Seahawks vs. Cardinals NFL Betting Previews 10/23/16

Betting Preview

Seattle has won three straight games and scored at least 26 points in each since scoring just 15 points total in their first two games. Their defense gave up 24 points in their win last week which was the most they have given up all year. Considering it was against Atlanta the number one scoring team in the league who average over 33 points a game it wasn’t a bad performance. They hadn’t given up more than 18 points until last week. They are ranked first in the NFL in total defense and third in points allowed (15.6).

Arizona finally got their offense going in winning their last two games. They outscored their two opponents 61-24 since being held to 31 points total in the two previous weeks when they lost both of those games. Their defense has played well and they allowed more than 21 points in a game just once but quarterback Carson Palmer threw four interceptions and had a fumble returned for a TD. Their defense is ranked sixth in points allowed (17.6). The oddsmakers have made Arizona a slight one point favorite and set the total at 43.5.

According to Covers.com consensus Analysis the public is split with 52% backing Arizona and 50% on either side of the total. In their last 10 meetings the totals have been split as well with five games going over and five games going under.
