Life without Brady wasn’t so bad for New England who went 3-1 in his absence. Garappolo was tested the very first game and led them to a victory against Arizona on the road. They won their next two games before suffering their first loss of the season last week versus Buffalo. Even when Garoppalo was hurt 3rd string quarterback Jacoby Brissett filled in against a tough defensive Houston club but the Patriots won with defense and forced TO’s. They couldn’t solve Buffalo’s defense and had just 13 first downs all game. Cleveland has blown leads in three of their four losses, and it’s defense has allowed a whopping 28.8 points per game. They used three different starting QB’s in three different games but had the same result. They gave up 14 points in the fourth quarter in last week’s loss to Washington, and they committed three turnovers in the game. It’s not surprising that with the return of Brady, the public is lining up to bet on the Patriots. The bookmakers have adjusted the line several points since it opened, but According to Covers.com Consensus Analysis 65 % of bettors are backing New England, and roughly the same are betting over 46.5.
