Preview
This will be a big game for both teams, as USC looks to salvage it’s season after losing twice in the first three weeks, while Utah will seek revenge for last year’s loss in California. The Utes were a three point underdog in last year’s game, despite a 6-0 record and a #3 overall ranking. The bookmakers proved to be correct, as the Trojans went on to win easily by a score of 42-24. Utah is a three-point favorite this time around, and according to Covers.com Consensus Analysis 67 percent of the public is backing the home team. The Trojans are making a change at quarterback after Max Browne threw for under 500 yards with two TDs and a pair of interceptions while starting the last three games. Sam Darnold will step in, but he faces a Utes defense that ranks top 10 nationally. Darnold was 5-of-7 for 45 yards against the Cardinal last week, but one of his misses was an interception. Given the history between these two conference rivals, another close, low scoring game should be expected.
