Taking the DBACKS on the RL here. Lost yesterday with our RL play, but, call me stubborn, whatever, I am not laying 160. Maybe, in an extreme case. But not here. We will try for the extra return on the RL. Arizona 4-1 in Miley's last 5 starts vs the Rox. DBacks 16-5 last 21 in the series over Colorado. Rockies 3-7 in Francis' last 10 starts and 1-8 his last 9 starts as road underdog. Francis pitching on 3 days rest and somehow I don't think it will help his 8.44 ERA. 27 hits allowed, 9 walks in 16 innings with a .375 BA against. Let's go D-Backs. 4* ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS |

Tampa Bay Rays v. Chicago White Sox -1.5 | | 4-5 |
Loss | -100 | 8 h 29 m | Show |
Taking the WHITE SOX RL here. Peavy should be able to hold this light-hitting Tampa group in check. Tampa 1-6 last 7 on the road, 0-5 as road dogs and 2-8 last 10 vs righties. CWS 8-3 in Peavy's last 11 home starts as faves. Will take the shot RL here for the extra payday. 4* CHICAGO WHITE SOX RL |

Texas: Y Darvish -1.5 v. LA Anaheim: M Roth | | 11-3 |
Win | 111 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
Taking the RANGERS RL here. Will back Yu here. The guy has been great so far. Angels off to another slow start. Darvis 4-1 4.36 in 7 starts vs LAA. The last 2 games have been decided in the 9th and in extra innings. Can't see that happening here. Darvish the clear edge on the hill tonight. 4* TEXAS RANGERS |
04-24-13 |
Los Angeles Dodgers v. New York Mets -1.5 | | 3-7 |
Win | 157 | 7 h 22 m | Show |
Taking the METS RL here. Harvey is just a beast. I said it before, then he beat me when I had Strasburg. Lily fresh from the DL won't be long for this game. LAD still having some problems scoring. Mets bats have been surprisingly strong to start. 4* NY METS |

Seattle: F Hernandz -1.5 v. Houston: B Peacock | | 7-1 |
Win | 100 | 10 h 11 m | Show |
Taking the MARINERS on the RL here. This Astros team has shown some heart grabbing a few wins. But I am pretty sure we saw what Darvish did vs the these guys. No offense to him, but Felix is better. Would it really surprise anyone to see a 15K 7+ inning game here. And I say 7 shut-out because when you are striking out minor leagues, the pitch count climbs. I won't lay 170, but I will lay 1.5 runs. Seattle bats aren't' terrible, and should be able to break through here to help Felix get his 100th career win. 4* SEATTLE MARINES RL |

New York (A): C Sabathia v. Tampa Bay: M Moore -1.5 | | 1-5 |
Win | 183 | 9 h 16 m | Show |
Taking the RAYS on the RL here. You can go -115 if you want, but I am going for the big hit. Rays have had CC's number. Tampa is 11-2 last 13 at home vs the Yanks. CC 1-4 last 5 starts vs TB and 0-5 his last 5 starts at the Trop. Rays 8-3 in Moore's last 11 home starts, 16-6 last 22 when listed as faves and 20-6 last 26 vs lefties. I will grab the added value on the RL here. 4* TAMPA BAY RAYS RL |

Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 v. San Diego Padres | | 3-2 |
Loss | -100 | 13 h 58 m | Show |
Taking the DODGERS here on the RL. You can also read my take on the total on to why we are on LAD here. Listen. Dodgers the better team. Not much more to say. I won't lay 150 or more on the road, I don't care who is pitching. Maybe 160 tops. RL here is the play. LAD bats light years ahead of SD right now. Grienke should dominate this team. 4* LA DODGERS |

Texas Rangers v. Seattle Mariners -1.5 | | 4-3 |
Loss | -100 | 12 h 21 m | Show |
Taking the MARINERS on the RL here. Will back King Felix in his home opener. Almost went ML here, but will go for the extra money on the RL. Felix 51-35 3.16 career at home. Solid numbers vs Texas, 12-16 3.76 ERA. Now, yes, the wins are not there. But his Mariners never had much hitting behind him. Today, the aren't fancy, but the names are hitting for Seattle. Not going to sit here and type like I know Justin Grimm. I do know he had a 9.64 ERA in Spring training. 9 innings, 15 hits, 6 walks, 9 Ks and opposing hitters hung a .357 average on him. His minor league numbers aren't awful. But judging by what happened in Spring training, I will lean on the Cy Young winner to get the job done. He has faced a few MLB lineups in his time. 4* Seattle Mariners RL |
04-06-13 |
New York Yankees v. Detroit Tigers -1.5 | | 4-8 |
Win | 119 | 4 h 13 m | Show |
Going TIGERS RL here. Yanks are going to be in for a longggggg year. This team got old and injured over night and at the same tightened the purse strings and then brought in Lyle Overbay and Vernon Wells. Is this Toronto 2004? Where is Dave Steib to help on the mound? Oh, Phil Hughes is here to save the day. The kid was ticket to the minors, but the pitching problems are major for NYY. On the flip side, Tigers look sharp. Fielder found the seats twice yesterday. Some guy Cabrera won the triple crown. Plus this kid pitching is a beast. Off a monster second half, Max struck out 10 Yankees in 5.2 innings in the playoffs last year. Scherzer is 3-1 3.42 ERA in 23 innings (25Ks) vs the Yanks. With the Yanks woes, I will lay the runs at this price. 4* TIGERS RL |
04-01-13 |
Detroit Tigers -1.5 v. Minnesota Twins | | 4-2 |
Win | 100 | 16 h 22 m | Show |
Taking the TIGERS RL here. Tough not to like this team with Verlander on the hill. Can't think his contract will go to his head either. Verlander 8-0 last 8 vs Twins and 4-1 last 5 vs them in Minny. I think the Tigers line-up should do some damage here vs Worley and cover this RL for us. 4* TIGERS RL |
04-01-13 |
Miami Marlins v. Washington Nationals -1.5 | | 0-2 |
Win | 100 | 13 h 29 m | Show |
Taking the NATS RL here. Basically. I think this is a AAA team for the Marlins with a monster in Stanton in hitting 3rd. Let's be honest though. Everyone thought the Astros were never going to score and they put up 8 runs last night vs the Rangers. Anything can happen. But with Strasburg going, and at this price on the RL. Worth the shot no doubt. 4* NATS RL |
10-23-10 |
San Francisco Giants v. Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 | Top | 3-2 |
Loss | -100 | 10 h 51 m | Show |
Taking the Phillies here on the RL. SF in a real tough spot as they fail to close it out at home, and now have to come cross country to face the defending NL Champs at home. It doesn't get any easier with Roy Oswalt on the hill facing down the Giants. Phils 12-1 in Oswalts last 13 starts and 8-0 L8 here at home. Giants just 6-15 last 21 trips into Philly. Phils pour it on at home here and notch a 6-1 win. 4* PHILLIES RL |
10-20-10 |
Philadelphia Phillies v. San Francisco Giants -1.5 | | 5-6 |
Loss | -100 | 8 h 5 m | Show |
Taking the Giants here on the RL. Blanton hasn't pitched since an inning of relief back on Oct. 1. Normally you see guys over-rested all gunned up and shaky in their first few innings. Not good when you have a guy like Blanton the hill. Blanton and his 4+ ERA are hittable as his 13-5 over last 18 on the road can attest. Bumgarner is a tough lefty and will hamstrung these Philly bats. Bumgarner pitched a gem on the road in the first round and should thrive here at home as the Giants have the momentum after yesterdays shutout. 4* SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS RL |
10-07-10 |
Atlanta Braves v. San Francisco Giants -1.5 | Top | 0-1 |
Loss | -100 | 11 h 16 m | Show |
Taking the Giants here on the RL. Lincecum has been flashing his Cy Young form the last month of the season going 5-1 throwing 41.2 innings, striking out 52 and giving up just 9 runs. 'The Freaky Franchise' is 6-2 in his last 8 starts vs the Braves. Atlanta has dropped 6 of their last 7 in San Francisco. 4* GIANTS RL |
09-18-10 |
New York Yankees -1.5 v. Baltimore Orioles | | 11-3 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 8 m | Show |
Taking the Yanks on RL. Won't ever lay 200. NYY 4-0 in CCs last 4 road starts vs O's and 4-0 when CC faces Guthrie. New York is 8-1 in CCs last 9 starts vs BLT and 5-1 in their last overall meetings in Baltimore. O's are 0-6 in Guthries last 6 starts vs NY and just 1-5 in his last 6 home starts vs the Bombers. 4* NEW YORK YANKEES |
