Dallas has not only failed to win either of their two outings this August, but they failed to cover both as well. Last week against Seattle, several of their key contributors got banged up. This does include a couple of their ball carriers. The undersized Deuce Vaughn isn’t going to be laid out to dry for too long here. They can’t afford to not have an able running back going into Week 1 of the regular season. The Raiders aren’t touted to do too well this year. So, I do expect them to come out here and put up some big numbers to excite their dedicated fans base and season-ticket holders. Take Las Vegas. Thank you.

It’s certainly no secret that the Cincinnati Bengals are expected to be one of the best teams in the NFL this season. It’s also no secret that their head coach doesn’t put too much effort in preseason play. I doubt very much they’re going to jeopardize any of their key playmakers here for too long. On the other hand, the Washington Commanders are picked to finish dead last in the NFC East. Not only that, but they are expected to win just 6.5 games this season. And own some of the longest odds to win the NFC Championship. They do have a coach that puts forth a lot of effort in August. This preseason they are 2-0, both straight up and against the spread. It has been reported that all healthy players will be getting some action here (check status). Unlike their opponent in this contest, they have quite a few players still trying to make earn starting slots as well as more than a few trying to make backup positions. I expect this team to be extremely competitive here and give their fans something to be excited about during this upcoming regular season. Take the Commanders. Thank you.

Neither team has done exceptionally well this preseason. And it is true, the Jets have taken the last two preseason meetings in this in-state rivalry. However, the stadium is going to be filled with fans wearing the color blue. While Aaron Rodgers is expected to make his debut here for the New York football Jets, it’s no secret that they are touted to be a little more successful this year than the New York football Giants. That doesn’t sit well with the boys in blue. They will make a statement and let all of New York & New Jersey know that this is their house. Take the points with a Giant. Thank you.

The Atlanta Falcons are supposed to be a much improved team this season, being touted as the second-best squad in the NFC South. However, they are also touted to win just 8.5 games. While they picked up some new additions that should certainly help the ball club, overall, this team is not a force to be reckoned with. There are some rumors that the locker room has had some arguments about the quarterback position already. This preseason they haven’t shown too much offense, as team has accounted for just 16.0 points per game, going 1-0-1 SU and 1-1 ATS. I doubt very much that their head coach is going to jeopardize any of their key players for too long in this contest. On the other hand, Mike Tomlin stated that all healthy players will see the field this evening and get some significant playing time. This is a team known to put forth a very strong effort in preseason play. They are 2-0, both SU and ATS this season, beating some opponents they don’t really like too much in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Buffalo Bills. On both sides of the ball, this team has really excelled, accounting for 27.0 PPG, while allowing just 16.0 PPG. Over the last six preseasons, they possess a very solid record of 17-4 SU, going 16-5 ATS. Let’s face it, over the last several decades, the Steelers were one of the highest toed teams every season in the AFC. They have one of the most loyal fan bases in all of sports. This season, they are expected to finish last in the AFC North. So going into the regular season with a perfect record in August would not just motivate the team, the coaches, and the front office, but also their loyal fans. There’s also one more key thing you should know: on the defensive side of the ball, they have several starters that are very familiar with tonight’s opponent, as they started their careers with the Falcons. This is a very interesting matchup, my friends. The Washington Commanders are touted to be the NFC East’s poorest team, while the Baltimore Ravens are second-choice in the AFC North this upcoming season. These two teams don’t like each other too much, that’s for sure. Everyone knows (because it’s been on the news nonstop) that the Ravens have a 24-game preseason win streak. It is also come up in the news the last few days that the Commanders want to break that streak. However, during some practices, it seems that Baltimore manhandled Washington. Not only that, but there are some reports that the commanders had some injury issues at the quarterback position (check status) right now. Last week, both teams won straight up. But Baltimore did take down Philadelphia without any of their true starters at key offensive positions. Some of the starters must get some playing time this week. I will tell you that as I mentioned earlier, Washington has been blasting they want to end the streak. With all that chatter, I believe that Coach Harbaugh and his team got a little pissed off, and are looking to prove a point themselves. There is no question that they have a little more talent on both sides of the ball. Take the Ravens on the moneyline. Thank you.

Sports fans, this is a straight up sharp money move. Once again, this season, the Dallas Cowboys are supposed to be a contender in the NFC. They’ve got to first get past some tough division opponents and a not-so-easy schedule. They took a loss in preseason Week 1 to the Jacksonville jaguars, 28-23. Let’s face it, there’s a lot of eyes on this team. And they are certainly under the gun to have a successful campaign. Not only that, but they have to get some excitement going for the season ticket holders, for sure. I just don’t see the Seattle Seahawks warranting being a touchdown favorite here. This is way too many points to give a team that must make some sort of a splash this week to get their new additions, as well as their fans excited for the beginning of the regular season. I think we can all agree no one expects either the Bears or the Colts to do too much this season. But there is a major difference between these two teams. And that is the fact that some of the most loyal fans in all the sports reside in the city of Chicago. The coaching staff, the team, and the front office certainly want to give their loyal fan base something to be excited about. This is also a team that seems to try in preseason, winning and covering six of their last seven games played in August. I don’t know if you recall, but back in 2007 these two met in the Super Bowl when the Bears had a lead and then lost it to the Colts. Maybe they get a little bit of revenge here my friends. This is a team that doesn’t normally put forth too much of an effort in August. Barring any major injuries, I think we can all expect the Eagles to be a team competing for the NFC title. They are not going to put their major contributors in too much of harms way here tonight. On the other hand, the Browns have a lot to prove. And have a lot of talent in the backup positions. As of this week, the San Francisco 49ers are touted to be one of the top teams in football this season. Most sports books have them taking the NFC West with ease. And most sports books have them as one of the top two teams in the NFC. Meanwhile, questionably the most talked about team in pro football, the Las Vegas Raiders are expected to finish last in the AFC West, and only win 6.5 games. There might be a little animosity here dating back to when both teams were in the same state. But there’s definitely some animosity being the quarterback for San Francisco over recent seasons is now wearing a Las Vegas jersey. Oh, by the way, to add gasoline to the fire, the last time these two teams faced one another, San Fran won in OT at Allegiant, 37-34. That game was played last January 1. Reports are that Brock Purdy is most-likely not going to play here (check status). But the offense certainly is chock-full of talent at the quarterback slot. I don’t expect head coach, Kyle Shanahan to put any of his playmakers at risk for too long. Raiders head coach, Josh McDaniels is known to put forth an effort in August action. Overall, this team is 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS their L7 in preseason games. There is a lot of pressure on the Las Vegas coaching staff, players, and front office to win here. I do see them coming out here and playing very strongly and making a splash. Giving them this many points at home is a mistake. Take the Raiders. Thank you.

With the news that both Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs (check status) will not be playing this Saturday, money started coming in on Indianapolis. After yet another post season, let down last year for Buffalo, they must come out here and make a statement. Being at home and getting points, especially this many points against a team that is slated to win just 6.5 games this season, can’t sit well with the Bills. They want to come out and give their very loyal, following something to be excited about. Reports are that Anthony Richardson (check status) will start at QB four the Colts. While Indianapolis has some solid names on their offense, I just don’t see them having too much success against the anticipated much-improved Buffalo defense. If you recall, a season ago The Buffalo stop-unit was a bit leaky at times. On the opposite side of the ball, the Bills possess some very good talent vying for first- and second-string slots. Besides, this is a team that has won and covered five of their last six preseason contests. Take the Buffalo plus the points. Thank you.

With a new head coach and a new attitude, many feel the Denver Broncos are a much-improved team this season. For this particular matchup, starters are expected to get 15 snaps. After that they do have ample talent in key offensive backup positions, my friends. Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals are predicted to be just about the worst team in the NFL as prognosticators have them winning a mere, 4.5 games this season. Colt McCoy (check status) is going to start here as Kyler Murray is not playing at all (check status). I doubt very much they will jeopardize running back, James Conner, the Broncos are 5-1 straight up and 4-2 ATS the last two preseasons. I like Denver here. Take them, lay the 5.5. Thank you.

This is a team that wants their in-state rival, division favorite, Bengals to know they are not a pushover this season. Washington covered just one preseason contest over the last two Augusts. Oh, how the Steelers have fallen. It seems forever that they were not just the favorite to take their division, but also a top, AFC powerhouse. Pittsburgh won six of their last seven preseason games straight up, going 5-2 ATS. The Buccaneers have talent and two able play-callers. But the defense is still quite questionable and the Steelers offense is chock-full of playmakers. Under a field goal here is a gift. Tampa Bay is 1-5 both straight up and ATS the last six preseason games. Take Pittsburgh. Thank you.

The line in this contest moved because it was announced that CJ Stroud is expected to start. Trust me my friends, they won’t jeopardize him for too long. And after him taking the reins will be Case Keenum. Enough said! Mac Jones is not expected to see any action here. Not to fret, the second and third stringers have not been set as of today. So, I expect some solid competition with the backup quarterbacks here tonight. The New England offense is also loaded at the running back and wide receiver positions. So, you’re going to see some good talent on the field throughout the entire game. My friends, New England is picked to be dead last in the AFC East. That doesn’t sit well with their coach, their team, or their fans.  Look for a good showing at home in front of their loyal fans in Foxboro. By the way, they are also 7-3 ATS, the last four years (three preseasons). Take the Patriots plus the 3.5. Thank you.

Both head coaches announced that their starters will see some action today in the first half. Preseason predictions have the Washington Commanders to finish third in the NFC East, while the Baltimore Ravens (depending on the sportsbook you wager at) are being slated to compete for the AFC North. The Commanders are expected to win 7.5-games, while the Ravens are touted to win 10-games. Having said all that, whether Carson Wentz plays or not, Washington is not going to jeopardize their regular-season starting quarterback for too long in this final preseason contest. Let’s face it, their backups are inexperienced and unpolished. On the other hand, Tyler Huntley will get a lot of the snaps here. And he has looked very good this August. Let’s not forget that the Ravens are a team that like to win an NFL exhibition play, riding a 22-game win streak. Looking at the Baltimore defense, they have held two good offensive squads in check this preseason. And there’s quite a few household names on their stop-unit still looking to solidify a Slot and either the second or third strings of this squad. They will contain the Commanders “O”. These two teams saw plenty of one another this week, as they practiced together Tuesday and Wednesday. Thus far this preseason, New England is 1-1 straight up, while Las Vegas is 3-0 straight up. They are a combined, 5-0 against the spread. Having said that, reports are that some major starters will see action here in the first half. But there is no way Bill Belichick is going to jeopardize his starting quarterback or some of his key offensive players for too long in this contest. As we all know, the Patriots are the most successful team in the history of the NFL. But this team is not the team we are so accustomed to seeing over the last two decades or so. While they are touted to finish either second or third in the AFC East (depending on the book you like to wager at), they are slated to only win 8.5-games. Barring a major issue or injury, the Buffalo Bills will run away with their division. Any hope that this offense has depends on Mac Jones as their future. As I stated earlier, they will not jeopardize him. On the other hand, the team getting the most ink in the news the last several seasons, is certainly the Las Vegas Raiders. They’ve had a notorious coach come and go. They’ve had several players already caught up in legal issues and are also gone. They play in the most modern stadium in sports today, in the most exciting city in the world today. However, all this and yet they are still expected to finish last in the AFC West and win just 8.5-games. This is a team very deep at major positions, with several household names trying to earn spots both on the second and third strings. Understand that they have a big payroll and they must continue to win to keep individual home game ticket sales up and season-ticket holders happy. The players know this as well as the fans. Sharing the division with three teams that are significantly higher-rated stresses urgency for the team to go into the regular-season undefeated. This will give the team some momentum while exciting their fan base. Once again, they are deeper at major positions and the urgency is there for them to go into the regular season as big winners. The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team steeped in tradition. For the first time in as far back as we can remember, they are kicking off a campaign without Ben Roethlisberger at the helm. This is partially the reason why they’re only touted to win 7.5-games this season. They are expected to finish dead-last in the AFC North. And are an NFL longshot at 100-1 to win the Super Bowl. Well, this team has a very loyal fan base that expects a playoff-caliber squad every season. Let’s put a pin in that. We will circle back around to it. The Jacksonville Jaguars are without question, once again in a rebuilding year. There is talent on this team. The future is certainly in the hands of players like Trevor Lawrence. However, no one expects too much from them this season. They are predicted to win just 6.5-games. Most preseason prognosticators have them finishing third in the AFC South. And they too are 100-1 to win the Super Bowl. The big difference in these two teams is the fact that the Jaguars fan base is growing each season despite knowing that they are still rebuilding. There is no urgency for the team to win right now. We can also look at the depth charts. Pittsburgh is certainly deeper at key offensive positions. They have a slew of known quarterbacks fighting for second third and fourth string slots. Not to mention a couple of household names trying to make the squad in the backfield and as receivers. Known traditionally as a defensive powerhouse, they will establish their “D” here. Steelers long time head coach, Mike Tomlin has been in Pittsburgh over 15-years. One thing he likes to do each August, is get some wins in preseason play. Going back the last four preseasons, the Steelers are 10-3 straight up an 8-4-1 against the spread. Tomlin is a coach that actually puts forth effort in exhibition play. Well, newly acquired Jaguars head coach, Doug Pederson would love to make a splash. But he certainly isn’t going to jeopardize any of his key players before the regular season begins. Just for the record, the Jaguars are 1-8 straight up and 3-6 against the spread the last three preseason campaigns. I love the line here +3 1/2. Take the Steelers. Thank you.

The Indianapolis Colts are a highly-touted team, expected to win 10-games this season. There is a lot of pressure on this team to win. Losing their first preseason outing a week ago to the Buffalo Bills is forgivable. But they must get the team some momentum here today. And get their fans and season-ticket holders excited. They are deep at all the major offensive positions. They are loaded at quarterback, have some very good ball-carriers, and a slew of solid receivers. On the other hand, no one expects too much of the Detroit Lions once again this season. They are touted to win just six-games and finish and dead-last in the NFC North. They do have some quality talent at key positions. But they don’t have depth at all. On top of that their offensive line is absolutely deplorable. The last few seasons Indy has done well in the month of August, going 6-1 straight up and six-0-1 against the spread. Take the Colts here today. Thank you.

Preseason predictions for both the Carolina Panthers and the New England Patriots aren’t very optimistic. Carolina is slated to finish third in the NFC South and win just six-games. New England, depending on what sportsbook you bet at is either second or third choice for the AFC East. And is predicted to win just 8.5-games. A far cry from what we are used to them being. No one expects too much from the Carolina Panthers. And, to be honest, the Patriots are iffy to make the postseason. Carolina head coach, Matt Rhule and New England top-dog Bill Belichick are in very different places their careers right now. Rhule is going to try to make a name for himself in the NFL as a head coach. Meanwhile “the Hoodie” has nothing left to prove, guys. The Panthers fans know not to expect too much. But are very loyal fans. The Patriots devoted following know that they are not the same team that they are so used to seeing the past two decades. But they too are very loyal. Having said this neither coach is going to jeopardize any of their key players for too long in this matchup. So, this game comes down to a few things guys. For starters, depth chart. And the Panthers, believe it or not, are significantly deeper at the quarterback, running back, and wide receiver positions. They have some household names looking to make this team as second or third-stringers. Both teams have done well the past several years in the month of August. But Matt Rhule is looking to make more of a splash and get his team, as well as their fans excited. That along with the fact that they are much deeper at key offensive positions, urges me to side with the Panthers here. Especially because news of Mac Jones getting play time has move this line approximately seven-points. They are putting way too much stock in the situation. Take Carolina folks. Thank you.

Both the Miami Dolphins and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have high hopes this season. Miami is currently second favorite in the AFC East while Tampa Bay is by far and away the top-seed to win the NFC south. The Dolphins are touted to win nine-games this season, while the Buccaneers are expected to win 11.5-games. But the big discrepancy I see is the leap for both to win their conferences. Miami is a bit of a longshot at 25-1 to win the AFC. Tampa Bay is the odds-on favorite at 5-2 to win the NFC. Having said all that, both have relatively new head coaches looking to make a splash however. The Dolphins need to make more of a statement here. They need to tell the rest of their division and moreover, the entire conference that they are a force to be reckoned with. People already know the Buccaneers are just that. Also, looking at the depth charts, believe it or not the Dolphins are a little deeper at key offensive positions than the Buccaneers. They have quite a few household names vying for the second and third slots on their offense. And, I do feel that their backup quarterbacks are a little further along my friends. Not to mention that their back up running backs are outstanding. You’ve got an offensive head coach going up a defensive head coach. However, Tampa Bay has a lot more to lose by jeopardizing some of their key players and backups here. As I said, I feel Miami is a little deeper at key offensive positions and have a little more to prove. Take the Dolphins on the money line. Thank you.

The Cleveland Browns are in a very tough division. And yet they are favorites to take the AFC North. Prognosticators also have this team touted at winning 9.5-games. The Jacksonville Jaguars are still rebuilding. They play in the AFC South in which they are predicted to finish third. This is a team that is slated to win just 6.5-games. Looking closely at these two squads, they are both pretty stacked at the quarterback position. However, Deshaun Watson is expected to start for Cleveland. His future in this league is uncertain. Therefore, I feel that him starting here is his only real chance at the moment to make a splash for himself. They also have several other quarterbacks that are pretty darn good on this team. Not only that, but they are a little deeper at some key areas such as their ground game and the receiving corp. This is also a team that is known to play a little harder in the month of August, going 9-2 straight up and 7-4 against the spread the last three preseasons. Compare that to a Jacksonville team that was 4-7 straight up and 5-6 against the spread the last three preseason campaigns. Jaguars fans know it’s going be another long season with some ups and downs. Therefore, there is no pressure on them to win right out of the gate. And they are not going to jeopardize any major players here. On the other hand, the Browns are a little deeper. And they have to make a statement of the rest of their division that they are a force to be reckoned with. Take Cleveland on the money line.. Thank you.

This season, the New England Patriots are expected to win just 8.5-games. Well sports fans, I cannot remember the last time they were touted to win so few contests. Their opponent today, the New York Giants, are expected to win just seven outings this season. Let’s be honest, no one expects too much from the team again this year. They are predicted to finish dead-last in the very competitive, NFC East. Meanwhile, the Patriots are thought to finish second behind the Bills in the AFC East. Those numbers just don’t add up to me to be honest with you, my friends. This is a team steeped in tradition with a lot of success the last 20+ years. They are currently 50-1 to win the Super Bowl. That’s just not gonna’ sit well with their loyal fans. They must come out and get their fans excited for the upcoming campaign with a big win in their first performance this season. Not only that but they’re a little deeper at some key positions than the Giants. They have a couple of good backup quarterbacks, a couple of solid running backs, and a slew of very talented receivers. Well, New York has a couple of quarterbacks and running backs you may know. Several of their second and fourth string players at those positions are either out or questionable here today. One more item I’d like you to keep in mind. The last three preseasons, New England is 9-2 straight up and 8-3 against the spread. I expect them to come out and make a statement here today and get their loyal fans as well as their roster excited. Take New England. Thank you.

The Las Vegas Raiders have a lot of pressure on them to win. They have a very big payroll. They have head coach starting his first full season, looking to make a splash. And they must change the public persona about their off-the-field legal situations the last few years. Preseason prognosticators have this team winning approximately eight-games. Well, that’s not going to cut it for a team that needs to put fans in the stands. Here in Vegas, the scuttlebutt is a lot of season-ticket holders are trying to unload their tickets. This is something that will reflect on the team. The Jacksonville Jaguars, let’s face it, no one expects a lot from them this season. They are touted to win just 6.5-games. While there’s talent on this team. It’s going take a few years for them to start winning. Believe it or not, they are predicted to finish third in the AFC South, while the Raiders are predicted to finish last in the AFC West. A big win here for Las Vegas can change a lot of things for this team right away. Not only that, but they are a little deeper on the depth chart. They have some very good players looking to make the second and third strings at key positions. Moreover, this is a team that historically tries in NFL preseason, going 5-2 both straight up and against the spread the last seven. Meanwhile, the Jaguars are just 1-6 straight up and 2-5 against the spread their last seven in August. Take the Raiders. I see this line bouncing a bit. No one expects too much from Philly this season as the team is touted to finish last in the NFC East. However, New England is forecasted to be the AFC East’s second place team and is still a fan favorite at 10/1 to win the AFC. Certainly, gone are the days of Larry Czonka led teams of the 70's and the Dan Marino led teams of the 80's and 90's. However, cross-state rivals, Tampa Bay AIN'T that much better. They are only one of seven teams touted to win double-digit games this season (10.5). They come off a 12-win campaign last year, losing to the Patriots in the AFC Title game, in OT. Cincinnati comes off a six-win season last year (slated to win six this year), is picked to finish last in the AFC North, is 50/1 to win the AFC and 100/1 in Super Bowl odds. The team and their fans don't expect too much this upcoming season. So coming out here and starting the campaign with a big showing will boost their confidence and give their loyal fans something to be excited about. They were 3-1 both SU and ATS in last year's exhibition play. The Chiefs will not put any of their playmakers at risk here, especially in Week 1 of the preseason and hurt any chances of returning to the AFC Championship and a possible Super Bowl appearance. Of course they share the division with the Chiefs, which along with the Patriots are the AFC's forecasted two best teams. But, the Chargers are surely an AFC elite. However, the Bills need to come out of the gate with a solid performance to boost their confidence and give their loyal fans a glimmer of hope. I don't expect you'll see any of the Colts key players see too much, if any, action. The Denver Broncos missed the playoffs last season and are only slated to win seven games this season, with odds of 40/1 to win the AFC. With John Elway on the hot seat and 1st year HC, Vic Fangio under the gun to start off the season with a bang, I like this team laying under a FG. They need to boost their confidence as a team and also generate a bit of excitement for their prideful and loyal, fan base. This is a team that is 6-2, both SU and ATS the last two exhibition seasons. By the way, the Broncos finished the regular season last year, losing four in a row both SU and ATS. Starting the 2019-2020 season off with a win would be huge here. The Atlanta Falcons missed the postseason as well last year. But, this is a team with a lot of talent, slated to win 8.5 games and are 15/1 to win the NFC. Under Dan Quinn, who is entering his fifth year as HC, this team is 0-8, both SU and ATS the last two NFLX campaigns. With more to lose if starters get injured, and not showing interest in August contests, I expect this Falcons team to not really try to hard here. Take Denver. Thank you.

New York is in trouble. Outside of Saquon Barkley and Odell Beckham jr., Eli Manning doesn't have too many weapons at his disposal.
