He had only surrendered three runs in his previous six starts, and he’s 2-0 with a 0.69 ERA in two starts on the road this year.
The Indians hand the ball to Josh Tomlin, who is coming off his best start of the season. Tomlin (2-3, 7.12 ERA) allowed just one run on three hits over seven innings in a 3-1 win at Kansas City his last time out. The Twins have hit him hard in the past, with the current lineup batting .303 with four home runs and 13 RBIs in 109 at bats against him.
The Twins are 5-0 in their last five road games versus a right-handed starter.
