08-24-20 | Rockets v. Thunder +3.5 | Top | 114-117 | Win | 100 | 6 h 24 m | Show |
Houston vs Oklahoma City 4:00 ET Thunder (+) over Rockets- As I said last time out the Rockets hot shooting would taper off and it did in Game 3. The question here is has Houston recovered enough after having fallen off with their 3-point shooting. OKC had won five straight in the series until these playoffs and it seems Houston has been saving it all up for this but the Thunder responded with a win in Game 3 and this game will show which club has more character. The Thunder were one of the league's biggest surprises this season and had the best ATS record in the NBA and with desperate times at hand they will respond. Take OKLAHOMA CITY!
08-23-20 | Nuggets +3.5 v. Jazz | 127-129 | Win | 100 | 11 h 4 m | Show
Denver vs Utah 4:00 ET Here's a team that has had defensive issues all season now have problem with they are beat at and that is shooting the ball. The Nuggets have fallen behind early and then have difficulty finding their rhythm after the slow start. Rudy Gobert has taken over with his power game and Denver doesn't seem to have an answer. Utah has 'covered' the number in the past two victories by 59 points but had dropped four straight to Denver before this current two-game domination. After the way the Nuggets were steamrolled the past two contests makes me believe if that have any professionalism at all baring injury they will be ready to play.Take DENVER!
08-23-20 | Raptors v. Nets +13.5 | 150-122 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 53 m | Show
Toronto vs Brooklyn 1:30 ET Nets (+) over Raptors- Brooklyn has shown the Raptors that they can play and Toronto is taking nothing for granted as they look to prove last season was no fluke. The Raptors like the spacing of games as they are 44-20 ATS on one day's rest and they are 10-3 ATS in their last 13. The Nets have played themselves well with one day's rest going 16-6 ATS but are just 1-6 in last seven playoff games as underdogs but with show up today as the Raptors coast. Take BROOKLYN!
08-23-20 | Angels +120 v. A's | Top | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 21 m | Show |
L.A. Angels at Oakland 4:10 ET Angels over A's- You know winning my Megabucks yesterday was fine, but to blow a pair of games in extra innings with leads (Boston) in the 10th and the Phillies blow a late four-run lead at Atalanta. Okay enough of that, well almost and I'm pissed two days ago with the Angels blowing a ninth inning lead to the A's. Okay, now...Dylan Bundy (3-2, 2.48 ERA) will start for L.A. And he is off a beating by the Giants while Oakland will start Frankie Montas (2-2, 4.74) who's control hasn't hit the mark yet. Montas was rocked by Arizona last time out as he complained of upper back stiffness. Take L.A. ANGELS!
08-23-20 | Astros v. Padres +105 | 3-5 | Win | 105 | 5 h 15 m | Show
Houston at San Diego 4:10 ET Padres over Astros- Now this is scary for a number of reasons. To start with Zack Greinke (1-0, 1.84 ERA) who has not only been outstanding this season but during his entire career against San Diego. Just, get a drift of this, he is 13-3 with a 2.37 ERA and a WHIP of 0.918. The Padres who lead the NL in homers with 54 in 29 games have hit five with the bases loaded and won six straight games. Houston should continue to struggle on the road 5-8 while Pods are 10-4 as hosts. Take the hot team over the hot pitcher. Take SAN DIEGO!
08-23-20 | Clippers v. Mavs +8 | 133-135 | Win | 102 | 6 h 40 m | Show
L.A. Clippers vs Dallas 9:00 ET Mavericks (+) over Clippers- The Clippers closed out an impressive win over the Mavericks as Luke Donic turned his ankle ans sat out the fourth quarter. Despite that win the Clippers are just 3-7 ATS as playoff favorites and that about the worst I can say about them...really. The trends supporting LA here is very compelling and the Mavericks trends will make you turn away. But, with or without Doncic coach Rick Carlisle will keep them prepared. Take DALLAS!
08-23-20 | White Sox v. Cubs -172 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 3 h 21 m | Show
Chicago White Sox at Chicago Cubs 2:00 ET Cubs over White Sox- I hate playing a club that is on a downslide and the Cubs fit that bill having lost their last two and seven of their last 10. The White Sox are on the other end having won their last seven and will start Dylan Cease (4-1, 3.16 ERA) who has won his last four starts with an ERA of 1.93. The Cubs are going with Yu Darvish (4-1, 1.80) and he is at his best since coming to the Cubs and is 3-1 with a 1.96 ERA at home. Take the CUBS!
08-22-20 | Rangers v. Mariners -134 | Top | 1-10 | Win | 100 | 10 h 27 m | Show |
Texas at Seattle 9:10 ET Mariners over Rangers- The lowly Mariners have a ray of hope in youngster Justus Sheffield (1-2, 4.12 ERA) who finally posted his first MLB win after nine big league starts. Texas will start Jordan Lyles (1-2, 7.52) who has allowed 10 earned runs in his last two starts and he is 1-2 with a 5.17 ERA against Seattle. Texas has dropped six straight and is 4-10 against left-handers and 1-6 as road dogs. Take SEATTLE!
08-22-20 | Lakers -7.5 v. Blazers | 116-108 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show
L.A. Lakers vs Portland 8:30 ET Lakers (-) over Trailblazers- Portland is the team that many feel can knock the Lakers out of the playoffs as they have given Los Angeles fits over the years going 47-23 ATS in the last 70 regular season meetings. But, this is the playoffs and the Lakers got their 'wakeup' call in Game 1 which was their sixth straight ATS loss to the Blazers. Lillard is hurting and LA gets serious. Take the LAKERS!
08-22-20 | Red Sox -108 v. Orioles | 4-5 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 37 m | Show
Boston at Baltimore 7:35 ET Red Sox over Orioles- When you are hot you're hot and when you are not you're not. Boston when ended a nine-game losing streak with a win over Philadelphia and now two more over Baltimore and have a 3-game win streak working. The Red Sox will start Martin Perez (2-3, 4.07 ERA) who is 4-5 with a 5.19 ERA against the O's. The Birds will start Alex Cobb (1-2, 3.76) who is 8-6 with a 3.73 ERA lifetime against the Red Sox. Boston is 4-1 in their last five games when favored while Baltimore is 18-39 in their last 57 games against left-handers and jus 340-70 at home. Take BOSTON!
08-22-20 | Phillies -110 v. Braves | 5-6 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 19 m | Show
Philadelphia at Atlanta 7:10 ET Phillies over Braves- Atlanta will start Robbie Erlin (0-0, 5.40 ERA) who was released by Pittsburgh the weakest team in baseball two weeks ago and now starts for the Braves. Do you realize how bad you have to be in order to get released by the Pirates? His mound opponent for the Phillies will be Zach Wheeler (3-0, 2.81) who is like a new man after being signed by Philadelphia as a free agent. Although the Phillies are just 4-11 in their last 15 games in Atlanta and 3-13 in their last 16 road games they have enough to beat the Braves tonight. Take PHILADELPHIA!
08-22-20 | Rockets v. Thunder +2.5 | Top | 107-119 | Win | 100 | 6 h 11 m | Show |
08-21-20 | Angels -120 v. A's | Top | 3-5 | Loss | -120 | 11 h 17 m | Show |
L.A. Angels at Oakland 9:40 ET Angels over A's- Talk about a 'Don't make sense' line on a game this is it today. Andrew Heaney (1-1, 4.74 ERA) was the Angels opening bday starter and things haven't gone as well as he had hoped. Los Angeles has lost four of his five starts to date and he opened the favorite against Oakland who has the best record in the AL and are 11-3 at home and yet an underdog here. Mike Fiers (2-1, 5.96) get his sixth start of the year and his third against the Angels and is 0-1 surrendering nine runs in 7.2 innings. He has allowed seven home runs the second most in the AL. Take the ANGELS!
08-21-20 | Clippers v. Mavs +5 | 130-122 | Loss | -102 | 10 h 42 m | Show
L.A. Clippers vs Dallas 9:00 ET Mavericks (+) over Clippers- Dallas closed out an impressive win over the Clippers despite 35 points from Leonard as the Mavs shot 45% from 3-point land. L.A. Has been consistent in as much that them bounce back from defeat as they are 19-7 after an ATS loss and more impressively are 8-1 ATS after bad loss of over 10 points. But, after Porzingis was thrown out of Game one overtime loss the Mavericks came together. Take DALLAS!
08-21-20 | White Sox -107 v. Cubs | 10-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 25 m | Show
Chicago White Sox at Chicago Cubs 8:15 ET White Sox over Cubs- A great 'Windy City' matchup has the run-away division leader Cubs hosting their cross town rival the White Sox. The AL Sox will send Dallas Keuchel (3-2, 3.07 ERA) to the hill and he will be opposed by veteran ace Jon Lester (2-0, 2.74) who is as sharp as ever and carries a lifetime 11-6 with a 4.02 ERA in 19 career starts against his rivals. Keuchel is 9-7 in inter-league play with a 2.97 ERA) who gets the win today. Take the WHITE SOX!
08-21-20 | Phillies +100 v. Braves | 2-11 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 33 m | Show
Philadelphia at Atlanta 7:10 ET Phillies over Braves- Okay, here it is, both clubs are starting their aces as the first place and home town Braves send Max Fried (3-0, 1.24 ERA) who hasn't given up a run in his last two starts. Philadelphia will start Aaron Nola (2-1, 2.05) who has like Fried thrown 13 straight scoreless innings is 11-5 with a 2.82 ERA in 19 career starts against Atlanta. Fried is 2-2 with a 4.55 ERA lifetime against the Phillies. The fact that the visitor is just 4-10 at Atlanta and yet are favored over the Braves ace gives me pause to wonder why Nola is favored here. Add that Philly is 2-4 on the road and Atlanta 8-3 at home gives me the visitor that with this line. Take PHILADELPHIA!
08-21-20 | Celtics v. 76ers +6 | Top | 102-94 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 0 m | Show |
Boston vs Philadelphia 6:30 ET 76ers (+) over Celtics- It really doesn't look the 76ers can play with Boston in this series. Joel Embiid is a one man gang but that hasn't been enough as they have dropped the first two scoring 101 points in both losses. The Sixers bench has not picked up the slack left since Ben Simmons went down but I expect more from them in Game 3. Philly is 5-1 ATS after a loss of 10-points or more. Take PHILADELPHIA!
08-20-20 | Blazers v. Lakers -6.5 | 88-111 | Win | 100 | 10 h 22 m | Show
Portland vs L.A. Lakers Lakers (-) over Trailblazers- Was it me or do the Lakers seem 'distant' or shall I say distracted as they never were able to exploit their dominating talent. The fact that it has been Portland that has given Los Angeles its biggest trouble over the years as they hold a 47-22 ATS advantage in the last 69 meetings. But, playoff action hasn't been kind to the Trailblazers as they are 11-26-2 ATS in their last 39 Conference Quarterfinal games. The Lakers are 0-6 ATS in their last six including the last five in the bubble. It's time to rise and shine. Take the LAKERS! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-20-20 | Reds -137 v. Cardinals | Top | 4-5 | Loss | -137 | 10 h 52 m | Show |
Cincinnati at St. Louis 8:15 ET Reds over Cardinals- St. Louis who miss 17 days because of COVID-19 outbreak last played at home on July 26 but have played eight games in five days in Chicago against the Cubs and White Sox. The Reds were also kept off the field because of a minor outbreak and missed four days themselves. The Cardinals have used 21 different pitchers in those eight games in the Windy City and 25 overall this season will start Adam Wainwright (2-0, 1.64 ERA) who has had little success against Cincinnati. He is 10-12 lifetime with a 5.25 ERA and was 1-1 with a 6.75 ERA last season in three starts. The Reds will start Sonny Gray (4-1, 2.05) who has allowed one run or fewer in four of five starts and he is 1-1 with a 1.08 ERA in three career starts against the Red Birds. Take CINCINNATI. Thank you and Good luck!
08-20-20 | Red Sox -134 v. Orioles | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 13 m | Show
Boston at Baltimore 7:35 ET Red Sox over Orioles- Boston is just where I love to see them...at the bottom of the heap as they have the fewest wins in the AL and are just 2-8 on the road. Yet, we seen the smelly Sox a favorite on the road here. Granted it is just the Orioles but Baltimore is a much improved club and is currently at 12-12 but are just 4-9 at home. They will start World Series hero Nathan Eovaldi (1-2, 5.93 ERA) who is 4-1 lifetime against the O's and Boston is 20-6 in their last 25 meetings in Baltimore and they are 25-9 as road favorites! Take BOSTON!
08-20-20 | Brewers v. Twins -101 | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 7 h 20 m | Show
Milwaukee at Minnesota 7:10 ET Twins over Brewers- Interesting pitching matchup as the Twins send Jose Barrios (1-3, 5.92 ERA) to the mound and his counterpart will be the Brewers Brandon Woodruff (1-1, 3.16). Barrios hasn't found his groove yet as his control has been spotty where as Woodruff is one of the hardest throwers in baseball and has 30 K's in 25.2 innings but is 0-1 in his only start against Minnesota. Brewers were no-hit for eight innings before losing in 10 last night and are just 2-5 in the last seven meetings. Take MINNESOTA
08-20-20 | Magic v. Bucks -12.5 | 96-111 | Win | 100 | 7 h 9 m | Show
Orlando vs Milwaukee 6:00 ET Bucks (-) over Magic- The Magic preformed a trick in Game 1 that few though possible as they un set the league's No. 1 seed 122-110. Orlando scored Milwaukee in every offensive category as the Bucks just didn't have the fire needed to win in the NBA. The Magic have been playing well and are 7-2 as underdogs and 13-5 ATS in their last 18 overall. But, Milwaukee is 5-0 ATS after a double-digit loss and 9-4 ATS as playoff favorites. Add that they are 31-14 ATS after a straight-up loss. Take the BUCKS! Thank You and Good Luck!
08-20-20 | Thunder +2.5 v. Rockets | Top | 98-111 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 55 m | Show |
Oklahoma City vs Houston 3:30 ET Thunder (+) over Rockets- Houston did their thing in Game 1 taking 52 3-point shots and when they are falling they are difficult to beat. The surprising Thunder weren't expected to be where they are at this time and will be ready for the Rockets who the have defeated five of the last six meetings. OKC has been under-rated all season and is 41-20 ATS in their last 61 games as underdogs and 10-2 ATS following a loss of 10 points. Houston is just 3-8 ATS in their last 11 as favorites and 4-9 after scoring more than 100 points. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-19-20 | Diamondbacks +149 v. A's | 1-4 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 54 m | Show
Arizona at Oakland 9:40 ET Diamondbacks over A's- Arizona started the year 3-8 and looked like an also-ran before the season was even two weeks old, but a turn around has them 10-3 since including winning their last six. Merrill Kelly (3-1, 1.71 ERA) is 7-2 with a 1.97 ERA in his last nine starts and has not allowed a run in his last 11 innings pitched. Oakland who is 9-3 at home will start Jesus Luzardo (1-0, 4.79) who was bombed by the Giants his last time out but received no decision. A's just 5-11 against the NL West. Take ARIZONA!
08-19-20 | Rangers +119 v. Padres | Top | 3-6 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 51 m | Show |
Texas at San Diego 9:10 ET
08-19-20 | Astros v. Rockies +138 | 13-6 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 55 m | Show
Houston at Colorado 8:40 ET Rockies over Astros- To start with I have trouble understanding why the Astros are such heavy favorites on the road in Colorado where the Rockies are at their best. Houston who is on a six-game winning streak (all at home) is just 3-6 away from where they are able to know what pitches are coming. Rookie Ryan Castellani (0-0, 1.04 ERA) makes his third start and has 10 K's and only three walks and have his teams confidence. It appears that the heavy line is due to the series records of these two clubs as the Astros are 7-1 in the mile High City and 14-2 in the last 16 meetings overall. But, the Rockies are 7-1 in their last eight against left-handers starters. Take COLORADO!
08-19-20 | 76ers +4.5 v. Celtics | Top | 101-128 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 56 m | Show |
Philadelphia vs Boston 6:30 ET 76ers (+) over Celtics- The Celtics were able to pull off a Game 1 win by outscoring the 76ers 34-20 after falling behind 81-75 early in the fourth quarter. That was Boston's second win in five tries against Philadelphia who will once again be without Ben Simmons while the Celts lost the services of Gordon Hayward who went down with a bad ankle sprain. The point spread trends are heavy on Boston but the Sixers need to show up here. Take PHILADELPHIA! There is a transmission issue...take PHILADELPHIA
08-18-20 | Blazers v. Lakers -5.5 | Top | 100-93 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 15 m | Show |
Portland vs L.A. Lakers 9:00 ET Trailblazers (+) over Lakers- While Portland was scratching and clawing for their play-in opportunity the Lakers guaranteed the No 1 seed in the West played uninspired ball with numerous players 'resting' as they lost four of their final five. The Trailblazers have had an emotional run during the restart that will drain their energy. They don't have a glorious playoff record as they are 4-9-1 ATS as a playoff underdog and just 10-26-2 ATS in 38 Conference Quarterfinal games. But, Portland does come to play when the Lakers are their opponent as they are 46-22 ATS in the last 68 meetings overall and that a good size sample. The Los Angeles 'numbers' are all negative as they are 0-5 ATS in their last five overall and 6-13 ATS in their last 19 after a 10-point loss. Playing possum...we will see. Take the LAKERS! If this message is garbled play is LAKERS!
08-18-20 | Phillies -120 v. Red Sox | 13-6 | Win | 100 | 9 h 58 m | Show
Philadelphia at Boston 7:10 ET Phillies over Red Sox- Boston returns home on an eight game losing streak and the best part that got swept by the Yankees who have beaten them 10 straight times. Now, here's my thought if the Red Sox can't be competitive against New York then they really do suck. The Phillies have been a disappointment so far but can get even with a win tonight as the enter on a three game winning streak and are 8-9. Philly bats have come alive with Harper and Realmuto doing the damage as they start Zach Eflin (0-1, 3.60) who is nothing special but the 'Dead Sox' are sending Zack Godley (0-2, 8.16) to the mound and he is god awful. Take PHILADELPHIA! Thank you and Good Luck.
08-18-20 | Mets -1.5 v. Marlins | 8-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 39 m | Show
New York Mets at Miami 7:05 ET
08-18-20 | Rays -106 v. Yankees | Top | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 16 h 0 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at New York Yankees 7:05 ET Rays over Yankees- The Yankees have now hit 44 home runs in 21 games and are on a six game winning streak and have won all nine games played at home. In a rarity the Yanks have lost one game when they played as the home team expect for a loss in Philadelphia. Tonight they are starting Masahiro Tanaka (0-0, 2.31 ERA) who has allowed just 10 hits in 11 innings covering three starts. New York has dominated this series at home going 37-14 the last 51 meetings and 47-14 as host in their last 61 overall. Okay, you should get the point by now. So, I ask you. How is it Tampa Bay is favored against the 'hottest' team in baseball who leads the majors in wins at their park where they are dominating? Well, maybe it's because Blake Snell (1-0, 1.08) is on the hill for the Rays but, he's averaging just 3.1 innings per start I think the key is that the Yankees are 1-5 as underdogs...Take TAMPA BAY! Thank you and Good Luck.
08-18-20 | Thunder -115 v. Rockets | 108-123 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 34 m | Show
Oklahoma City vs Houston 6:30 ET Rockets (+) over Thunder- These two finished with the same record 44-28 along with Utah but Houston is the higher seed at No. 4 while OKC is No. 5 and the Jazz No. 6. Looking at the series history one sees why the Thunder were made the favorite as they are 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings overall. OKC closed with a loss and are 9-4 ATS after a straight-up loss while Houston who was crushed in their final bubble game is 1-7 ATS after an ATS loss and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall. But, the Rockets can bite as they are 15-7 ATS when playing as an underdog. Westbrook mis out and I'm not really clear on which team he is sitting for. Anyway after they way the finished I'n go with...OKLAHOMA CITY! The selection here is OKLAHOMA CITY!
08-18-20 | Heat -4.5 v. Pacers | 113-101 | Win | 100 | 6 h 8 m | Show
Miami vs Indiana 4:00 ET Pacers (+) over Heat- This is like one of those NCAA seeding deals where one team is ranked above another and yet they show up as an underdog when they meet. Well, Indiana finished 1-game ahead of the Heat yet on a neutral site they are rated the underdogs. Granted they are only one game apart and that is why this game should be closer to a pick-em. When I see the Pacers are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings I begin to wonder what going on. Maybe because the Heat are 22-8 ATS after a straight-up loss and 31-15-2 ATS after an ATS loss. But, hey Indiana has something to cheer about as they are 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games as underdogs and 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 overall. Take the PACERS! Take MIAMI!
08-17-20 | A's v. Diamondbacks -105 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 60 m | Show |
Oakland at Arizona 6:40 ET Diamondbacks over A's- This another game that pains me as I ready do like this Oakland team and there never say-die attitude that has helped four their last four three times overcoming leads in improbable fashion. Not to be outdone Arizona has a 4-game win streak of their own rallying late in the last two defeating the Padres. The A's lead the 'bigs' in wins with 16 and they moving into hostile territory as those cut outs can be very intimation especially with as Zac Gallen (0-0, 2.74 ERA) the best winless pitcher in MLB with 28 K's in 23 innings while allowing just 20 hits. No mind if it is Bassitt (who I like) this is a letdown spot for Oakland and that's the story. Oh okay, they are also 2-6 in their last eight games in Arizona! Take the DIAMONDBACKS! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-17-20 | Padres -135 v. Rangers | 14-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 14 m | Show
San Diego at Texas 9:05 ET Padres over Rangers- Who is good and who is not it usually take about 100 games to begin to sort things out who now...who knows? Crazy, isn't it, the season is 1/3 over and it won't be long before we all say how did that happen. We have just had a great senescence with and against the padres and I can't see for any reason for it not to continue if and when it does so will we. It was a week ago and San Diego had just taken the Dodgers down the first two-games of a 4-game series and they were sitting at 11-6 just a hair behind the Rockies then it all happened they lost the final pair at LS and dropped three straight in Arizona blowing late leads on Saturday and Sunday. Now, Texas had a pair of mini streaks winning three and four and seven of eight altogether and that came to and end Sunday with the Rockies win 10-6. Tonight, Zach Davies (2-2, 2.78) with a WHIP of 0.84 gets the start for San Diego who is 10-3 as inter-league favorites but just 7-19 in their last 26 road games. Texas is 6-1 in their last seven home games and 5-0 at home as an underdog when hosting, but the phone rang and it not their night...and there is nothing that they can do about it! Take the PADRES!
08-17-20 | Mavs +6 v. Clippers | 110-118 | Loss | -105 | 26 h 20 m | Show
Dallas vs L.A. Clippers 9:00 ET Mavericks (+) over Clippers- Dallas who is 3-5 in Orlando enters this fray off two losses while the Clippers were 5-3 winning their last two. The Mavericks are a team that draws a lot of attention as they sparkle on the court at times but don't always deliver in pressure situations as they are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 as playoff underdogs and just 3-8 in their last 11 in Conference Quarterfinals. L.A. is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings including a 126-111 win in Orlando and are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games as favorites. But, there is one glaring negative trend that should be addressed as the Clippers are 8-22 ATS in their last 30 playoff game as favorites. Mavericks worth the ride...take DALLAS! If you CAN NOT read the above it is a transmission error...Take DALLAS.
08-17-20 | Mets -147 v. Marlins | 11-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 3 m | Show
New York Mets at Miami 7:10 ET Mets over Marlins- These are not two of my favorite starting pitchers so much so that I am unofficially thinking that this is going to be a high scoring game. I've watching Mets starter Robert Gsellman and after five years I am still waiting for him to get some one one...someone...anyone. Ha, so he is favored on the road with the mets having g lost their last three games. The reason is the Marlins have had their fun and now reality sets in. Miami started Jordan Yamamoto had a great debut last season but this year he has a 2.08 WHIP and the Marlins are in a deep dive. New York is just 2-5 in their last seven but 20-8 over Miami in the last 28 meetings. Take NEW YORK!
08-17-20 | 76ers +5.5 v. Celtics | Top | 101-109 | Loss | -104 | 25 h 57 m | Show |
Philadelphia vs Boston 3:30 ET Celtics 76ers – The way these two came into this game may be the telling a tale one way or another. Philadelphia was 4-4 during the restart losing three straight before closing by crushing Houston a club missing all their firepower. The Sixers of course will be without Ben Simmons but that just gives Joel Embiid more room to roam. Boston was 5-3 in Orlando and totally laid down in their final game getting beat by the winless (0-7) Wizards. That scares me is I believe the Celtics will be ready to play and I have doubts about the Sixers after routing the Rockets on the final day as they are 0-6 following a win of 10-points or greater. But, Philly is 4-1 ATS as playoff underdogs but are just 5-12 ATS in the last 17 meetings with Boston. The Celtics are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 Conference Quarterfinal games. Tough call but the public sentiment and money is on the Celtics. In a surprise. Take PHILADELPHIA!
08-17-20 | Nets +9.5 v. Raptors | 110-134 | Loss | -108 | 22 h 55 m | Show
Raptors (-) over Nets- The reigning NBNA champs showed that they are ready for the real deal going 7-1 in the 'bubble' but I see plenty of Nets 'action' here. As well I should as they are 5-0 ATS in the last five as underdogs. The Raptors are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games overfall and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 in NBA Playoff Conference Quarterfinal action. Usually there will be one blowout in opening games and I just hope this is the one. Take TORONTO!
08-16-20 | Padres v. Diamondbacks +109 | 4-5 | Win | 109 | 6 h 1 m | Show
San Diego at Arizona 4:10 ET Diamondbacks over Padres- It's just the way things go in baseball, a week ago the Padres were the latest rage with Tatis Jr. and Machado leading the way. They have (very under-rated front line pitching) but then you find that you have lost four straight and nine straight times in Arizona. The Diamondbacks will send re-tread Robbie Ray (1-2, 10.59 ERA)to the hill who has been nothing short of atrocious allowing 20 runs in 17 innings while surrendering seven homers. Ray is 33-15 the past three seasons with a low ERA of 2.89 in 2018. Garrett Richards (1-1, 3.74) will get the start and most of the money here, he's off his season's best holding the Dodgers to one run in six innings. He comes back to the pack today. Take ARIZONA!
08-16-20 | Brewers +115 v. Cubs | Top | 6-5 | Win | 115 | 4 h 18 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Chicago Cubs 2:20 ET Brewers over Cubs- I can't tell you how much it pains me to play against Chicago here because of Jon Lester (2-0, 1.06 ERA) as he has proven over the years that he is indeed a 'big game' pitcher and with the Cubs having dropped three straight at home to the Brewers I's say this is a big game. But, there is always the possibility that he can pitch well and still not win the game as Milwaukee is 8-2 in their last 10 against left-handers and 7-3 in their last 10 as road underdogs. Brewers starer Josh Lindblom (1-0, 5.68) is starting to blow people away with his hard stuff as he has 20 strike-outs in 12.2 innings. Lifetime as a reliever he is 8-1 with an unimpressive ERA. Still, I don't prefer warm beer bit the Brewers are the side. Take MILWAUKEE! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-16-20 | Braves -102 v. Marlins | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 3 h 56 m | Show
Atlanta at Miami 1:10 ET Braves over Marlins- 'Enough is enough' that's when the Braves are thinking coming into this encounter with the East Division leading Marlins (9-5). I agree it is a small sample but Atlanta still has to contend with Philadelphia, the Mets staff and the Nationals who will be heard from before it's all said and done. Miami who had 18 players test positive for COVID-19 and lost 105 games last season are 10-games behind the rest of baseball (except for the Cardinals) that have been postponed. Although Miami has played well all on the road they are just 2-7 in their last nine home games against teams with wining records while Atlanta is 7-0 after scoring two runs or less in their previous game. Take the BRAVES!
08-15-20 | Dodgers v. Angels +146 | Top | 6-5 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 48 m | Show |
L.A. Dodgers at L.A. Angels 9:40 ET Angels over Dodgers- The Dodgers hard throwing Walker Buehler (0-0, 4.40 ERA) has yet to find his grove as his control has been his biggest issue. Although, he has allowed just seven hits in over 14 innings of work and four of those hits have been home runs along with eight walks. The Angels will start Andrew Heaney (1-1, 4.26) who is looking to rebound off of his worst performance of the season allowing five runs in 3.2 innings against Texas last Sunday. Still, Heaney can be very tricky and the Angels rise here. Take the ANGELS!
08-15-20 | Padres v. Diamondbacks +107 | 6-7 | Win | 107 | 9 h 4 m | Show
San Diego at Arizona 8:10 ET D'backs over Padres- After a slow start Arizona has quietly won six of their last nine and are averaging better than seven runs per game over that span. The Diamondbacks will start Alex Young (1-0, 4.66 ERA) who is making his first career start against San Diego who are on a 3-game losing streak. The Slumping Padres will send right-hander Cal Quantrill (2-0, 3.13) who makes his first start after three relief appearances as their offense has gone dormant scoring just three runs in their last three games. Take ARIZONA!
08-15-20 | Brewers -114 v. Cubs | 6-5 | Win | 100 | 4 h 19 m | Show
Milwaukee at Chicago Cubs 3:20 ET Brewers over Cubs- The Cubs who are off to their best start in over a century is having rotation problems as Tyler Chatwood was the latest of their pitching staff to be sidelined because of injury. Chicago will go to Colin Rea who will be making his first start since 2016 and is 7-7 in his career as a starter. Adrian Houser (1-1, 2.65 ERA) will start for Milwaukee and the Brewers after a slow start have started to show some life with Yelich beginning to hit and Ryan Braun is returning to the lineup. Take the BREWERS!
08-15-20 | Grizzlies +6.5 v. Blazers | Top | 122-126 | Win | 100 | 16 h 26 m | Show |
Memphis vs Portland 2:30 ET Grizzlies (+) over Trailblazers- Portland has gone 6-2 in Florida while the Grizzlies lost their first four and then split the final four so they were 2-6 SU. This is a curious playoff situation as the Trailblazers only have two win one of a possible pair of games while Memphis must win both game to advance. It would be the other way around as these two met in the opening of the restart and Memphis blew a huge lead and lost in OT 140-135 otherwise the Blazers would be the one needing to win twice. Portland is 6-13-1 vARTS when playing a sub-500 team and like an old friend once said to me I can win twice and lose only once if I play the team facing elimination. Take MEMPHIS! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-14-20 | Rangers -119 v. Rockies | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 28 m | Show
Texas at Colorado 8:40 ET Rangers over Rockies- This is another 'Don't make sense' where the Rockies are involved. What I mean by that is here is Colorado 12-6 with the best record in the NL West hosting a sub .500 Rangers team that is 1-5 on the road. Texas will start Lance Lynn (2-0, 1.16 ERA) who has been sharp this season including an opening day win over the Rockies striking out nine in six innings. He is 1-1 with a 2.84 ERA at Coors Field while the Ryan Castellani (0-0, 0.00) gets his first start after working four innings with allowing a hit or run. The clincher for me is that the Rangers re 4-0 in their last four games in the Mile High City. Take TEXAS!
08-14-20 | Brewers -111 v. Cubs | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 35 m | Show
Milwaukee at Chicago Cubs 8:15 ET Brewers over Cubs- This is another difficult line to understand. Milwaukee who is struggling winning just seven of 17 games and are favored on the road here which just doesn't float. Here are the Rockies leading their Division and is an underdog at home where they are 8-1 on the season. Add that Chicago is on a seven game winning streak just fuels my suspicion that there is 'something' wrong here. Brandon Woodruff (1-1, 2.53 ERA) will start for the Brewers while Tyler Chatwood (2-1, 5.40) gets the nod for the Cubs. Milwaukee is 12-5 in their last 17 as road favorites. Take the BREWERS!
08-14-20 | Braves v. Marlins -103 | 2-8 | Win | 100 | 9 h 47 m | Show
Atlanta at Miami 4:10 ET Marlins over Braves- It's a short season and almost all gave a thought of some club that could never withstand the grind of 162 games sneaking into the post season. It's early but so far it appears that Miami could be that team currently leading the Division with and 8-4 recored including 2-0 at home. Atlanta started rough and has been bobbin' & weaven' since they are 11-9 on the season and just 4-7 on the road. The Braves will start Kyle Wright (0-2, 6.75 ERA) and he has yet to win in the 'bigs' and is 0-5 with a 7.41 ERA in seven career starts. Miami will send out Pablo Lopez (1-1, 1.80) who has been the Marlins most consistent hurler the past two seasons with an ERA of 3.512 at home in 100 innings. Take MIAMI!
08-13-20 | Nationals v. Mets -128 | 2-8 | Win | 100 | 3 h 52 m | Show
Washington at New York Mets 1:00 ET Mets over Nationals- Washington the defending World Series champs are happy to be playing on the road where they are 4-1 this season and 8-1 in their last nine while they are just 2-7 at home. New York started slow offensively but Pete Alonso who had 53 home runs last year entered last nights game hitting under .200 but, three hits and his second homer lead the way last night. The Nationals will start Austin Voth (0-1, 1.80 ERA) is 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA in three games against the Mets. New York will start David Peterson (2-1, 3.78) who will be facing Washington for the first time. Take the NEW YORK M-E-T-S! Thank you and Good luck!
08-12-20 | Padres +140 v. Dodgers | 0-6 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 4 m | Show
San Diego at L.A Dodgers 9:40 ET padres over Dodgers- Watch-out with the 'new' blood stirring in San Diego the Padres are a team playing with a lost of confidence. They have won four of five and will start Zach Davies (2-1, 2.87 ERA) and he is 3-1 lifetime against the Dodgers with a 1.98 ERA. Los Angeles will start Tony Gonsolin (0-0, 0.00) will make the start as Julio Urias has been pushed back until tomorrow and has never faced the Padres. Take SAN DEIGO! Thank you and Good luck!
08-12-20 | Cubs +109 v. Indians | 7-2 | Win | 109 | 6 h 29 m | Show
Chicago Clubs at Cleveland 6:10 ET Cubs over Indians- Chicago has come alive offensively while Cleveland is the worst hitting team in baseball and have already had seven games with one run scored or less. Cubs are 5-1 in the last six meetings in Cleveland and are 7-1 in their last eight games overall and 15-5, against the AL Central. There will be a clash of trends as the Indians are 10-2 against the NL Central and 20-7 in their last 27 against right-handers at home. But, not today...take the CUBBIES!
08-12-20 | A's v. Angels -102 | Top | 8-4 | Loss | -102 | 5 h 39 m | Show |
Oakland at L.A. Angels 4:10 ET Angels over A's- The A's put together the longest win streak of the MLB season taking nine straight before running into the Angels on Monday and against yesterday. Now losers of two in-a-row Oakland will most likely continue on that negative trend. Chris Bassitt (1-0, 1.08 ERA) is taking the hill for the A's and he is off of a fine performance against the Astros allowing just three hits and one run in seven full innings, he is 2-2 with a 5.33 ERA in seven career starts against the Angles. L.A. Will start Channing Griffin (0-2. 3.13) and he will pick up his first win of the season. Mojo is important and the A's have lost it...take the ANGLES! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-11-20 | A's v. Angels -147 | 0-6 | Win | 100 | 10 h 4 m | Show
Oakland at L.A. Angels 9:40 ET Angels over A's- It seems to me that the cheatin' Astros are getting a pass from Commissioner Manfred and other clubs are taking the hits (including six times in a 3-game set) and getting players suspended for reacting. Oakland will most likely be without centerfielder Ramon Laureano who challenged Houston after getting plunked by Astros pitchers for the third straight day. Mike Fiers (1-0, 5.63 ERA) who many consider 'a rat' for spilling the beans on Houston's signal stealing gets the nod for the A's and is 6-4 with a 5.15 lifetime ERA against the Angles. L.A. Will start Dylan Bundy (2-1, 2.08) who has found 'life' after getting out of Baltimore. He is 3-1 lifetime against the A's and he has 25 K's in 21 innings this season. After a long winning streak Oakland will move back toward the middle. Take LA ANGELS! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-11-20 | Padres +145 v. Dodgers | 6-2 | Win | 145 | 10 h 1 m | Show
San Diego at L.A. Dodgers 9:40 ET Padres over Dodgers- Monday, 'we' posted the Padres fully expecting Garrett Richards (0-1, 4.60 ERA) to get the start but it was his teammates that took down the Dodgers 2-1. Richards is 1-1 with a respectable 2.55 ERA lifetime against the Dodgers. L.A. will start Ross Stripling (3-0, 4.00) who is 5-5 lifetime against the Padres and they will be without Corey Seager who is out with a back strain. Take SAN DIEGO! Thank you and Good luck!
08-11-20 | Diamondbacks -107 v. Rockies | Top | 7-8 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 6 m | Show |
Arizona at Colorado 8:f40 ET Diamondbacks over Rockies- I have issues with the line on this game as Colorado aside from Oakland has been the hottest team in the league winning 11 of their last 14 upon returning home. They will start undefeated Kyle Freeland who is 3-0 with a 2.41 ERA and the Rockies opened an underdog here against Arizona who entered this series winning just six of their first 16 games. Zac Gallen (0-0, 2.81) gets the start for the D'backs as Mike Leake and Madison Bumgarner are on the IL and he looks to make the best of his opportunity. Freeland is 3-4 with a 5.57 ERA lifetime against Arizona and just 1-3 with a 7.12 ERA at Coors Field. Take the DIAMONDBACKS! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-10-20 | Padres +145 v. Dodgers | 2-1 | Win | 145 | 12 h 40 m | Show
San Diego at L.A.Dodgers Padres over Dodgers- Hey, why not take a shot. San Diego has shown that they are more than capable as their power surge of six homers in three innings would attest. Garrett Richards (0-1, 4.60 ERA) was roughed up by the Dodgers last Wednesday and is anxious to atone as get back to the success he has had against them previously with an ERA of 2.55 in seven outings. Take SAN DIEGO! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-10-20 | Diamondbacks v. Rockies -120 | 12-8 | Loss | -120 | 11 h 47 m | Show
Arizona at Colorado 8:40 ET Rockies over Diamondbacks- Colorado is off their get-away-day game loss at Seattle but return home with the most wins in the NL. Arizona will start Robbie Ray (1-2, 9.45 ERA) who has seen better days and is coming off of his first win over the Astros despite trailing 6-0 at one point. The Rockies will start Jon Gray (0-1, 3.31) who has a .694 winning percentage at Coors Field. Colorado is 6-2 against the D'backs who are 2-10 in their last 12 as underdogs. Rockies are 7-0 in their last seven starts against a left-hander...Take COLORADO! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-10-20 | Twins v. Brewers -104 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -104 | 10 h 28 m | Show |
Minnesota at Milwaukee 8:10 ET Brewers over Twins- The ERA leaders for both leagues will face-off as Minnesota Rookie Randy Dobnak (2-1, 0.60 ERA) has been un-hittable allowing only one run in 15 innings of work. His last time out he threw six shutout innings in his hometown at Pittsburgh getting his first win. Milwaukee who seems to be on tract will start Adrian Houser (1-0, 0.75) who is off of his career best outing with seven scoreless innings against the White Sox. I believe both of these pitchers will come down a bit off of their last performances but coming off of a start and win in your home town against the Pirates you have more room to fall. Add that the Bucs have little offense to worry about and Yelich has started to hit for Milwaukee. Take the BREWERS! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-09-20 | Rockets v. Kings +6 | 129-112 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 6 m | Show
Houston vs Sacramento 8:00 ET Kings (+) over Rockets- I like Houston in this little shoot-around of eight games before it all hits the fan. They are 3-1 since the restart including a Megabucks win for us over the Lakers last time out. Sacramento is seeded last and has lost four of five and are certainly out of it and could only be a spoiler. The Rockets are pretty much locked into the third seed and are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games as favorites while the Kings are 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine games as underdogs. Take SACRAMENTO!
08-09-20 | 76ers +3.5 v. Blazers | Top | 121-124 | Win | 100 | 8 h 47 m | Show |
Philadelphia vs Portland 6:30 ET 76ers (+) over Trailblazers- The media types are going crazy as they believe that the 76ers are in trouble now that Ben Simmons is out. What they should realize is that Philadelphia plays better when either Simmons or Joel Embiid are out. The floor just may not be big enough for both of them to be on it at the same time. Portland's loss to the Clippers yesterday leaves them a half-game ahead of San Antonio and Phoenix for the final play-in berth. The Blazers are 5-11-1 ATS when playing on one days rest. Take PHILADELPHIA!
08-09-20 | Spurs v. Pelicans -3 | 122-113 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 13 m | Show
San Antonio vs New Orleans 3:30 ET Pelicans (-) over Spurs- San Antonio must win there remaining three games to get into the NBA Playoffs for a record 23rd consecutive season and even if they do the numbers just don't add up. Memphis who admittedly is in poor shape needs win just one of their remaining three games to eliminated the Spurs and the Trailblazers already have two more wins. The Pelicans had great momentum before the break but the shortened schedule an injuries have taken them down a peg. Spurs are 2-8 ATS playing on one day's rest while New Orleans takes advantage of weaker teams as they are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games against teams with losing records. Take the PELICANS!
08-09-20 | Angels -103 v. Rangers | 3-7 | Loss | -103 | 4 h 58 m | Show
L.A. Angels at Texas 2:35 ET Angels over Rangers- Andrew Heaney (1-0, 2.35 ERA) is looking to be Joe Madden's ace and if he can stay healthy he might prove worthy. Against Texas he is 2-3, with a 4,82 ERA in 10 career starts. For the Rangers it will be their best to date in Lance Lynn ((1-0, 0.49) in three starts as opponents are batting .100 against him. LA has struggled at Texas losing their last four games there. This time it's different as Texas is just 6-14 in their last 20 as underdogs. Take the ANGELS!
08-09-20 | Reds v. Brewers -115 | 3-9 | Win | 100 | 4 h 38 m | Show
Cincinnati at Milwaukee 2:10 ET Brewers over Reds- This is a tough call going against the Reds' Sonny Gray (3-0, 0.96 ERA) as 'we' have been riding his coattails and making money. He has allowed just two earned runs in 18.2 innings striking out 28. Milwaukee will send Brandon Woodruff (1-1, 2.08) to the hill and he is 2-2 with a 4.58 ERA in five career starts against Cincinnati while Gray is 2-1 with a 2.45 ERA against the Brewers in five career starts. Still, today it's MILWAUKEE!
08-09-20 | Yankees v. Rays -124 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 3 h 45 m | Show |
New York Yankees at Tampa Bay 1:10 ET Rays over Yankees- It seems like all the Tampa Bay Rays need to excel is for New York to come to town. The Rays had lost six of seven games before entering this series and have now taken 2-of-3 and have their ace Charlie Morton (1-1, 5.52 ERA) on the hill and he is 4-2 with a 3.97 ERA in eight starts against the Yankees and they have won 22 of their last 27 at home. New York will send their 'weak link' to the mound as James Paxton (0-1, 13.50) and they are 1-5 in their last six as road underdogs while the Rays are 37-17 at home. Take TAMPA BAY!
08-08-20 | Rockies v. Mariners -107 | Top | 5-0 | Loss | -107 | 11 h 36 m | Show |
Colorado at Seattle 9:10 ET Mariners over Rockies- This matchup hit my eye almost immediately when I saw Seattle come up the favorite over the Rockies. The first thing 'we' realize is that the Mariners are just 5-10 and 2-6 at home while first-place Colorado is 10-3 with the best record in MLB aside from Miami (7-1). The Rockies will send Ryan Castellani who was recalled from from the injured list because scheduled starter Chi Chi Gonzalez will make his debut while the Mariners will start Nick Margevicius (0-0, 5.40 ERA) who was acquired from San Diego in the off-season. This is a 'numbers' game and I have SEATTLE! Thank you and Good luck!
08-08-20 | Suns v. Heat +2 | Top | 119-112 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 14 m | Show |
Phoenix vs Miami 7:30 ET Heat (+) over Suns- Phoenix is brimming with confidence having posted four straight wins since the restart and now trail the final playoff spot by two games but there are four different teams ahead of them. Miami has a one-game lead over the Pacers and 76ers for the fourth seed in the East and are 21-5 ATS in the last 26 meetings with the Suns. Add the Phoenix is 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games as favorites. Take MIAMI!
08-08-20 | Lakers -6.5 v. Pacers | 111-116 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 34 m | Show
L.A. Lakers vs Indiana 6:00 ET Lakers (-) over Pacers- With the No. 1 seed locked up in the West the Lakers have been sleep-walking through the restart and are 2-3 since. The Pacers are in the fifth spot one-game behind the Heat who they play twice in the next three games. Focus for Indiana might be off and the Lakers need a strong performance. Take LOS ANGELES!
08-08-20 | Astros v. A's -135 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 27 m | Show
Houston at Oakland 4:10 ET A's over Astros- Just about 12 hours after there extra-inning game ended last night the Astros and A's will go at bit again early Saturday. Houston will start Framber Valdez (0-1, 2.53 ERA) who has faced the A's twice with no record and a 3.60 ERA while Oakland will start Frankie Montas (1-1, 2.25) who makes his MLB leading fourth start. Oakland has won their last four meetings and is 20-6 at home against left-handed starters and 39-12 in their last 51 starts against lefties overall. Take OAKLAND! Thank you and Good luck!
08-08-20 | Tigers v. Pirates -119 | 11-5 | Loss | -119 | 5 h 26 m | Show
Detroit at Pittsburgh 4:05 Pirates over Tigers- After four days off because their series against the Cardinals was cancelled the Tigers erupted for 17 runs in 11 innings at PNC Park Friday. Today, Detroit will start Ivan Nova (0-0, 4.22 ERA) who is 13-8 with a 2.75 lifetime ERA at PNC and is up against the team with the most losses in baseball. Pittsburgh will start veteran Derek Holland (0-0, 4.76) and he is 1-2 with a 4.26 ERA against the Tigers. One thing that I consider a key factor is that even with Friday's win the Tigers are just 3-9 in the last 12 meetings...take PITTSBURGH! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-08-20 | Jazz +1.5 v. Nuggets | 132-134 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 9 m | Show
Utah vs Denver 3:30 ET Jazz (+) over Nuggets- Denver trails the Clippers by two-games in the loss column with four to play as they via for the second seed and they lead the hot Rockets by just one-game. Both clubs have been playing with a number of starters missing and I mean three of four starters for each club. The Jazz can move up at least two spots with a strong finish. Take UTAH!
08-07-20 | Astros v. A's -120 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 7 m | Show |
Houston at Oakland 9:10 ET A's over Astros- Oakland is riding a season high six-game winning streak (not that there has been any time for there have been another) and are always under-rated. Chris Bassitt (1-0, 0.90 ERA) gets the start for the A's while Zack Grienke (0-0, 5.00) gets the nod for Houston. How 'bout this...Astros are 5-0 in first game of series with Grienke and Oakland is 5-0 in Bassitt's last five starts. I'll side with the home team as Houston plays their 7th straight on the road. No signs here! Take the ATHLETICS! Thank you and Good luck!
08-07-20 | Diamondbacks +113 v. Padres | 0-3 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 54 m | Show
Arizona at San Diego 9:10 ET Diamondbacks over Padres- San Diego's Zach Davies (1-1, 4.50 ERA) will get this start as Joey Lucchesi was dispatched to the Padres alternate camp trimming their roster to 28. Arizona will send Luke Weaver (0-2, 14.763) to the hill who has already been bombed by the Padres surrendering six runs on seven hits in just 3.2 innings but the Diamondbacks have won their last two and get it done once again. Take ARIZONA ! Thank you and Good LUCK!
08-07-20 | Celtics +2.5 v. Raptors | Top | 122-100 | Win | 100 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
Boston vs Toronto 9:00 ET Celtics over Raptors- Toronto is 3-0 since the restart and have won seven straight overall. Boston is just 2-2 since the restart but are 2-1 against the raptors this season and are 14-4 ATS inn their last 18 games as an underdog. Toronto is 3-1-1 ATS in their last five as favorites but...Take BOSTON!
08-07-20 | Yankees v. Rays -102 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show
New York Yankees at Tampa Bay 6:40 ET Rays over Yankees- Honestly now, you didn't expect the Yankees to going 59-1 did you...well what a thought but is could never be if you have a player named Gary Sanchez playing as Brain Cashman tries to justify his presence. Okay enough about them, Blake Snell (0-00, 5.40 ERA) get the start for the Rays and he hasn't been anything close to his Cy Young award winning season even since. New York will start the headache in their rotation Masahiro Tanaka (0-0, 3.38) whose stuff is so nasty that Sanchez can't catch it and that is the down fall. Tanaka can't throw certain pitches in clutch situations because of catching issues. Take TAMPA BAY! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-07-20 | Magic +4.5 v. 76ers | 101-108 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 17 m | Show
Orlando vs Philadelphia 6:30 ET Magic (+) over 76ers- Sixers All-Star Benn Simmons is now out indefinitely with a dislocated kneecap and believe it or not Joel Embiid was seen smiling. It is well known the two have struggled when playing together on the court and are not exactly friendly as teammates. Meanwhile, Orlando needs just one win to clinch a playoff spot and like Philadelphia will be without a main cog as Aaron Gordon is expected to miss this one. Take ORLANDO! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-07-20 | Thunder v. Grizzlies +5 | 92-121 | Win | 100 | 5 h 32 m | Show
Oklahoma City vs Memphis 4:00 ET Grizzlies (+) over Thunder- Memphis began the restart 32-33 and have lost four straight games in Orlando and now they have no margin for error. The grizzlies thought the restart schedule put them in an unfavorable position with their close competitors getting an easier ride. Regardless they must win now against one of the NBA's biggest surprises in OKC who just destroyed the Lakers 105-86. I expect a bit of a lull tonight and for the Grizzlies to growl. Take MEMPHIS!
08-06-20 | Lakers v. Rockets +1 | Top | 97-113 | Win | 100 | 9 h 28 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Houston 9:00 ET Rockets (+) over Lakers- It appears to me that the Lakers are just going to sleepwalk through these eight games in Orlando before the playoffs start and the Rockets have been up and down as well. But, understanding all of that it's difficult for me to see how the Lakers can be a virtual pick'em against this Houston team. Note that L.A. is 1-5 ATS in their last six games as a favorite and the Rockets are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as underdogs. Take HOUSTON!
08-06-20 | Brewers +107 v. White Sox | 8-3 | Win | 107 | 9 h 20 m | Show
Milwaukee at Chicago White Six 8:10 ET Brewers over White Sox- The Brewers look for a split in this four-game series as they were able to eek out a 1-0 win last night over Chicago and that was without Christian Yelich who is hitting .088 with 16 strikeouts. Milwaukee will start Josh Lindblom (0-0, 4.91 ERA) who was pushed back a day because of back spasms. The White Sox will start Gio Gonzalez (0-0, 7.36) who is 2-5 with a 5.24 lifetime ERA against the Brewers. Take MILWAUKEE!
08-06-20 | Astros v. Diamondbacks +101 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 101 | 8 h 23 m | Show |
Houston at Arizona 7:07 ET Diamondbacks over Astros- Houston leads the American league with 67 runs scored in 11 games and hit four home runs last night but were defeated 14-7. Today the Astros will start Brandon Bielak (2-0, 1.69 ERA) who has a pair of wins in relief but will make his first big league start. Arizona will start Zac Gallen (0-0, 2.70) who had a strong outing against the Dodgers striking out nine in six innings. Trends tell us Houston is 1-5 in their last six inter-league games while the D'backs are 11-4 in their last 15 inter-league games and 6-2 at home against right handed starters. Take ARIZONA!
08-06-20 | Reds +110 v. Indians | 0-13 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 15 m | Show
Cincinnati at Cleveland 7:10 ET Reds over Indians- Cleveland always seems to manage to kind a way to beat the Reds as they are 20-7 in the last 27 meetings. After dropping the first game of this four game series the Indians have won the last two but have totaled just 12 runs and hit .143 amid a 3-5 stretch and will start Carlos Carrasco (1-1, 3.75 ERA) and he is 3-0 with a 4.05 ERA versus Cincinnati. The Reds will start Luis Castillo (0-1, 4.50) who had a solid start to the season striking out 11 in six innings and with Joey Votto 6 for 13 with two doubles and a homer against Carrasco. Take CINCINNATI. Thank you and Good Luck!
08-06-20 | Heat v. Bucks -8.5 | 116-130 | Win | 100 | 4 h 23 m | Show
Miami vs Milwaukee 4:00 ET Bucks (-) over Heat- What is going with the Bucks they have lost 2-of-3 in Orlando five of six dating back to March, but they still have the best record in the NBA. Milwaukee is coming off of a loss to the Nets as a 19-point favorite while Miami rose to the occasion as a Megabucks winner last time out defeating the Celtics. This brings the Heat record to 8-23-1 ATS in their last 32 games following a straight-up win. The Heat are 2-0 versus the Bucks this season and are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings and now come up a huge underdog. Take MILWAUKEE! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-05-20 | Dodgers v. Padres +121 | Top | 7-6 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 14 m | Show |
L.A. Dodgers at San Diego 9:10 ET Padres over Dodgers- San Diego who has been a bottom feeder for longer than I can remember have a different look this season are seeking to challenge the Dodgers who they play again four times in Los Angeles next week. Tonight, the Padres will start Garrett Richards (0-0, 3.38 ERA) and he is 1-0 with a 1.78 career ERA against LA allowing just 23 hits in 30 innings. Ross Stripling (2-0, 2.92) who is 3-1 with a 1.96 ERA at Petco Park but overall is 4-5 with a 3,56 ERA against San Diego and the Padres have hit .260 against him. Take SAN DIEGO!
08-05-20 | Astros v. Diamondbacks +130 | 7-14 | Win | 130 | 10 h 53 m | Show
Houston at Arizona 9:10 ET Diamondbacks over Astros- Arizona has lost five of six including three straight scoring just four runs and in their last series and will start Robbie Ray (0-2, 8.64 ERA) who needs a quality start in the worst way. Houston will start Lance McCullers Jr. (1-0, 5.40) who is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA lifetime against the D'backs. The Astros are just 2-5 in their last seven inter-league games while Arizona is 10-4 in there last 14 inter-league contests. The Diamondbacks are 5-2 in there last seven at home versus right-handed starters. Take ARIZONA!
08-05-20 | Brewers +104 v. White Sox | 1-0 | Win | 104 | 9 h 39 m | Show
Milwaukee at Chicago White Sox 8:10 ET Brewers over White Sox- Chicago is on a six game winning streak and beaming with confidence as they seek a post-season berth for the first time in more than a decade. Milwaukee has dropped three of four and will have Adrian Houser (0-0, 1.80 ERA) on the bump and he has been effective against Chicago going 2-1 with a 2.42 ERA lifetime. The White Sox will start Dallas Keuchel (2-0, 3.38) who is facing his biggest nemesis. Keuchel is 0-4 with a 8.75 ERA in five career starts against the Brewers. Take MILWAUKEE! Thank you and good luck!
08-05-20 | Raptors v. Magic +7 | Top | 109-99 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
Toronto vs Orlando 8:00 ET Magic (+) over Raptors- Toronto has started exactly the way they left off when the season was halted in March as they have won both their matchup on the restart defeating both the LA Lakers and Miami. The Raptors might have a smile on their faces as they have won the last five meetings and they are an amazing 40-14 ATS when playing on one days rest. Orlando is now 5-1 ATS in their last six games as underdogs and are 10-2 ATS in their last 11 overall. This time the worm turns. Take ORLANDO! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-05-20 | Nuggets v. Spurs +3.5 | 132-126 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 43 m | Show
Denver vs San Antonio 4:00 ET Spurs (+) over Nuggets- San Antonio is looking to reach the playoffs for the 23rd straight time and they are now seeded 10th after their 132-130 loss to the 76ers. The Spurs are 4-0 ATS in their last four as underdogs and are 7-3 ATS against the Nuggets in the last 10 meetings. Denver is just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall and should fall short here. Take SAN ANTONIO!
08-05-20 | Grizzlies +6 v. Jazz | 115-124 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 26 m | Show
Memphis vs Utah 2:30 ET Grizzlies (+) over Jazz- Memphis has been struggling even before the break as they enter this contest 0-4 ATS in their last four and even worse 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games as an underdog. Utah hasn't been all that much better as they are 1-4 ATS in their last five and just 2-13-2 ATS as favorites and 1-9-1 ATS after a straight-up loss. Add the Memphis is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings. Take the GRIZZLIES! Thank you and Good luck!
08-04-20 | Astros -120 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 8-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 15 m | Show |
Houston at Arizona 9:10 ET Astros over Diamondbacks- Madison Bumgarner (0-1, 4.09 ERA) now with Arizona has yet to show his prior form as he has struggled with his 'new' club yet to throw a fastball at 90 MPH. Houston will send Cristian Javier (0-0, 1.35 ERA) to the mound for his second career start after holding the Dodgers to one run and two hits in his first big league start last Wednesday. Houston has had its way against left-handers going 40-12 against them in the last 52 starts. State wise Arizona just doesn't match up as they are just 2-6 in their last eight games at home as underdogs. Take HOUSTON! Thank you and Good luck!
08-04-20 | White Sox +116 v. Brewers | 3-2 | Win | 116 | 9 h 11 m | Show
White Sox over Brewers- Chicago has started the season with lively bats as they are 6-4 on the season and will be starting one of last year's surprise Lucas Giolito (0-1, 6.52 ERA) who bounced back after a poor opening outing to shutting out the Indians for six innings. The White Sox have won five straight and are 5-1 in their last six games in Milwaukee while the Brewers are 2-6 in their blast eight against right handed starters and 3-8 in their last 11 games overall. Take CHICAGO! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-04-20 | Celtics v. Heat +3.5 | Top | 106-112 | Win | 100 | 9 h 37 m | Show |
Boston vs Miami 6:35 ET Heat (+) over Celtics- Miami is coming off Monday's early afternoon game a loss to Toronto 107-103 and must play for the second day in-a-row. The Heat are 5-6 straight-up playing without any rest and are 0-2 against Boston this season and have lost five straight to the Celtics. Miami had a terrible shoot day against the raptors and look to atone today. Take MIAMI!
08-04-20 | Indians v. Reds +150 | 4-2 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 2 m | Show
Cleveland at Cincinnati 6:10 ET Reds over Indians- Both of these clubs are streaking in different directions. Cleveland has dropped four straight while Cincinnati has won their last three including yesterday's 3-2 Megabucks win. Indians starter Shane Bieber (2-0, 0.00) has been almost hittable allowing no runs and 27 strikeouts in his pair of starts posting two wins. The Reds win yesterday was there first against the Tribe at home in seven tries and I expect the change in that trend to continue today. Take CINCINNATI! Thank you and Good luck!
08-03-20 | Lakers v. Jazz +6.5 | Top | 116-108 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 24 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers vs Utah 9:05 ET Jazz (+) over Lakers- The leagues best, the Lakers (it is assumed) had a rough outing last time out as LeBron James and Anthony Davis managed just 33 points between them both. L.A. has won the last four meetings ATS but Utah is 7-1 ATS in their last eight games as underdogs although they are 0-8-1 ATS in their last nine following a straight-up loss. Although the Jazz are 1-1 since the restart Utah needs a solid performance to re-establish the confidence needed heading into the playoffs. Take UTAH! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-03-20 | White Sox -103 v. Brewers | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 56 m | Show
Chicago White Sox at Milwaukee 8:10 ET White Sox over Brewers- Taking five days off when you only have a 60-game schedule can end up being very taxing before it is all over. Milwaukee will get back on the field for the first time since last Wednesday through no of their own but rather because a few Cardinals flew-the-coop and tested positive. It seems a bit strange to me that the Brewers and White Sox would be a virtual pick'em in Milwaukee especially when you see what Sox starting pitcher Carlos Rodon (0-1, 12.27 ERA) did his first time out. Brew Crew outfield hurting as Cain and now Braun are out and Yelich is just 1-for-23. Take CHICAGO WHITE SOX! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-03-20 | Spurs v. 76ers -7 | 130-132 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 12 m | Show
San Antonio vs Philadelphia 8:05 76ers (-) over Spurs- The 76ers have to be the biggest enigma in the NBA as they appear to have a huge edge in talent over many clubs but just done seem to dominate they way most people think that should. San Antonio has two wins since the restart and has jumped from the 12th spot in the West to ninth and are two-games out of the eighth seed. The Sixers are 6-1 ATS following an ATS loss and are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings while the Spurs are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. Take PHILADELPHIA! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-03-20 | Indians v. Reds -133 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 28 m | Show |
Cleveland at Cincinnati 6:40 ET Reds over Indians- I love this game for a number of reasons including the pitching matchup. Sonny Gray (2-0, 0.71 ERA) has a record of 35 consecutive starts of allowing six hits or fewer and he has been outstanding in 2020 with 20 K's in just 12.2 innings work. The downer for Cincinnati is that they have lost 10 of 11 at home to the Indians but the Tribe are 8-22 as an underdog on the road. Take CINCINNATI! Thank you and Good Luck!
08-03-20 | Mets -124 v. Braves | 7-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 56 m | Show
New York Mets at Atlanta 7:10 ET Mets over Braves- Okay, here we go again! Jacob 'Cy' deGrom (0-0, 1.64 ERA) who may win the Cy Young award again without a win if the Mets don't put up some runs for him. This is a rematch of Opening day as Mike Soroka (0-0, 1.59) who is 4-0 with a 2.27 ERA lifetime against New York while deGrom is 5-4 with an ERA of 2.30 against the Braves. The mets won the opener 1-0 when deserter and escaped refugee Cespedes homered. Mets have lost five straight and Atlanta has won five in-a-row that changes tonight. Take NEW YORK METS!
08-03-20 | Raptors v. Heat +3.5 | 107-103 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 36 m | Show
Toronto vs Miami 1:30 ET Heat (+) over Raptors- By now with all that has happened to professional sports and the world in general I wonder how many people realize that the Raptors are still the defending NBA champions. They put the league on notice with a dominating 107-95 win over the Lakers on Saturday while Miami shut down Denver 125-95 with a stifling defense. Toronto who is just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games following a win by 10-points or more and are just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games against the Heat. Take MIAMI!
08-02-20 | Mavs v. Suns +6 | 115-117 | Win | 100 | 9 h 15 m | Show
Dallas vs Phoenix 9:00 ET Suns (+) over Mavericks- Phoenix posted a win in their first game in the restart as they handled the defenseless Wizards and won easily. In their first game back Dallas went overtime and fell to the Rockets 154-149. The Mavs blew a lead late in the fourth quarter are just 1-4 ATS in their last five as favorites and are 2-9 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Take PHOENIX!
08-02-20 | Bucks v. Rockets +5 | Top | 116-120 | Win | 100 | 9 h 60 m | Show |
Milwaukee vs Houston 8:30 ET Rockets (+) over Bucks- The Rockets opened the restart with an amazing 154-149 overtime win against Dallas and are determined to make a run at the brass ring this time around. Milwaukee has established that they are the best team in the NBA and have a win in the restart over Boston and now must meet another challenge in the high scoring Rockets. In what should be a great viewing game...take HOUSTON! |
