03-13-21 | Georgetown +8.5 v. Creighton | Top | 73-48 | Win | 100 | 6 h 29 m | Show |
Georgetown is the Cinderella team of the Big East Conference Tourney. The Hoyas finished the regular season just 8-13 S/U but have won three straight tourney games over Marquette, Villanova and last night over Seton Hall. They have covered three straight games and six of their last eight games. Their only chance to punch their ticket to the NCAA tournament and likely kill their opponents, is a win tonight over Creighton. The Blue Jays opened with a win over Butler, 87-56, before having to battle all night last night and take a close one vs U Conn, 59-56. I am taking the big points tonight with the Hoyas and hope that Creighton doesn't give much thought to them. Play Georgetown.
03-13-21 | Utah State +2 v. San Diego State | 57-68 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 58 m | Show
Mountain West Championship game from Las Vegas, NV has Utah State taking on San Diego State. No surprise here as the two best in the conference play for the right to advance to the NCAA tourney. Utah State Aggies had wins on Thursday over UNLV, 74-53 and then last night over Colorado State, 62-50. Their defense has been very good, allowing fewer than 60-points in each of their last four games. San Diego State Aztecs opened with a narrow win over Wyoming, 69-66 as a 15-point favorite and then failed to cover again last night over Nevada, 77-70 as a 8-point favorite. The Aztecs have no failed to cover four straight games. Looks to be a good defensive battle tonight, but I'll take the points. Play Utah State.
03-12-21 | Colorado -1 v. USC | 72-70 | Win | 100 | 6 h 48 m | Show
Late PAC 12 semifinal action from Las Vegas has Colorado taking on USC. Colorado opened up PAC 12 tourney play with a win over California on Thursday night, 61-58 as a 14-point favorite. It was the team's fifth win in a row with three covers in the last four games. One of those wins was at home over USC, 80-62 as a 3.5-point favorite. USC had to go to Overtime last night to get past Utah, 91-85 as a 7.5 point favorite. The Trojans have won three straight, but covered just one of their last five games. Great matchup here late on Friday, but with USC having to go the extra time and then come back tonight, I'll take Colorado here tonight.
03-12-21 | Nevada +8 v. San Diego State | 70-77 | Win | 100 | 4 h 49 m | Show
Mountain West Semifinal action here on Friday night from Las Vegas has Nevada taking on San Diego State. Nevada finished the season 15-9 S/U and 18-6 ATS. They got the upset win last night over Boise State, 89-82, as a 4.5-point dog. It was the team's sixth win in their last eight games and ninth cover in the last eight games. San Diego State is the conference favorite to win the crown. They were 20-4 S/U during the season with a 13-11 ATS mark. They had a tough time last night with Wyoming, barely getting by the Cowboys 69-66 as a 15-point favorite. It was the team's 12th win in a row. However, they have failed to cover the last three games. They beat Nevada twice this year, 65-60 and 69-67, failing to cover both games as double digit chalks. I like the points again here tonight. Play Nevada.
03-12-21 | Connecticut +1 v. Creighton | 56-59 | Loss | -103 | 7 h 49 m | Show
Big East Conference Semifinals from New York City here on Friday have U Conn taking on Creighton. U Conn Huskies opened with a resounding victory last night over Depaul, 94-60, easily covering the 12.5-point favorite line. The Huskies are in fine form at the right time, winning five straight games both S/U and ATS. Creighton also opened tourney play with a nice win over Butler on Thursday, 87-56. They have won two of their last four games both S/U and ATS. While Creighton has taken both previous games against U Conn, this seems to be a much improve Huskies club. I'll take the Huskies here today. Play U Conn.
03-12-21 | Ohio State v. Purdue +1 | 87-78 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 17 m | Show
Early Big 10 Conference play here today at Indianapolis has Ohio State taking on Purdue. The Ohio State Buckeyes opened Big 10 tourney play with a win over Minnesota, 79-75 as a 11-point favorite. The Buckeyes snapped a four-game losing streak. They have also failed to cover the spread in five straight games. They lost at home to Purdue back in mid-January, 65-67 as a 5.5-point favorite. Purdue got a bye in the opening round of play. They have had six days rest to get ready for this game. The Boilermakers have won five straight games both S/U and against the spread. I'm taking Purdue here today as a 1-point dog since they are playing so well and Ohio State hasn't been in good form. Play Purdue.

03-10-21 | Duke -2 v. Louisville | 70-56 | Win | 100 | 12 h 26 m | Show
Duke looked like the Duke of old yesterday as they demolished the Boston College Eagles, 86-51 in the opening round of the ACC tournament. Duke has had a rough year at just 12-11 S/U and 8-15 ATS. The Blue Devils snapped a three-game losing streak with that win, both S/U and ATS. Though Tuesday's game went Under, no thanks to BC, the Devils have still seen six of their last seven go over and nine of their last 11. Louisville plays their first tourney game today. They were 12-6 S/U and 9-9 ATS on the regular season. The Cardinals lost their last game at home to Virginia, 58-68. Louisville took both games from Duke this year. They won 70-65 at home as a 2-point favorite and then won at Duke, 80-73 in OT as a 5.5-point dog at the end of February. This will only be Louisville's 2nd game in March so could be some rust here for the Cardinal. I don't believe the Cardinals can beat Duke three times in one season. I'll lay the small number with the Blue Devils. Play Duke.

They are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games. TX SA has won eight of their last 10 games S/U and are 7-2-1 ATS in those last 10. San Antonio laying just five points here today looks really good to me. Play Texas San Antonio.

Metro Atlantic Athletic Quarterfinals from Atlantic City, NJ has Iona taking on Siena. Iona is 9-5 S/U and ATS. They opened with a win yesterday in the opening round over Quinnipiac, 72-48 as a 7-point favorite. It was their third win in a row and seventh of their last eight games. They are also 7-1 ATS during that time. Siena is 12-4 S/U and 7-9 ATS. They are coming off a loss to Canisius, 75-76. They have covered just two of their last six games. Recent form has Iona playing the better ball with a 3-1 ATS record vs 2-2 for Siena. In fact, the last eight games favor Iona. All my numbers have Siena a decent favorite here today. Play Iona. |
