On the season the Tampa Bay Rays have had a clear advantage over the Boston Red Sox. Overall they are 9-2 against the Red Sox and have won all three series. Yet, there are certain postseason teams that stumble towards the finish line. The Rays are just 3-5 over their last eight games. Take Boston as the slight home underdog.

Shane Bieber of the Cleveland Guardians will make his return off the 60 day IL. His work load will obviously be reduced, but Dean Kremer of the Orioles has also pitched five innings or less in three straight starts. Furthermore, the Orioles bullpen surrendered three runs in the eighth inning for their second straight loss. Take the Guardians as the Orioles are just 4-6 over their last ten games.

Friday, the Tampa Bay Rays have a chance to get back atop the division in the AL East. The Baltimore Orioles have had a three game slide and have had issues with their starting pitching extending beyond five innings. Look for the Rays to get to Orioles starter Jack Flaherty who lasted just 3 1/3 innings his last time out. Take the Rays on the money line.

Cincinnati Reds rookie pitcher Brandon Williamson is on the mound tonight after missing his last start with Covid-19. The rookie pitcher has allowed three earned runs or less in four of his last five starts. Additionally, the Reds have been dynamite in interleague road series where they are a combined 10-2 this season. Take the Reds.

The St. Louis Cardinals have produced five runs or more in five straight games. This included cashing as big underdogs in two of three games against the Atlanta Braves. Keeping the hot bat without a day off compared to the Cincinnati Reds is a factor tonight. Look for St. Louis to rattle Reds rookie pitcher Andrew Abbott and have another big night at the plate.

The Miami Marlins have side stepped the news of Sandy Alcantara and Jorge Soler going on the injured list. They are riding a six game winning streak and have a chance to sweep the Dodgers tonight. Dodgers starter Ryan Pepiot is going into his fourth start of the season, and the tough part of seeing this Marlins team twice. Take the Marlins to continue their hot streak.

On paper the Milwaukee Brewers have a huge pitching advantage with Freddy Peralta on the mound today. Over his last five starts he has allowed just five total runs. Yet, his ERA on the road this season is 4.19. This includes a June 30th start at Pittsburgh in which he gave up three runs in 5 1/3 innings. Take the Pirates as the big home underdog.

Today the New York Mets are the heaviest they have been favored on the road since August 2nd versus the Kansas City Royals. It should be an opportune spot against a Washington Nationals team that has lost five in a row. Additionally, when the Nationals had a hot stretch in late July to early August they lost to one out of five series. That lost series was against the Mets.

The Oakland As have won three of their past four games. Sunday, they will aim for a sweep over the LA Angels. Today’s starting pitcher for the A’s in Kyle Muller has not received one run of support over his last two starts. That should change today as Tyler Anderson is coming off giving up three home runs his last start. Grab the A’s.

Friday should be a great bounce back spot for Eduardo Rodriguez of the Detroit Tigers. He has had a bit of a rough patch in two of his last three starts. He had to return to Fenway for the first time since leaving in the offseason of 2021, and the Astros have had his number over the years. He will settle back in today against a White Sox team he gave up just five hits against on May 28th.

Tonight expect the Atlanta Braves to have a statement game. Although the Dodgers have won all five of Lance Lynn’s starts, the Braves bats will be to much. Lynn gave up two home runs in the third inning when he say the Braves on July 15th. Additionally, he is coming off matching a season high of ten hits allowed his last start against the Red Sox. Take Atlanta

The New York Yankees are attempting to win consecutive road games for the first time since June 29th. Today should be a great opportunity against a Detroit Tigers team that has a taxed bullpen. Over the last three games they have given up 21 runs. Expect the Yankees to take advantage once Tarik Skubal exits. Grab the Yankees.

I typically do not want to bet against a winning streak, but today I’ll make a rare case on the Chicago Cubs side. The Milwaukee Brewers are currently on an eight game winning streak, but have Wade Miley pitching today. Miley has pitched five innings or less in three of his lat four starts. Additionally, he gave up a season high nine hits to the Cubs on July 4th. Grab the Cubs today.

A week ago the San Francisco Giants were in the second wild card spot in the National League. Now they’ve dropped to fifth and are in dire need of avoiding being swept by the Atlanta Braves today. Expect a big boost of production from the Giants lineup today. as Braves pitcher Jared Shuster struggles on the road with a 6.27 ERA. Back the Giants

Thursday, the Baltimore Orioles will aim to go 10-3 against the Toronto Blue Jays this season. Additionally, on the line is the fact that the Orioles have won eight straight divisional series this year. Look for that to change today as Kyle Gibson has struggled his last two outings. Look for the Bluejays to capitalize much better than they did on July 31st. Take the Blue Jays. 

Wednesday, expect runs in the first game of a double header between the LA Angels and Cincinnati Reds. Over Andrew Abbott’s last four starts the average runs scored has been ten. Additionally, this is a regression spot for Shohei Ohtani who has went a season high three straight games without an earned run allowed. Play the over here.

The San Francisco Giants are in a tough road spot Monday against the Philadelphia Phillies, after a weekend road series against the Atlanta Braves. Additionally, they are just one game ahead of four teams in the Wild Card race. Expect the Giants to hang around in game one as Aaron Nola has allowed four runs or more in three of his past four starts. Take the Giants on the money line.

Yesterday I was originally on the heavily favored Detroit Tigers before the game was postponed. With a different pitcher for game one today for the Cleveland Guardians I am now on the other side. Rookie Gavin Williams has had great outings, but a string of three consecutive games of bad luck have cost him wins. That changes today versus a team below .500 in the Detroit Tigers.

Since Saturday the Philadelphia Phillies are in a prolonged team slump at the plate. They have either been shutout or scored one run, including in yesterday’s game one loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. That is troublesome considering Kevin Gausman allowed a season low three hits and no runs against the Phillies on May 10th. Back the home team here in Toronto.

Yesterday we saw the market drop a full run on Seattle and Kansas City’s total. Today it has moved up and I’ll fade the market move once again. Kansas City is over achieving at the plate where they rank tenth in runs post All Star break, but are 28th on the season. Expect a dip tonight as rookie Emerson Hancock has another effective outing. Play the under.

The Cincinnati Reds are just 2-8 over their last ten games. Even at home they have been untrustworthy where they are 1-5 over their last six games. Concern also lies with how effective Graham Ashcraft will be today. He has thrown 103 pitches or more in three of his last four starts, after throwing over 100 pitches just once in his first eighteen outings. Take Cleveland

Tonight’s matchup between the Seattle Mariners and Kansas City Royals total came down a full run from the original offering of nine. I’ll side with the over as Logan Gilbert is allowing a .259 average to opposing teams his last five starts. Additionally, I expect Seattle to be aggressive at the plate after having their eight game win streak snapped this weekend by the Baltimore Orioles. Play the over.

The Miami Marlins are coming off a comeback win over the New York Yankees on Sunday. The victory is their fourth over their last five games, which is their best stretch since early July. Outside of Framer Valdez no hitter against the LA Angels, he has been subpar including allowing six runs his last start to the Orioles. Back the home underdog here in the Marlins.

Saturday, look for the New York Yankees to have success again against the Miami Marlins. Last year’s Cy Young Award winner for the Marlins in Sandy Alcantara has had a severe dip in 2023. Additionally, he had run support of one run in his two starts in the month of August. Take the Yankees on a moneyline that has soared out of control on the Marlins side.

Adam Wainwright has continued to struggle in the second half of the season. He is coming off just three innings of work against the Colorado Rockies, in which he gave up seven runs. On May 29th, Wainwright registered his first loss of the season against Kansas City in which he gave up nine hits. Take the slight home underdog here.

The Boston Red Sox need to take care of business against a poor Kansas City Royals team. The Royals starter will be Austin Cox, so the Red Sox will see a lot of the second worst rated road bullpen in MLB. Additionally, expect James Paxton to bounce back to the norm where his home ERA is 3.00. Grab Boston on the run line. 

Monday, the Miami Marlins are the road favorite against the Cincinnati Reds. Starting pitcher Eury Perez made his debut against Cincinnati on May 12th, so should have an upper hand seeing them for a second time. Additionally, the Reds are on a six-game losing streak where they have lost by an average of 5.5 runs per game. Take the Marlins as the Reds losing streak builds to seven.

Friday, there will be opportunities for the Diamondbacks at the plate. Twins starting pitcher Bailey Ober is coming off his worst outing of the season against the Kansas City Royals. On the season he has given up a total of thirteen home runs, with five in his last three starts. Expect that uptick to continue. Take the Diamondbacks. 

In consecutive days the Miami Marlins have lost to the Philadelphia Phillies in gut wrenching fashion. Monday, they blew a 2-0 lead and yesterday the bullpen quickly melted a gem outing from Sandy Alcantara. Look for a sharper performance today even against top pitcher Zach Wheeler as runs continue to be hard to come by. Grab the Marlins as the slight home underdog.

Inconsistency has plagued the Arizona Diamondbacks, as they are just 5 and 12 over their last seventeen games. Since the All Star break, Arizona has lost all three starts with pitcher Zac Gallen on the mound. Gallen has also surrendered multiple home runs in consecutive starts for the first time this season. Take the slight home favorites here in the Giants.

Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Shane McClanahan still has a stout record of 11 and 1 on the mound. Yet, the Rays have lost three of his past four starts as he has had issues pitching beyond four innings. Additionally, Tampa is in a prolonged slump where they have lost eight of ten, including four straight on the road. Grab the Astros here.

Mitch Keller’s struggles post All Star break have featured two games of allowing six runs or more. Both outings one bad inning got out of hand for Keller. Expect him to settle down today at home and have a much better performance. Grab the home value here as the Phillies lose for just the second time in Zach Wheeler’s last nine starts.

For the second time this month the Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers will meet. Brewers pitcher Colin Rea has had issues in both starts this season against the Reds. His previous start on July 8th he gave up five runs including home runs to Will Benson and Joey Votto. Take the Reds to build their win streak to six games and overtake the division lead.

Sunday, the Pittsburgh Pirates have an opportunity to win consecutive games for the first time since June 30th. They shutout the Angels Saturday and hit four home runs off of Shohei Ohtani Friday. Expect Mitch Keller to bounce back off a rough outing and the Angels nine game home stand to conclude with a loss.

Friday, look for the Giants to bounce back from a two-game road skid. They will face a Washington Nationals team that is giving up close to nine runs per game post All Star break. Do not expect National’s pitcher Jake Irvin to resemble his best start of the season in early May against the Giants. San Francisco gets a little payback and gets back in the win column.

Thursday, two pitchers that are coming off post All Star break rough outings will meet in Pablo Lopez and George Kirby.  Yet, the Twins come in red hot winning five of their past six games. They have also averaged over seven runs scored per game in this series against the Mariners. Take the Twins to finish off the series with a third straight victory.

Yesterday as road favorites the Tampa Bay Rays lost in heart breaking fashion in the ninth inning to the Texas Rangers. Now they are in a rare spot as an underdog, as they are just 3 and 9 over their last twelve games. Look for another low scoring game but for the Rays to find a way to deliver in the latter innings. Grab Tampa.

Monday, a big sixth inning with five runs catapulted the LA Dodgers to a game one series victory over the Baltimore Orioles. The loss ended the Orioles eight game winning streak and presents value again on the Dodgers side. Orioles starter Tyler Wells struggled post All Star break last season before ending up on the injured list. Expect the pressure to be on him today, and the Dodgers to cash once again.

Sunday, the LA Dodgers will look for their seventh straight victory, and a sweep over the New York Mets. The Mets have reverted back to the team we saw struggle to win five games in June. They’ve dropped four straight and have just one run in the series. Take the Dodgers to cash as the slight underdogs as the Mets struggles compound further. 

As a pitcher seeing the same opponent in a short time span is very difficult. That task is compounded as rookie Reds pitcher Andrew Abbott dazzled in his debut against the Brewers. July 7th it was a different story as he had his shortest outing of 4.1 innings and gave up six runs. Take Milwaukee to take advantage of Abbott for the second time in nine days.

The Miami Marlins were one of the best stories in the first half of the MLB season. Overall they are second in most wins in the NL with 53. Expect their team continuity to continue in game one on the road against the Baltimore Orioles. Both starters in Sandy Alcantara and Dean Kremer overachieved their past outings. Expect runs on both sides but for the Marlins to continue their late inning magic.

Friday, the San Francisco Giants will utilize Ross Stripling as a starter. On paper this has been a paradise to fade in the betting markets. Of his twelve starts this season the Giants have lost ten including six of the last seven. Yet, look for the Giants to not take this series lightly. They will avenge losing a home series to Pittsburgh in late May. Back the Giants.

Both the San Diego Padres and New York Mets come into tonight’s series with recent success. The Padres are coming off their first sweep of the season, and the Mets are undefeated in the month of July. As great as Justin Verlander’s past two starts have been, the Padres should have the advantage with having yesterday off. Expect the Mets hot bats to cool off and the Padres to take game one of the series.

Luis Severino’s struggles this season put his ERA at 6.30. Today could be a problem spot for Severino as the Orioles seemed to snap out of their funk in yesterday’s six to three win. Expect another great outing from Orioles pitcher Kyle Bradish, and for the Orioles to be the latest to chase Luis Severino out early. Lay the road favorite price here on the Orioles.

Wednesday, the Cincinnati Reds will aim for their first road sweep since their twelve game winning streak in mid-June. To get the job done they will need to offset starting pitcher Graham Ashcraft’s shaky ERA of 6.66. A positive is he is coming off his best outing of the season. Take the Reds as National’s pitcher Josiah Gray has performed better on the road than at home.

Today’s matchup between the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals is a trends spotlight. In the month of June all five of the starts from Miles Mikolas the Cardinals lost, while all five matchups with Braxton Garrett pitching the Marlins won. Over the years St. Louis has fared well against the Marlins, and it appears the Marlins may be having a pre All-Star break slide. Take St. Louis as the Marlins lose their fourth straight.

Yesterday, the Milwaukee Brewers blew a 7 to 3 lead to lose to the Pittsburgh Pirates. For Pittsburgh the comeback victory catapulted them to four consecutive wins. Yet, look for the Brewers to settle back in Saturday with Corbin Burnes on the mound. Additionally, the Pirates have lost four consecutive games in Johan Oviedo’s starts. Grab the Brewers.

In the month of June the New York Mets won just seven games. This includes yesterday’s series opener to the San Francisco Giants. Issues at the plate and with their bullpen have overrode their starting pitching. Expect that to be the case Saturday as the San Francisco Giants are one of the best teams at pulling out tight victories. Take the Giants as the underdog.

The Philadelphia Phillies bats continue to churn as they followed up five runs in Tuesday’s win with eight in yesterday’s victory over the Cubs. They have now won ten of their last thirteen games, and remain a road favorite once again Thursday. As great as Taijuan Walker’s month of June has been he still has an ERA of 4.10. It’ll also be interesting on how he follows up just seeing his old team in the Mets. Take the Cubs to pull out a close win.

One of the toughest follow up scenarios will be in play today for Marlins pitcher Jesus Luzardo. His last outing against the Pittsburgh Pirates he pitched a flawless seven innings and allowed no runs. Yet, his bullpen blew the game. Now he will head on the road where he has had issues with a 5.45 ERA. Take the Red Sox to conclude their home series against the Marlins with a win.

It has been quite the reversal for St. Louis when starting pitching Miles Mikolas is on the mound. In the month of May they won his last five starts. Thus far in the month of June St. Louis is 0-4 in Mikolas starts, as they have scored an average of 1.5 runs. Take the Astros to bounce back from yesterday’s loss as the underdogs.

The Milwaukee Brewers have scored just two runs in both games against the Mets. They also had their unblemished 4-0 start to the season against the Mets snapped yesterday. Yet, Wade Miley has been superb in two starts since returning from the IL. He also began the season with no runs allowed against the Mets. Take Milwaukee as the Mets pattern of winning one game in a series this month continues.

The Boston Red Sox have lost four of their past five games. After yesterday’s off day they will attempt to be the latest team to have success against Sandy Alcantara. Alcantara has given up ten hits in consecutive games, but the Marlins have won four of his past five road starts. Take the Marlins who continue to cash with the third best record in the NL.

Monday, the LA Angels will look to regroup in a home series against the Chicago White Sox. The Angels had success in late May against the White Sox, winning two of three at Guaranteed Rate Field. Tonight should be a great battle early on with both Reid Detmer’s and Dylan Cease pitching well in the month of June. Yet, look for the Angel’s to get the upper hand against the White Sox bullpen and take the first game of the series. Grab the Angels. 

Sunday night baseball will feature a Houston Astros team aiming to avoid being swept by the LA Dodgers. Houston is in the midst of a 5 and 12 stretch over their past seventeen games. Yet, they plated in seven runs yesterday on thirteen hits. After falling short by one run in consecutive nights, take the Astros to avoid the sweep. 

Saturday, look for the Cleveland Guardians to bounce back after losing game one Friday to the Milwaukee Brewers. Today’s pitcher for the Brewer’s in Freddy Peralta has had the fortune of three consecutive home starts. With a road ERA of 6.04, look for troubles to occur early and often for Peralta. Take the Guardians on the cheap price.

As hot as the Cincinnati Reds bats are, it’s going to be difficult for the Atlanta Braves to end the Cincinnati Reds twelve game winning streak. Yet, Atlanta’s bats are on a tear as well as they fell just one run short of defeating Cincinnati Friday evening. Look for the Braves to Reds pitcher Graham Ashcroft who struggled before going on the injured list on June 8th. Take Atlanta.

Wade Miley will get his second consecutive start since returning from the injured list. In his return this past Saturday he allowed just two hits and zero runs against the Pittsburgh Pirates. As great as Shane Bieber has been at home, he has struggled in interleague matchups. He was just rocked for a season high three home runs against the Arizona Diamondbacks, gave up nine hits to the National’s, and had a season-high four walks against the St. Louis Cardinals. Play the Brewers. 

The Boston Red Sox have torched the Minnesota Twins at the plate through two games with nineteen runs. Yesterday, they scored an extra seven runs off of the Twins bullpen and had home runs from Adam Duvall, Christian Arroyo, and Masataka Yoshida. Take the Red Sox to extend their winning streak to seven games

The San Francisco Giants enter Tuesday with a league leading eight straight wins. Last night they erased a 4 to 0 deficit against the San Diego Padres to keep their streak alive. Thanks to an average of nine runs over their past eight games they have been able to outweigh starting pitching struggles. Tuesday, take the Giants to side step any Anthony DeSclafani woes and extend their streak to nine games.

The Tampa Bay Rays are on a three game winning streak on their current West coast road trip. Today, they will see Padres pitcher Blake Snell who pitched his first five seasons with the Rays. As great as Snell’s last three games have been on the mound, seeing the MLB leading Rays is going to present a heightened challenge. Take the Rays as they boost their winning streak to four games.

Seattle Mariner’s pitcher Logan Gilbert is coming off his roughest outing of the season. Gilbert lasted just three innings and gave up six runs to the Los Angeles Angels. Look for Gilbert to bounce back against a White Sox team that scored just two runs in yesterday’s series opener against Seattle. In what will be another close game back the home side in Seattle.

Texas may be tied for the most home wins in MLB, but they are on a recent skid. They have lost four of their past five home games, including losing three of four in their last series against the LA Angels. Friday’s starter in Martin Perez has been rocked two of his last three starts, and is coming off his shortest outing of the season. Back the road favorites in Toronto.

Look for the Arizona Diamondbacks to get back in the win column Wednesday. On the mound will be pitcher Merrill Kelly who has won five straight starts. Additionally, the Diamondbacks have won seven of his past eight starts. Off a lopsided loss Tuesday, look for Kelly’s arm to lead the way for Arizona. 

For the second consecutive night the Kansas City Royals lost to the Cincinnati Reds, 5-4. They flirted with a potential comeback down 5 to 1, but were unable to finish the job. Now they have lost eight straight games and are the worst team in MLB. Today, look for their bats to pickup where they left off yesterday as Ben Lively has given up five home runs over his last two starts. Take Kansas City.

Last Sunday, Cleveland Guardian’s pitcher Triston McKenzie’s made his season debut. His pitch count was only seventy nine pitches but he threw a whopping ten strikeouts and only allowed one hit. Look for McKenzie to continue to look comfortable in his home debut. On the other side, Astros pitcher JP France does give up the home run ball but it’s usually minimal damage via a solo shot. Take the under. 

The Kansas City Royals lost their road opener to the Orioles Friday by 3 to 2. It marked their fourth straight loss and three games in a row that they have scored two runs or less. Runs should be boosted today with Orioles pitcher Cole Irvin making his return. Yet, Brady Singer’s road ERA of 6.97 will get the Orioles potent bats off to a big day. Grab the Orioles.

The Yankees have dropped three of their past four games with pitcher Clarke Schmidt on the mound. Yet he has been much more effective lately than his ERA suggests. He’s allowed just two runs or less over his last three starts. Take the Yankees with good momentum from their weekend wins against the Dodgers and Monday off

Monday, the Miami Marlins will host their third straight consecutive home series. They will face a Kansas City Royals team that has the second fewest wins in MLB with eighteen. This could be an overvalued spot as the Marlins still rank just 26th in runs. Take the Royals to pull off the win against the overpriced Marlins.

Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Tyler Wells has the best WHIP in MLB at .83. While he has surrendered just forty hits on the season, those hits have resulted in twenty three runs. In fact, he is tied for seventh amongst pitchers for home runs allowed. In what will likely be a low scoring game tail the Giants at home.

As dominant as Sonny Gray’s ERA is at a stout 1.94, there have been signs that runs are coming. For one he is walking two to three batters on average over his last several starts. His strikeout rate has also declined some. Expect the bats on both sides to trump the strong starting pitching. Take the over.

Both the Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins head into Friday’s series off of huge night’s at the plate Thursday. The Guardians scored twelve runs in their win over the Orioles while the Twins scored eight runs. That’s a concern with Twins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez’s issues at home were his ERA is 5.46. Grab the Guardians as the small underdog

Monday, the Cleveland Guardians handed the Baltimore Orioles their third shutout home loss of the season. It marked the fifth straight game that the Orioles have scored three runs or less. With the Orioles in a mini-slump expect Cal Quantrill of the Guardians to bounce back from his worst start of the season. On the other side Kyle Gibson has been outstanding allowing just one run over his last two starts. Take the under. 

The Marlins have ascended back over .500 thanks to winning three of their past four games. During that span their bats have come to life as they have scored an average of over 7.4 runs. Designated hitter Jorge Soler has been red hot and homered in five consecutive games. Take the Marlins to sweep the Angels and conclude their three series road trip

In Friday’s victory over the Seattle Mariners the Pittsburgh Pirates erupted with eleven total runs. The Pirates lineup certainly won’t explode to that degree today against Mariner’s ace Luis Castillo. Yet, Castillo has had a home friendly schedule as today is just his fourth road start. In fact, over his last two road starts he has allowed a combined four home runs. Take the over today.

Earlier this month the San Francisco Giants won their home stand over the Milwaukee Brewers. They’ve kept that momentum over the Brewers going in Milwaukee with a lopsided twenty runs to the Brewers one. Additionally, Corbin Burnes struggled against San Francisco on May 5th. Take the Giants to continue to have the upper hand. 

After an off day Thursday, the Cleveland Guardians will play a new home series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Over their last nine games the Guardians have just two wins as they are struggling at the plate. Additionally, Shane Bieber’s home ERA looks great at 2.41 but he has had just three home starts compared to seven on the road. Take the Cardinals as their young bats continue to do well.

Tonight the Boston Red Sox bats should break out of a prolonged three game slump. Last night they totaled just two hits and have scored just one run total their last three games.  Fortunately, tonight they will see Angels pitcher Tyler Anderson who they lit up for a season-high six runs on April 15th. Take the over as both teams have success at the plate. 

The LA Dodgers showcased Monday that they can offset a rookie starting pitcher’s woes and still pull off the win. They quickly erased a 4-0 first inning deficit Monday with eight runs. Freddie Freeman, JD Martinez, and Mookie Betts are all excelling at the moment. Additionally, Spencer Strider allowed his first multi-home run game of his career in his last start against the Rangers. Take the Dodgers

Monday, the Kansas City Royals will host the Detroit Tigers for the first time this season. After a poor month in April, Royal’s pitcher Brady Singer has had consecutive solid starts. Additionally, Singer allowed just one run in two home starts last season against the Detroit Tigers. Take the Royals to cash for the third straight time with Singer on the mound.

The Oakland As may be the top over team in baseball, but in six of their last eight games they have scored two runs or less. In yesterday’s loss to the Astros they mustered just one run on eight hits. Today the White Sox are cheaper at home than they were on the road in three of their prior four matchups on the road against Kansas City. Take the bargain discount as Zack Greinke’s road ERA is 7.71. The Royals are also 0-4 this season after an off day. Back the White Sox.

Thursday, the LA Dodgers are heavy road favorites as they are 15-3 over their last eighteen games. They’ll face a St. Louis Cardinals team that is also red-hot with victories in eight of their last ten games. Look for St. Louis to back up veteran pitcher Adam Wainwright’s struggles and pull off a home underdog victory. 

Both the Miami Marlin’s and Washington National’s bullpens struggled in Tuesday’s series opener. Six combined runs were scored from the eighth inning on including Jorge Soler’s walk off home run. Wednesday, look for starting pitching to excel once again and the bullpens to not unhinge as they did Tuesday. Take the under as the Marlins rank the third worst in MLB in run production.

After Friday’s opening series loss to the Orioles the Pittsburgh Pirates have now dropped ten of their last eleven games. Run production has sunk to an average of just 1.63 over that span of eleven games. A positive of their loss yesterday is they did score three runs. Additionally, Pirates pitcher Roansy Contreras has struggled his last two outings. Grab the over in this spot.

Boston Red Sox overs are hitting at a 68 percent rate coming into Friday’s series against the St. Louis Cardinals.  After a five game road trip, they’ll be eager to hit at home where they averaged seven runs their prior two home series. Additionally, Adam Wainwright struggled beyond the third inning in his season debut Saturday against the Detroit Tigers. Take the over

Sunday should be a great bounce back spot for the LA Angels as they host AL West rivals in the Texas Rangers. Before last night’s loss the Angels had won five straight. Additionally, Jose Suarez is coming off his first solid outing of the season against the Milwaukee Brewers. Take the Angels to get the win in their series finale against the Rangers. 

Luis Castillo’s dominance on the mound has his ERA at 1.82. Yet, he has not made it past the fifth inning in each of his last two starts. That should leave the door open for the Houston Astros to find a way to generate a run or two of the Mariners bullpen. In a low scoring game, take the road underdog here.

Skewed value is on the Rays side today due to their home dominance and 26-6 overall record. The Yankees have the intel on the Rays and a golden opportunity as this big of an underdog. This may be a game where young ace Jhony Brito continues to get bounced around but look for the Yankees bats to back him up. Grab the Yankees

I’ll add a diamond release on the LA Angels. St. Louis struggles out the gate have them tied with the Colorado Rockies for the fewest wins in the NL. Even in an interleague matchup and ace Miles Mikolas on the mound, I’ll still side with the road team. The Angels are streaky at the plate and may just need one big inning to get the job done. Yesterday the Cubs took game one in their road series against the Washington Nationals. The win ended a three-game slide for the Cubs as the Nationals tallied just one run at the plate. Expect the Cubs to build off of that win today as the Nationals are just 3-12 at home. 

Seattle is coming off a very tough series against the Philadelphia Phillies. After winning game one they had a grand slam in game two by JP Crawford to build a comfortable lead. The bullpen could not hold and they also lost yesterday’s series finale 1 to 0. Continuing their road travels look for their ace Luis Castillo to right the ship and get the Mariners back on track.

Logan Gilbert is getting the benefit of extra rest in between starts. Last Tuesday was his last time out on the mound against the Brewers, so he has not pitched in over a week. He may have a rough inning or two, but the Mariners bats are more than capable of making up a mini deficit. Take the Mariners to get back to .500.

The Pittsburgh Pirates blew a golden opportunity to boost their record to 17-7 yesterday. They had a 7 to 2 lead over the Dodgers going into the fifth inning, but lost 8 to 7. That’s a type of loss that can deflate a team that assuredly has overachieved to begin the year. Pounce on the road favorite here in the Dodgers. 

Tuesday the Twins will host the Yankees in game two of their current series. New York has been slumping at the plate where they have totaled just six runs over their last four games. They may break out of their slump today but Twins pitcher Joe Ryan has received stout run support this season. In four starts the Twins are averaging nine runs in Ryan’s outings. Take the Twins.

After a couple of poor starts to begin the season, Zac Gallen responded in consecutive shutout wins over the Brewers and Marlins. The contrast in his struggles and wins early in the season has been divisional opponents. Versus the Dodgers and today’s opponent in the Padres are who Gallen struggled against. With the Padres now having Tatis Jr. back look for the lineup to pose problems once again for Gallen. Take the Padres. 

What we learned last season is that the Yankees are susceptible at the plate. Even with the big names on their team the feast or famine is real. And typically I don’t like to play against a team that has been shutout. But the Yankees are a different story with their daily team inflation. Back the Angels once again at Yankee stadium to take the second game.

The Dodgers last ten games have cast doubt as they are just 3-7. Yet, yesterday they finally showed some life at the plate. Freddie Freeman went deep twice and the Dodgers scored six runs. Expect the Dodgers to get some runs off of Mets pitcher Tylor Megill who has benefitted from a pitcher friendly schedule to begin the season. Additionally, Clayton Kershaw will have proper command against a Mets team that ranks 28th in batting average at .227.

The Dodgers figure to break out of their offensive rut at the plate tonight against the Mets. New York’s David Peterson has a WHIP of 1.84 and an ERA of 4.91. The Dodgers may have an effective inning or two at the plate but the Mets should counter. They are hitting the ball well as a team with close to a six run average over their last three series. Take the Mets to push the Dodgers below .500.

Monday, the Marlins will look to bounce back from a shutout loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks, in which their top ace in Sandy Alcantara lost once again. Although the Marlins are the worst in MLB with only forty nine total runs, they have been able to manufacture runs when needed. They’ll get the upper hand over the Giants who are tied for the fewest wins in the NL.
