Taking ARIZONA STATE. Line coming down as QB Leavitt looks to be suiting up. We had Sun Evils last week in Utah and thought we had a good number. Until Leavitt doesn't suit up and we our +3/4 is out the window as 9s pop and Utah blows their doors off 42-10. But he's back and we are alive here. Texas Tech having a great season. 6-0 SU/ 5-1 ATS rolling along. We had them last, yes. They are good. 2nd highest spenders of NIL and probably 2nd hottest team in the last after Indiana, but I think the Sun Devils can knock them off here. Taking MISSISSIPPI STATE. Way too many points for Florida to be laying here. Bulldogs have a decent defense. Who the heck are the Gators to be a favorite like this? And MSU off their bye week, while the Florida loses again. I think we can win this one outright today. The Swamp isn't scary for teams. I think Napier is getting canned after this year anyway. Taking TEXAS STATE. Marshall dropped 48 last week over Old Dom with the help of 5 turnovers in a 48-24 win as 14 point dogs. Week before that 54-51 loser to ULL. They have won 3 of their last 4 putting up 48-54-42-38 in those games. Texas State comes in with 2 straight losses 48-41 (-7.5) and 31-30 (-13.5).  So 5 TOs (3 fumbles 2 INTs vs OD)  ULL tossed 2 INTs. Mid Tenny gave you a Pick and EKY gave you 2 more INTs. Forcing 10 TOs will make you look pretty good. 7 INTs. Nice. Well Texas State is going to maul you on the ground.  Jackson/Pare for 249 last week. 236 the week before. Taking ULM. Listen. Back to back OT wins for Troy. Add in 21 points in the 4th at Buffalo and you have won 3 games, 2 on the road, in dramatic fashion. Now have to go win, on the road again, by a touchdown? Come on. 4* Money Maker UL MONROE

Taking NEW MEXICO. Nevada got thumped by San Diego State last week 44-10. Now 4 straight losses. Only win on 1-5 year is over Sacramento State. 20-17 at 7.5 favorites. 3 QBs rotations mean if you have 3 QBs you really have none.  Lobos home off b2b road losses at Boise + San Jose. Last time taking the field they rolled up New Mexico State  38-20 here. They did win AT UCLA 35-10 and took care of Idaho State 32-22. Opening up at Michigan losing 34-17 doesn't look all that bad either.  10-17-16-13-11 Those are the points scored for the Wolfpack this year other than that 20-17 win. I have New Mexico putting up at least 30 here. Nevada isn't covering. Taking ALABAMA. Time for a little revenge for last years road loss. Ty Simpson 16TDs 1 INT is going to pick this Vols defense apart. 31 allowed at home to Arkansas. 34 to Mississippi State. 41 to Georgia at home. Syracuse scored 26 vs them in Knoxville. Taking PURDUE. Oh my goodness. Northwestern in off a huge win upsetting Penn State on the road as point underdog. Just on principle I was backing the Boilermakers. Last years trash Purdue team went to OT with these guys. I am thinking outright winner this time around. Purdue has dropped 4 in a row, yes. But they have been putting points on the board vs much better teams. I like Barry Odom. They let one slip away with some turnovers last week in Minny. Defense show up for them when conference plays rolls around. 7-14-3-12-9-7-21-7-20-14-30 (Toledo) We take out that 30 piece by Toledo and we are looking at 114 points in 10 games. That is 11.4ppg in conference play. EMU lost to LIU 28-23. Gave up 48 in Kentucky. Lost 31-30 at Buffalo and 24-13 at CMU. Now face a better team who beat them 38-14 last year. I look for something close to that today. This is a hefty line for a team that is averaging just 23 points a game. Yet, the line continues to climb as I see some 13.5s. 14 would be my limit here. 4* Money Maker MIAMI OHIO
