03-20-19 | Arizona State -1.5 v. St. John's | 74-65 | Win | 100 | 10 h 3 m | Show
NCAA 1st Round action play-in game has Arizona State taking on St Johns. ASU finished with a 22-10 S/U record and lost to Oregon in the PAC-12 Tourney, 75-79 in OT. The Sun Devils played the Pac-12 Champion very well and could have won that game. They have covered three of the last four games and are 5-3 ATS their last eight games. St Johns ended with a 21-12 S/U on the season. The Red Storm lost in the Big East tourney to Marquette, 54-86. They lost four of their last five games to finish the season both S/U and ATS. The Red Storm was 2-5 ATS their last seven games. St Johns is also 0-5 ATS their last five times in the NCAA tournament and 5-11 ATS their last 16 on a neutral court. ASU just the better team at this point in the season. Take Arizona State.
03-20-19 | Butler v. Nebraska -5 | 76-80 | Loss | -115 | 44 h 36 m | Show
NIT first round action has Butler playing at Nebraska. The Bulldogs of Butler went out in their opening Big East tourney game, losing big to Providence, 57-80. The Bulldogs have not done well at just 16-16 on the season. They have also gone just 1-5 ATS over their last six games. They are also 9-23 ATS in their last 32 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven non-conference games. Nebraska is 18-16 S/U and 15-16 ATS on the season. The Cornhuskers won their first two Big 10 games beating Rutgers and Maryland before losing to Wisconsin, 62-66. They covered all three conference tourney games and their last four overall. Nebraska is 23-9 ATS over their last 32 games and 15-5-1 ATS their last 21 non-conference games. I like the host here today, play Nebraska.
03-19-19 | Dayton v. Colorado -4 | 73-78 | Win | 100 | 10 h 37 m | Show
NIT 1st Round action tonight has Colorado hosting Dayton. Dayton will be treated to the high altitude tonight in Boulder Co, something they may not have experienced much before. Dayton lost in their conference quarterfinals to St Louis, 55-64. Colorado lost in the PAC-12 tourney to Washington, 61-66. Dayton has only covered three of their last 10 vs a team with a win percentage of 60% or better. They are also 0-4 ATS in their last four non-conference games. Meanwhile, Colorado is 6-1 ATS at home in their last seven games. And, they are 8-2 ATS their last 10 games vs a team with a winning record. I don't see much motivation for Dayton here tonight. Plus the altitude should tire them out pretty quick. I'm taking the host, Colorado.
03-19-19 | Belmont v. Temple +3.5 | 81-70 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 52 m | Show
NCAA 1st Round Play-In action has Belmont taking on Temple today. Belmont had an excellent season in the Southern Conference, going 26-5, though they lost to Murray State in their tournament, 65-77. They only faced a couple of decent teams in non-conference plays, beating UCLA and losing to Purdue. The Bruins are just 2-5 ATS on neutral courts their last seven tries. They are also 2-5 ATS in their last 7 NCAA tournament games. Temple had a excellent season going 23-9 S/U. The Owls lost their first conference tourney game to Wichita State, 74-80. Still, the Owls do pretty good on neutral court sites, goign 14-6 ATS their last 20. Issue here is that we have Belmont from a small conference going against Temple that is used to playing much tougher competition. They had to play teams like Cincinnati, Houston and U Conn this year. Yet, Temple is a dog and that makes no sense to me. I'm taking Temple and looking for an outright Owls win. Take Temple.
03-17-19 | Michigan +1 v. Michigan State | 60-65 | Loss | -109 | 13 h 26 m | Show
Big 10 Championship today and it should be a good one as No 10 Michigan takes on No 6 Michigan State. No doubt both these teams are heading to the NCAA tourament, but the liekly winner of this game should garner a No 1 seed in the NCAA tourney. Michigan had little trouble with Minnesota on Saturday, trouncing the Gophers from the opening tip and easily winning 76-49 as a 9-point favorite. The Wolverines have covered both of their Big 10 tourney games and four of the last five games. They are also 8-4 ATS their last 12 games. The Wolverines have been a great neutral site team, going 40-18-4 ATS their last 62 times. They are also 24-9-1 ATS their last 34 games vs a team with a winning percentage above 60%. The Michigan State Spartans also had an easy time on Saturday, cruising to a 67-55 win over Wisconsin as a 5.5-point favorite. Unlike their intrastate rivals, the Spartans are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 neutral site games. The Spartans are only a 1-point favorite here and I am going to take the Wolverines in this one. Take Michigan.
03-17-19 | Cincinnati v. Houston -4 | Top | 69-57 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 8 m | Show |
American Athletic Championship here from Memphis, TN as Cincinnati takes on Houston. Both of these teams will be going to the NCAA tourney, but a higher seed is at stake here today. The Cincinnati Bearcats are 27-6 on the season after beating Southern Miss and Wichita State in the tourney. Unfortunately the Bearcats are not a good covering team, evidenced by their 1-8-1 ATS mark their last 10 games. Meanwhile, Houston is 31-2 on the season and 20-11 ATS. The Cougars crushed a decent U Conn team to start the AAC tourney, 84-45 and then narrowly got by the host team Memphis, 61-58 yesterday. unlike Cincy, the Cougars are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 neutral site games and 10-4 ATS their last 14 against a team with a winning percentage above 60%. Houston has covered the last four in this series and I expect that again here on Sunday. Play Houston.
03-16-19 | Florida State +8 v. Duke | Top | 63-73 | Loss | -103 | 9 h 41 m | Show |
ACC Championship game here late this evening has Florida State and Duke squaring-off. Both these clubs will make the NCAA tournament, but Duke can pretty much assure themselves a #1 seed with a win tonight. Florida State might have something to say about that. The Seminoles are now 27-6 S/U on the season. They have won and covered both their ACC tourney games, including yesterday's win over a very good Virginia team, 69-59. The Seminoles were a 9-point dog to Virginia and scored one of the big upsets of the tourney thus far. FSU is now 8-1-2 ATS in their last 11 neutral site games. Meanwhile, Duke just got past North Carolina yesterday, 74-73 as a 4-point favorite. The Tarheels failed to cover the spread. They are 0-3-1 ATS their last four games. Florida State has covered its last four games against Duke. The 8-points FSU is getting looks awfully good to me right now. I'm taking Florida State in a low scoring, close game.
03-16-19 | Seton Hall +4.5 v. Villanova | 72-74 | Win | 100 | 7 h 44 m | Show
Big East Conference Championship here today. Seton Hall would like to win to assure themselves a spot in the NCAA tournament, while Villanova likely to go either way. Seton Hall has won it's two tourney games thus far with wins over Georgetown and Marquette. The Pirates have also covered four in a row now. Seton Hall also does well on neutral sites, evidenced by their 18-7-1 ATS mark their last 26 times on the court. Villanova is also 2-0 in tourney play with wins over Providence and then yesterday's OT win over Xavier, 71-67. Have to wonder if the Cats aren't a bit gassed for this one after playing two straight days plus an OT yesterday. Seton Hall getting 4.5-points here plus likely has a bit more motivation to win this game than Villanova does. I'm taking Seton Hall plus the points.
03-16-19 | Minnesota +9.5 v. Michigan | 49-76 | Loss | -106 | 4 h 37 m | Show
: Both of these clubs heading to the NCAA tournament. Minnesota is 21-12 S/U and 18-15 ATS on the season. They have opening Big 10 tourney wins over Penn State, 77-72 in OT and Purdue yesterday, 75-73 as a 10-point dog upset. The Gophers have covered four of their last five games. Michigan won't be a #1 seed in the tourney, but should be ranked high. The Wolverines opened their tourney with a win over Iowa yesterday, 74-53 as a 7.5-point favorite. Michigan is laying 9-points here today to the Gophers. Michigan the better team, but this Gopher team has already pulled one upset. I look for them to keep this game close. Play Minnesota.
03-16-19 | Wisconsin v. Michigan State -5 | 55-67 | Win | 100 | 1 h 13 m | Show
Two Big 10 clubs heading to the NCAA tourney meet here today as No 19 Wisconsin meets No 6 Michigan State. Wisconsin didn't have an easy time yesterday, just getting by Nebraska 66-62 as a 8-point favorite. The Badgers are now 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games (all Big 10). The Spartans improved to 26-6 yesterday with an opening win over Ohio State, 77-70. Michigan State a likely #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. The Spartans have covered six of their last nine games. They are also 15-6 ATS in their last 21 Big 10 games and 18-5 ATS their last 23 vs a team with a winning straight up record. Michigan State is 11-5 ATS vs the Badgers the last 16 meetings. Take Michigan State here today.
03-15-19 | Fresno State +4 v. Utah State | 60-85 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 25 m | Show
Mountain West Semifinals here have Fresno State taking on Utah State. Fresno improved to 23-8 S/U after their straight-up win and cover in game one of the tourney over Air Force, 76-50. The Bulldogs are a very good covering team at 20-10 ATS overall this year. In addition, they are 4-0 on a neutral site and 4-1 ATS in their last five games. Utah State improved to 26-6 S/U and 15-14 ATS with their win yesterday over New Mexico, 91-83. They did fail to cover though, their second failure in a row. The Aggies are only 2-5 ATS their last seven against a team that wins 60% or more of it's games. They are also just 3-7 ATS their last 10 against a team with a winning straight up record. Two very good teams here, but Fresno just covers too well to pass on the points. Take Fresno State.
03-15-19 | Duke -3 v. North Carolina | 74-73 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 27 m | Show
Two longtime rivals meet here in the ACC Semfinals. No 5 Duke is now 27-5 S/U and 18-14 ATS after their opening tourney win over Syracuse, 84-72. No 3 ranked North Carolina is also 27-5 S/U and 21-10 ATS on the season. The Tarheels opened tourney play with a win over Louisville, 83-70. These clubs met twice previously this year with NCU taking both over the Blue Devils. That's difficult enough, but now you are asking NCU to take three over one of the best teams in the country. There is a reason that Duke is a small favorite here and I have to agree. Take Duke to get some payback here tonight. Play Duke.
03-15-19 | Florida State v. Virginia -8.5 | 69-59 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 46 m | Show
It's a meeting of two ranked teams here in the ACC conference tournament as No 13 Florida State takes on No 2 Virginia. Florida State played an OT game yesterday in their first conf tourney playoff, beating Virginia Tech 65-63 as a 1-point favorite. The Seminoles have now covered two of their last three, but are only 2-4 ATS their last six. Virginia is one of the best if not the best defensive team in basketball. The Cavaliers are 29-2 S/U and 22-8 on the season. The Cavs opened with a 76-56 win over NC State yesterday as 11.5-point favorite. The Cavs have now covered six of their last seven games. In addition, both of the Cavs losses this year have both come to Duke. Virginia is 25-10-1 ATS their last 36 conference games and 43-17-1 ATS their last 61 overall games. Don't look for FSU to get a lot of points here against this stingy Cavs defense. I'm going to lay the points here with the Cavs as they have been covering consistently. Play Virginia.
03-15-19 | Nebraska v. Wisconsin -8 | Top | 62-66 | Loss | -109 | 2 h 11 m | Show |
Big 10 Conference Quarters here have Nebraska taking on Wisconsin. Nebraska opened this conference with a pair of win. First they beat Rutgers 68-61 and then yesterday defeated Maryland 69-61, covering both games. In fact, they have now covered their last three games. Wisconsin is 22-9 on the season and 17-13 ATS. The Badgers are well rested coming into this game as they have had four days off to prepare. Compare that to the Huskers who are playing their third game in three nights. It's tough for some of these teams playing all these games in a row without any time off. Not so for Wisconsin and like a well rested team against a tired team. That's what we have here tonight. Take Wisconsin.
03-14-19 | Texas v. Kansas -2.5 | Top | 57-65 | Win | 100 | 12 h 35 m | Show |
Big 12 Conference quarterfinals from Kansas City, MO has Texas taking on Kansas. Texas finished the regular season at 16-15 S/U and 15-16 ATS. Texas has lost two straight and four of their last five games. They also have failed to cover their last two games. Kansas will make the NCAA either way with their 23-8 S/U record. The Jayhawks were only 14-17 ATS on the season. They did cover five of their last eight games though. These teams split the two games on the season. However, I like Kansas here tonight laying a small number of 2.5 or 3-points. Take 17th ranked Kansas tonight.
03-14-19 | Georgetown v. Seton Hall -2.5 | 57-73 | Win | 100 | 11 h 26 m | Show
Big East quarterfinals tonight has Georgetown taking on Seton Hall. Georgetown is 19-12 S/U and 13-17 ATS on the season. The Hoyas have won three of their last four games both S/U and ATS. Georgetown beat Seton Hall in their one matchup this season, an OT win at home 77-71. Seton Hall is 17-13 S/U and 12-17 ATS on the season. The Pirates have won and covered their last two games. They have also covered six of their last nine games. I'm laying the 2.5 points here tonight with Seton Hall. Play Seton Hall.
03-14-19 | Penn State -2.5 v. Minnesota | 72-77 | Loss | -109 | 20 h 16 m | Show
Big 10 Second round action as Penn State takes on Minnesota. The Nittany Lions were 14-17 S/U and 15-14 ATS on the season. The Lions finished the season strong, winning five of their last six games and going 8-1-1 ATS their last 10 games. Penn State also does well on neutral courts, going 18-7-2 ATS their last27 games. Meanwhile, Minnesota does not do well against losing teams, evidenced by their 6-21 ATS mark the last 27 times they have faced a team with a losing straight up record. Minnesota is 19-12 S/U and 16-15 ATS on the season. They have been slumping though, going 3-7 S/U their last 10 and 4-5 ATS their last nine. Penn State is a hot team and those are the teams I like to ride into these touney's. Play Penn State on Thursday.
03-14-19 | Alabama v. Ole Miss -2.5 | 62-57 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 46 m | Show
SEC Second Round action from Nashville, TN has Alabama and Ole Miss facing off. Alabama is 17-14 S/U and 12-17 ATS. The Crimson Tide are 0-3 S/U and ATS their last three. They Tide are also 1-7 ATS their last eight games. Ole Miss needs some wins in this tourney since they look to be a bubble team with a 20-11 S/U mark. The Rebels had a good year vs the number too at 22-9 ATS. Ole Miss has covered four straight and seven of their last nine games. Ole Miss needs wins and this is the team they should be able to handle quite easily. Play Mississippi.
03-14-19 | Indiana -2 v. Ohio State | 75-79 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 15 m | Show
Big 10 Tourney Second Round action has Indiana vs Ohio State. The Hoosiers bring a four game win streak into today's game. They also have covered six straight games. Indiana lost its one game vs the Buckeyes this year, a 52-55 home setback as a 2-point favorite. Ohio State was 18-13 S/U on the season but just 12-19 vs the spread. The Buckeyes have lost their last three, both S/U and ATS. They are also just 3-7 ATS their last 10 games. This is an early start here on Thursday and I'm going to lay short points with Indiana. Play Indiana.
03-13-19 | Georgia v. Missouri -3.5 | Top | 61-71 | Win | 100 | 3 h 44 m | Show |
SEC Tourney first round action has Georgia and Missouri facing off here tonight. Georgia having a terrible season with just a 11-20 record and 15-14 spread mark. The Bulldogs have won just once in their last 12 games and that was at Florida in early March, 61-55. The dogs are off a blowout loss at South Carolina, 46-66. It was the second bad scoring game in a row as they scored just 39 points the game before at home vs Missouri. Missouri held this Bulldog team to just 39 last week in a 64-39 victory. The Tigers are 14-16 S/U and 13-15 ATS on the season. The Tigers are 9-2-2 ATS in their last 123 games against a team winning 40% or fewer of their games. They are also 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games vs a team with a losing record. Neither of these teams are all that good, but Missouri knows they can easily beat this team and that should happen again here tonight. Play Missouri.
03-13-19 | Nebraska v. Rutgers +1 | 68-61 | Loss | -109 | 2 h 19 m | Show
Big 10 first round action has Nebraska and Rutgers facing off. Nebraska is 16-15 S/U and 12-16 ATS. The Huskers are just 3-11 ATS their last 14 games. They are also 3-7 ATS their last 10 neutral site games. Rutgers has a losing straight-up record at 14-16, but they are better vs the number at 16-13 ATS. The Scarlet Knights failed to cover their last game, but they are 7-1 ATS their last eight overall. These are not teams that will be playing in the NCAA, but I do like Rutgers here today. Play Rutgers.
03-13-19 | Miami-FL v. Virginia Tech -7.5 | 56-71 | Win | 100 | 2 h 19 m | Show
ACC Second round action here early on Wednesday has Miami Florida vs Virginia Tech. Miami has not had a good year at just 15-16 S/U and 13-17 ATS on the season. The Hurricanes have lost three of their last five games both S/U and ATS. The Canes are 6-13 ATS their last 19 games vs a team with a winning straight up record. They are also 0-3-1 ATS their last four games on a neutral site. Virginia Tech should make the NCAA tourney despite what happens in the ACC tourney as they have a 23-7 record on the season. The Hokies have done well against losing teams, evidenced by their 15-5-1 ATS mark their last 21 vs teams with losing records. Tech has covered seven of the last eight against Miami in this series. Take Virginia Tech and lay the points here today.
03-12-19 | Northern Kentucky v. Wright State | Top | 77-66 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 37 m | Show |
It's the Horizon League Championship with the winner getting the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament and the loser likely going to the NIT. Northern Kentucky had the slightly better year at 25-8 S/U but just 12-19 ATS. The Norse are just 1-6 ATS their last seven games and 3-11 ATS their last 14 games against a team with a winning straight up record. The Norse just got by Oakland yesterday, winning 64-63 as a 5.5-point favorite. Wright State came on strong to finish the season, winning nine of their last 10 games and 13 of their last 15. They have also covered two straight and eight of their last 10 games. They beat Northern Kentucky back on February 15, 81-77 but lost to them back on Jan 11, 64-68. This game basically a pick'em right now, which tells you that Wright State getting the edge here against a team with more wins - at least by the oddsmakers. I like Wright State. They are hot and covering spreads. Play Wright State.
03-12-19 | Notre Dame v. Georgia Tech +2 | 78-71 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 8 m | Show
Atlantic Coast First round Tourney action has Notre Dame and Georgia Tech matching up here in Charlotte. Down year for the Irish, as not only will they finish well below .500, but they have lost seven straight games and have just a 4-4 ATS mark their last eight games. In addition, the Irish are just 6-13 ATS their last 19 games in the ACC and 1-10 ATS their last 11 vs a team with a losing straight-up record. Georgia Tech is 14-17 S/U on the season but doing a bit better vs the number at 18-12. The Yellow Jackets are 9-4 ATS on the road this year. Tech is also 5-2 ATS in their last seven neutral site games and 9-4 ATS their last 13 games against a team with a straight-up losing record. Georgia Tech has owned this series, going 11-1-1 ATS the last 13 meetings. I'm taking the Yellow Jackets here today. Play Georgia Tech.
03-11-19 | San Diego +5 v. St. Mary's | Top | 62-69 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 16 m | Show |
West Coast Semifinals here tonight have San Diego vs St Marys. Both these teams evenly matched this season with San Diego at 21-13 and St Marys at 20-11. San Diego Toreros have won three straight in the conference tourney against Portland, Santa Clara and then BYU. The Toreros had to play three games in a row before getting last night off to rest. They have also covered all three in this tournament. St Mary's is playing its first game in the tournament tonight and in fact hasn't played since March 2nd. That's a long layoff and I have to believe that too much time off can have some rust setting in. The Gaels are just 2-7 ATS in their last nine neutral site games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight West Coast conference games. I'm taking San Diego here tonight as I believe the long layoff will hurt St Marys. Play San Diego.
03-11-19 | Oakland +6 v. Northern Kentucky | 63-64 | Win | 100 | 8 h 21 m | Show
Horizon Conference Semifinals here on Monday has Oakland facing off against Northern Kentucky. The Oakland Golden Grizzlies are 16-16 S/U and 17-14 ATS on the season. The Grizzlies have covered four of their last five games and won their last five straight-up. The Grizzlies beat Northern Kentucky at home back on Jan 3rd and then lost at NKU on Feb 9th, 64-79. Northern Kentucky Norse are 24-8 S/U and 12-18 ATS on the season. As good as the Norse have been this year, they haven't done all that well covering spread. The Norse are just 1-5 ATS in their last six games and 3-7 ATS their last 10 games. Oakland has also covered five of the last seven in this series. I'm taking the points here today with Oakland.
03-10-19 | East Tennessee State v. Wofford -6 | Top | 72-81 | Win | 100 | 3 h 29 m | Show |
Southern Conference Semifinals here today has East Tennessee State taking on Wofford. ETS is 24-8 S/U and 17-11 ATS on the season. The Buccaneers have failed to cover their last three games and are 2-6 ATS their last eight games. Wofford is 27-4 S/U and 17-11 ATS on the season. The Terriers have won every conference game this season, a perfect 17-0 S/U. They have also covered five straight and nine of the last 10 games. The Terriers have covered five of the last six in this series. I like Wofford a lot here today. Play Woford.
03-10-19 | Delaware v. William & Mary -4.5 | 85-79 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 59 m | Show
Opening of the Colonial Athletic Association conference tourney here today has Delaware playing William & Mary. Delaware is 16-15 S/U and 12-15 ATS on the season. The Blue Hens are 0-4 ATS both S/U and ATS their last four games. In addition, they are 1-9-1 ATS their last 11 conference games and 0-7-1 ATS their last eight games following an ATS loss. William & Mary is 14-16 S/U and 12-16 ATS this season. However, they have won five straight and covered five of their last six games. They have also covered seven of the last nine. William & Mary is 7-1 ATS the last eight meetings with Delaware. I like the Tribe here again today. Play William & Mary.
03-09-19 | Tulsa v. Memphis -8 | 63-66 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 55 m | Show
American Athletic Conference action here today has Tulsa at Memphis. Last game of the regular season for both of these clubs. Tulsa has won two straight games after losing a pair. The Golden Hurricane is 2-3 ATS their last five and 6-7 ATS on the road this year. Tulsa is 18-12 overall and likely needs to win the conference tourney to make the NCAA. They are also 1-4 in their last five road games. The Tigers of Memphis are also 18-12 and likely in need of a tourney win or else they are NIT bound. The Tigers are 10-3 in their last 13 Saturday games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games. The home club has covered five of the last six in this series. In addition. The Tigers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 meetings with Tulsa at Memphis. I'm taking the home team here, play Memphis.
03-09-19 | Wichita State -9.5 v. Tulane | 82-79 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 55 m | Show
American Athletic final game of the regular season for Tulane who has just four wins and 25 losses. The Green Wave are also just 12-16 ATS on the season. Wichita State is 7-2 ATS their last nine games. The Shockers are also 9-3 ATS their last 12 games vs a team with a home record of .400 or less. Tulane is 11-27-2 ATS their last 40 at home vs a team with a losing road record. This one is a miss match as Wichita wins going away. Play Wichita State.
03-09-19 | Mercer v. Furman -10.5 | 74-85 | Win | 100 | 9 h 54 m | Show
Southern Conference Tourney matchup here has Mercer at Furman. Mercer not having a good season at 11-19 S/U and 12-15 ATS. The Mercer Bears are 0-4-1 ATS their last 5 overall and in conference. The Furman Paladins are having an excellent season at 24-6 S/U and 18-9 ATS. the Paladins are 8-1 ATS their last 9. In addition, they are 34-16-1 ATS their last 51 overall. Furman is 9-1-1 ATS the last 11 in this series and I look for another easy winner today. Play Furman.
03-09-19 | Northern Iowa v. Drake +1.5 | Top | 60-58 | Loss | -108 | 6 h 29 m | Show |
Missouri Valley Conference Tourney continues here on Saturday as both Northern Iowa and Drake advance. Northern Iowa beat Southern Illinois yesterday, 61-58 as a 3.5-point dog. The Peacocks snapped a two-game losing streak with the win. Drake had an easy opening win over Illinois State yesterday, 78-62 as a 2.5-point favorite. Drake has covered seven of its last eight games and 23 of 30 on the season. In addition they are 12-5 ATS on the road. This will be the third meeting this season between these clubs with each taking a game on their own home court. My own numbers make Drake closer to four or five point chalk here. West Coast Conference tournament action has Portland at San Diego. Portland and San Diego open the first round of tourney play here tonight. Portland likely is one and out here as they are a 0-16 S/U in conference play this year. The Pilots have covered four of their last five though. Now they face a good Toreros squad. The Toreros are 18-13 S/U and 16-14 ATS on the season. San Diego has to lay around 13-points here tonight. Portland won't win this game and I look for San Diego to cover this one going away. Play San Diego.
03-07-19 | SMU v. Houston -12.5 | Top | 79-90 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 31 m | Show |

American Athletic play has South Florida at Tulane. South Florida down to its last two games at 16-12 S/U and 16-10 ATS. Not likely South Florida is going to the NCAA without a conference tourney win. The Bulls have done well on the road, covering the last 11 of 13 away games. In addition, they are 14-4 ATS in their last 18 games after covering the previous game. Tulane having a horrible year with just four wins a 24 losses. In addition, they are just 11-16 ATS. The Green Wave have covered just two of their last seven games. They are also 10-27-2 ATS their last 39 home games against a team with a losing road record. However, they are just 2-4-1 ATS their last seven in conference. In addition, Auburn is just 4-8 ATS this season on the road. The Crimson Tide are 17-12 S/U and 12-15 ATS. The Tide likely would have to win the SEC tournament to advance to the NCAA with just a maximum of 19 wins in the regular season. Auburn is not a great road covering team and that's what I'm going against here tonight. Play Alabama.

Some bonus play tonight in Conference USA has Marshall playing at Louisiana Tech. Marshall is 14-13 S/U and just 7-18 ATS on the season. The Herd has lost four of their last five and seven of nine. They are on a terrible cover streak, going 0-10 ATS their last 10 and 2-13-1 ATS their last 16. Louisiana Tech is 18-10 S/U and 16-10 ATS on the season. The Rajin Cajuns have won three straight and four straight vs the number. This looks like a big mismatch as the host should not be very hospitable tonight. Play Louisiana Tech in a blowout.
02-28-19 | Texas State -5.5 v. Troy State | 58-44 | Win | 100 | 6 h 37 m | Show
Sun Belt conference matchup has one of their best in Texas State playing at Troy State. The Texas State Bobcats are 22-6 S/U and 14-10 ATS on the season. However, because this is a minor conference, you almost have to expect the Bobcats to win their conference or they won't make the NCAA. They conclude the regular season with three straight road games at Troy, South Alabama and Texas Arlington. The Cats are 18-7-1 ATS their last 26 road games. The Troy Trojans won't be going anywhere this postseason. They are just 11-15 S/U and 8-15 ATS. The Trojans have lost three straight both S/U and ATS. Big 10 clash here has Nebraska playing at No 9 Michigan. The Huskers might make a minor tourney but other than that, they are playing their last three regular season games. They face Michigan today, Michigan State and Iowa. The Huskers could easily lose all three and end up 15-16 on the season. Nebraska is just 2-9 ATS their last 11 vs the Big 10 and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games. Michigan is 24-4 S/U and 15-12 ATS on the season. The Wolverines are coming off a home loss to Michigan State, 70-77. Still, Michigan is 6-2 ATS the last eight home games and 35-15-1 ATS the last 51 Big 10 games. Michigan has covered five of the last 7 in this series and I expect that here tonight. Play Michigan.
02-27-19 | Florida -4 v. Vanderbilt | 71-55 | Win | 100 | 8 h 20 m | Show
SEC Matchup that finds Florida struggling to get a postseason bid. The Gators might not settle for a NIT or lesser tournament. The NCAA might be too far off for a team with a 16-11 record. The Gators have four games left, but with a road game at Kentucky, it looks like a tough road to 20. Still, the Gators should have little trouble with 9-18 Vandy here tonight. The Commodores are just 9-23 ATS in their last 32 home games and 2-12 ATS their last 14 after covering a game. The road team has covered seven of the last nine in this series and that's what I'm on here tonight. Play Florida.

Atlantic 10 action here has St Louis at VCU. St Louis is having a decent year and could break into the 20 win mark as they currently sit at 17-10 with four games left. However, unless they win their conference tourney it's highly unlikely the Bilikens will make the NCAA tournament. The Bilikens are also just 11-16 ATS on the season with a 4-8 ATS road mark. The VCU Rams look to be one of the elite in this conference and do look destined for a NCAA berth. The Rams are 21-6 S/U and 18-6 ATS on the season. In addition, the Rams are 9-3 ATS at home 10-1 ATS their last 11 vs the Atlantic 10 conference. I like the home team here this evening. Play VCU.

Oklahoma travels to No. 19 Iowa State for a Big 12 contest here on Monday. The Sooners have won two straight games and improved to 17-10. If the Sooners can win three of their last four games they can hit that magic 20 game win number. However, that will be tough with games at Iowa State and Kansas State. Oklahoma is now 17-7-3 ATS their last 23 games and 8-1-3 ATS their last 12 road games. Iowa State can hit that 20 game win number here tonight. The Cyclones are 19-8 S/U and 15-11 ATS on the season. Iowa State has lost two straight games coming into tonight, both S/U and ATS. The Cyclones are now 1-5 ATS their last six overall (all in Big 12). Oklahoma getting 9-points here tonight. That's a lot for a good Big 12 team. I'm taking the points with the road club. Play Oklahoma.

The Sooners do well off a ATS win, evidenced by their 12-3-1 AST their last 16 times in that situation. They are also 11-5 ATS in their last 16 home games and 17-6-3 ATS their last 26 overall. I will be on the home team here today, take Oklahoma.

Kentucky has two losses in conference, at Alabama and at home vs LSU a few games ago. Still, the Wildcats have covered nine of their last 10 in conference play. Missouri might go to the CIT or CBI if they want, but other than that the postseason looks out of touch for Missouri with their 12-12 record. The Tigers are also 3-5 ATS their last eight games. The favorite has covered seven of the last nine in this series and that's who I'm on tonight. Play Kentucky.
02-19-19 | Baylor v. Iowa State -8.5 | Top | 73-69 | Loss | -107 | 20 h 12 m | Show |
Both of these Big 12 teams have NCAA postseason aspirations. The reality is that likely just Iowa State will be going with Baylor likely heading to the NIT's. Baylor is 16-9 S/U on the season and 15-9 ATS. The Bears have lost three of their last four games both S/U and ATS. This is the second meeting between these clubs, with Baylor taking the first on their home court, 73-70. Iowa State is 19-6 and can get that 20th win here tonight. The Cyclones have won five of their last six conference games. They are also 11-5-2 ATS in their last 18 home games against a team with a losing road record. The home team has covered 18 of the last 24 in this series and Iowa State is 11-2 ATS the last 13 vs Baylor at home. Take Iowa State.
02-19-19 | Rhode Island v. VCU -8.5 | 42-76 | Win | 100 | 19 h 12 m | Show
Atlantic 10 Conference action tonight as Rhode Island takes on VCU. Rhode Island has lost five of their last six conference games both S/U and ATS and now sits at 12-12 and looks headed to a minor post season tournament. The Rams are also just 4-9 ATS on the road this season and 4-12 ATS their last 16 on the road dating back to last season. VCU is headed toward the NCAA's with a 19-6 S/U and 16-6 ATS mark and looks to win its 20th game of the season tonight. The VCU Rams are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games. The favorite has owned this series, covering the last eight. I like the favorite here again tonight. Play VCU.
02-17-19 | Arizona v. Colorado -4.5 | Top | 60-67 | Win | 100 | 10 h 43 m | Show |
PAC 12 action here this evening has 14-11 Arizona at 15-9 Colorado. The Arizona Wildcats look like they will miss the NCAA tournament the way they are playing. The Cats have lost six straight games both S/U and ATS. They have lost four of those on the road, all by 7-points or more. Meanwhile, the Colorado Buffaloes have won and covered their last four games. Moreover, the Buffs are 12-4 ATS their last 16 at home vs a team with losing road record. The home team has covered four of the last five in this series. Buffs will cover here tonight. Play Colorado.
02-17-19 | Villanova -4 v. St. John's | 65-71 | Loss | -107 | 7 h 47 m | Show
A Big East flash today between two teams likely headed to the NCAA tournament soon. The Villanova Wildcats are 20-5 S/U and 16-7 ATS. The Cats have lost just once in conference play and that came eight days ago at Marquette, 65-66. Still, Nova is 7-1-1 ATS their last nine games. St John's came out and started the season with a 12-0 record. However, they have fallen on some hard times once they got to conference play, going 6-7 S/U in the Big East. Villanova does well vs good teams, going 40-14 ATS their last 54 games against a winning team. They are also 8-1 ATS their last nine in the Big East. Nova is the better team here today and I'll lay the 4-points on the road with the Cats. Play Villanova.
02-16-19 | Nevada -21.5 v. Wyoming | 82-49 | Win | 100 | 10 h 36 m | Show
The No 7 ranked Nevada Wolfpack has lost just one time all season, and that was at New Mexico back on Jan 5th, 58-85. The Pack has since won nine straight and covered five straight games. The Pack improved to 15-7 ATS on the season and 7-4 ATS on the road. Wyoming is not a good team and won't likely be playing past the last regular season game. The Cowboys are just 6-18 S/U and 7-16 ATS on the season. That includes covering three of 11 home games this season. Big mismatch here as Nevada should roll easily over the Cowboys. Play Nevada.
02-16-19 | Gonzaga -15.5 v. San Diego | Top | 79-67 | Loss | -111 | 10 h 36 m | Show |
West Coast Conference late Saturday action has No 3 ranked Gonzaga playing at San Diego. The Gonzaga Zags are 24-2 S/U and 18-8 ATS on the season. The Zags have pretty much had little competition in the West Coast Conference as they are a perfect 11-0 S/U and 7-4 ATS. San Diego has lost two straight both S/U and ATS coming into this game. The Toreros lost at Pepperdine and then last game at home in OT to BYU, 82-88. Little doubt that the Zags will win here tonight. And, with their next game not until the 21st, Gonzaga has plenty of time to rest. Look for a top effort here from Gonzaga. Take Gonzaga.
02-16-19 | DePaul +6.5 v. Butler | 78-91 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 40 m | Show
Big East clash here today between Depaul and Butler. Depaul Blue Demons are 13-10 S/U and 11-10 ATS on the season. They are also 5-2 ATS on the road. The Blue Demons have covered five of their last six on the road. Butler is 14-11 S/U and 10-14 ATS on the season. They have a losing spread record at home, just 5-8 ATS. In fact, the Bulldogs have covered just one of their last six games. The road team is 7-3-1 ATS the last 11 meetings. Depaul is also 3-1-1 ATS their last five trips to Butler. I'm taking the road team here today. Play Depaul.
02-16-19 | Maryland +7.5 v. Michigan | 52-65 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 52 m | Show
Two ranked Big 10 teams meet here on Saturday as No 6 Michigan hosts No 24 Maryland. The Maryland Terps are 19-6 S/U and 15-10 ATS on the season and have won and covered their last two games. The Terps are now 9-3 S/U and 8-4 ATS in Big 10 play. The Michigan Wolverines are now 22-3 S/U and 13-11 ATS on the year. The Wolverines are coming off a loss at Penn State, 69-75 as 6.5-point road favorites. The Wolverines, like Maryland, has lost three games in Big 10 action. The road team has covered four in a row in this series and the dog is 4-1 ATS the last five meetings. I like the road dog here today, take Maryland.
02-16-19 | Southern Illinois +1.5 v. Indiana State | 79-57 | Win | 100 | 2 h 52 m | Show
Missouri Valley action this morning as Southern Illinois takes on Indiana State. Southern Illinois Salukis are 13-13 S/U and 12-13 ATS on the season. The Salukis have been much better covering on the road this year, going 8-4 ATS away and just 4-9 ATS at home. The Indiana State Sycamores are 13-12 S/U and 11-12 ATS on the season. The Sycamores have lost four of their last six and six of their last nine games. In addition, they have covered just two of their last six games and three of their last nine. Southern Illinois is 6-1 ATS in the last seven games at Indiana State and 12-2 ATS the last 14 total meetings. Take the road team here today, play Southern Illinois.
02-15-19 | Buffalo v. Toledo +3.5 | 88-82 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 14 m | Show
A write-in game here tonight finds a pair of really good MAC teams. No 25 Buffalo brings a nifty 21-3 S/U record into tonight's contest at 20-4 Toledo. Even though the Buffalo Bulls have won so many games, they have failed to cover their last three games and six of their last eight games. Can't say the same for Toledo. Not only has Toledo already won 20 games, they have covered 15 games this season. They are 4-0 ATS their last four and 6-2 ATS their last eight. The Home team has covered the last four in this series. Great matchup here, but I like the home team which is getting 3.5-points. Play Toledo.
02-15-19 | Monmouth +7.5 v. Rider | Top | 72-81 | Loss | -109 | 6 h 13 m | Show |
A couple of Metro Atlantic clubs that likely won't get to play in any of the post season tournaments. Monmouth Hawks are just 10-16 on the season, but they have covered 14 of 24 tries. The Hawks have won four in a row both S/U and ATS. In fact, the Hawks have been decent in Metro play, posting a 9-4 S/U and ATS record. The Rider Broncs are 13-12 S/U on the season, but just 5-19 ATS. The Broncs are 0-9 ATS their last nine games. They have also lost five straight games. The Broncs are now 6-21 ATS their last 27 games overall. Hawks playing very well of late compared to Rider. For some reason the oddsmakers have made Rider a 7-point favorite here tonight. Not sure how a team that has lost so many S/U in a row and has such a bad spread record can be such a big favorite. Take the visitor, play Monmouth.
02-14-19 | UC-Santa Barbara -6.5 v. UC Riverside | Top | 57-71 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 21 m | Show |
Late evening action finds Cal Santa Barbara playing at Cal Riverside tonight. The Santa Barbara Gouchos are 17-6 S/U on the season and 12-9 ATS. The Gouchos are 17-6 ATS their last 23 on the road. UC Riverside Highlanders are just 8-17 S/U and 9-10 ATS on the season. The Highlanders have lost four straight and seven of their last nine games. In addition, they have not covered any of their last four games. Santa Barbara laying 7-points in this game tonight. My own numbers have this game even higher. I'm taking the road team here tonight.k Play Cal Santa Barbara.
02-14-19 | Texas-Arlington +2.5 v. Arkansas-Little Rock | 52-56 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 50 m | Show
Sun Belt action has Texas Arlington playing at Arkansas Little Rock tonight. UTA Mavericks have been very good at covering spreads, evidenced by their 10-1 ATS mark their last 11 games. In addition, they are 14-3 ATS their last 17 in conference play and 5-0 ATS their last five on the road. The Arkansas Little Rock Trojans are 9-15 S/U and 10-12 ATS on the season. The Trojans have covered two straight. However, they are just 2-5 ATS their last 7 and 4-11-1 ATS their last 16 at home. Arlington getting points here as the better team and a team that covers is too much to pass on. Play the visitor, Texas Arlington.
02-13-19 | Minnesota +4 v. Nebraska | 61-62 | Win | 100 | 8 h 48 m | Show
Big 10 clash here on Wednesday as Minnesota plays at Nebraska. Minneosta is 16-8 S/U on the season, but looks to snap a 3-game losing streak tonight. The Gophers have covered four of their last six games. The Gophers could get close to that NCAA bubble unless they get back on the winning track here soon. Nebraska will likely have to settle for a NIT bit this year as they are 13-11 S/U on the season and 9/12 ATS. The Huskers are on a seven game losing streak both S/U and ATS. They are also 0-5 ATS their last five straight at home. Yet, here they are laying points tonight at home. Not sure how a team on a 7-game losing streak warrants laying 4-points to a team with a much better record. I'm taking the road team here tonight. Play Minnesota.
02-13-19 | Creighton +1 v. Xavier | Top | 61-64 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 18 m | Show |
Big East play tonight has two teams that will find neither making the NCAA tournament as Creighton visits Xavier. The Creighton Blue Jays have a great record against losing teams, going 21-5 ATS their last 26 vs a team with a losing straight up record. Creighton is 13-11 S/U and 11-12 ATS on the season. They have lost three of their last four games. Good news is that they are playing at a struggling Xavier team tonight. Xavier is 11-13 S/U on the season and they have lost six straight games and 0-5-1 ATS vs the number. The Muskateers are just 4-15-2 ATS their last 21 vs a team with a winning record. They are also 4-11-3 ATS their last 18 games at home and 0-6 ATS their last six in conference. The road team is 5-2 ATS the last seven in this series. I'm on the road team here tonight. Play Creighton.
02-13-19 | South Carolina +15 v. Tennessee | 73-85 | Win | 100 | 5 h 18 m | Show
The top ranked team in the nation is in action tonight as No 1 Tennessee hosts South Carolina. South Carolina is just 12-11 S/U on the season and 9-11 ATS. The Gamecocks haven't done too badly covering in conference though, going 7-4 ATS their 11 games in the SEC. That's nothing new though as going back to last season the Gamecocks are on a 13-4-1 ATS run their last 18 vs the conference. They are also 7-3-1 ATS their last 11 on the road vs a team with a winning home record. The top ranked Volunteers are 22-1 S/U on the season with their only loss coming way back in November in a preseason tournament setback to Kansas in OT, 81-87. Will Tennessee lose tonight? Not likely. However, they Vols are laying 15-points here tonight. Their last two home games were wins by 12 points over both Florida and Missouri. They just beat South Carolina by 22 points at South Carolina on Jan 29th. So why am I on South Carolina tonight. Mainly because this Tennessee team has Kentucky up next and I believe they will be looking past South Carolina tonight toward that big matchup with ranked Kentucky. I'm going to take the points here tonight with South Carolina.
02-11-19 | Kansas v. TCU -2.5 | 82-77 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 8 m | Show
Big12 clash here tonight with No 13 Kansas playing at TCU. Both teams are having excellent seasons. Kansas is 18-6 S/U and 10-14 ATS on the year. Kansas is ranked but still has struggled of late, going 3-4 S/U their last seven Big 12 games and 2-6 ATS their last eight. TCU is 16-6 S/U on the season and 12-9 ATS. The Horned Frogs have won two straight games. They are also 9-2 ATS in their last 11 home games and 13-6 ATS overall their last 19. TCU is laying 3-points here tonight. TCU is a very good home team and the Jayhawks have struggled to cover. This is a big game for TCU to beat a ranked team. I'm taking TCU tonight.
02-10-19 | Northwestern v. Iowa -9 | Top | 79-80 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 41 m | Show |
02-09-19 | Nebraska v. Purdue -12 | Top | 62-81 | Win | 100 | 10 h 37 m | Show |
Late action on the slate this evening finds Nebraska playing at Purdue in a Big 10 clash. The Huskers have struggling, going 0-6 their last six games (all in conference). They have also failed to cover any of those six games and are 1-9 ATS in conference play. That has dropped Nebraska down to 13-10 on the season with a 9-11 ATS mark. Purdue should make the NCAA's with a 16-6 mark thus far. The Boilermakers are also 13-9 ATS and 7-4 ATS at home. Purdue has won seven straight games and eight of nine in Big 10 action. In addition, the Boilermakers are 7-2 ATS in Big 10. Purdue has to lay double digits here tonight, but I don't see that as any problem against a struggling Nebraska squad. Take Purdue in a blowout.
02-09-19 | Auburn v. LSU -2.5 | 78-83 | Win | 100 | 3 h 51 m | Show
SEC conference play finds two teams both having very goods seasons that will clash today. Auburn is 16-6 S/U and 11-9 ATS on the season. The Tigers have won three straight (all at home) after a three-game losing streak that saw the club lose at Mississippi State and South Carolina. The Tigers are now 5-4 in conference play. LSU is 18-4 S/U and 12-9 ATS on the season. The Tigers are a nifty 8-1 in SEC play and have covered seven of their nine conference games. LSU's only conference loss came at home to Arkansas 89-90. The 21st ranked LSU Tigers are laying just 2 1/2 or 3 here to unranked Auburn. I like this play a lot here today. Take LSU.

The Zips have won three of their last four games. However, they have covered just one time in their last nine games. In fact, they have just that one cover in MAC play this season. The Zips are also 0-8 ATS at home their last eight games vs a team with a winning road record. In addition, they are 5-15-1 ATS their last 21 games in MAC play. I am playing the road team here today, take Kent State.

Big 10 action tonight has Iowa playing at Indiana. Iowa is 17-5 S/u and 6-8 ATS. The Hawkeyes are 6-3 S/U in Big 10 action. They have been doing good vs the number, 6-3 ATS in Big 10 action. Indiana is 13-9 S/U and 8-13 ATS this season. The Hoosiers have struggled in conference play, going 2-7 S/U and 2-7 ATS in their nine Big 10 games. In addition, the Hoosiers are just 3-7 ATS overall at home their last 10 games. Iowa has the better team this year and tonight they are getting 2 1/2 points. Take Iowa.

Two of the Big East's best clash tonight as St Johns plays at Marquette. St John's is 16-6 S/U on the season and 10-11 ATS. The Red Storm came into Big East play undefeated, but have since fallen on some hard times going just 4-6 S/U in conference play. They are also just 2-4 ATS their last six in the Big East. Marquette has been on a hot streak, winning eight straight in the Big East since losing their opener to St Johns back on Jan 1st. That makes this an even better play tonight on Marquette that will look for revenge against the only team to beat them thus far in conference play. The Golden Eagles have also covered seven of their last eight games and 13-3 their last 16 overall. Revenge is best served cold and that's what will happen tonight to St Johns. Play Marquette.
