg. Now they face an Army team that averaged 302 yards per game on the ground this year. Why is that significant? Missouri has the 110th ranked defense and they allowed 229 yards per game on the ground. Looks to be a long day here for the Tigers who will be fed a steady streak of Army rushing. Play Army.

The Hofstra Pride hit the road today to take on Monmouth. The Pride are 7-5 S/U and 7-3 ATS on the season. They have won two straight games and six of their last seven games. That includes a win last time out at home over Arkansas, 89-81 as a 12.5-point dog. The Monmouth Hawks are having a fine season at 10-2 S/U and 12-0 ATS. Their perfect spread record is quite amazing since they have played teams like Cincinnati, St Johns and Pitt. The Hawks have won three straight games and 10 of their last 11 games. I look for Monmouth to keep that perfect spread record today. Play Monmouth.

Frisco Bowl is the late game today from Frisco, TX and has San Diego State taking on UTSA. Both these teams had excellent seasons. San Diego State Aztecs were 11-2 S/U and 6-6-1 ATS on the season. The Aztecs were once again a great defensive team, allowing just 19.5 ppg this season. They did come off a loss in the Mountain West Championship to Utah State, 13-46. The UTSA Roadrunners were 12-1 S/U and 9-4 ATS on the season. They average 37.8 ppg while allowing 23.6 ppg. UTSA beat Western Kentucky in the Conference USA Championship, 49-41 as a 3-point dog. Both teams are excellent defensive units, but I have to give the edge to the Aztecs here today. Play San Diego State.

The Potato Bowl here on Tuesday from Boise, ID has Wyoming taking on Kent State. Wyoming finished 6-6 and was just bowl eligible. The Cowboys averaged 23.2 ppg while allowing just 22.5 ppg. Wyoming's last game was a Nov 27th loss against Hawaii, 14-38. Kent State finished first in the MAC East standings with a 7-6 record and 6-7 ATS mark. The Golden Flashes lost to Northern Illinois in the MAC Championship, 23-41 as a 3.5-point favorite. This game isn't about numbers, it's more about which team will show up here today. Good news for Cowboys is that All American Linebacker Chad Muma decided to play and not opt out for the NFL draft. With Mum playing here today I look for that to give a boost to this Cowboys team today. Take Wyoming.

 Eastern Michigan Eagles are 5-5 and looking to stay above .500 mark as they take on Valparaiso here on Monday. The Eagles have a three game win streak and 2-0 spread streak as they play tonight. They are coming off a win over Fla International, 92-88 as a pick'em. The problem has been road games where they are 0-5 S/U and 2-3 ATS on the season. They are also getting outscored on the road by a 66.2 to 81.8 margin. Valparaiso Crusaders can get back to the .500 mark with a win tonight. Valpo is 5-6 S/U and 4-5 ATS on the season. They are coming off a loss to Charlotte, 67-68 as a 4.5-point favorite. The Crusaders are outscore visiting teams by a 81 to 67.6 score. I like the home team here tonight. Play Valparaiso.

This game was a victim of the Covid Protocols. Originally slated to be played on Saturday, December 18, they moved this game to tonight in hopes players could get off the Covid lists and play. Well, that didn't happen. The Browns have been hit hard and even with the two day delay, those players on protocol are ALL out. That includes Baker Mayfield and a slew of offensive and defensive starters. There are a few players that look like they will play, but were' talking a lot of backups here. That's why the line has gone from Browns as favorites to the Raiders at 2 or 3 favorites. As for the Raiders, who are 100% vaccinated, they have no players out with Covid. Throw out the numbers here today, play the healthier Raiders in this one.

Myrtle Beach Bowl here on Monday is the lone bowl action as Tulsa takes on Old Dominion. Both teams just did become bowl eligible with identical 6-6 records. Tulsa was 7-5 against the spread while ODU was 8-3-1. Tulsa averaged 26.1 ppg while allowing 27.4 ppg. The Golden Hurricane is coming off a three game win streak including last game at SMU, 34-31. ODU Monarchs averaged 28.5 ppg while allowing 27.6 ppg. The Monarchs bring a five game win and cover streak into today's contest. They are coming off a win over Charlotte, 56-34. This team can score and getting nearly 10 points is a lot to give a high scoring team. I'll take the dog here. Play Old Dominion

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a must win situation here on Sunday. They are in last in the AFC North with a 6-6-1 record. They sit a half game back of both the Bengals and Browns and 1 1/2 games back of division leading Baltimore. Meanwhile the Tennessee Titans can extend their lead in the AFC South to two games over the Colts with a win here today. Neither defense is up to previous standards, with the Titans ranking 14th and the Steelers at 26th. Tennessee has dropped to 17th in offense since then leading rusher Derek Henry went down with an injury. The Steelers come in at 21st overall and 30th in rushing. The Titans are coming off a win at home over Jacksonville, 20-0. That snapped a two game losing streak for the Titans. The Steelers overcame a horrid first half last week at Minnesota and almost pulled off the huge comeback, but fell short at the end of the game in a 28-36 loss. This game really more important to the Steelers and I will be on that side here today. Play Pittsburgh.

The NY Jets have lost two straight games as they head South to take on the Miami Dolphins today. The jets are coming off a pair of lopsided losses, both at home. They lost to Philly two weeks ago, 18-33 and then last week to the Saints, 9-30. The offense garnered only 256 yards vs the Saints and 281 against the Eagles. Won't get much easier against a much improved Dolphins team today. The Dolphins have won and covered five straight games. They are coming off a win over the Giants, 20-9. Their defense has really stepped it up, holding each of the last five opponents to 17 or fewer points. Four of those games were 10 or fewer points. I'll take the Dolphins here today as the Jets likely won't hit double digits on the score board. Play Miami.

New Orleans bowl action here today has local favorite UL Lafayette playing in their back yard against Marshall on Saturday. Marshall finished the season with a 7-5 S/U and 6-6 spread record on the season. Marshall had a very good offense, averaging 34 ppg and 471 yards per game this season. They held opponents to just 22.7 ppg and 388.3 ypg average. The Thundering Herd are coming off a loss to Western Kentucky, 21-53 as a 1.5-point dog. UL Lafayette was 12-1 S/U and 6-7 ATS on the season. The Ragin' Cajuns averaged 30.7 ppg while allowing 18.3 ppg. The Cajuns are just 2-5 their last seven games as a favorite and 0-4 ATS in their last four bowl games. Conversely, Marshall is 7-2 ATS in their last nine bowl games. I like Marshall here on Saturday.

 Utah State Aggies are 8-3 S/U and 7-3 ATS on their young season. The Aggies have won two straight after a 2-game losing streak. They are coming off a win over Weber State, 95-80 as a 2-point favorite. Iowa Hawkeyes are 7-3 S/U and 6-4 ATS on the season. Iowa looks to snap a three-game losing streak today after starting 7-0. They are coming off a loss at Iowa State, 53-73 as a 5-point favorite. Iowa still 6-1 S/U and 4-3 ATS at home where they are outscoring opponents by a 95.1 to 68.6 margin. I like the host in this one. Play Iowa.

The New England Patriots have opened up a 2-game lead in the AFC East over the Buffalo Bills. The Patriots are not only 6-0 away from home this year but are on a 7-game win streak. They head to Indianapolis tonight to face the Colts. The Colts trail the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South by two games. After that, the Wild Card at this point is surely Wild and up for a number a teams to take. The Colts have the leagues 11th ranked overall offense and 2nd ranked rushing attack. New England has the leagues 16th ranked offense. The Colts have the 12th ranked defense and the Patriots have the 3rd ranked defense. This should be a excellent game here tonight. The Colts are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 home games. I'll take the hot team with the great road record. Play New England.    

 Orlando continue to struggle as they now sit 5-25 on the season after losing their 7th straight game and five of the last six against the number. Doesn't get any better on the road where the Nets are 3-15 S/U and 9-9 ATS. To make matters worse for the Magic, tonight's game is the 2nd of a back-to-back spot after they lost last night at home to Miami, 105-115 as a 8.5-point dog. The Brooklyn Nets having another fine season despite injuries and Covid issues. The Nets are 21-8 S/U and 12-16-1 ATS on the season. They are coming off a win on Thursday at home over Philly, 114-105 as a 1.5-point dog. Why were they a home dog and such a short favorite tonight? In one word, Covid. The Nets are without Kevin Durant and James Harden tonight, both out with Covid. They also will be without many back up players, six to be exact also on Covid protocols. The Nets are down to seven players. Still, I don't think they need much help against this Magic team that is also battling Covid issues. Play Brooklyn.

New Mexico Bowl has Texas-El Paso taking on Fresno State. The UTEP Miners bring a 7-5 S/U and ATS record into this bowl game, the first of the season. El Paso has played decent defense, holding opponents to just 338.9 ypg while averaging 391.5 ppg. The Miners lost their last game against UAB, 25-42 as a 13.5-point dog. The Fresno State Bulldogs are 8-4 S/U and 5-7 ATS on the season. The Dogs finished second in the Mountain West to San Diego State. Fresno has won two straight games, including their last at San Jose State, 40-9 as a 7-point road dog. Fresno has covered just two of their last eight bowl games and for me I'll take the points here today with the Miners. Play UTEP.

Covid taking its toll on the NBA and the Lakers are one team that will miss a star player because of it. Russell Westbrook will be out tonight because of Covid protocols. The Lakers may sign former All-Star Isaiah Thomas to replace Westbrook if the NBA allows it. The NBA has 39 plays in Covid protocols and it's taking it's toll on the league. The Lakers have won three straight games both S/U and ATS including last game at Dallas, 107-104 in OT. They have gone under in four straight games and 1-5-1 O/U their last seven games. The Wolves are 13-15 S/U and ATS on the season. They look to extend their two-game win streak here tonight after beating the Nuggets last game, 124-107. Those two wins snapped a five game losing streak. Even without Westrbook tonight, I look for the Lakers to win this one. Play LA
