03-21-19 | Baylor +2 v. Syracuse | Top | 78-69 | Win | 100 | 25 h 51 m | Show |
#9 Baylor vs #8 Syracuse 10:00 ET Bears (+) over Orange- Both these clubs come limping into the Tournament and are off of what for each of them can be considered disappointing seasons. Syracuse has dropped five of their last seven going 2-5 ATS while Baylor has lost their last four and has just one 'cover' in their last 11 games going 1-8-2 ATS. The Orange have been 'hit' if not run over with late season turmoil and emotions, it's just something they will carry until the season ends Thursday night. The Bears are not big but they led the Big-12 in rebounding margin grabbing 6.3 more boards per game than their opponents. Take BAYLOR!
03-19-19 | St Francis PA v. Indiana -17.5 | Top | 72-89 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 22 m | Show |
St. Francis (PA) at Indiana 7:00 ET Hoosiers (-) over Red Flash- Indiana who has lost 13 of their last 18 after a great start to the season (12-2) come limping into the NIT and opened as a 19.5-point favorite. This of course was bet down immediately because of the high stature of their opponent St. Francis better known as Red Flash and will might find out why real soon. The Hoosiers actually closed the regular season strong winning their last four while going 6-0 ATS in their last six overall before falling to Ohio State in the Big Ten tourney. The fact of the matter is the Red Flash will be 'Red-Faced' (Is that considered racist in our academia) after the way the Hoosiers vent on the court. They have to believe that this is their chance to atone for such a disappointing season. Take INDIANA!
03-17-19 | Auburn +5 v. Tennessee | Top | 84-64 | Win | 100 | 11 h 59 m | Show |
Auburn vs Tennessee 1:00 ET Tigers (+) over Volunteers- Oh my, and here we go! Bruce Pearl appears with the Tigers looking to shock the Volunteers in the SEC Championship game, something few anticipated four days ago. But now, Auburn has won seven straight and eight of nine and they can do something they haven't done in 34 years. Personally, I am very pleased with Tennessee after their 82-78 Megabucks win over Kentucky yesterday and I would think that an emotional win like that has to wear on you. One's adrenalin and natural juices are pumping until it over comes you even long after the game is over. Hey, Tennessee hasn't won the SEC championship in 40-years themselves. Maybe that's the only real shot Auburn may have because they are 4-10 ATS in the last 14 meetings and the favorite is 18-6 ATS in the last 24 encounters. So, here's the thing, all that, is just going to make this winner that much sweeter! Take AUBURN!
03-16-19 | Tennessee +2 v. Kentucky | Top | 82-78 | Win | 100 | 5 h 5 m | Show |
Tennessee vs Kentucky 3:30 ET Volunteers (+) over Wildcats- These two clubs have battled all year both finished 15-3 in SEC action second only to LSU. After a shaky start the Wildcats have won 17 of their last 19 with their only losses to Tennessee and LSU. Tennessee is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings and I expect a tough defensive game with the Volunteers getting it done. Take TENNESSEE!
03-15-19 | Duke v. North Carolina +3 | Top | 74-73 | Win | 100 | 11 h 5 m | Show |
Duke vs North Carolina 9:30 ET Tar Heels (+) over Blue Devils- Well, this is the match-up we all really wanted to see regardless of Virginia's standing. It is said that one of the most difficult things in college basketball among the majors is for one quality team to defeat another three straight time in a single season. North Carolina has defeated the Blue Devils twice this year the first time of course when Zion Williamson went down 35-seconds into the contest and the final game of the season when the Tar Heels won 79-70 as Duke played without Williamson once again. I expect most of the action to come down on the Devils and it mat be a mistake. Take NORTH CAROLINA!
03-14-19 | Texas +3 v. Kansas | Top | 57-65 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 58 m | Show |
Texas vs Kansas 9:00 ET Longhorns (+) over Jayhawks- Kansas who failed to win the Big-12 regular season championship for the first time in 14 years is seeded third the lowest its been since 2003-04. Part of the issue four the Jayhawks this season is that they are playing four freshman for the first time under Bill Self with the other starter a junior transfer from Memphis (Dedric Lawson) who lead the conference in scoring and rebounding. Texas has had another mediocre season under Shaka Smart and is 61-59 in four years since arriving and the alumni pressure to win is starting to surface. The Longhorns who split the season series with the Jayhawks can win here as the near full-season absence of Kansas center Udoka Azubuike has been noticeable. Take TEXAS!
03-13-19 | Notre Dame +7.5 v. Louisville | Top | 53-75 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 36 m | Show |
Notre Dame vs. Louisville 7:00 ET Fighting Irish (+) over Cardinals- Winning yesterday's 'Highest-Rated' Megabucks over Georgia Tech 78-71 Notre Dame ended a seven-game losing streak. Seeded No. 15 the Fighting Irish are now up against No. 7 seed Louisville who received a first round bye. These two faced each other once this season with the Cardinals winning 75-61 with a commanding 49-30 rebounding advantage. Louisville did not finish their ACC season well losing four of five with the lone win against the Irish. That changes again. Take NOTRE DAME!
03-12-19 | Notre Dame -1.5 v. Georgia Tech | Top | 78-71 | Win | 100 | 5 h 53 m | Show |
Notre Dame vs Georgia Tech 2:30 ET Fighting Irish over Yellow Jackets- If there ever as a 'Don't make sense' game this one qualifies. Let's look at the 'numbers.' The Irish enter losers of their last seven both SU and ATS and are 12-19 ATS on the season where as Georgia Tech is 19-12 ATS so that is one thing that makes me wonder why ND is favored, but the more startling fact is that they are 1-11-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings against the Yellow Jackets and still come up the favorite here. Add that the Irish are 6-13 ATS in their last overall. This is just not right to me...take NOTRE DAME!
03-10-19 | Iowa v. Nebraska +1.5 | Top | 91-93 | Win | 100 | 5 h 0 m | Show |
Iowa at Nebraska 2:00 ET Cornhuskers (+) over Hawkeyes- There is a huge difference in the level of play between these two with Iowa of course having a much better club but they do have something in common. Both have been money burners for their backers as Iowa is 0-7 ATS in their last seven games overall and the Cornhuskers are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 overall. So, okay, where do we find the key to the winner?Let's look at head-to-head action first and see that the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings but the key is their home and away records. The Huskers are 11-5 SU as hosts while Iowa is just 4-5 on the road and more importantly they allow only 63.6 points at home over 16 points less than on the road. Take NEBRASKA!
03-09-19 | Duke +4.5 v. North Carolina | Top | 70-79 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 32 m | Show |
Duke at North Carolina 6:00 ET Blue Devils (+) over Tar Heels- Oh, what a good one this should be as No. 4 Duke visits No. 3 North Carolina in Chapel Hill. We should all remember the first matchup when the Tar Heels whipped Duke 88-72 as Zion Williamson's shoe exploded as some 11-year old in China didn't complete the Nike stitching properly. Without Williamson the Blue Devils are not as formidable but still are a beast when on the court as they are 18-7-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings overall against Carolina including 9-3-1 ATS as visitors in the series. Although Carolina is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 this one should come down to the final buzzer with the Blue Devils prevailing against the 'number.' Take DUKE!
03-09-19 | Tennessee v. Auburn +3 | Top | 80-84 | Win | 100 | 3 h 20 m | Show |
Tennessee at Auburn 12:00 ET Tigers (+) over Volunteers- The 'numbers' behind the Volunteers are season are impressive indeed as they are worthy of their No. 4 ranking. At 27-3 straight-up Tennessee has proven their medal with a huge revenge win over Kentucky and a 17-8 ATS road record in their last 25 games away from Knoxville. Auburn at 21-9 is winning at a 70% clip and are 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings and yet have won just two of the last 13 meetings SU. The 'price' of this contest is way to short and the oddsmakers are looking for a Tigers upset and so am I...Take AUBURN!
03-05-19 | Kansas v. Oklahoma +1.5 | Top | 68-81 | Win | 100 | 12 h 25 m | Show |
Kansas at Oklahoma 9:00 ET Sooners (+) over Jayhawks- My first thoughts when analyzing the Jayhawks is that they are just not the same quality as pervious seasons. After losing their big man early in the year they haven't fully recovered as their 13-16 overall ATS record would indicate as they are just 3-7 ATS in true road games and 5-9 ATS in all game outside of Lawerence. Oklahoma has two games left before the Big-12 tourney to impress the NCAA Big Dance selection committee. The Sooners are just 3-19 overall against Kansas in the last 22 meetings but have been great ATS 18-8-3 ATS this season and 6-2 ATS as home dogs. Take OKLAHOMA!
03-04-19 | Kansas State v. TCU +2 | Top | 64-52 | Loss | -109 | 13 h 32 m | Show |
Kansas State at TCU 9:00 ET Horned Frogs (+) over Wildcats- Well although I was 2-1 with 'our' Top-3 NCAA Best Bets on Saturday, I actually blew it by using the Horned Frogs 'on top' and was blown out by Texas Tech. Now, they get to host No.15 Kansas State who they have struggled against the last five seasons. Kansas State has 'covered' the last two meetings and six of the last eight and is 10-2-1 ATS in their last 13 contests in the Big-12. Although TCU is 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall they are 6-2 ATS at home against teams with winning road records and the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. With the 'line' under a 3-point bucket the Wildcats become a 'suckers' bet. Take TCU!
03-03-19 | Michigan v. Maryland +1.5 | Top | 69-62 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 53 m | Show |
Michigan at Maryland 3:45 ET Terrapins (+) over Wolverines- With a victory today Michigan would set a school record for wins with 26 in a single season as they are off of their biggest win margin of the year defeating Nebraska 82-53. The Wolverines have already defeated the Terrapins two weeks ago 65-52 at home and now face a young Maryland squad that is eager for revenge. On the opposite side the Terps are off of their worst loss of the year to Penn State and will be ready for the Wolves here. Maryland is 14-2 SU at home and 8-1 ATS after an ATS loss in their last nine outings. Take the TERRAPINS!
03-02-19 | North Carolina v. Clemson +4.5 | Top | 81-79 | Win | 100 | 10 h 39 m | Show |
North Carolina at Clemson 6:00 ET Tigers (+) over Tar Heels- North Carolina has risen to No. 5 in the polls as they have won four straight since their loss to Virginia but have won 12 of their last 13 straight-up and are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games. Continuing with the Heels the favorite is 9-3-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings. So with these 'numbers' I am surprised NC is such a meager favorite. Clemson is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games and are 12-3 straight-up as hosts. The Tigers defense (63.8) is third in the ACC while the Heels offense is number one. Still, this 'price' is way too low...take CLEMSON!
02-28-19 | USC +3.5 v. UCLA | Top | 88-93 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 58 m | Show |
Southern California at UCLA 9:00 ET Trojans (+) over Bruins- These two PAC-12 cross-town rivals are having disappointing seasons but can gain some bragging rights (at least in Los Angeles) with a win here. USC has already taken the Bruins down at home six weeks ago winning 80-67 (-2) as the host club is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings. USC has struggled on the road of late (2-6 ATS) but UCLA is 8-20 ATS against teams with winning records. The Bruins program has been in turmoil since the Ball brothers arrival and the departure of coach Steve Alford in mid-Season. Take USC!
02-26-19 | Wisconsin v. Indiana +2 | Top | 73-75 | Win | 100 | 10 h 58 m | Show |
Wisconsin at Indiana 9:00 ET Hoosiers (+) over Badgers- This has been (even at 13-14) the worst Indiana basketball that I can remember ever seeing as they have lost 12 of their last 13 after a 12-2 start. Wisconsin has had struggles of their own as they are the least impressive ranked team that I have seen this season. The Badgers have won the last five meetings going 4-1 ATS and are 16-5 ATS in the last 21 meetings including 8-1 ATS at Indiana. Indiana has been so bad ATS going 3-10 ATS in their last 13 overall while Wisconsin is 13-4-1 ATS in their last eighteen road games. Still, most of this damage was done against the Hoosiers when they were a favorite and this year's edition lines are reversed. Take INDIANA!
02-24-19 | Michigan State +4.5 v. Michigan | Top | 77-70 | Win | 100 | 6 h 36 m | Show |
Michigan State at Michigan 3:45 ET Spartans (+) over Wolverines- Upon further review I have revised my initial thoughts on just how good Michigan actually is. The Wolves have won their last 22 home games and have taken the past three against the Spartans but State has some support with trends. To start with Michigan State who has won their last four games after a 3-game skid is 12-4 ATS in their last 16 against the Big Ten and they are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games and the road team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings. Take the SPARTANS!
02-23-19 | Iowa State v. TCU +2 | Top | 72-75 | Win | 100 | 14 h 56 m | Show |
Iowa State at Texas Christian 2:00 ET Horned Frogs (+) over Cyclones- Both these clubs have gone south of late with TCU on a 3-game losing streak and a 1-6 ATS slide. Iowa State came up with a big win against Kansas State last Saturday but are 1-4 ATS in their last five. The Horned Frogs have won the last three meetings including a 92-83 win in Ames as a 10-point dog two weeks ago. TCU is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games and with them being such a short dog here against a ranked team I think they do it again. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN!
02-21-19 | Oregon State v. UCLA -125 | Top | 67-68 | Win | 100 | 11 h 54 m | Show |
Oregon State at UCLA 11:00 ET Bruins over Beavers- There are numbers (trends) that may affect Oregon State as they just completed a sweep of intra-state rival Oregon for the first time in nine years. I'm sure that the Beavers are ecstatic about their wins over the Ducks but now face a Bruins team that they have already defeated at home (79-66) not completed a sweep of UCLA in 31 years. A a matter of fact they have lost 13 of the last 14 at Pauley Pavillon. The Bruins are 10-5 SU at home and get another victory here. Take UCLA!
02-20-19 | North Carolina v. Duke -9 | Top | 88-72 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 13 m | Show |
North Carolina at Duke 9:00 ET Blue Devils (-) over Tar Heels- #1 Duke has won their last nine while #9 North Carolina has won 8-of-9 and is 6-2 ATS in last eight games overall and 15-6 ATS in the last 21 meetings. But the Blue Devils are 5-3-1 in the last nine meetings. The road team has played well as they are 17-7-1 ATS in the last 25 meetings. Those are some very impressive trends. These are the two top scoring teams in the ACC with the Heels at 87.5 and the Devils at 88.4 at home. Carolina 8-1 SU in true road games and 6-0 ATS in ACC action while Duke is 13-1 SU at home and 8-6 ATS. This 'price' is extremely high and I believe for good reason. Take DUKE!
02-19-19 | Maryland +2.5 v. Iowa | Top | 66-65 | Win | 100 | 9 h 26 m | Show |
Maryland at Iowa 8:00 ET Terrapins (+) over Hawkeyes- My first impression of this match-up is that the 'line' looks very suspect as No. 19 Iowa hosts an unranked Maryland squad. When you consider that Iowa is 13-2 straight-up at home a think this line is way too low and a sucker 'bet' for some reason. The Terrapins are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games and are 7-1 ATS after a straight-up loss and they are coming off of a 65-52 loss to Michigan. Iowa is off of a buzzer beating non-cover at Rutgers Saturday and have won their last four straight-up and this line is way low. Take MARYLAND!
02-18-19 | Virginia v. Virginia Tech +6.5 | Top | 64-58 | Win | 100 | 9 h 0 m | Show |
Virginia at Virginia Tech 7:00 ET Hokies (+) over Cavaliers- No. 4 Virginia would possibly be undefeated if they did not have to play Duke who has defeated the Cavaliers twice this season for their only losses. No. 16 Virginia Tech fell at Virginia 81-59 on January 15 when both clubs were ranked in the Top-10. The Cavs lead the series all-time 92-56 but are just 21-30 in Blacksburg and these two have split their series on each of the past three years. Although Virginia is 20-6 ATS on the road the home team is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings. With a bit of revenge on their minds the Hokies get it done. Take VIRGINIA TECH!
02-17-19 | Villanova v. St. John's +4.5 | Top | 65-71 | Win | 100 | 8 h 31 m | Show |
Villanova at St. John's 5:00 ET Red Storm (+) over Wildcats-Villanova has dominated the Big East the past few seasons while going 43-18 ATS in their last 61 games overall and are 11-1 in conference play. The Wildcats have won four of the last five against the Red Storm including a 76-71 home win the first week of January when St. John's blew an 11-point second half lead. But, although Villanova has won four of the last five meetings straight-up the Red Storm is 4-1 ATS in the last five. With this game at Madison Square Garden the Storm's fan base will be raucous. Take ST. JOHN'S!
02-16-19 | Iowa State +3 v. Kansas State | Top | 78-64 | Win | 100 | 16 h 8 m | Show |
Iowa State at Kansas State 4:00 ET Cyclones (+) over Wildcats- Kansas State after starting Big-12 play 0-2 have reeled off nine straight conference wins with an SEC loss thrown in the mix and are 10-1 SU at home but just 4-7 ATS. Iowa State is off a crushing loss at home against TCU last Saturday and have had a week to stew over what could have been. The Wildcats are 25-10 ATS in their last 35 Big-12 games including 3-0 ATS in the last three meetings with the Cyclones including a 58-57 win in January. The fact that K.State is 10-1 at home and such a small favorite tells me the odds makers give the Cyclones a shot at winning this game outright. Take IOWA STATE!
02-14-19 | Arizona +3.5 v. Utah | Top | 76-83 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 34 m | Show |
Arizona at Utah 9:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Utes- It appears that the issues that the U.of Arizona has off the court have affected their play on the court. The Wildcats have lost five straight their longest losing streak in 35 years and are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall. Utah has been disappointing as well this season and are just 3-8 ATS at home and have been dominated by the Cats since joining the Pac-12. Arizona has won four straight in the series and 13 of 14 including an 84-81 OT win the first week of January and are 6-2 ATS in their last eight meetings in Utah. Take ARIZONA!
02-11-19 | Virginia +1.5 v. North Carolina | Top | 69-61 | Win | 100 | 8 h 11 m | Show |
Virginia at North Carolina 7:00 ET Cavaliers over Tar Heels- This will be a meeting between a rock and a hard place as one of the nation's top offensive teams North Carolina will host the nation's top defensive team in an ACC showdown among a pair of Top-10 squads. The Tar Heels have won their last seven and have defeated the Cavaliers 18 of the last 19 meetings in Chapel Hill and the home team is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings. With these impressive trends I would expect the Heels to come up favored but the odds makers sees it differently an 'they' usually have a good reason. Take VIRGINIA!
02-10-19 | Cincinnati +4.5 v. Houston | Top | 58-65 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 6 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Houston 4:00 ET Bearcats (+) over Cougars- Both of these AAC clubs are ranked with the home and favored Cougars at No.12 and Cincinnati No. 23. Both clubs enter today's battle 9-1 in conference play and are meetings for the first time this season. The Bearcats enter on a eight game win streak while Houston has reeled off seven straight wins and are 5-1 ATS in their last six games and 34-16-2 ATS in their last 52 games overall. Both team play tough defense with Cincy taking two of three last season including the conference championship 56-55. Look for this one to come down to the final buzzer a well, take the points. Take CINCINNATI!
02-09-19 | Auburn +2.5 v. LSU | Top | 78-83 | Loss | -109 | 12 h 9 m | Show |
Auburn at L.S.U. 2:00 ET War Eagles (+) over Tigers- LSU has been playing great basketball winning 9-of-10 including a 92-88 overtime win at Mississippi State on Wednesday with their only loss 90-89 to Arkansas. Auburn meanwhile has rallied and won their last three after a 3-game losing streak but has fallen from the Top-25. Seems a bit 'light' for the No. 22 ranked team playing at home to be such a meager favorite for a team that is 11-1 SU at home against a team that is 1-4 SU in true road games. Add that the road team is 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings and that the War Eagles are 20-8 ATS in the last 28 meetings. It feels like a 'suckers' bet to me...Take AUBURN!
02-07-19 | Houston v. UCF +2.5 | Top | 77-68 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 13 m | Show |
Houston at Central Florida 7:00 ET Panthers (+) over Cougars- Houston who enters Orlando on a six-game winning streak is 21-1 on the season earning a No. 12 ranking and is 9-1 ATS in their last 10 road games. Central Florida on the other hand has won 31 home games in-a-row which is the nation's longest active streak. The Knights have won three of their last four and have a huge presence in the middle with 7-6 Tacko Fall who averages 2.8 blocks and will force the Cougars to adjust their shots. Central is just 5-44 All-time against ranked teams but a pair of those wins came the last two seasons. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA!
02-06-19 | Clemson v. Georgia Tech +4 | Top | 65-42 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 50 m | Show |
Clemson at Georgia Tech 7:00 ET Yellow Jackets (+) over Tigers- Streaking clubs that are moving in opposite directions clash in Atlanta where Georgia Tech has dropped their last three games will host Clemson who has won their last two and five of six. The Tigers bounced back after losing five of their first six ACC games but are still just 1-4 Su in true road games and 3-6 ATS overall away from home. Georgia Tech is 15-7 ATS on the season including 9-5 SU at home. The key factor here is the Yellow Jackets record as hosts going 19-8 ATS in their last 27 in Atlanta. Take GEORGIA TECH!
02-05-19 | St. John's +7 v. Marquette | Top | 70-69 | Win | 100 | 8 h 19 m | Show |
St. John's at Marquette 8:00 ET Red Storm (+) over Golden Eagles- These two met on New Years Day and the Red Storm destroyed the Golden Eagles 89-69 and are now 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings. Since that defeat No. 9 Marquette has reeled off eight straight wins going 7-1 ATS including 5-0 ATS in the last five overall. The former Warriors are 14-0 Su at home (11-3 ATS) 7-1 ATS in their last eight home games and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall. St. Johns was routed by Duke 91-61 Saturday and look to rebound against a quality team that they know they can play with as they already handed the Eagles one of their three losses. It happens again tonight. Take ST. JOHN'S!
02-02-19 | Kentucky v. Florida +4 | Top | 65-54 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 56 m | Show |
Kentucky at Florida 4:00 ET Gators (+) over Wildcats- It has been a bit of a struggle for Florida this season as they are 4-4 in their last eight while the Wildcats seem to improve each time out winning their last seven and 9-of-10. One thing though the Gators like getting ready for the spotlight when Kentucky is around as they are 3-1 SU and ATS in the past two seasons. The favorite has made the money seven of the last eight meetings but the home team is 7-2 ATS in the last nine. This could be a stinker with both teams playing such tough defense but Florida only allows 62.7 points per contest and can surprise late. Take FLORIDA!
02-01-19 | Michigan v. Iowa +5 | Top | 59-74 | Win | 100 | 6 h 12 m | Show |
Michigan at Iowa 7:00 ET Hawkeyes (+) over Wolverines- No. 5 ranked Michigan has rebounded from their single loss at Wisconsin with three straight wins and are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Wolverines have been dominate in Big Ten action going 34-16-1 ATS in their last 51 conference games and are 22-8-1 in their last 31 road games. Iowa has dropped their last two games following a five game winning streak but is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings at home versus Michigan. This is just a good spot for the Hawkeyes to perform well. Take IOWA!
01-31-19 | Xavier +3 v. Georgetown | Top | 73-80 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 4 m | Show |
Xavier at Georgetown 8:00 ET Musketeers (+) over Hoyas- Georgetown came up with the gams they want beating St. John's on Sunday as Patrick Ewing finally gets to gloat over Chris Mullins (believe me Ewing will NOT gloat over Mullins as he has always carried himself with class. Xavier has dropped their last three but it isn't like they didn't show up. Fighting hard they succumbed to Villanova 85-75 and then dropped a pair at home tp Providence 64-62 and faltering down the stretch in losing to Marquette 87-82 on Saturday. I really think the Musketeers here are they are hungry off of three straight losses and they have had great success over Georgetown winning 14 of 18 meetings including six straight Big East meetings. The Hoyas should return to character as they are 14-38-1 ATS in their last 53 home game and the road team is 7-2 ATS and thats enough for me. Take XAVIER!
01-30-19 | Illinois +6 v. Minnesota | Top | 75-86 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 38 m | Show |
Illinois at Minnesota 9:00 ET Illini (+) over Golden Gophers- Whoa, come on, not here, I really don't want to, but like Texas last night we must. Will somebody set me straight about this Illini team and I imagine that I will learn more tonight. I just saw Minnesota control and defeat Iowa Monday night while Illinois was shocking the Big Ten at Maryland 78-67 and have already ponded the Gophers 95-68 at home. Now most would expect the revenge factor to work for Minnesota but they off of a big home win over Iowa but that is not the norm. Minnesota is not only 2-6 ATS in their last eight at home they are 8-17 ATS in the last 25 versus the Big Ten. Add that the Illini are 21-9 ATS in the last 30 meetings. Take ILLINOIS!
01-28-19 | Duke v. Notre Dame +15 | Top | 83-61 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 45 m | Show |
Duke at Notre Dame 7:00 ET Fighting Irish (+) over Blue Devils- I wonder if the beating the Irish took in the FBS championship has had an effect on the basketball team...nah. But, Notre Dame has lost four straight and is just 1-8 ATS in their last nine games. Although the 'Domers' are 10-4 straight-up at home they are just 4-10 ATS as hosts and were just blown out 82-57 by Virginia on Saturday. That loss will have them focused tonight against No. 2 Duke who is putting it together again. Still, at home with one of the nation's elite in town the Irish will show you their best. Take NOTRE DAME!
01-27-19 | Michigan State v. Purdue +3 | Top | 63-73 | Win | 100 | 13 h 41 m | Show |
Michigan State at Purdue 1:00 ET Boilermakers (+) over Spartans- Ya know a guy could have gotten rich or gone broke if they stayed with or played against the Spartans as they have won and 'covered' nine straight Big Ten contests this season and have won 14 straight overall. Number five on Michigan State's hit list was a 77-59 won over the Boilermakers three weeks ago as -7 favorites. Purdue has turned thing around winning their last four and seven of eight while going 9-0 straight-up at home. MSU has a pair of other trends supporting their side as they re of course 16-5 ATS in their last 21 and the road team in this series ins 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings but the Spartans haven't won in Purdue since 2014. These two are so even that they own the Big Ten best recored the past five years MSU 60-21 and Purdue 29-21. This time it's PURDUE!
01-26-19 | Kansas State v. Texas A&M +4.5 | Top | 53-65 | Win | 100 | 5 h 39 m | Show |
Kansas State at Texas A&M 2:00 ET Aggies (+) over Wildcats- Kansas State enters College Station riding a five-game Big-12 winning streak including their third win over a Top-25 ranked team Texas Tech holding them to their lowest out put in four years. while the Aggies have lost six of seven a and are just 2-8 ATS at home while the Wildcats are just 2-3 straight up in true road games. Although K. State leads the series 18-8 A&M is 7-3 straight-up as hosts against the Wildcats. Texas TEXAS A&M!
01-26-19 | Marquette v. Xavier +3 | Top | 87-82 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 38 m | Show |
Marquette at Xavier 2:00 ET Musketeers (+) over Golden Eagles- The fact that this is a Big East matchup still has me wondering how teams based in the mid-west are part of the Big East but Marquette enters Cincinnati to play Xavier this afternoon. The Golden Eagles lead the all-time series 50-24 but have lost nine of the 13 meetings since Xavier joined the Big East. A small favorite on the road No. 11 Marquette in just 2-4 ATS away from Milwaukee while the Musketeers are 9-3 straight-up ay home. Take XAVIER!
01-25-19 | Michigan v. Indiana +5 | Top | 69-46 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 8 m | Show |
Michigan at Indiana 6:30 ET Hoosiers (+) over Wolverines- Michigan is off of their worst shooting game of the year but managed to defeat Minnesota 59-57 hitting just 34% of their shots. The Wolverines beat Indiana 74-63 three weeks ago and have won the last five meetings by an average of 14 points. The Hoosiers have dropped five straight but are 10-1 straight-up at home and are 15-7 ATS in their last 22 rod games. Michigan has dominated in Big Ten action going 25-9-1 ATS in the last 35 conference games and they are 21-8-1 ATS in their last 30 road games. Indiana is struggling but the underdog is 7-3 ATS and they should be ready here. Take the HOOSIERS!
01-22-19 | Mississippi State +7 v. Kentucky | Top | 55-76 | Loss | -113 | 8 h 46 m | Show |
Mississippi State at Kentucky 7:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Wildcats- No. 8 Kentucky is playing their best ball of the season having won their last four SEC contest and is off an 82-80 win at No. 14 Auburn. Tonight's game is sandwiched between the Wildcats win over the Tigers and a Saturday meeting against No. 9 Big-12 power Kansas. Mississippi State after dropping their first two SEC contests has bounced back winning their last two against Florida and at Vanderbilt. Although Kentucky is 6-1-1 ATS at home in the last eight meetings this is a better Bulldogs club that is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games. Wildcats are just 4-6 as hosts this season. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE!
01-21-19 | Virginia Tech +4.5 v. North Carolina | Top | 82-103 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 26 m | Show |
Virginia Tech at North Carolina 7:00 ET Hokies (+) over Tar Heels- When I first saw this matchup I became a bit confused as my first instinct was that North Carolina was the higher ranked team but this is not so as No. 9 Virginia Tech visits the No. 13 ranked Tar Heels. The Hokies at 15-2 broke a seven-games losing streak against the Heels in their last meeting at Blacksburg and that brings the all-time series advantage to Carolina 31-7. Tech bounced back after a 81-59 drubbing by No. 1 Virginia last week but rebounded with a huge win over Wake Forest last time out. The 'price' on this contest tells me the Hokies have a chance to win this game on the floor. Take VIRGINIA TECH!
01-19-19 | Kansas v. West Virginia +5 | Top | 64-65 | Win | 100 | 5 h 38 m | Show |
Kansas at West Virginia 2:00 ET Mountaineers (+) over Jayhawks- Not quite sure what to make of Bill Huggins squad at 8-9 and winless in Big-12 play (0-5). Kansas would certainly be a contender with Udoka Azuuike at center but they have rebounded well in his absence and have reeled off three straight. The Jayhawks won all three meetings last season but hip hip for the Mountaineers as the home team is 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings. Huggins sez 'he's embarrassed'...they will play hard Saturday. Take WEST VIRGINIA!
01-18-19 | Northwestern v. Rutgers +1.5 | Top | 65-57 | Loss | -108 | 6 h 59 m | Show |
Northwestern at Rutgers 7:00 ET Scarlet Knights (+) over Wildcats- A pair of Big Ten also rans meet in New Jersey as Rutgers hosts Northwestern as both teams enter this contest with two straight losses. Both cubs enter 1-5 in conference play with the Knights having a 7-3 SU record at home while the Wildcats are 0-3 both SU and ATS in true road games. Although Northwestern has won nine of 11 meetings in the series Rutgers won at home last season in the only meeting between the two. The Wildcats are just 2-7 ATS in their last nine road games and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 Friday night games. Take RUTGERS!
01-17-19 | Michigan State v. Nebraska +2.5 | Top | 70-64 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 21 m | Show |
Michigan State at Nebraska 8:00 ET Cornhuskers (+) over Spartans- Something has got to 'give' tonight. No. 6 Michigan State has won 10 straight games since their overtime loss to Louisville including the last four without standout junior guard Joshua Langford and guard Kyle Ahrens for the last two. This will thin out the Spartans back court against a now formidable foe. Nebraska is 9-0 SU at home (6-1-1 ATS) this season and have won 20 in-a-row at Pinnacle Bank Arena. This is where the numbers get good as the Cornhuskers are 20-6-1 ATS in their last 27 home games while MSU has won 18 straight Big Ten games and are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games overall. To me the key factor here is the home court advantage and the vast improvement of the Nebraska program as they are 18-6 ATS in their last 24 versus the Big Ten Take NEBRASKA!
01-16-19 | Iowa v. Penn State -125 | Top | 89-82 | Loss | -125 | 5 h 2 m | Show |
Iowa at Penn State 7:00 ET Nittany Lions over Hawkeyes- Here we go again...the No. 24 ranked team Iowa is 14-3 straight-up with three straight Big Ten wins and is an underdog to a club that is 7-10 overall and 0-6 in Big Ten play and have lost their last four entering tonights action. Iowa has won eight of their last nine games and coach Fran McCaffery's club will be most likely be without leading scorer and rebounder Tyler Cook (17.1 points and 8.3 rebounds). Penn State won both meetings last season and are actually 5-3 SU at home while Iowa in 1-2 in true road games. Although he Lions are 2-8-1 ATS overall in their last 11 games the Hawkeyes are just 4-11-1 ATS in their last 16 road games. Making Penn State the favorite tells me (I hope) that they get the Money here. Take PENN STATE!
01-15-19 | Florida +4.5 v. Mississippi State | Top | 68-71 | Win | 100 | 7 h 24 m | Show |
Florida at Mississippi State 7:00 ET Gators (+) over Bulldogs- Both these clubs are off to disappointing starts as Florida is 1-2 in SEC play and the Bulldogs are 0-2. Mississippi State was just upset by arch rival Mississippi on Saturday as a 6-point favorite against a team that had won 11 straightI found that confusing ('We' foolishly passed the Rebels). What I did post was the Gators as they fell short against #3 Tennessee 78-67. Now, here's the rub Ole Miss was 13-2 winners of 11 in-a-row and the Bulldogs ranked No. 24 with six and now Florida a meager 9-6 in just a 3-point dog. Florida must do it with defense as they score just 58.5 points per game on the road. Gators have won eight straight in the series. Take FLORIDA!
01-14-19 | Wisconsin +3.5 v. Maryland | Top | 60-64 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 4 m | Show |
Wisconsin at Maryland 8:30 ET Badgers (+) over Terrapins- Maryland has won five straight and will be hosting a struggling Badgers squad that is disappointing at 11-5 and are playing as a after losing at home in overtime to Purdue. The people in Madison were expecting this Wisconsin team to contend for the Final-Four and it looks now like they will be fourth in the Big Ten. Maryland (14-3) have built their resume by going 10-2 SU at home although they are just 3-8-1 ATS as hosts while the Badgers are 10-2 ATS on the road. Add they the underdog is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings give me enough. Take WISCONSIN!
01-12-19 | Nevada v. Fresno State +3.5 | Top | 74-64 | Loss | -105 | 17 h 35 m | Show |
Nevada-Reno at Fresno State 8:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Wolf Pack- Nevada was 14-0 and cruising along at No. 6 in the nation and then went to New Mexico where the Lobos waylaid the Wolf Pack 85-58. They were fortunate to have scheduled San Jose State home and the crushed the Spartans 92-53 as a 27.5-point favorite. Now, it's back to the unfriendly road where they are 4-3-1 ATS while Fresno State is 8-1 straight-up at home. The Bulldogs have won their last three including a clutch 78-77 win at Utah State and are 3-0 in the MWC while the Pack is 2-1. The Bulldogs are 6-2 ATS in their last eight and will be looking to break a 3-game losing streak in this series. Take FRESNO STATE!
01-12-19 | Tennessee v. Florida +3.5 | Top | 78-67 | Loss | -104 | 15 h 33 m | Show |
Tennessee at Florida 6:00 ET Gators (+) over Volunteers- No. 3 ranked Tennessee (13-1, 2-0) rolls into Gainesville winning their last nine and covering their last three. The Volunteers like so many have loaded their schedule with home pasties and this is just their third true road game of the season with wins at Memphis and Missouri. Florida has split their pair of SEC games after a win at Arkansas and return home where they play their best defense allowing 60 points per game. At home the Gators chomp on Volunteers...Take FLORIDA!
01-09-19 | Houston v. Temple +1.5 | Top | 69-73 | Win | 100 | 7 h 21 m | Show |
Houston at Temple 7:00 ET Owls (+) over Cougars- No. 15 Houston is one of just three 'majors' that are undefeated (Virginia and Michigan) as they travel to Philadelphia to take on Temple who returns home to play their first game as hosts since Dec. 15. The Cougars have played their last seven at hone and this contest is just their second road contest. The Owls are 5-0 straight-up at home but are 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight at home when favored (which they are not here). Houston has had the best of this series as they are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings but this is a spot for an Owls upset. Take TEMPLE!
01-03-19 | NC State v. Miami-FL +2 | Top | 87-82 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 41 m | Show |
N. C. State at Miami-FL 7:00 ET Hurricanes (+) over Wolfpack- No. 19 N.C State has shown that they can play with the big boys as they have posted wins over then No. 7 Auburn 78-71 and have impressive wins over Vanderbilt and Penn State with their only defeat coming at Wisconsin 79-75. After a sluggish start Miami has gained confidence with three straight wins as they face their first ranked team this season. Hurricanes coach Jim Larranaga has his team 6-1 straight-up at home while the Wolfpack is 0-1 in true road games and as a matter of fact they are just 9-20 ATS in their last 29 road games. But the Hurricanes are just 11-29 ATS at home in their last 40 as hosts but the underdog is 10-3-2 ATS in the last 15 meetings. Take MIAMI!
01-02-19 | Texas Tech v. West Virginia +4.5 | Top | 62-59 | Win | 100 | 5 h 22 m | Show |
Texas Tech at West Virginia 7:00 ET Mountaineers (+) over Red Raiders- These two started the season in different positions as West Virginia was ranked No. 13 while Texas Tech was unranked and now, it is the Red Raiders who are 11-1 and ranked No. 11 with their only loss to Duke. The Mountaineers have struggled to keep their legs under them as they are 8-4 SU and an abysmal 2-9-1 ATS. Texas Tech is 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games while UWV has shown some life at home where they are 6-1 straight-up and have defeated the Raiders seven straight times to go along with 7-2 ATS against the Red Raiders in the last nine meetings. Take WEST VIRGINIA!
12-29-18 | Kentucky v. Louisville +2.5 | Top | 71-58 | Loss | -105 | 14 h 5 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA Bk 'Highest-Rated' Megabucks Kentucky at Louisville 2:00 ET 5* Cardinals (+) over Wildcats- Sometimes these games just fall into a pattern and if you can see it from a distance you might be able to make some money. It's a four week scenario that has Kentucky getting crushed by Duke and then North Carolina beating Duke and then Kentucky getting up to beat North Carolina and now it's Louisville turn to shine. Very quietly the Cardinals are a more than respectable 9-3 with wins at Seton Hall and over Michigan State. Wildcats just 1-2 away from home and this is their first true road game. Take LOUISVILLE!
12-22-18 | North Carolina v. Kentucky +2.5 | Top | 72-80 | Win | 100 | 17 h 18 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA 'Highest-Rated' Megabucks Kentucky vs North Carolina 5:15 ET Wildcats (+) over Tar Heels- Without a doubt this selection will be 'against the gain' for so many reasons starting with Kentucky's 3-9-2 ATS record against the Tar Heels. Both No. 9 North Carolina and the No. 19 Wildcats are 8-2 with KU coming in at 4-6 ATS while NC is 5-3-2 ATS. Kentucky opened their season getting pounded by Duke 118-74 (the largest KU loss ever) and only a 1-point loss at Seton Hall is their only blemish since going 8-1. NC was 'our' Highest-rated' Megabucks winner last week over Gonzaga and this week they fall to the Wildcats. Carolina has a 24-15 series lead but the Cats are 5-3 since John Calipari to the reins. Take KENTUCKY!
12-18-18 | Buffalo v. Syracuse -3.5 | Top | 71-59 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 12 m | Show |
Buffalo at Syracuse 7:00 ET Orange (-) over Bulls- Boy, does this match-up have an odd look. Here, is SUNY Buffalo (10-0) undefeated and ranked No.15 while floundering Syracuse (7-3) is reeling after losing outright 68-62 as a 10-point favorite against Old Dominion. In that loss the Orange blew a 13-point lead and were outscored by 16 in the second half. Buffalo dropped an 81-74 decision at Syracuse last season and claimed that they had a better team. Well, they will not be able to sneak up on the orange tonight. Take SYRACUSE!
12-15-18 | Gonzaga v. North Carolina -2.5 | Top | 90-103 | Win | 100 | 8 h 29 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA 'Highest-Rated' Megabucks Gonzaga at North Carolina 7:00 ET Tar Heels (-) over Bulldogs- Gonzaga has been impressive at 9-1 with wins over Duke, Arizona Washington and Creighton while their lone loss was to Tennessee on a neutral floor. The Bulldogs loss to the Vols dropped them out of the college top spot in the nation and Kansas moved in to No. 1. North Carolina has a pair of losses to Texas and to No. 5 Michigan. One thing that happens often in college or even professional sports is after a team has their 'mojo' disrupted it takes them a game or two to regain their momentum and confidence. Two season's ago the Tar Heels got the best of Gonzaga in the Final-4 Championship game 71-65 and will do it again as Roy Williams has criticized his team's effort of late and I'm sure they will respond here. Take NORTH CAROLINA!
12-15-18 | Villanova +7.5 v. Kansas | Top | 71-74 | Win | 100 | 18 h 46 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA BK Early-Bird Winner Villanova at Kansas 12:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Jayhawks- No. 1 Kansas will host the defending National Champion Villanova Wildcats and are look for revenge after the 95-79 beating inflicted bu the Wildcats in last year's semi in the Final-4. Villanova is off a loss to Big-5 rival Penn their first loss in the series in 25 games and in part, the Wildcats issues in that loss might be keyed to the fact that they were looking ahead to this contest. Kansas is 4-0 at home but is just 1-3 ATS but will be without center Udoka Azuibuike and that will weaken their interior. Villanova is 15-6 ATS in their last 21 games and will come to play here. Take the WILDCATS!
12-11-18 | Colorado v. New Mexico +5 | Top | 78-75 | Win | 100 | 9 h 27 m | Show |
Colorado at New Mexico 9:00 ET Lobos (+) over Buffaloes- The trends the surround this contest is urging this to be a 'no-play' and you will see what I mean as the Lobos are 0-7-1 ATS in their last eight against the Pac-12 and Colorado is 19-41-1 ATS in their last 61 games on the road. The Buffaloes are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in their last five and while New Mexico has dropped their last two getting blown out by St. Mary's and New Mexico State going 1-4 ATS in their last five. The Buffs won (-7.5) 75-57 as hosts last year and I expect the most solid reason I can give is that turn-about-is-fair-pay. Nah, Lobos light-up 3-pointers tonight...take NEW MEXICO!
12-09-18 | Tennessee +3.5 v. Gonzaga | Top | 76-73 | Win | 100 | 5 h 9 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA Megabucks Winner Tennessee vs. Gonzaga 3:00 ET Volunteers (+) over Bulldogs- Top ranked and undefeated Gonzaga seeks their tenth straight win to open the season are a fine 7-2 ATS. At 6-1 Tennessee is ranked No. 7 and return 11 of 13 players and have already had one big game experience when they surrendered a nine-point second half lead to Kansas. This game is at a neutral site in Phoenix and the Volunteers are 1-1 on neutral sites while Gonzaga is 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS. Tennessee is 4-4 straight-up when playing the No. 1 ranked team in the national. Take TENNESSEE!
12-08-18 | Louisville v. Indiana -4.5 | Top | 67-68 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 28 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA Megabucks Winner Louisville at Indiana 2:30 ET Hoosiers (-) Cardinals- Louisville has won their last three and are 4-0 ATS in their last four as they are considered the visitor although this game is at Madison Square Garden and Indiana is considered the home team. The Hoosiers have won four of their last five including their last two but had lost five straight ATS until their 64-62 win as a 3-point dog at Penn State. That makes a pair of two-point wins back-to-back and that strengthens character. The Cardinals have won three straight after a pair of losses to Tennessee and Marquette the last one a 86-41 beatdown of Central Arkansas, hardly a good workout. Louisville has been favored the last four meetings and the last time the Hoosiers were favored in the they won by 15 points. Take INDIANA!
12-06-18 | Maryland v. Purdue -8 | Top | 60-62 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 14 m | Show |
Maryland at Purdue 7:00 ET Boilermakers (-) over Terrapins- There are some conflicting 'numbers' here that could bring confusion when making an analysis of this matchup. Starting with the Boilermakers who have lost their last two and are just 7-18-2 ATS in their last 27 games in the Big Ten and are only 4-11 ATS in their last 15 home games. No. 23 Maryland is 7-1 straight up this season but just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. I believe this 'price' is a bit high as the oddsmakers are aware that Purdue have won four straight in this series. Take PURDUE!
12-05-18 | Temple v. Villanova -8 | Top | 59-69 | Win | 100 | 8 h 4 m | Show |
Temple at Villanova 8:30 ET Wildcats (-) over Owls- Villanova the defending National Champs are off to a sluggish start and have looked abominable at times including an embarrassing 73-46 loss to Michigan and an another embarrassing overtime loss to Furman. Since that loss the Wildcats have reeled off four straight road wins and now return home to host Big-5 rival Temple where they are 15-5 ATS in their last 20 games. The Wildcats have owned the Big-5 winning 23 straight including Saturday's 85-78 win against LaSalle. Temple enters this fray winners of their last three including a victories over Missouri and California but are in over their heads here. Take VILLANOVA!
12-04-18 | Michigan v. Northwestern +6.5 | Top | 62-60 | Win | 100 | 10 h 48 m | Show |
Michigan at Northwestern 9:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Wolverines- Sometimes I just wonder what the hell is going on! Here is Michigan (8-0) having played in the Final-Four Championship Game and have destroyed opponents by an average of 21 points and yet they are only ranked No. 5. Northwestern has played well at 6-2 and are off a 68-66 loss at Indiana while the Wolverines are off of three home games the last against Purdue. The Wildcats are 4-0 at home and both clubs play tough defense and I expect a tight contest. Take NORTHWESTERN!
11-30-18 | Oklahoma State v. Minnesota -4 | Top | 76-83 | Win | 100 | 8 h 57 m | Show |
Oklahoma State at Minnesota 10:00 Cowboys (+) over Golden Gophers- Minnesota opened the season 5-0 including wins over Utah, Washington and Texas A&M but when it can to their ACC matchup they fell 68-56 to Boston College last time out. Playing out of conference or just about anywhere for the Gophers has been ugly. They are 2-16 ATS against the Big-12 and just 8-21 ATS in their last 29 overall. Oklahoma State on the other hand defeated Memphis and No. 21 LSU last time while losing to NCAA champ Villanova last Friday. The Cowboys are good enough to win here. Take OKLAHOMA STATE!
11-29-18 | Alabama v. UCF -5.5 | Top | 64-70 | Win | 100 | 9 h 44 m | Show |
Alabama at Central Florida 7:00 ET Panthers (-) over Crimson Tide- Central Florida has waited for this matchup for the past two years and amazingly the Panthers are favored, unfortunately this is basketball and not football. Both clubs are 5-1 but that's where the similarity ends. The Tide are 1-5 ATS while C. Florida is 5-1 ATS. UCF lost their only game 80-79 to FAU while Alabama lost by 16 to Northeastern (not exactly a powerhouse). Could any of us imagine that the Panthers would favored over the Crimson but they have a weapon 'Bama can't handle, that is 7-6 Tacko Fall who has become a force in the middle. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA!
11-28-18 | Virginia v. Maryland +4 | Top | 76-71 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 24 m | Show |
Virginia at Maryland 7:30 ET Terrapins (+) over Cavaliers- A pair of ranked and unbeaten (6-0) clubs will totally different styles will battle it out in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at College Park, Maryland as the Terrapins host Virginia. The No. 4 ranked Cavaliers are known for defense under Tony Bennett and are at it again this season allowing just 49.3 points per contest. The Cavs off their 53-46 win over Big Ten rival Wisconsin in the Battle of the Bahamas Championship game and are 7-1 in the last eight meetings. This rivalry goes back to 1912 and Maryland has a huge 107-75 series lead. The Terrapins average 84.8 points per game and have a major advantage with the home floor. Take MARYLAND!
11-27-18 | Michigan State v. Louisville +5.5 | Top | 78-82 | Win | 100 | 8 h 13 m | Show |
Michigan State at Louisville 7:30 ET Cardinals (+) over Spartans- After dropping their opening game to Kansas 92-87 Tom Izzo has his No. 8 Spartans riding a five-game winning streak including the title in the Las Vegas Invitational defeating UCLA and Texas. Louisville opened with three wins but have dropped their last two to Tennessee and Marquette on the road and return home (3-0) to host Michigan State. A pair of small trends that back the Cardinals says that MSU is 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 true road games and Louisville is 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 versus the Big Ten. Take LOUISVILLE!
11-27-18 | Virginia Tech v. Penn State +3.5 | Top | 62-63 | Win | 100 | 8 h 36 m | Show |
Virginia Tech at Penn State 7:00 ET Nittany Lions (+) over Hokies- No. 12 Virginia Tech enters Bryce Jordan Center 5-0 with a perfect 4-0 ATS record. Penn State at 3-2 has been unimpressive but are 2-0 at home and are 16-7 ATS in their last 23 games. The Hokies are 3-0 ATS away from home this season but other then Purdue have had a weak schedule. The Nittany Lions are returning home after three straight on the road including their last performance against Bradley where they had their worst shooting night 28.8% in three years. Look for State to bounce back here. Take the NITTANY LIONS!
11-23-18 | Texas +5.5 v. Michigan State | Top | 68-78 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 45 m | Show |
Texas vs Michigan State 6:30 ET Longhorns (+) over Spartans- both clubs are on winning streak as the Longhorns are 5-0 on the season and Michigan State has won four straight since their opening loss to Kentucky. The Spartans got here with an easy 87-67 win over UCLA while Texas was 'our' 'Highest-Rated' winner 92-89 over North Carolina. The way these two won was completely different as the 'Horns trailed the Tar Heels 17-4 and fought their way back while Michigan State just routed the Bruins. MSU has been on a down trend since conference play started last season and are 5-12-2 ATS in their last 19 games overall. I expect this game to pay close will take the points...take TEXAS!
11-22-18 | Texas +7.5 v. North Carolina | Top | 92-89 | Win | 100 | 9 h 28 m | Show |
Texas vs North Carolina 7:30 ET Longhorns (+) over Tar Heels- When Skaka Smart left VCU to coach for Texas many thought there would be an instant turnaround but this is the year their 'backers' expect results. North Carolina is undefeated and won their first five games by an average of 30.6 points as they have played all five games at home. Texas believe it or not leads this series 7-3 and has won the last three meetings and seven of the last eight. The Tar Heels will be without point guard Seventh Woods who leads the team in assists will miss this contest because of a concussion received in practice Tuesday. Take TEXAS!
11-16-18 | St. John's v. Rutgers +3.5 | Top | 84-65 | Loss | -102 | 7 h 14 m | Show |
St. John's at Rutgers 7:00 ET Scarlet Knights (+) over Red Storm- This was supposed to be the 'coming-out' season for St. John's, Chris Mullin has been given time to establish his personality on this club as he enters his fourth season at the helm. But, as fate would have it, the Red Storm's lone experienced big man on the roster has surgery on his right knee Wednesday and already the 2-0 Johnnies are having to make adjustments. St. John's prides itself on their defense and they will need it to contain the Knights who scored 90- and 95 points in their two wins. First road game for the young team from Queens and the school that is considered the University of New Jersey...Take RUTGERS!
11-15-18 | Ohio State v. Creighton +2 | Top | 69-60 | Loss | -106 | 7 h 45 m | Show |
Ohio State at Creighton 7:00 ET Bluejays over Buckeyes- both clubs are 2-0 on the season with the Buckeyes getting the cash twice while the Bluejays are 0-2 ATS. Although these two have not met since 1972 but Creighton is 13-1 against the Big Ten in their last fourteen meetings. Creighton was predicted to finish ninth in the Big East and have just two starters returning. With all this stuff going on this game is a virtual pick-em and that lends me to take the home team. Take CREIGHTON!
04-02-18 | Michigan v. Villanova UNDER 145 | Top | 62-79 | Win | 100 | 12 h 51 m | Show |
Michigan vs Villanova 9:05 ET Wolverines/Wildcats-UNDER- I see and understand the Wildcats fire-power but in games of this magnitude player aren't as loose as previous contests. I expect Michigan to pressure the 'ball' no matter who has it when Villanova is on offense and they will stop the ball in the back court to avoid break-away baskets. The Wolverines are not the best shooting free throw team and probably will be below their average tonight. Play the UNDER!
03-31-18 | Kansas v. Villanova -5 | Top | 79-95 | Win | 100 | 22 h 1 m | Show |
Kansas vs Villanova 8:45 ET Wildcats (-) over Jayhawks- When people that don't bet on sports but know the game make a comment like, 'Villanova is the same size favorite over No. 1 seed Kansas as Michigan is over Loyola. How can that be?' His meaning of course is that the Wildcats are a strong favorite. Now, this guy doesn't bets sports any more because he realized that he just couldn't win but now with an objective and clear head he sees a point spread pattern that he would never have noticed before. I have said all season that it we either Villanova or Duke and we have VILLANOVA!
03-29-18 | Penn State v. Utah +4.5 | Top | 82-66 | Loss | -106 | 10 h 43 m | Show |
Penn State vs Utah 7:00 ET Utes (+) over Nittany Lions- Both these clubs enter the NIT final at Madison Square Garden as 4th seeds in their bracket and have won four in-a-row. Penn State's last win was a 75-60 blowout win over Mississippi State Tuesday and it wasn't even that close as the Lions led by 25 entering the fourth quarter. When a team wins like that especially in the semi-final of a tournament I always like to 'fade' them in the final. Utah is 12-4-1 ATS in their last 17 games and get the 'money' here. Take UTAH!
03-27-18 | Mississippi State +2.5 v. Penn State | Top | 60-75 | Loss | -101 | 12 h 43 m | Show |
Penn State vs Mississippi State 9:15 ET Bulldogs (+) over Nittany Lions- Both these clubs were 4th seeds and bring plenty of big game experience from the Big Ten and SEC. As far as trends are concerned both clubs come in making money as the Bulldogs are 5-0 ATS in their last five and Penn State is 5-1 ATS in their last six. But the two trends that mean the most to me are the Nittany Lions are 0-5 straight-up and 1-4 ATS in their last five meetings against the SEC and Mississippi State is 7-0 ATS in its last seven games as an underdog of 2.5 or more. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE!
03-25-18 | Duke -3 v. Kansas | Top | 81-85 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 54 m | Show |
Duke vs Kansas 5:05 ET Blue Devils (-) over Jayhawks- No. 1 seed Kansas is an underdog here and No. 2 seeded Duke and that rises an eyebrow of two. The Jayhawks have won 30-games for the third straight season but have been denied entree to the Final Four in the regional finals the past two seasons losing to Villanova (the eventual champion) and Oregon. This season they get stopped by Duke who has been to 12 Final Fours and have five National Championships since Mike Krzyzewski took over in 1980. The Blue Devils are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 and win here. Take DUKE!
03-24-18 | Florida State +5 v. Michigan | Top | 54-58 | Win | 100 | 10 h 10 m | Show |
Florida State vs Michigan 8:50 ET Seminoles (+) over Wolverines- I mean have you ever seen anything like that before? The Wolverines put on one of the best long range shooting exhibitions in NCAA tournament history scoring 99 points. Only the Villanova victory against Georgetown (Patrick Ewing) in the 1986 Final compares with a higher shooting percentage but their was no 3-point shot at that time. A repeat is performance is highly unlikely even riding a 12-game winning streak as the Wolverines are off their highest scoring tournament game since 1992. Defense will keep the Seminoles in this one as they have held three straight opponents to 70 points or fewer...take FLORIDA STATE!
03-24-18 | Loyola-Chicago +1 v. Kansas State | Top | 78-62 | Win | 100 | 7 h 23 m | Show |
Loyola-Chicago vs Kansas State 6:09 ET Ramblers (+) over Wildcats- Golly, are the 'boys' just begging us to take Kansas State or what! The blessing here is that for the most part few realize just how good Loyola actually is. This team is 31-5 straight and 22-9-1 ATS including 8-0 and 7-1 ATS at neutral sites. The Ramblers are still fighting for respect while the Wildcats believe that already got their respect by defeating Kentucky for the first time ever (0-9 lifetime entering the game). Letdown city...take LOYOLA-CHICAGO!
03-23-18 | West Virginia +5.5 v. Villanova | Top | 78-90 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 53 m | Show |
West Virginia vs Villanova 7:27 ET Mountaineers (+) over Wildcats- I have to admit the two squads that I though could win it all along has been Villanova and Duke so it takes a lot for me to come against who I believe may be the eventual champion. So here I am, with this West Virginia that can beat anybody but often fall apart in important matchups and I believe this fits the bill. But the Wildcats have had a pair of walk-over wins against Radford and Alabama and will be tested with Bob Huggins 'Press Virginia' for 40 intense minutes. Trends on not on the mountaineers side as they are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 against the Big East and Villanova is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 versus the Big-12. Everybody 'knows' that! Yep...take WEST VIRGINIA!
03-22-18 | Florida State +6 v. Gonzaga | Top | 75-60 | Win | 100 | 13 h 47 m | Show |
Florida State vs Gonzaga 10:07 ET Seminoles (+) over Bulldogs- Gonzaga is looking to return to their second straight Final-4 (lost to N. Carolina in Final) and they might be surprised at the level of overall talent that packs Florida State's roster. The Seminoles have nine (9) players that average between 6.6 and 13 points per game and a pressure defense that adjustments will have to be made by the Zags. Gonzaga has the longest winning steak of any team left in the tourney but that doesn't always translate to ATS wins as they are just 15-17-1 despite their stellar record. Not this time...take FLORIDA STATE!
03-22-18 | Texas A&M v. Michigan -2.5 | Top | 72-99 | Win | 100 | 10 h 23 m | Show |
Texas A&M vs Michigan 7:27 ET Wolverines (-) over Aggies- I know I saw it, I saw and win with against against these two clubs last weekend. We posted Texas A&M in their crushing of North Carolina and win had Houston (+) over Michigan and both were huge winners. So, here is how I see this match-up...the Aggies are off an emotional high in defeating the Tar Heels 86-65 which was unexpected along with the margin of victory. The Wolverines need a miracle 3-point shot at the buzzer to advance after trailing the entire second half. Michigan has to feel blessed and is playing on 'free' time. Take the WOLVERINES!
03-21-18 | Western Kentucky +4.5 v. Oklahoma State | Top | 92-84 | Win | 100 | 11 h 44 m | Show |
Western Kentucky at Oklahoma State 8:00 ET Hilltoppers (+) over Cowboys- Oklahoma State was one of the schools that felt 'shafted' by the NCAA selection committee and they look like they are out to prove that they were good enough to make the 'Big Dance.' Western Kentucky on the other hand was good enough to get selected but a loss in the Conference USA final to Marshall 67-66. The Hilltoppers have been a great side the entire season posting a 13-6 ATS record away from home and a 22-12 ATS overall record. Take the points with WESTERN KENTUCKY!
03-20-18 | Mississippi State +5.5 v. Louisville | Top | 79-56 | Win | 100 | 11 h 38 m | Show |
Mississippi State and Louisville 9:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Cardinals- Louisville who usually is in the 'Big Dance' has a chance to go to the NIT semi-finals and a trip to New York's Madison Square Garden with a win tonight. This is the Cardinals first season without former coach Rick Pitino and they for the most part survived the turmoil and seek their fourth trip to the NIT semi's since 2006. Mississippi State dropped 3-of-4 before posting a pair of NIT victories against Nebraska and Baylor covering both contests. This should be another close contest where the points might come into play. Take the BULLDOGS!
03-19-18 | Western Kentucky +4 v. USC | Top | 79-75 | Win | 100 | 13 h 9 m | Show |
Western Kentucky vs USC 11:30 ET Hilltoppers (+) over Trojans- USC is one of the only No. 1 seeds still alive but their issue is that they are playing in the NIT. The Trojans managed to win 103-98 in double overtime against UNC Ashville without their All-American center who is sitting out the tournament to protect his draft status. Also, their senior guard Jordon MeLaughlin is considering sitting out tonight. I DO NOT want teams whose players don't want to play...I want them hungry. The Hilltoppers will get it done insider where they hold a 345-point advantage in the paint. Take WESTERN KENTUCKY!
03-18-18 | Clemson v. Auburn -122 | Top | 84-53 | Loss | -122 | 9 h 15 m | Show |
Clemson vs Auburn 7:15 ET War Eagles over Tigers- Despite his checkered back ground we know one thing for sure and that is that Bruce Pearl knows who to coach and recruit. Under his leadership Auburn is in the NCAA's for the first time since 2003. The War Eagles have lost three players including their starting center Anfernee McLemore to injury and suspensions and yet here they are. They forced 21 turnovers in their first round win and that same defense will lift them over their ACC name-sake. Take AUBURN!
03-18-18 | Texas A&M +6.5 v. North Carolina | Top | 86-65 | Win | 100 | 8 h 32 m | Show |
Texas A&M vs North Carolina 5:15 ET Aggies (+) over Tar Heels- Now, wait a second, I'm hearing that Texas A&M will try and rely on their hight advantage against North Carolina. Let me say this, if you have a height advantage over the Tar Heels you are a big sized team. The Aggies front court runs 6-10,6-10 and 6-9 as they are the fifth-ranked rebounding team in the country. A&M who out-rebounded Providence 44-26 have more experience at the post. Take TEXAS A&M!
03-17-18 | Houston +3.5 v. Michigan | Top | 63-64 | Win | 100 | 12 h 13 m | Show |
Houston vs Michigan 9:40 ET Cougars (+) over Wolverines- Michigan enters this game for a 'Sweet-16' berth having won 10 in-a-row with four straight covers and 9-of-10 ATS. Houston has been on an up swing of their own and are 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 games overall. Comparing the season long 'numbers' of these two they come out very similar. Same course record on the road and at neutral sites with the Cougars holding a slight point differential advantage but of course they have player a lesser schedule. The thing is Las Vegas is giving Houston a huge amount of respect and so will I. Take the COUGARS!
03-17-18 | Ohio State +3.5 v. Gonzaga | Top | 84-90 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 22 m | Show |
Ohio State vs Gonzaga 7:45 ET Buckeyes (+) over Zags- 'Sweet-16 here I come...' Yeah well, for who? Both these clubs were winners in tough first round competition as Gonzaga won their 15th straight and look to return deep into NCAA Tourney play. (Yeah, well who isn't) The interesting thing about this match-up is that they have played twice before. The first time in NCAA Tournament action in Pittsburgh where 2nd seeded OSU beat the 7th seeded Zags. The last time was earlier this season in Portland on November 23 as the Zags crushed the Buckeyes 86-59. Thing will be different Saturday night. Take OHIO STATE!
03-16-18 | New Mexico State v. Clemson -4.5 | Top | 68-79 | Win | 100 | 13 h 56 m | Show |
New Mexico State vs Clemson 9:57 ET Tigers (-) over Aggies- It looks like the 'public' is expecting there to be plenty of support for New Mexico State as the games are being played in San Diego, where as Clemson has to travel from the east. The Tigers who are making their first appearance in the Tourney in seven years losing in the first round in its past five appearances. That isn't as bad as the Aggies who have lost its NCAA Tournament opener nine straight years. Take CLEMSON!
03-16-18 | Providence v. Texas A&M -2.5 | Top | 69-73 | Win | 100 | 3 h 59 m | Show |
Providence vs Texas A&M 9:15 ET Aggies (-) over Friars- A record eight SEC teams made the tournament with Tennessee the highest seed at No. 3 and Texas A&M is No. 7. Providence made a great run in the Big Tournament losing to Villanova in the Championship Game after defeating regular season champ Xavier. The Aggies started the year 11-1 and then opened SEC play 0-5 and finished 9-9. The Aggies have 11 NCAA wins with eight of them coming since 2006. A&M's balanced attack will wear the Friars out. Take TEXAS A&M.
03-15-18 | St Bonaventure v. Florida -5 | Top | 62-77 | Win | 100 | 12 h 10 m | Show |
St. Bonaventure vs Florida 9:55 ET Gators (-) over Bonnies- St. Bonaventure set a school record with their 26th win over UCLA on Tuesday and are now facing the 6th seed Florida in Dallas. The last time the Bonnies made the 'Big Dance' it wasn't even a big dance in 1970 as Bob Lanier was the star. Florida struggled down the stretch losing five of their final eight games but is a tourney tested team that has played at least four games in each of the last five times they have reached the NCAA Tournament. Gators bit hard here...take FLORIDA!
03-15-18 | Davidson +5 v. Kentucky | Top | 73-78 | Push | 0 | 9 h 13 m | Show |
Davidson vs Kentucky 7:10 ET Wildcats (+) over Wildcats- Davidson was able to qualify for the 'Tourney' by winning 11 of their last 13 games and upsetting top-seeded Rhode Island for the Atlantic-10 Championship and securing the bid. Kentucky's youth were able to put it together and win the SEC Tournament and now will face a pair of seniors including at A-10 Co-Player of the Year Peyton Aldridge who is anxious to face 'major' competition. Take DAVIDSON!
03-14-18 | Nebraska v. Mississippi State -4 | Top | 59-66 | Win | 100 | 12 h 35 m | Show |
Nebraska at Mississippi State 9:00 ET Bulldogs (-) over Cornhuskers- These two had their NCAA 'bubble' dream burst as they were passed bye for the 'Big Dance' and now settle for a chance to pay at Madison Square Garden. Of these two squads the 'word' seems to be that it was Nebraska that got shafted in the selection process and yet are only a No. 5 seed. The Cornhuskers closed their regular season winning eight of the final nine games before being eliminated by Michigan 77-58. Mississippi State meanwhile is 18-2 at home which includes and early season loss to Nebraska 76-72 which helped the Cornhuskers to a 4-7 straight-up record on the road. Take NEBRASKA!
03-13-18 | St Bonaventure +3.5 v. UCLA | Top | 65-58 | Win | 100 | 25 h 57 m | Show |
St. Bonaventure vs UCLA 9:10 ET Bonnies (+) over Bruins- Who ever wins this contest will enter the field of 64 as an 11-seed and will go to Dallas Thursday and play Florida. UCLA is making their 49th NCAA Tournament appearance and come in losing three of their last five games including the Pac-12 semi to Arizona getting out-scored 13-0 in overtime. St. Bonnies comes in losing to Davidson the eventually A-10 champion but have won 13 in-a-row before that conference playoff defeat. They are back in the 'Dance' first the first time since 2012. Both these clubs like to go with their starters and don't gibe the bench much of an opportunity and the Bonnies have better overall balance. Take ST. BONAVENTURE!
03-10-18 | USC +3 v. Arizona | Top | 61-75 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 16 m | Show |
USC vs Arizona 10:00 ET Trojans (+) over Wildcats- After last night's 'Bad Beat' loss with UCLA (+6) in overtime against Arizona I have a knot in my stomach when looking at this contest. Arizona who won last season's Pac-12 Tournament came away with the ATS overtime win out-scoring the Bruins 13-2 in the extra period. The Wildcats have won the last four meetings between the two and have a huge 9-3 ATS advantage in the last 12 meetings. With such strong trends my question is why have the oddsmakers made this such a shallow line...Take the TROJANS!
03-10-18 | West Virginia -120 v. Kansas | Top | 70-81 | Loss | -120 | 7 h 18 m | Show |
West Virginia vs Kansas 6:00 ET Mountaineers (+) over Jayhawks- Kansas has won 13 straight Big-12 regular season titles and has won the conference tournament seven times in 15 years while West Virginia hasn't won a conference championship since winning the Big East in 2010. The Jayhawks swept the season series 2-0 with a pair of 'covers.' I can see West Virginia with their tough pressing defense and pulling out the upset. Take the MOUNTAINEERS!
03-09-18 | North Carolina +4.5 v. Duke | Top | 74-69 | Win | 100 | 10 h 30 m | Show |
North Carolina vs Duke 9:30 ET Tar Heels (+) over Blue Devils- Always a treat when these two clash as the ACC 'elite' meet once again with No. 4 Duke against No. 11 North Carolina. The amazing thing to me is that the Blue Devils are where they are with four freshman and Grayson Allen the senior guard leading the way. Well, sort of, the 'big' man for Duke is freshman ACC Player of the Year Marvin Bagley III who had 33 points and 17 rebounds in yesterday's 88-70 win over Notre Dame. The two teams split this season each holding serve and wining at home and both are playing well at this time of the year as should be expected as Duke is 7-1 ATS in their last eight and the Tar Heels are 7-3 ATS in their last 10. What it comes down to is 'Can the Heels contain Bagley III?' They do have the size and coaching. Take NORTH CAROLINA! |
