Pirates southpaw Jose Quintana has a record of 0-1 with an ERA of 7.88 in two career starts against the Nationals. MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The Rangers had played four straight unders prior to a 6-4 loss to Washington on Sunday. They've scored more than four runs in only one of their last six games. Royals left-hander Kris Bubic (1-4, 7.41 ERA) held the Angels to two runs and fanned six over six innings in his last start, one of his best outings of the season. Texas hands the ball to left-hander Martin Perez (5-2, 1.96 ERA) who is having a fantastic year, and the under is 10-4 in his 14 starts. 06-27-22 | Twins -125 v. Guardians | Top | 11-1 | Win | 100 | 14 h 51 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB MONEYLINE PLAY OF THE DAY The Twins won two of three when they hosted Cleveland last week. The contest the Guardians won featured the same pitching matchup as tonight (Gray vs McKenzie), but I think Minnesota takes this one. Minnesota right-hander Sonny Gray (3-1, 2.53 ERA) is having a strong year. Gray gave up four runs (three earned) over four innings against Cleveland last week, but he owns an ERA of 2.40 over his last three starts. The Twins have won six of his last seven starts. Cleveland righty Triston McKenzie (4-5, 3.51 ERA) gave up six runx on nine hits over 4 1/3 innings against Minnesota last week. McKenzie is 1-4 with an ERA of 6.39 in 6 career starts versus the Twins. 10* PLAY ON MINNESOTA TWINS.
06-26-22 | Orioles v. White Sox -1.5 | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 57 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB RUNLINE PLAY OF THE DAY The Orioles have the momentum coming into the game riding a four-game winning streak, but the motivational advantage goes to the White Sox as they look to deny Baltimore the four-game sweep. The White Sox bats have been cold through the first three games of the set, but here they get a look at Baltimore righty Jordan Lyles who is 3-4 with an ERA of 6.70 on the road this season and he has posted a 6.48 ERA over his last three starts. Chicago right-hander Dylan Cease has not allowed one single earned run and given up only 17 hits over his last five starts, spanning 27+ innings! Cease has an ERA of 2.45 and 16 strikeouts in 11 innings against the Orioles in his career. 10* PLAY ON CHICAGO WHITE SOX -1.5.
06-25-22 | Reds v. Giants -1.5 | Top | 2-9 | Win | 100 | 15 h 7 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB RUNLINE RIPPER The Reds had lost seven on the bounce prior to a 4-2 win in the opener of this series on Friday. The Reds are 6-23 in their last 29 during game 2 of a series and they'll find it hard to get a win here with Mike Minor (1-3, 6.97 ERA) on the mound. The Giants are 3-1 as favorites of -199 or more off a loss as a favorite. San Fran counters Minor with left-hander Logan Webb (6-2, 3.26 ERA) who is having a great year. The Reds are averaging 1.99 runs per nine innings on the road against left-handers. Webb has posted an ERA of 1.37 over his last three starts and he is 4-1 with a 2.74 ERA over seven home starts. The Giants won six of those games. They are 3-1 straight up and against the runline as favorites of at least -199 with Webb on the mound in 2022. 10* PLAY ON SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS -1.5.
06-24-22 | Red Sox -113 v. Guardians | Top | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 15 h 1 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE MONTH - MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MONEYLINE The Red Sox are riding a four-game winning streak through which they have scored 6, 5, 5, and 6 runs. They are 10-2 in their last 12 after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game. Red Sox right-hander Nick Pivetta (7-5, 3.31 ERA) pitched seven dominant innings with 10 strikeouts and allowed only one earned run against the Cards in his last start. He has allowed one earned run or fewer in seven of his last 10 starts. The Red Sox have won seven of his last eight starts. Guardians righty Cal Quantrill (4-4, 3.77 ERA) has conceded three runs in two of his last three starts. Quantrill is 0-1 with an ERA of 4.15 and four home runs allowed over 13 innings in two appearances against the Red Sox in his career. 10* PLAY ON BOSTON RED SOX.

MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* ASTROS/YANKEES MLB PLAY OF THE DAY The Houston Astros are coming into this game riding a three-game winning streak, but they are 2-6 in their last 8 games as an underdog. The New York Yankees are 29-7 as home favorites this season, and Houston left-hander Framber Valdez is 0-1 with an ERA of 8.59 over two starts spanning 7 1/3 innings in previous meetings with the Yankees. NYY righty Jameson Taillon (7-1, 2.93 ERA) is 4-1 with a 2.70 ERA in seven home starts. this season. 06-22-22 | Royals v. Angels -1.5 | Top | 0-5 | Win | 100 | 16 h 52 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED MLB BOOKIE BREAKER The Los Angeles Angels had won three on the bounce before dropping the first two games of this series. Now they'll try and deny the Royals to sweep the series. Angels right-hander Shohei Ohtani (5-4, 3.28 ERA) has allowed only two runs over 13 innings in his last two starts. Padres left-hander Daniel Lynch has a 1-3 record with an ERA of 7.65 over his last four starts. 10* PLAY LOS ANGELES ANGELS -1.5.
06-21-22 | Phillies v. Rangers UNDER 8 | Top | 0-7 | Win | 100 | 9 h 4 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The over/under is 4-9 in Texas left-hander Martin Perez's starts this year. Perez (4-2, 2.10 ERA) has an ERA of 3.65 and 34 strikeouts in seven appearances (six starts) versus the Phillies in his career. The over/under is 5-8 in Philadelphia right-hander Kyle Gibson's starts this year. Gibson has an ERA of 3.08 and 31 strikeouts in seven starts against the Rangers in his career. The Rangers are averaging only 3.88 runs per nine innings against right-handers. 10* PLAY ON UNDER.
06-20-22 | Yankees -124 v. Rays | Top | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 18 h 50 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB PLAY OF THE DAY The New York Yankees are 6-2 in the last 8 meetings with the Rays. They are 10-3 in right-hander Gerrit Cole's 13 starts this year, and Cole (6-1, 3.33 ERA) has limited the Rays to one run on seven hits over 12 innings this year. Rays right-hander Shane McClanahan is 1-3 with an ERA of 3.70 in five starts against the Yankees in his career. He has made two starts against them this year, allowing five runs (two earned) on 10 hits over 12 innings. The Yankees had won nine in a row prior to a 10-9 loss at Toronto on Sunday. The Rays have lost seven of their last nine games. 10* PLAY ON NEW YORK YANKEES.
06-19-22 | Rays v. Orioles UNDER 8.5 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 49 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The Tampa Bay Rays are coming off a 7-6 win, but they had scored a total of only four runs with two shutout losses in their previous four games. The under is 5-1 in Rays last 6 road games with the total set at 7.0-8.5, and Baltimore right-hander Jordan Lyles (4-5, 5.10 ERA), while struggling on the road, has posted a 2.93 ERA in five home starts this year. Tampa Bay right-hander Corey Kluber (3-3, 3.50 ERA) has an ERA of 1.96 in his last four starts and he is s 5-1 with an ERA of 3.07 and 79 strikeouts over 73 1/3 innings in 12 starts versus the Orioles in his career. 10* PLAY ON UNDER.
06-18-22 | Guardians v. Dodgers -1.5 | Top | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 12 h 33 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB RUNLINE PLAY OF THE DAY The Los Angeles Dodgers are going through a mini-slump with only two runs over their last six games. The Cleveland Guardians are hot with eight wins over their last nine games. I still like the Dodgers to come through as a favorite in this one. Dodgers left-hander Julio Urias (3-6, 2.80 ERA) has not seen the results go his way this season despite strong outings. Urias fanned 10 while giving up two runs on three hits over six frames at San Francisco in his last start. Cleveland right-hander Cal Quantrill (4-3, 3.38 ERA) has a 1-2 record with an ERA of 7.30 in three appearances (two starts) against the Dodgers in his career. 10* PLAY ON LOS ANGELES DODGERS -1.5.
06-17-22 | Twins -124 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 2-7 | Loss | -124 | 17 h 55 m | Show |
MIKE'S LATE NIGHT TGIF MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE TOP PLAY The Minnesota Twins are 17-14 on the road this season. Left-hander Devin Smeltzer (3-0, 2.38 ERA) has been one of the better pitchers in the majors this year, and he is 2-0 with a 2.81 ERA on the road. Arizona left-hander Madison Bumgarner (2-6, 3.50 ERA) is 0-3 with a 3.94 ERA over his last three starts and the Twins are 7-2 in their last 9 road games vs. a left-handed starter. 10* PLAY ON MINNESOTA TWINS.
06-16-22 | Brewers v. Mets OVER 7.5 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 31 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE WEEK - MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* TOTAL Mets right-hander Tylor Megill (4-2, 4.50 ERA) is 0-2 with an 11.70 ERA over his last three starts and he owns a 5.00 ERA in two career starts against the Brewers. Milwaukee left-hander Aaron Ashby (1-5, 3.91 ERA) has allowed 10 runs on 19 hits over 10 2/3 innings in his last two starts. Over is 9-3 in Brewers last 12 during game 3 of a series. Over is 14-6-1 in Mets last 21 overall. They were held to two runs in a 10-2 loss yesterday, but over is 5-1 in Mets last 6 after scoring 2 runs or less in their previous game. 10* PLAY ON OVER.
06-15-22 | Angels v. Dodgers -1.5 | Top | 1-4 | Win | 106 | 15 h 54 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE MONTH - MIKE'S 10* RUNLINE MAJOR WAGER The Los Angeles Dodgers not only won but also covered the runline despite scoring only two runs yesterday, which highlights the kind of mess the Angels are right now. I expect the Dodgers to put up more runs and win big today, facing Angels left-hander Reid Detmers (2-2, 3.83 ERA) who has pitched well at home, but Detmers has a 6.19 ERA over 16 innings on the road. The Angels have lost each of his last four starts. Left-hander Tyler Anderson (7-0, 3.07 ERA) will take the ball for the Dodgers. They've won each of his last five starts, all by at least two runs. For the year, the Dodgers are 5-0 straight up and against the runline as favorites of at least -150 with Anderson on the mound. 10* PLAY ON LOS ANGELES DODGERS -1.5.
06-14-22 | Pirates v. Cardinals -1.5 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 120 | 7 h 49 m | Show |
MIKE'S SUPER EARLY PIRATES/CARDS MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY Pirates starter JT Brubaker (0-6, 4.60 ERA) is 0-5 with a 6.75 ERA in six career games (five starts) against St. Louis. Cardinals rookie left-hander Matthew Liberatore (1-1, 5.54 ERA) last pitched on June 2 and has been recalled from Triple-A Memphis to make his fourth big league start. He held Milwaukee to two hits with six Ks over five scoreless innings in his lone home start to date. Pittsburgh is coming into this game on a seven-game losing streak and it is one of the lowest-scoring teams in baseball averaging only 3.56 runs per game, which drops to 3.39 runs per game on the road. The Cards are winners of three of their last four, and they've scored 18 runs over their last three games. 10* PLAY ON ST. LOUIS CARDINALS -1.5.
06-13-22 | White Sox v. Tigers UNDER 8.5 | Top | 9-5 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 17 m | Show |
MIKE'S WHITE SOX/TIGERS MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY White Sox right-hander Lance Lynn will make his first start of the season, but he was 11-6 with a 2.69 ERA in 2021 and he owns an ERA of 3.21 and in nine career starts against the Tigers. Detroit's bats have been ice cold lately as the Tigers have averaged only 2.4 runs per game over their last 10 games. The Tigers hand the ball to right-hander Rony Garcia (0-1, 4.50 ERA) who gave up six runs in five innings in a loss to Minnesota in his last start. I think Garcia can bounce back with a strong outing here though, facing a White Sox team that has more success against southpaws than right-handers. Under is 11-3-1 in White Sox last 15 road games vs. a right-handed starter and 9-3-1 in White Sox last 13 when their opponent scored 2 runs or less in their previous game (Detroit was shut out by Toronto yesterday). 10* PLAY ON UNDER.
06-12-22 | Pirates v. Braves -1.5 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 15 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB RUNLINE PLAY OF THE DAY The Pittsburgh Pirates are losers of five straight games and they've been outscored 17-7 through the first three games of this series. Braves right-hander Kyle Wright (6-3, 2.39 ERA) has allowed only two runs over 14 innings in his last two starts. Pittsburgh left-hander Jose Quintana (1-3, 3.19 ERA) was tagged with four runs in 3 1/3 innings in a loss to Detroit in his last start. Quintana has an 8.68 ERA in four career starts against Atlanta. 10* PLAY ON ATLANTA BRAVES -1.5.
06-11-22 | Pirates v. Braves -1.5 | Top | 4-10 | Win | 100 | 12 h 32 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB RUNLINE PLAY OF THE DAY The Atlanta Braves are coming into this contest as winners of nine straight games. They covered the runline in seven of those wins and they have opened this series with a 3-1 win on Thursday and a 4-2 win on Friday. The Pirates are on a four-game side during which they have mustered only seven runs. Braves righty Charlie Morton (4-3, 5.63 ERA) is not having a great year, but he is 2-0 with a 3.91 ERA at home. Pittsburgh right-hander Zach Thompson (3-4, 4.60 ERA) is 1-2 with a 6.11 ERA on the road. 10* PLAY ON ATLANTA BRAVES.
06-10-22 | Rockies v. Padres -1.5 | Top | 0-9 | Win | 100 | 17 h 20 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB RUNLINE PLAY OF THE DAY The Colorado Rockies are coming off an upset win at San Francisco. I don't like their chances of pulling an upset here against a San Diego team that has won five of its last six games and scored a total of 42 runs (7 runs per game) during that stretch. The Padres are 9-1 in right-hander Joe Musgrove's 10 starts this year, and Musgrove (6-0, 1.64 ERA) has a 1.44 ERA in five career starts agianst the Rockies. Colorado righty Chad Kuhl (4-2, 3.17 ERA) has an ERA of 5.12 in four career starts against the Padres. 10* PLAY ON SAN DIEGO PADRES -1.5.
06-09-22 | Rockies v. Giants -1.5 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -125 | 7 h 21 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE WEEK - MIKE'S 10* RUNLINE MAJOR WAGER The Rockies have lost five of their last six after taking a 2-1 loss in 10 innings on Wednesday. The Giants bats have gone quiet, but this looks like a good spot for them to heat up again, coming up against Colorado left-hander Austin Gomber (2-6, 6.54 ERA) who has allowed 17 runs over 6 1/3 frames in his last two starts. The Rockies have lost each of Gomber's last five starts, all but one by two runs or more. 10* PLAY ON SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS -1.5.
06-08-22 | A's v. Braves -1.5 | Top | 2-13 | Win | 100 | 14 h 52 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB RUNLINE PLAY OF THE DAY Braves right-hander Ian Anderson (4-3, 4.70 ERA) has been roughed up in recent starts, but this looks like a perfect "get right" spot for him. The A's are losers of seven straight. They've scored a total of only 12 runs during that stretch. Oakland hands the ball to rookie left-hander Jared Koenig for his first MLB appareance. He could have asked for an easier opponent in his debut than a Braves team off six straight wins, and they've averaged 6.5 runs per game during that run. 10* PLAY ON ATLANTA BRAVES -1.5.
06-07-22 | Rockies v. Giants -1.5 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 39 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB RUNLINE PLAY OF THE DAY Colorado right-hander German Marquez (1-5, 6.71 ERA) has allowed 15 runs over 17 innings in his last three starts. The over is 7-2 in his last nine starts and the team has lost six of his last eight getting outscored by at least two runs in six of those eight games. Since the start of the 2020 season, Marquez has a record of 2-4 with an ERA of 8.13 in 6 appearances against the Giants Giants left-hander Carlos Rodon (4-4, 3.44 ERA) is 0-2 over his last three starts, despite allowing only six runs over 16 1/3 innings on the hill. He held Colorado to two runs over six innings of an 8-5 home win against the Rockies here at Oracle Park last month. The Giants are 5-1 SU and 4-2 against the runline in their previous six games against the Rockies this year. Five of those six games went over the total. 10* PLAY ON SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS -1.5.
06-06-22 | Blue Jays v. Royals OVER 9.5 | Top | 8-0 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 46 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY KC left-hander Daniel Lynch (2-4, 4.81 ERA) was smacked around by Cleveland in his last start, giving up six runs on nine hits with three walks over four innings. Lynch has allowed 12 runs in 13 innings through his last three starts. Toronto's bats are red hot coming into this game having scored six runs or more in eight of their last 10 games. Toronto right-hander Ross Stripling (1-1, 4.22 ERA) has worked out of the bullpen in his last six outings. He's not likely to last long here when filling in for the injured Hyun Jin Ryu, and Toronto's bullpen has an ERA of 4.02 on the season. Over is 6-0 in Blue Jays last 6 games as a favorite. Over is 11-4 in Royals last 15 games as an underdog. 10* PLAY ON OVER.
06-04-22 | Twins v. Blue Jays -1.5 | Top | 3-12 | Win | 125 | 7 h 12 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB RUNLINE TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Minnesota Twins had scored only two runs through a three-game stretch before putting up nine in a win here at Toronto on Friday. The Blue Jays came into that game riding an eight-game winning streak and they had scored six runs or more in five straight games. I like the Blue Jays to bounce back with a big win tonight. The Blue Jays are perfect 4-0 in righty Jose Berrios (3-2, 5.62 ERA) home starts this year. Minnesota right-hander Dylan Bundy is 1-2 with a 7.50 ERA in five starts on the road this year, and the team record is 1-4 in those games. Minnesota has lost each his last five starts. 10* PLAY ON TORONTO BLUE JAYS -1.5.
06-03-22 | Astros v. Royals UNDER 8.5 | Top | 10-3 | Loss | -100 | 16 h 57 m | Show |
MIKE'S 10* ASTROS/ROYALS MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Houston Astros ae 38-13 to the under on the season. The under is 9-1 in Astros last 10 games following an off day and 23-5 in Astros last 28 games with the total set at 7.0-8.5. Under is 7-1 in Royals last 8 games following an off day. Astros right-hander Jose Urquidy (4-2, 4.80 ERA) is coming off his worst outing of the year, but he has allowed one or no runs in three of his last five starts. Royals right-hander Brady Singer (2-0, 2.49 ERA) has allowed only three runs over 19 2/3 innings in his three starts this year. 10* PLAY ON UNDER.
06-02-22 | White Sox v. Blue Jays -1.5 | Top | 3-8 | Win | 110 | 9 h 54 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB PLAY OF THE DAY Toronto is riding a seven-game winning streak, and right-hander Alek Manoah (5.1, 1.77 ERA) who is having a fantastic year is 3-0 with a 1.33 ERA in four home starts. The White Sox have lost four of their last five and right-hander Johnny Cueto (0-1, 2.41 ERA) who has only three starts on the season gave up five runs on nine hits in 6 2/3 innings of a 5-1 loss to the Cubs in his last start. 10* PLAY ON TORONTO BLUE JAYS -1.5.
06-01-22 | Pirates v. Dodgers -1.5 | Top | 8-4 | Loss | -120 | 12 h 53 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB PLAY OF THE DAY This looks like a great spot to back the LA Dodgers to lay down the hammer in the finale of this three-game set. The Pirates have won the first two games of the set as huge underdogs which can't sit right with the Dodgers. The Dodgers took a 5-3 loss on Tuesday- They are 11-4 straight up and 10-5 against the runline off a game where they scored three or fewer runs. 10* PLAY ON LOS ANGELES DODGERS -1.5.
05-31-22 | Astros v. A's UNDER 7 | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 15 h 14 m | Show |

They are 18-3 to the under in their last 21 after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game and 22-4 to the under in their last 26 games with the total set at 7.0-8.5. Oakland right-hander Frankie Montas (2-4, 3.28 ERA) has posted a 3.02 ERA over 44 2/3 innings of work at RingCentral Coliseum in 2022. The A's are 6-1 to the under in Montas' seven home starts. Astros' Cristian Javier (3-2, 2.43 ERA) has made nine appearances, five starts this year. The under is 4-1 in his starts. 10* PLAY ON UNDER.
05-30-22 | Nationals v. Mets -1.5 | Top | 5-13 | Win | 115 | 13 h 56 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The New York Mets are coming into the week off a three-game sweep of the Phillies. They've won each of left-hander David Peterson's (2-0, 2.16 ERA) last three starts. The Washington Nationals have won four of their last five games, but they are 1-6 in their last 7 during game 1 of a series and 0-4 in their last 4 road games vs. a left-handed starter. The Mets are 14-3 in their last 17 during game 1 of a series. The Mets are 4-1 straight up and against the runline as home favorites of at least -180. 10* PLAY ON NEW YORK METS.

MIKE'S SUNDAY NIGHT PHILLIES/METS 10* TOP PLAY The Phillies are only 10-12 on the road this season. Right-hander Zack Wheeler (3-3, 3.38 ERA) has been lights out at home, but he has an ERA of 7.20 over 15 innings on the road. Mets right-hander Chris Bassitt (4-2, 3.91 ERA) was slapped around at San Francisco in his last start, but I expect him to bounce back with a strong outing against a Philadelphia team that has lost seven of its last nine games. The Mets have won seven of their last 10 and they're going for the sweep of this three-game series. 10* PLAY ON NEW YORK METS.

MIKE'S BLUE JAYS/ANGELS MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY Angels right-hander Michael Lorenzen (5-2, 3.05 ERA) has allowed a total of only one run over 13 innings over his last two starts. Toronto left-hander Yusei Kikuchi (2-1, 3.47 ERA) has allowed more than two runs in only one of his eight starts this year. Over his last four starts, Kikuchi has conceded just five runs over 22 2/3 frames. Under is 15-7-3 in Angels last 25 games as a home favorite. Under is 8-3-1 in Blue Jays last 12 games with the total set at 7.0-8.5. 10* PLAY ON UNDER.
05-28-22 | Phillies v. Mets -119 | Top | 2-8 | Win | 100 | 16 h 17 m | Show |
MIKE'S PHILLIES/METS MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The New York Mets opened this series with an 8-6 win Friday night. Right-hander Taijuan Walker (2-0, 2.70 ERA) held Colorado scoreless through seven innings at Coors Field in his last start. Walker has a 2.70 ERA at home this season. Phillies right-hander Zack Wheeler (3-3, 3.38 ERA) is coming off an equally strong outing at home against San Diego, but Wheeler has an ERA of 7.20 on the road this season. 10* PLAY ON NEW YORK METS.
05-26-22 | Royals v. Twins -1.5 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 58 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB RUNLINE RIPPER This looks like a great spot to back the Minnesota Twins whose bats should be ready to go off following a couple of disappointing two-run outings. The Royals have dropped six in a row and eight of their last 10 games. Minnesota outscored them 22-12 through a three-game sweep in KC May 20-22. Tonight's KC starter Daniel Lynch (2-3, 4.01 ERA) was tagged with four runs in 3 2/3 of a 6-4 loss in that series. Minnesota southpaw Devin Smeltzer (1-0, 1.74 ERA) held the Royals to one run in 5 1/3 innings in that same game. 10* PLAY ON MINNESOTA TWINS -1.5.
05-25-22 | Tigers v. Twins -1.5 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 5 m | Show |
MIKE'S SUPER EARLY MLB RUNLINE RIPPER TOP PLAY The Detroit Tigers got shut out in the opener of this series yesterday. They have scored fewer than two runs in four of their last six games. Minnesota right-hander Dylan Bundy (3-2, 5.14 ERA) has 10 scoreless innings at Target Field this season. The Twins are riding a six-game winning streak through which they have averaged 7.2 runs per game. 10* PLAY ON MINNESOTA TWINS -1.5.
05-24-22 | Guardians v. Astros -1.5 | Top | 3-7 | Win | 100 | 12 h 58 m | Show |
MIKE'S MLB GAME OF THE WEEK - RUNLINE MAJOR WAGER This looks like a great spot to back the Houston Astros to bounce back from a 6-1 loss to Cleveland on Monday, The Astros are perfect 4-0 straight up and 3-1 against the runline in revenge games in a series this season. Houston left-hander Framber Valdez (3-2, 2.68 ERA) is 2-0 with a 2.00 ERA through two career appearances (one start) against Cleveland. Guardians righty Zach Plesac (1-3, 4.42 ERA) gave up four runs over five innings in his lone career start against Houston. Plesac is 0-2 with a 6.86 ERA through his last four starts overall. 10* PLAY ON HOUSTON ASTROS -1.5.
05-23-22 | Blue Jays v. Cardinals UNDER 8 | Top | 3-7 | Loss | -115 | 12 h 39 m | Show |
MIKE'S BLUE JAYS/CARDINALS MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Toronto Blue jays are 26-14-1 to the under this season. Right-hander Jose Berrios (3-2, 4.83 ERA) has had a bit of a slow start to the year, but he held Seattle scoreless over seven innings of a 3-0 win in his last start and he has an ERA of 2.92 in two career starts against St. Louis. Cardinals right-hander Miles Mikolas (3-2, 1.68 ERA) is having a great year and has yet to allow more than two runs in a start. 10* PLAY ON UNDER.
05-22-22 | Dodgers -129 v. Phillies | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -129 | 7 h 7 m | Show |
MIKE'S EARLY MLB MONEYLINE MONEYMAKER TOP PLAY The Philadelphia Phillies are coming into this game as losers of three in a row and five of their last six. The Los Angeles Dodgers are riding a seven-game winning streak. They are 5-2 in Tony Gonsolin's (4-0, 1.64 ERA) seven starts this year. The Phillies are 2-4 in Zach Eflin's (1-3, 3.90 ERA) six starts in 2022. Eflin is 0-3 with an 8.78 ERA in six career starts against the Dodgers. 10* PLAY ON LOS ANGELES DODGERS.
05-21-22 | Mets v. Rockies OVER 10 | Top | 5-1 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 23 m | Show |
MIKE'S METS/ROCKIES MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The over is 10-2 in Rockies last 12 home games with the total set at 9.0-10.5. Mets right-hander Carlos Carrasco (3-1, 3.73 ERA) has posted a 6.19 ERA over three road starts this year. Colorado right-hander German Marquez (1-3, 6.16 ERA) has allowed 13 runs over his last three starts and he has a 6.04 ERA home at Coors Field on the season. His last four home starts all went over the total.
| |||||||
05-19-22 | Padres v. Phillies -113 | Top | 2-0 | Loss | -113 | 5 h 19 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* PADRES/PHILLIES MLB MONEYLINE MONEYMAKER Phillies right-hander Kyle Gibson (3-1, 4.10 ERA) was smacked around by the Dodgers in his last start, allowing eight hits and six runs in 3 2/3 innings. I expect Gibson to bounce back with a strong outing, and he is 2-0 with a 2.84 ERA in three career starts against the Padres. San Diego right-hander Yu Darvish (3-1, 4.62 ERA) gave up five runs on nine hits over 5 2/3 innings at Atlanta in his last start. Darvish has a strong 2.30 ERA in five career starts against the Phillies, but he has posted a hideous 7.91 ERA over 19 1/3 innings on the road this year. Gibson is 3-0 with a 1.93 ERA over 18 2/3 innings at home. 10* PLAY ON PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES.
05-17-22 | Angels -120 v. Rangers | Top | 5-10 | Loss | -120 | 14 h 28 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Texas Rangers won the opener of this series 7-4 on Monday. They are still only 8-12 at home for the season while the Angels are 12-7 on the road. Texas' left-hander Taylor Hearn (2-2, 5.26 ERA) held Kansas City scoreless over five frames in his last outing, but here they'll face an Angels team that is 7-2 in its last nine games against left-handed starters. Angels' 22-year-old left-hander Reid Detmers (2-1, 3.77 ERA) will be bringing with confidence following an epic no-hitter against the Rays last week. Rangers are 1-4 in their last 5 games following a win. Angels are 4-0 in their last 4 games following a loss. Angels are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Texas. 10* PLAY ON LOS ANGELES ANGELS.
05-16-22 | Pirates v. Cubs UNDER 8.5 | Top | 0-9 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 31 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Reds 1-0 on Sunday, despite recording a single hit. They have scored a total of only six runs over their last four games and been held to three runs or fewer in seven of their last 10 games. The Chicago Cubs have been held to three runs or fewer in six of their last 10 games. Pittsburgh right-hander Dillon Peters (3-1, 1.83 ERA) held the Dodgers scoreless through three innings in his last start. Cubs left-hander Wade Miley's 9.00 ERA for the season looks bad, but it's over a one-game and three-inning sample. Miley owns a 3.64 ERA in 13 career starts against the Pirates. 10* PLAY ON UNDER.
05-15-22 | Brewers v. Marlins OVER 7 | Top | 7-3 | Win | 100 | 3 h 40 m | Show |
MIKE'S EARLY MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Miami Marlins have scored 21 runs through their last three games. Milwaukee right-hander Brandon Woodruff (3-2, 5.97 ERA) was roughed up for six runs (five earned) in 4 1/3 innings of a 10-5 loss at Cincinnati in his last start. Each of Woodruff's last three starts has ended with the game going over the total. Miami right-hander Elieser Hernandez (2-2, 6.37 ERA) has allowed 16 runs over his last four starts. Four of his last five starts have gone over the total. The Brewers are averaging a healthy 5.42 R/9 off right-handers. This looks like way too low of a total considering the matchup on the mound. 10* PLAY ON OVER.
05-13-22 | Mariners v. Mets -1.5 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 3 m | Show |
MIKE'S MLB GAME OF THE MONTH - TOP-RATED 10* RUNLINE The New York Mets are 7-1 straight up and 6-2 against the runline as favorites in series openers this season. I expect a strong outing from Mets righty Max Scherzer (4-1, 2.92 ERA) after seeing his unbeaten streak of 24 games coming to an end last Sunday. Seattle has lost five of left-hander Marco Gonzales' (1-4, 3.91 ERA) six starts this season, all but one by two or more runs. Gonzales has allowed five runs on 14 hits and six walks while serving up four homers over 11 1/3 innings over his last two starts. 10* PLAY ON NEW YORK METS -1.5.
05-11-22 | Rays v. Angels -117 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -117 | 12 h 23 m | Show |
MIKE'S RAYS/ANGELS MLB MONEYLINE MONEYMAKER TOP PLAY The Los Angeles Angels have outscored Tampa Bay 23-3 through the first two games of this series. Rays' left-hander Shane McClanahan (2-2, 3.06 ERA) has allowed five runs and three home runs over 10 1/3 innings in his last two starts combined. Angels' right-hander Shohei Ohtani (3-2, 3.08 ERA) has been lights out lately with a total of only three earned runs allowed through his last four starts. At this price, you just gotta love the hot Halos with their ace on the mound. 10* PLAY ON LOS ANGELES ANGELS.
05-10-22 | Marlins v. Diamondbacks UNDER 8 | Top | 3-9 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 11 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY Diamondbacks' veteran left-hander Madison Bumgarner has found his footing after struggling in his first two seasons in Arizona. Bumgarner (1-1, 1.50 ERA) has been one of the best pitchers in the major leagues this year, and he has allowed only one run over 15 innings in his last three starts combined. Miami hands the ball to left-hander Jesus Luzardo (2-2, 3.08 ERA) who's had a solid start to the year as well, and the D'Backs batting only .185 while averaging 2.76 R/9 against left-handers. 10* PLAY ON UNDER.
05-09-22 | Rockies v. Giants -1.5 | Top | 5-8 | Win | 100 | 12 h 46 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* LATE NIGHT MLB RUNLINE RIPPER The San Francisco Giants are 2-1 straight up and against the runline as home favorites of -200 or more. The Colorado Rockies are 1-3 SU and against the RL as underdogs and their opponent is a favorite of -200 or more. The Giants are 3-1 straight up and against the runline in left-hander Carlos Rodon's (3-1, 1.55 ERA) four starts as a favorite this year. 10* PLAY ON SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS.
05-08-22 | Dodgers -1.5 v. Cubs | Top | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 15 h 52 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB RUNLINE PLAY OF THE DAY The Chicago Cubbs are reeling, coming into this game as losrs of seven of their last eight games. The Los Angeles Dodgers are rolling, coming off five five straight wins, all by two runs or more. The Dodgers are 4-1 SU and against the RL in Walker Buehler's five starts this year. Buehler (3-1, 2.12 ERA) has fanned 15 through 14 scoreless innings in his last two starts. 10* PLAY ON LOS ANGELES DODGERS -1.5.
05-05-22 | Reds v. Brewers UNDER 7.5 | Top | 5-10 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 40 m | Show |
MIKE'S SUPER EARLY MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Milwaukee Brewers put an 18-4 beating on Cincinnati yesterday. For the season, the over/under is 17-25 in games where one of the teams scored 10 runs or more the previous game. Cincinnati's rookie right-hander Hunter Greene (1-3, 6.00 ERA) has 22 strikeouts over his first 18 innings in the majors, and the Brewers are striking out almost nine times per nine innings. I expect plenty of swings and misses from the Brew Crew today as they might feel a bit too frisky looking to repeat yesterday's performance. The Brewers counter with right-hander Adrian Houser (2-2, 2.53 ERA) who's had a solid start to the year, and he struck out eight through six shutout innings against the Cubs in his last start. The Reds are averaging only 3.30 runs per nine innings on the season. 10* PLAY ON UNDER.
05-04-22 | Angels v. Red Sox UNDER 8.5 | Top | 10-5 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 3 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The Los Angeles Angels got shut out in a 4-0 loss to Boston on Tuesday. I don't expect them to score many runs tonight either, coming up against Red Sox right-hander Garrett Whitlock (1-1, 0.54 ERA) who has conceded a total of only one earned run while recording 20 strikeouts over 16 2/3 innings this season. The Angels turn to left-hander Reid Detmers (1-1, 5.19 ERA) to get a start instead of Shohei Ohtani. Detmers has given up only three runs on five hits with eight strikeouts over his last two starts. The Red Sox are averaging only 3.60 runs per nine innings on the season. 10* PLAY ON UNDER.
05-03-22 | White Sox -130 v. Cubs | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 11 h 25 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB MONEYLINE MONEYMAKER The Chicago White Sox have won only three of their last seven games, but they shut out the Angels yesterday and tonight's starter Michael Kopech (0-0, 1.42 ERA) has allowed only three earned runs over his 19 innings on the mound this season. The Cubs have also dropped seven of their last 10 games, and left-hander Drew Smyly (1-2, 2.79 ERA) has been tagged with six runs on 11 hits (four home runs) over his last two starts. The White Sox are 4-2 against left-handed starters and they are averaging 5.18 runs and only 2.6 strikeouts per nine innings against left-handers. 10* play on Chicago White Sox.
05-02-22 | Angels v. White Sox -124 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 7 m | Show |
MIKE'S ANGELS/WHITE SOX MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Chicago White Sox have lost 11 of their last 13 games, but I like them here as they look to earn a tie of this four-game series. The White Sox are averaging 5.30 R/9 against left-handers and Angels' lefty Patrick Sandoval (1-0, 0.00 ERA) could be in for a rough awakening after not allowing a single earned run through his first 15 innings of the season. The White Sox counter with Dylan Cease (2-1, 3.27 ERA) who has been solid, and the White Sox have won three of his four starts. 10* PLAY ON CHICAGO WHITE SOX.
04-30-22 | Astros v. Blue Jays -120 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 14 h 51 m | Show |
MIKE'S ASTROS/BLUE JAYS MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Toronto Blue Jays took two of three at Houston in their first series last weekend, and I like them to bounce back here after taking a 11-7 loss in the opener of this series Friday night. Toronto right-hander Jose Berrios (1-0, 4.9 ERA) has allowed a total of only three runs over 13 innings in his last two starts combined. He held the Red Sox to two runs on five hits over seven innings in a 6-2 Blue Jays win on April 25, and Toronto has won each of his four starts this year. Houston right-hander Luis Garcia (1-0, 4.60 ERA) pitched in the lone Houston win against Toronto last weekend, but he was rather lucky to not be taking an L after giving up five runs in six innings. The Blue Jays are averaging 5.00 runs per game home at Rogers Centre. The Astros are averaging 3.43 rpg on the road. 10* play on Toronto Blue Jays.
04-29-22 | Phillies v. Mets -110 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 16 h 43 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE WEEK - PHILLIES/METS BIG BET ALERT This looks like a great spot to back the New York Mets who had won three straight and five of six prior to a 10-5 loss at St. Louis on Wednesday. They had Thursday off, while the Phillies completed a four-game sweep against Colorado. We have two solid pitchers on the mound in Phillies' Aaron Nola (1-2, 3.74 ERA) and Mets' Tylor Megill (3-0, 2.35 ERA), but the Mets' bullpen has a better ERA at 3.34 against Phillies' 4.17 ERA. Home advantage, rest advantage, and motivation favor the Mets, and I like the price we get on the home team. 10* play on New York Mets.
04-28-22 | Cubs v. Braves UNDER 8.5 | Top | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 17 h 9 m | Show |
MIKE'S CUBS/BRAVES MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY Over their last six games, the Chicago Cubs have scored 32 runs. That might look impressive at first glance, but keep in mind that 21 of those runs were scored in a single game, against Pittsburgh, on April 23. That leaves 11 runs scored between the other five games, and here they'll face a hot pitcher in Atlanta right-hander Kyle Wright (2-0, 1.06 ERA). Wright has been excellent with only two runs allowed and 26 strikeouts against two walks over 17 innings of work. Cubs' left-hander Drew Smyly (1-1, 2.45 ERA) had opened the season with 9 2/3 scoreless innings before giving up four runs on six hits in five innings against Pittsburgh in his last start. He should bounce back with a strong outing. 10* play on UNDER.
04-27-22 | Astros v. Rangers UNDER 8.5 | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 52 m | Show |
MIKE'S ASTROS/RANGERS MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The first game of this series saw eight runs, the second game six runs. I don't expect to see much action over the plate in Game 3 tonight either. Houston hands the ball to Cristian Javier (0-0, 0.00 ERA) for his first start of the season. Javier has worked 8 1/3 frames as a reliever this season, but he is not a complete stranger to starting games and owns a 3.35 ERA over 51 career appearances, 19 starts. Javier has posted a 2.84 ERA over eight career outings (four starts) against the Rangers who turn to Glenn Otto. Otto (1-0, 1.80 ERA) held Oakland to one run on two hits with five strikeouts over five innings in his first, and up until now, only start of the season. 10* play on UNDER.
04-26-22 | Rockies v. Phillies UNDER 8 | Top | 3-10 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 32 m | Show |
MIKE'S ROCKIES/PHILLIES MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Colorado Rockies average only 3.72 R/9 away from home and they are 5-2 to the under on the road. The Philadelphia Phillies won Monday's matchup 8-2, but they still average only 2.74 R/9 at home at Citizens Bank Park and they are 5-2-2 to the under in their home games. Neither pitcher has had a great start to the year, but Rockies' right-hander German Marquez (0-0, 4.67 ERA) owns a solid 3.21 ERA in seven career starts against the Phillies and I don't trust Rockies' bats to do much damage of Eflin. 10* play on UNDER.
04-25-22 | Dodgers -1.5 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 13 h 25 m | Show |
MIKE'S MONDAY NIGHT MLB RUNLINE RIPPER TOP PLAY The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off a 10-2 win at San Diego and they have scored five runs or more in six of their lsat eight games. Arizona righty Merrill Kelly (1-0, 0.59 ERA) is off to a hot start to the season but he is 0-4 with a 4.58 ERA in seven career appearances against the Dodgers. LAD right-hander Walker Buehler (1-1, 4.02 ERA) is 4-0 with a 2.24 ERA in 11 career appearances against Arizona. The Dodgers are 11-4 straight up and against the runline as favorites this season. 10* play Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5.
04-24-22 | Blue Jays v. Astros -118 | Top | 7-8 | Win | 100 | 5 h 5 m | Show |
MIKE'S JAYS/ASTROS MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY This looks like a good spot to back the Houston Astros to end a four-game skid and deny the Blue Jays to sweep this three-game series. Toronto left-hander Yusei Kikuchi (0-1, 3.24 ERA) is 1-5 with a 6.00 ERA in 11 career starts against the Astros who counter with Right-hander Luis Garcia (1-0, 2.79 ERA). Garcia has made one career start against Toronto. It came during his rookie season last year when he held the Jays to one run on three hits with eight strikeouts through six frames. 10* play on Houston Astros.
04-23-22 | Marlins v. Braves UNDER 8.5 | Top | 9-7 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 13 m | Show |
MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The Miami Marlins are averaging only 3.55 R/9 and they are 9-4 to the under on the season. They've been shut out in two of their last four games. Miami right-hander Elieser Hernandez (1-1, 4.22 ERA) has posteda 2.27 ERA through 10 career outings (five starts) against Atlanta. 10* play on UNDER.
04-20-22 | Pirates v. Brewers UNDER 8 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 6 h 40 m | Show |
MIKE'S EARLY TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The Milwaukee Brewers are going for the three-game sweep after winning the first two games 6-1 and 5-2. I expect this to be another low-scoring game. The Brewers have scored one run or fewer in four of their 11 games and the Pirates have scored two runs or fewer in six of their 11 games. Both starting pitchers are off to a rough start, but as both teams have yet to find consistency at the plate, I still like the under. 10* play on UNDER.
04-19-22 | Pirates v. Brewers UNDER 7.5 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 40 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY Both the Milwaukee Brewers and the Pittsburgh Pirates have been inconsistent at the plate to start the season. The Brewers have scored one run or fewer in four of their 10 games and the Pirates have scored two runs or fewer in five of their 10 games. Milwaukee right-hander Corbin Burnes (0-0, 2.25 ERA) is 4-0 with a 2.82 ERA in 16 career outings (four starts) against the Pirates. Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings. 10* play on UNDER.
04-17-22 | Astros -112 v. Mariners | Top | 2-7 | Loss | -112 | 8 h 58 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE WEEK - MIKE'S TOP-RATED 10* BEST BET The Houston Astros are coming off a 4-0 win after taking an 11-1 beating by Seattle on Friday. I like Houston here in the rubber match of the series with Jose Urquidy on the moyund. He held the Angels to one run on four hits in his first start of the season. Urquidy posted a 1-0 record with a 3.68 ERA in three starts against Seattle last season. The Mariners hand the ball to rookie Matt Brash and I think he'll find it hard to slow down the Astros. 10* play on Houston Astros.
04-14-22 | Cubs v. Rockies UNDER 11.5 | Top | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 17 h 30 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* CUBS/ROCKIES MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Chicago Cubs and the Colorado Rockies are averaging 4.50 and 4.89 runs per nine innings respectively. Colorado starter Kyle Freeland was knocked around by the Dodgers in his first start of the season, but I expect him to bounce back with a strong outing. Cubs' starter Justin Steele held Milwaukee scoreless through five innings in his first start of the year. Coors Field is a hitters park, but that is no secret. The bookmakers know they can post high totals and the public usually fall right into the trap. The Rockies were 44-34-3 to the under in their home games in 2021. 10* play on UNDER.
04-13-22 | Mets v. Phillies UNDER 8.5 | Top | 9-6 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 9 m | Show |
MIKE'S METS/PHILLIES 10* MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY Max Scherzer gave up three runs on three hits with a walk and six strikeouts in six innings against the Nats in his first start with the Mets. Mad Max can't be too happy with that outing, and I expect him to have a solid outing here against a Philadelphia team he has a 2.82 ERA against through 14 starts. The Phillies counter with Aaron Nola who has a 3.12 ERA in 20 starts against the Mets. Under is 12-3-2 in the last 17 meetings. 10* play on UNDER.
04-11-22 | Blue Jays -102 v. Yankees | Top | 3-0 | Win | 100 | 14 h 1 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB PLAY OF THE DAY Both the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees took their first loss of the season yesterday. While both sides will be looking to get back to their winning ways, I like the price we get on the Jays to get the win. Yankees' starter Jameson Taillon was 8-6 with a 4.30 ERA last year. Taillon is 1-2 with a 5.21 ERA in five career starts against Toronto. Alek Manoah will toe the slab for Toronto. Manoah compiled a 9-2 record with a 3.22 ERA through 20 starts in his rookie season last year. He is 1-0 with a 2.31 ERA in 11 2/3 innings of work against the Yankees. Toronto has scored 20 runs through its first three games of the season, seven more than the Yankees. 10* play on Toronto Blue Jays.
04-10-22 | Pirates v. Cardinals -1.5 | Top | 9-4 | Loss | -100 | 14 h 30 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE WEEK - MIKE'S 10* MLB RUNLINE RIPPER The St. Louis Cardinals have won the first two games of this series in dominant fashion. They'll have a big edge on the mound here in the series-finale, and I expect a nice and comfortable win for the Cards. Steven Matz will take the mound for his Cardinals debut since coming over from Toronto as a free agent. Matz was 4-7 with a 3.82 ERA through 150 1/3 innings last year, and he should be able to handle a Pittsburgh team that has scored only two runs through its first two games. The Pirates turn to 24-year-old Bryse Wilson who went 3-7 with a 5.35 ERA across 16 starts last year. Wilson has yet to finish a season with a sub-4.00 ERA, and the Cards have been swinging hot bats to start the season. 10* play on St. Louis Cardinals -1.5.
04-09-22 | White Sox -140 v. Tigers | Top | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 47 m | Show |
MIKE'S SUPER EARLY MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY I love the Chicago White Sox here. They were in complete control of yesterday's game before losing to some late-inning heroics from the Tigers. I expect them to put this one away early and then hold on for the W. Tigers' righty Casey Mize is 0-6 with a 4.54 ERA in eight career starts against the White Sox while Dylan Cease is 11-0 with a 1.82 ERA in 13 starts against the Tigers, including 5-0 with a 2.67 ERA in five starts at Comerica Park. 10* play on Chicago White Sox.
10-29-21 | Astros v. Braves -106 | Top | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 14 h 7 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE YEAR ALERT - MIKE'S WORLD SERIES BEST BET The Braves and the Astros have the World Series tied at one apiece after splitting two games at Houston. I like Atlanta to take game 3 home at Truist Park. Astros righty Luis Garcia is 1-1 with a 9.64 ERA in three starts this postseason and he has been pitching a lot better at home than on the road all season. Braves' righty Ian Anderson is 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA in three outings in the current playoffs and he is 3-0 with a 1.47 ERA in seven career postseason starts. 10* play on Atlanta Braves.
10-19-21 | Braves v. Dodgers -1.5 | Top | 5-6 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 44 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE YEAR ALERT - MIKE'S NLCS MAJOR WAGER The Dodgers are not in do-or-die mode, but they're just one loss away from being there, after opening the series with a pair of losses at Atlanta. Now they get to return home to Chavez Ravine where they've been dominant all season long. The Braves are 0-5 as road dogs when the opponent is a favorite of -170 or more and veteran right-hander Charlie Morton was tagged with five runs in 4 1/3 innings when he faced the Dodgers with the Rays in Game 3 of the World Series last year. I think we're getting a terrific price on a desperate Dodgers team that can't afford to drop this one. 10* play on Los Angeles Dodgers.
10-15-21 | Red Sox v. Astros -135 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 19 h 31 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* RED SOX @ ASTROS ALCS GAME 1 BOOKIE BREAKER The Red Sox have made it all the way from the Wild Card game to the ALCS, but I think Houston will prove too difficult, at least here in the first game of the series. Houston left-hander Framber Valdez (11-6, 3.14 ERA) was not at his sharpest against the White Sox in his ALDS start, but the team still won the game 9-4 and Valdez has posted a 1.59 ERA in four career appearances (two starts) against the Red Sox. Boston lefty Chris Sale (5-1, 3.16 ERA) was lit up for five runs on four hits and a walk in just one inning against Tampa Bay in his last start. Sale made only nine starts this season as he worked his way back from Tommy John surgery. Red Sox are 5-13 in their last 18 games as a road underdog. Astros are 5-0 in their last 5 games as a favorite. Red Sox are 2-5 in the last 7 meetings. 10* play on Houston Astros.
10-14-21 | Dodgers v. Giants UNDER 7 | Top | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 18 h 59 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* DODGERS @ GIANTS NLDS GAME 5 *BEST BET* Giant's righty Logan Webb (11-3, 2.97 ERA) held the Dodgers to five hits and fanned 10 through 7 2/3 scoreless innings in a 4-0 win on October 8. Webb is 6-0 with a minuscule 1.96 ERA home at Oracle Park this season. Dodgers' left-hander Julio Urias (20-3, 2.96 ERA) held the Giants to one run in three hits with five ks through five innings in his last start. Urias is 13-2 with a 2.71 ERA on the road this season. I think runs will come at a premium for both teams, and I would not be surprised to see a 2-1 type final score for either team. 10* play on UNDER.
10-11-21 | Brewers v. Braves -103 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 32 m | Show |
EARLY BREWERS @ BRAVES NLDS GAME 3 *TOP PLAY* The Braves stole Game 1 in Milwaukee. I think they'll defend the home-field advantage with a win here with right-hander Ian Anderson (9-5, 3.58 ERA) on the mound. Anderson limited the Brew Crew to one run on two hits through six innings of a 5-1 victory on May 15. Anderson posted a 5-1 record in 11 home starts during the regular season and he was 3-0 with a 4.39 ERA five September starts. Milwaukee righty Freddy Peralta (10-5, 2.81 ERA) was just 1-2 with a 4.70 ERA in five September starts. The Brewers bats were cold down the stretch while Atlanta closed out the regular season as one of the hottest teams in baseball. I expect the Braves to run away with this. 10* play on Atlanta Braves.
10-07-21 | White Sox v. Astros -131 | Top | 1-6 | Win | 100 | 10 h 17 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* THURSDAY NIGHT MLB BOOKIE BREAKER I think we're getting a great price on Houston in this one, especially considering that the White Sox are only 5-18 SU (+39.4% ROI fading) as road dogs in 2021. Houston righty Lance McCullers Jr. (13-5, 3.16 ERA) has made two starts against the White Sox this year, holding them to three runs and four hits in 13 innings with 14 strikeouts. White Sox righty Lance Lynn (11-6, 2.69 ERA) gave up six runs on eight hits through only four innings in his lone start against the Astros this year. 10* play on Houston Astros.
10-06-21 | Cardinals v. Dodgers -1.5 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 59 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* CARDS @ DODGERS NL WILD CARD SHOWDOWN The Cardinals closed out the regular season as one of the hottest teams in baseball, but now they'll face a Dodgers team that wrapped up the regular season by winning each of their last six games and averaging nine runs over its past five games. Their 106 wins on the season would have won every division except for their own NL West where they finished one game behind the Giants. Dodgers' right-hander Max Scherzer (15-4, 2.46 ERA) has yet to take a losing decision (7-0, 1.98 ERA) since coming over from the Nats. While Cards' veteran Adam Wainwright (17-7, 3.05 ERA) has been terrific lately as well, I don't see him shutting down this Dodgers' team in a one-and-done type of game. The Dodgers went 29-15 against the runline (ROI of 17.5%) as home favorites of -200 or more during the regular season. 10* play on Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5.
10-05-21 | Yankees v. Red Sox UNDER 8 | Top | 2-6 | Push | 0 | 16 h 37 m | Show |
MIKE'S 10* YANKEES @ RED SOX AL WILD CARD TOP PLAY Both teams have potent lineups, but I expect runs to come at a premium for both the Yankees and the Red Sox here in the AL Wild Card game. Yankees' right-hander Gerrit Cole (16-8, 3.23 ERA) owns a 2.68 ERA in 13 career postseason starts while Boston right-hander Nathan Eovaldi (11-9, 3.75 ERA) has posted a 1.61 ERA in six career postseason outings (two starts). Under is 12-3-1 in the last 16 meetings. Under is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings at Fenway Park. 10* play on UNDER.
09-30-21 | Phillies v. Braves -142 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 18 h 40 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB NL GAME OF THE WEEK (SIDE) The Phillies have dropped three in a row, the last two here at Atlanta. The Braves have won nine of their last 10 and here they hand the ball to Ian Anderson (8-5, 3.60 ERA) who is a solid 4-1 with a 3.58 ERA home at Truist Park on the season. Anderson has faced the Phillies four times this year, holding them to eight runs on 19 hits with 24 strikeouts over 23 1/3 innings of work. The Phillies hand the ball to Kyle Gibson (10-8, 3.60 ERA) who is just 3-5 with a 4.29 ERA in his road starts. Gibson is a winless 0-3 (1-4 team record) over his last five starts, with 22 runs allowed over 27 2/3 innings of work. 10* play on Atlanta Braves.
09-29-21 | Cubs v. Pirates UNDER 8.5 | Top | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 56 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The Pirates are averaging an MLB-worst 3.91 runs per game. Cubs' right-hander Kyle Hendricks (14-7, 4.81 ERA) owns a 3.69 ERA in 23 career starts against the Pirates who counter with Roansy Contreras who will make his MLB debut. Contreras has compiled a 2.64 ERA while pitching for Double-A Altoona and Triple-A Indianapolis this season. The reeling Cubs have lost seven straight. Under is 8-3-1 in the last 12 meetings in Pittsburgh. 10* play on UNDER.
09-28-21 | A's v. Mariners UNDER 8 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 14 h 0 m | Show |
MLB GAME OF THE YEAR (AL TOTAL) Oakland right-hander Chris Bassitt (12-4, 3.16 ERA) held Seattle to one hit with four Ks through three scoreless innings in his last start since a 36-day layoff due to a shattered cheekbone. Bassitt has posted a 2.70 ERA over his last three starts. Seattle left-hander Tyler Anderson (7-10, 4.48 ERA) will open in what will be a bullpen game for the home team. Oakland's bats have been cold lately, and I think the Mariners relievers can keep them in check. Under is 6-2-1 in Athletics last 9 games as a favorite. Under is 8-3-1 in Athletics last 12 overall. Under is 4-1-1 in Mariners last 6 games as an underdog. Under is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings. 10* play on UNDER.
09-22-21 | Orioles v. Phillies UNDER 8.5 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 13 h 14 m | Show |
MAJOR WAGER ALERT - 10* IL TOTAL GAME OF THE MONTH The Phillies have a .208 batting average over their last three games, and they've scored only five runs during that stretch. This looks like a good spot for Baltimore left-hander Keegan Akin (2-10, 6.93 ERA) to better his numbers, and he had a couple of solid starts prior to his last three outings. Baltimore has scored more than three runs in only one of their last eight games, and their .239 batting average for the season is one of the worst marks in baseball. Phillies' All-star right-hander Zack Wheeler (14-9, 2.83 ERA) is having a great year, and he has a 2.04 ERA in his three career starts against the Orioles. Under is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings in Philadelphia. Under is 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings. 10* play on UNDER.
09-21-21 | Nationals v. Marlins UNDER 8 | Top | 7-1 | Push | 0 | 10 h 26 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY Marlins rookie left-hander Trevor Rogers (7-7, 2.71 ERA) has made three career starts against Washington, resulting in a 3.86 ERA. Nats' lefty Josh Rogers (1-0, 2.60 ERA) held the Marlins to one hit, one walk, and no runs while striking out six in five innings last week. The Marlins won the opener of this series 8-7 on Monday. Under is 6-1-1 in Nationals last 8 after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game. Under is 7-2-1 in Nationals last 10 after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game. Under is 7-1 in Marlins' last 8 after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game.
09-20-21 | Blue Jays v. Rays UNDER 8.5 | Top | 4-6 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 16 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY Rays' righty Shane Baz may be making his MLB debut, but he's a top-prospect that has posted a 1.76 mark in 10 starts while holding opposing hitters to a .174 batting average in Triple-A this season. Also, Baz will be backed up by a Rays bullpen that is among the best in baseball. As for Toronto left-hander Robbie Ray (12-5, 2.64 ERA), the American League Cy Young Award candidate's numbers speak for themselves. In seven career outings against the Rays, Ray is 2-2 with an ERA of 2.45. Under is 6-0-2 in the last 8 meetings. Under is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings in Tampa Bay. 10* play on UNDER.
09-17-21 | Phillies v. Mets UNDER 7.5 | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 16 h 31 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The Phillies are coming off a 17-8 rout of the Cubs while the Mets took an 11-4 loss to St. Louis last time out. I expect both teams' bats to cool off here with two tough pitchers on the mound. Mets' righty Taijuan Walker (7-9, 4.29 ERA) has posted a 3.55 ERA in 14 outings (three starts) at home and a 3.80 ERA in four starts against the Phillies this season. Philadelphia righty Zack Wheeler (13-9, 2.86 ERA) has held the Mets to seven runs with 31 Ks over 29 1/3 innings (2.15 ERA) this year. Under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in New York. Under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings. 10* play on UNDER.
09-16-21 | Reds v. Pirates UNDER 9 | Top | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 6 h 44 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB PLAY OF THE DAY - REDS @ PIRATES TOTAL This looks like a great spot to fade the Pirates as they look to complete the three-game sweep. The Bucs are 0-10 this season when going for a sweep and 8-2 to the under. Desperation must be kicking in for the Reds who have lost four straight and seven of nine to fall out of a wild card spot. Reds' righty Tyler Mahle (11-5, 3.73 ERA) is 7-2 with a 1.97 ERA on the road and 2-0 with a 2.19 ERA against Pittsburgh this year. 10* play on UNDER.
09-15-21 | Rays v. Blue Jays UNDER 9 | Top | 3-6 | Push | 0 | 15 h 46 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The Rays won Tuesday's matchup 2-0, and I think the finale of this three-game series will be another low-scoring affair. Ray's righty Michael Wacha (3-4, 5.37 ERA) has posted a 2.35 ERA through his last three starts, with only nine hits allowed and 19 Ks over 15 1/3 innings of work. Blue Jays' left-hander Robbie Ray (11-5, 2.69 ERA) has posted a 2.50 ERA over his last three starts, with 28 Ks against 13 hits over 18 innings of work. The under is 6-0-1 in the last seven meetings. 10* play on UNDER. |
