Preview

The Sooners only lost one game in the 2015 regular season, and that was a 24-17 defeat at Texas. They will get a chance to avenge that loss here in the latest edition of the Red River Rivalry in Dallas Saturday. Both teams are 2-2, and neither team has looked sharp defensively. The Sooners though are asked to cover a double-digit spread here at the Cotton Bowl. The opening line was Oklahoma -7, but the money has been pouring in on the Sooners driving the number up as high as 11.5 at some books. The history seems to favor the Longhorns, who have managed to cover the spread in seven of the last 11 meetings. According to Covers.com Consensus Analysis, 68 percent of bettors like the total to go over.  The Sooners scored 52 points at TCU last week, running for 260 yards and five TDs. They also allowed the Horned Frogs to score 46 points on over 500 yards of total offense. Texas has given up a total of 99 points the last two weeks.
