Steelers vs. Colts Betting Preview 11/24/16 – Thanksgiving Day Odds

Steelers vs. Colts Betting Preview

The Steelers broke a four game losing streak when they beat the hapless Browns last week 24-9. It was Pittsburgh’s first win since Big Ben’s return three weeks ago. He sat out one game against the Patriots and had lost the first two games he played in when he returned. Pittsburgh had been held to 16 points or less in three straight losses and even though they scored 30 points in their game against the Cowboys, they couldn’t hold down Dallas who scored 35 in their game before finally beating Cleveland.

The Colts won two straight games for the first time this year and now have won three of their last four. The Colts have averaged 29.5 points in their last four wins led by quarterback Andrew Luck who has thrown for over 2800 yards and 19 touchdowns while being ranked fifth in the league.

The oddsmakers opened the game with Pittsburgh as a three point favorite and the total at 53. With quarterback Andrew Luck’s status uncertain because of concussion protocols, a number of sites have moved the line and made Pittsburgh a seven point favorite and dropped the total to 50.

According to Covers.com Consensus Analysis an overwhelming 71% of the public are banking on Luck being out this week and are backing the Steelers while 60% feel that even without Luck the total will go over.

Pittsburgh has won eight of the last 10 meetings between these teams with the total going over in the last four.
