I give this a 7* rating. Vegas comes in with a 25-19-6-1 record but have lost 5 of their last 6 games while allowing at least 3 goals in 7 of their last 8 games. They are a troubling 6-22 in their last 28 games as the dog and 2-5 in their last 7 against the Atlantic and 1-4 in their last 5 meetings with Boston. The Bruins are 28-10-5-7 with a great 16-2-4-5 home record. Although they lost 4 of their last 5, the losses happened on the road. They are playing well offensively as they scored at least 3 goals in 6 of their last 7 games including in all of their last 4 wins. They are 35-17 in their last 52 against the Pacific. Take Boston |
01-21-20 |
Islanders v. Rangers +104 | | 4-2 |
Loss | -100 | 11 h 41 m | Show |
I give this an 8* rating. In this NY match up, the Islanders are 28-15-3-2 and losers of 3 straight and are 1-5 of their last 6 overall. Their offense has struggled scoring 2 goals or less in 7 of their last 10 games and are 2-7 in their last 9 as the favorite and 2-5 as the road favorite. The Rangers are 23-20-2-2 and winners of 4 of their last 6 games. Offensively they scored at least 3 goals in 7 of their last 10 games and 39-18 against teams with losing records. The Islanders have lost 3 of their last 4 on the road so I believe the home team looks good. Take the Rangers |

Devils v. Blue Jackets -1.5 | | 0-5 |
Win | 150 | 11 h 20 m | Show |
I give this a 7 * rating only because I must win by 2 goals. NJ has lost 5 of their last 7 games and lost by at least 2 goals in 4 of the losses. They are 1-4 on a day's rest and 20-44 in their last 64 games as the road dog. They don't play well on the road going 21-48 in their last 69 road games. They have been dominated by Columbus as they have lost 9 of their last 10 meetings while allowing at least 3 goals in 6 of those 9 losses. Columbus has won 3 straight and 7 of 10 overall. In the 6 of those wins they scored at least 3 goals and are 8-1 in their last 9 games on 1 day's rest. NJ doesn't play well on the road as they are 21-48 in their last 69 road games and 20-44 in their last 64 as the road dog. Bet wisely we must win by 2. Take Columbus |

Blues +127 v. Avalanche | | 3-5 |
Loss | -100 | 8 h 58 m | Show |
I give this a 7* rating. The come in with a30-10-5-3 record having won 4 of their last 5 games while going 6-1 ATS in their last 7 against the Central. More impressive is that they are an amazing 20-8 in their last 28 games as the dog and 18-8 ATS as the road dog. They can score some goals as the have scored at least 3 goals in 9 of their last 10 games and have also won 6 of their last 7 meetings. In 4 of their last 6 games they won by at least 2 goals in 4 of them. Colorado lost 4 of their last 5 games and 7 of their last 10 overall. They allowed at least 3 goals in 6 of those 7 losses and are 1-4 ATS in 4 of their last 5 games. They are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 as the favorite and just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games. The Blues are 23-9 in their last 32 meetings. Take St Louis |
01-17-20 |
Lightning v. Jets +125 | | 7-1 |
Loss | -100 | 12 h 39 m | Show |
I give this an 8* play. Although Tampa is 28-15-4 they are only 18-29 ATS for the year and 2-10 ATS against the Central conference. After an impressive winning streak they have since lost 2 of 3. they have also lost 3 of their last 4 meetings with the Jets. The Jets are 25-18-3-1 and have a winning record at home. They have won 3 of 5 losing by just 1 goal in the 2 losses. With the Jets 20-8 with 2 days rest I'll go with the home side. Take Winnipeg |

I give this an 8* rating. Arizona has lost 3 of 4 and allowed at least 3 goals in each loss. While Vancouver has a 14-5 home record as well as having won. 7 of 10, scoring 10 goals in their last 3 games. Arizona is 1-4 in their last 5 as the road dog while the Canucks are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 at home and their last 5 as a home favorite. Take Vancouver |

Flames v. Maple Leafs -1.5 | | 2-1 |

I Give this a 7* rating because I have to win by 2. California is on the road facing a Toronto team that has scored at least 4 goals in 6 of their last 10 games not less than 3 goals in any of the 10 games. They are a club that 12-5-3-3 at home. California was shutout in their last game and has been held to 2 goals or less in 3 of their last 4. Win this by 2 goals for a nice return but bet wisely and remember we have to win by 2. The Lightning are 42-14 in their last 56 games against teams with losing records and 43-17 in their last 60 games with 2 days rest. Ottawa has also lost 4 of their last 5 games as a 2-1 or more dog. AVALANCHE @ BLUES Colorado comes in with a 21-8-3 record and winners of 8 of their last 9 with half of the wins at home. They are 1-5 in their last 6 meetings in St Louis and are fighting the Blues for 1st place in the division. The Blues have a 20-8-3-3 record and broke a 3 game losing streak winning their last 2 games. They had won 4 straight in their prior 4 games and have won 3 of their last 4 at home. They are 5-2 in their last 7 at home and 42-19 in their last 61 games on 1 days rest. With the home team fighting to keep a hold on 1st place, it will be very difficult for Colorado to grab a win in St Louis. Take St Louis |

FLYERS @ JETS Philadelphia has lost 3 of their last 4 scoring just 1 goal in each loss while their last 4 wins have been at home. The Jets love Sunday going 27-8 in their last 35 Sunday games and are 4-0 in their last 4 as a home favorite while going 9-4 in their last 13 overall. This should be a no doubter for the Jets. BLACKHAWKS @ DEVILS Chicago comes in with an 11-12-2-3 record and have scored at least 4 goals in 4 of their last 5 meetings with NJ who have gone 9-14-1-3. NJ has lost 4 straight and allowed at least 4 goals in 6 of their last 8 games. They are 1-5 in their last 6 games as the favorite and 2-12 in their last 14 games on 2 days rest. They are 2-8 in their last 10 at home and 5-18 in their last 23 against the Central. Both teams are struggling as both are in last place in their divisions. I can't see either team being this big a favorite so I will take the dog. Take Chicago |
12-05-19 |
Sabres +145 v. Flames | | 3-4 |
Loss | -100 | 12 h 35 m | Show |
SABRES @ FLAMES Buffalo comes in with a 13-10-4-1 winning 2 of their last 3 games and scoring at least 5 goals in 3 of their last 5 games. Their defense is playing well allowing 2 goals or less to 7 of their last 10 opponents. Calgary has won 3 of their last 4 games but had lost their 6 previous games. They have been held to 2 goals or less in 7 of their last 10 games overall. This line seems to be kind of high in this particular situation and doesn't warrant Buffalo being a dog this big Take Buffalo |

SENATORS @ CANUCKS Ottawa comes in with a 11-15-10-1and have lost 4 straight games. they have been held to 2 goals or less in 5 of their last 6 games. Vancouver is 13-11-3-1 and have lost 3 of their last 4 games with 2 losses coming on the road. The Senators have lost the 1st two of their 5 game road trip scoring just 4 goas during the slide. Ottawa isn't playing well now and have already lost 11 of 15 of their road games. look for Vancouver to take advantage of a sluggish Senator team. Take Vancouver -1.5 goals |

Coyotes +113 v. Blue Jackets | | 4-2 |
Win | 113 | 11 h 5 m | Show |
COYOTES @ BLUE JACKETS Arizona comes in at 15-9-2-2 as they are 5-5 in their last 10 games while holding all 10 opponents to 3 goals or less in 9 of them. They have a total of 17 1 goal games out of the 26 they played. they have struggled but went 6-1-2 in their last 9 road games. Columbus alternated wins and losses over their last 6 games but lost Werenski to injury as he was just starting to come alive. As the coach said "It's a big loss for us". Arizona has had it's power play working as they hit on 5 of their last 12. Now is a good time for Arizona to try and steal one. Take Arizona |

ISLANDERS @ RED WINGS NY comes in wit a 17-5-2-0 record and have lost 4 straight that broke their 5 game winning streak. They have been held to 1 goal or less in their last 4 games. Detroit has lost 9 straight with 7 of the losses by just a goal. This won't be easy for NY but they night be catching Detroit at just the right time. NY hasn't played well the last week so Detroit at home could steal this one. Take New York |

They have only scored 2 goals or less in 6 of their last 8 games losing 6 of them. The Devils are only 29th in the league in power plays and dropped 4 of their last 6 games going 2 of 23 in power plays and 0-8 in their last game. I think the home team has a good advantage. Red Wings +1.5 v. Flames | | 1-5 |
Loss | -122 | 11 h 52 m | Show |
DETROIT @ CALGARY The Red Wings have lost back to back games, and they will be a huge underog on the road in Calgary tonight. The Flames though are just 3-3-1 (same as Detroit) and they appear to be overvalued based on last year's results. Calgary was the top seed in the Western Conference last year, but they were ousted in the first round by a younger and faster Colorado team. This Flames team looks primed to take a big step back here in 2019. Take Detroit +1.5 goals |

Bruins +105 v. Blues | | 5-1 |
Win | 105 | 27 h 55 m | Show |
BOSTON @ ST LOUIS Game 5 in Boston ended in controversy, after the Blues scored a goal just seconds after what appeared to be a missed call. Don't be suprised to see the officials come back with a makeup call at a crucial time in Game 6 here in St. Louis. The Blues have been better on the road than they have been at home in these playoffs, and they are going to have a tough time eliminating the Bruins. Tukka Rask has been better than Jordan Binnington in these playoffs. Rask leads all goaltenders with a 1.97 GAA and a .937 save percentage. He should be at his best with his team looking to force a Game 7. Take BOS. |

The Blues rookie goaltender Jordan Binnington had the lowest GAA in the NHL this season, but he was chased from Game 3 in the second period after giving up five goals on 19 shots. He hasn't been all that sharp in the finals, while Tukka Rask has been a brick wall. The Bruins experience is starting to show, and they now have the Blues on the ropes. Boston is dominating on special teams, going 4-for-4 on the power play in Game 3. It's going to be very difficult for the Blues to overcome superior goaltending and special teams play. I like Boston in Game 4. Take BOS. |

Win | 104 | 8 h 46 m | Show |
BLUES @ BRUINS The Bruins had the bull by the horns after winning Game 1 by a score of 4-2, but the Blues took all the momentum when they won Game 2 in overtime by a score of 3-2. Momentum is a funny thing though, and I think the Bruins will respond with a far better effort here on the road in Game 3 in St. Louis. The Bruins are 4-0 in their last four road games, and they have won five of their last six as an underdog. The Bruins top line hasn't yet produced in these Finals, but it's only a matter of time. I expect a big game from the likes of Marchand and Chara here tonight. Take BOS. |

SHARKS @ BLUES The Zig Zag Theory was 100 percent perfect in the Sharks series versus the Avs, as they alternated wins and losses through all seven games. Now after splitting the first two games of this Western Conference Final versus St. Louis, I'll bet on the Zig Zag here in Game 3. San Jose has plenty of firepower, with three of the top four scorers so far in these playoffs. Martin Jones has been hot and cold in the post-season, but he's shown the ability to bounce back from a poor performance on more than one occasion. Take SJS. |

Sharks v. Avalanche UNDER 5.5 | | 3-4 |
Loss | -100 | 5 h 6 m | Show |
SHARKS @ AVS After the first few games of this series saw plenty of scoring, we have seen six goals combined in the last two games. Now the Avs have to win on home ice to avoid elimination, and the last game in Colorado was a 3-0 win for the Avs. Phillip Grubauer stopped all 32 shots he faced in that game, earning the shutout. The nder is 3-0-1 in Sharks last four games as a road underdog, and the Avs have gone under in six of their last seven as a home favorite. Take Under. |

Sharks v. Avalanche UNDER 6 | | 4-2 |
Push | 0 | 13 h 27 m | Show |
SHARKS @ AVS We have seen nothing but goals in this series so far, but I think with San Jose coming off a tough home loss, they will tighten up here on the road. Colorado is fairly comfortable playing in low scoring games, as they have failed to reach the total in four of their last five as a home favorite. The under is 11-3-1 in Avalanche last 15 games playing on 1 days rest. The under is 4-0 in Avalanche last four games as a home favorite of -151 to -200. Avs goalie Phillip Grubauer ranks fifth among all goaltenders in these playoffs with a save percentage of .924. Take Under |

Bruins v. Blue Jackets -1.5 | | 1-2 |
Loss | -100 | 10 h 30 m | Show |
BRUINS @ JACKETS The Columbus Blue Jackets are undefeated at home in these playoffs, and they have outscored the opposition 10-4 in those games. After two overtime games in Boston, I think there's a chance the home team blows this series wide open in Game 3. The Bruins are 1-5 in their last six Conference Semifinals games, and they are 2-6 in their last eight playoff games as an underdog of +151 to +200. The Blue Jackets are 7-1 in their last eight home games, and they are 12-2 in their last 14 overall. Take CBJ |

CALGARY @ COLORADO The Calgary Flames won Game 1 of this series by a score of 4-0, but that was a bit misleading. Mike Smith kept the Flames in the game early, when Colorado really carried the play. It was a different story in Game 2, as both goaltenders were on top of their game, and Colorado just looked like the team that wanted it more. The Avs are coming home with a split, and they look good as an underdog in Game 4. The Avalanche are 7-0 in their last seven home games, and the home team is 6-2 in the last eight meetings. Take COL |

Sharks v. Golden Knights -163 | | 0-5 |
Win | 100 | 4 h 11 m | Show |
SHARKS @ KNIGHTS The Sharks were one of the top teams in the West this season despite their starting goaltender coming into the playoffs with statistically the worst GAA and save percentage. So far in this series Martin Jones has struggled, and Vegas has San Jose on the ropes. Jones was pulled early in Game 2, and he comes into Game 4 ranked dead last with a 5.23 GAA in the playoffs. The Sharks have lost six of their last eight at Las Vegas. Take VEGAS |
04-12-19 |
Golden Knights v. Sharks UNDER 6.5 | Top | 5-3 |
Loss | -105 | 5 h 16 m | Show |
VEGAS @ SHARKS The Sharks won Game 1 by a score of 5-2, and the total for Game 2 is sitting at a sky high 6.5. I think we can expect both teams to tighten up here as the series moves on, and Vegas is likely going to try to muddy things up here in an attempt to get back in the series. The under is 5-2-1 in Golden Knights last eight playoff games as an underdog. The under is 8-3-1 in Sharks last 12 games playing on 1 days rest. I think this total should be sitting at an even 6.0 rather than 6.5, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this game end 4-2. Take Under. |

Avalanche v. Flames OVER 6 | Top | 0-4 |
Loss | -103 | 57 h 7 m | Show |
COLORADO @ CALGARY The Calgary Flames finished first in the Western Conference in the regular season, and they ranked 2nd in the NHL in scoring. The locked up the first seed which has them matched up against 8th seed Colorado in the first round. The Flames success has come despite average goaltending and below average defensive play. Calgary ranked dead last in shots against during the season. Veteran goaltender Mike Smith ranked 22nd in the NHL in GAA, and in his only start versus Colorado this year he surrendered five goals in a win. Semyon Varlamov ranked 30 among NHL goaltenders with a GAA of 2.87. He was 0-2-1 with a 4.44 GAA against Calgary this season. Take Over. |

Stars v. Predators -145 | | 3-2 |
Loss | -145 | 9 h 35 m | Show |
DALLAS @ NASHVILLE The Dallas Stars will play the Nashville Predators in Game 1 of this first round series tonight, and with home ice advantage in the series opener, the Preds appear to be in great shape. Nashville has a strong fan base, and they have been tough to beat at home. Pekka Rinner is a different goaltender at home than he is on the road, and I expect him to be on his game tonight. Nashville has won seven of the last 10 head to head meetings versus Dallas, and the Stars are just 2-6 in their last eight playoff games as an underdog. The Predators are 10-2 in their last 12 Conference Quarterfinals games, and 15-7 in their last 22 playoff games as a favorite. Take NAS. |

Blue Jackets -206 v. Rangers | | 3-2 |
Win | 100 | 16 h 49 m | Show |
JACKETS @ RANGERS With Montreal losing last night in Washington, the Blue Jackets can clinch with a win here in New York. While the pressure isn't quite as high as it would have been if Montreal had of beaten the Caps, I think that could be a positive for the Blue Jackets. Rather than playing scared, now they can go out their and play hard, knowing that they can clinch with a win. The Rangers have just three wins in their last 19 overall, and they rank 28th in the NHL on the penalty kill. Special teams could be the difference here for Columbus. Take CBJ. |
