The Seahawks out-gained New Orleans 514-265 in total yards last week, and still managed to give up 33 points in a loss. Andy Dalton threw for over 400 yards against them in Week 1, and almost pulled off the upset. It’s fair to say that this Seattle defense has dropped off quite a bit since they last appeared in a Super Bowl in 2015.
Arizona isn’t exactly shutting down opponents either, allowing over 29 points per game. The Carolina Panthers aren’t exactly an offensive juggernaut, and last week they scored a whopping 38 points in Arizona with their backup quarterback under center. When the Cardinals have the ball, Kliff Kingsbury’s offense moves fast, and is twice as likely to pass as it is to run.
The Seahawks have gone over the total in five consecutive road games, and the over is 5-0 in their last five versus teams with a losing record. I expect to see plenty of scoring in this rivalry game.
