Oilers vs Sharks Free Pick February 27, 2018
The Edmonton Oilers come into San Jose as winners of three straight, and four of their last five overall. Their recent success is a bit dubious though, coming off a pair of extremely lucky wins. They gave up two goals in the final minute at LA, only two have the game tying goal overturned by a (2nd) video review. They then conceded two goals in the final 21 seconds (you can’t make this sh#t up) at Anaheim, but held on to win in shootout. Their luck has got to run out here in the final game of this three game road trip, against a Sharks team that can’t afford to leave any points on the table. The Sharks are only two points ahead of the Flames, who occupy the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. Special teams could play a big role in this game, and that’s good news for the home team. The Sharks are the best in the league on the penalty kill, and not far off the top when it comes to the power play. The Oilers were shipping off talent at the trade deadline, while the Sharks made a splash acquiring Evander Kane. The controversial forward is expected to make his debut at the Shark Tank tonight.
Take SJS.
