White Sox vs Mariners MLB Free Pick May 21, 2017

The Sox crushed Seattle by a score of 16-1 on Saturday, and I like their chances of winning again in a matinee at Safeco on Sunday.

Derek Holland will toe the slab for the Sox, and he’s having a strong season so far. Holland (3-3, 2.70 ERA) allowed three runs on seven hits, striking out five in six innings in a no decision versus the Angels his last time out. He’s 2-1 with a 2.47 ERA on the road, and 2-0 with a 1.89 ERA in day games in 2017.

The Mariners are expected to recall Chris Heston from Triple-A, where he posted a 2-1 record with a 3.41 ERA in six starts. He was rocked for five runs on seven hits in just two innings in his only appearance in the majors this season.

The Mariners are batting just .214 versus left-handed pitching, ranking dead last in the American League.
