Syracuse vs Duke Free NCAAB Pick March 14, 2019

So the Blue Devils are expecting Zion Williamson back today, but there is no official word yet. We don’t know how many minutes we can expect him to play in his first game back (if he does play). It appears that bookmakers are expecting Duke to roll, as the Blue Devils are listed as a double digit favorite. I am sure I don’t have to remind anyone that when Zion scored 35 points at home versus Syracuse earlier in the year, it wasn’t enough to avoid a 95-91 overtime loss. Even when Duke avenged that loss with a 75-65 win at Syracuse, the final score in that game was misleading. Duke trailed at halftime, and didn’t take the lead until midway through the second half. The game was close right down to the final minutes, and Duke never lead by double digits until the final two free throws of the game. Both these teams will be missing key players, center Marques Bolden is out for Duke, and guard Tyus Battle is out for Syracuse. Buddy Boeheim stepped in for Battle and lead all scorers with 20 points in the win over Pittsburgh yesterday. I’ll take the points.
