01-10-18 | LSU v. Arkansas -9 | 75-54 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 60 m | Show
Taking ARKANSAS tonight. Razorbacks need a win. I think they get it going away by double digits tonight. Off a pair of losses on the road, Arkansas comes home in desperate fashion. They catch LSU in their 2nd straight road game. Off a big win over Texas A&M. 4* Money Maker ARKANSAS
01-10-18 | St. Joe's v. George Mason +4.5 | 79-81 | Win | 100 | 9 h 29 m | Show
Taking GEORGE MASON. Think these are pretty equal teams. I know that St Joe's has a bit of a bigger name, so maybe people think they are a top A-10 team. We are getting a couple baskets from a team that has a conference road loss to who, I believe, (George Washington) is the worse team in the league. I can't see them coming in here and winning by a large margin. Personally, I will sprinkle some ML on Mason. 4* Money Maker GEORGE MASON
01-10-18 | Notre Dame v. Georgia Tech -1 | 53-60 | Win | 100 | 9 h 21 m | Show
Taking GEORGIA TECH. ND off a battle with Syracuse. Now on the road at a GT team that is known to pull an upset or two at home. Won't get into the unranked being favored over ranked side of things. ND without 1, and possibly 2 of their top scorers. I just see the Irish heading home with North Carolina and then Louisville on deck. I can see this being a let-down spot in the schedule. And vs a team like GT, or any team that is playing the home dog role, I have to take that angle. Especially when we have a revenge spot from a 69-58 loss already this season. GT had a 28-23 half-time and down 51-50 with 4 to go. 4* Money Maker GEORGIA TECH
01-10-18 | Mercer -6 v. Western Carolina | Top | 56-58 | Loss | -112 | 9 h 11 m | Show |
Taking MERCER. These guys one of the monsters of the So Con. And they are facing a mouse from the bottom of the conference. This is it for them though. Off to an 0-2 start in conference play as they have dropped both game to the other top teams, Furman and East Tenn. So this the the old 'circle the wagons game.' Must win in every sense of the word. They beat Western by 15 at home, and 20 on this court. They need more of the same tonight. 8* Sure Shot MERCER
01-10-18 | UCF -1 v. Connecticut | 53-62 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 51 m | Show
Taking UCF. Will grab these guys tonight. You have seen my type a couple times how I think UConn is a down program. What we know for certain is that UCF will bring the defense tonight. Less than 60ppg. Heck, they have allowed less than 40. 40!! in two of their last 3 games. Remove the 3 overtime games in the last 10 - We are now looking at a Huskies that team has scored more than 64 points twice. 5 times 64 or less. It is 3 of the last 4 if you take out their Tulsa OT game. Can't see them outscoring this defense. 4* Money Maker UCF
01-10-18 | Northern Iowa v. Indiana State -1.5 | 67-69 | Win | 100 | 9 h 44 m | Show
Taking INDIANA STATE. Northern Iowa has dropped 6 straight. They are having trouble scoring. They were already 3-8 ATS last 11 in this series. In basically a PK type game, I have to side with the home team. 4* Money Maker INDIANA STATE
01-09-18 | San Jose State +22 v. San Diego State | 49-85 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 31 m | Show
Taking SAN JOSE. Yeah, these guys are brutal. But I will grab the points here. San Diego has a much bigger game on deck with at Boise. Worth a shot. 4* Money Maker SAN JOSE STATE
01-09-18 | Tennessee -2 v. Vanderbilt | 92-84 | Win | 100 | 10 h 43 m | Show
Taking TENNESSEE. Uh. Tough doing this. Everything I normally think tells me to take Vandy. Not that they are huge home dogs. But Vols are off that win over Kentucky. That being said, that was really a 'must win' for them having dropped 2 straight to open SEC play. (Ark OT , Auburn) Vandy is 1-11 ATS this year! 4* Money Maker TENNESSEE
01-09-18 | Hurricanes v. Lightning -1.5 | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 3 m | Show
4* PL Money TB LIGHTNING
01-09-18 | Canucks v. Capitals -1.5 | 1-3 | Win | 158 | 4 h 34 m | Show
4* PL Money WASHINGTON CAPITALS .. sorry for late update. Forgot to submit after I added college hoops this morning.
01-09-18 | Texas A&M +6.5 v. Kentucky | 73-74 | Win | 100 | 8 h 20 m | Show
Taking TEXAS A&M - These guys have sunk like an anchor after being ranked in the Top 10. But injuries will do that. They got their leading scored G Hogg back last game. Davis and Williams (should be back, out ill last game) should be able to control the paint. With Kentucky. They always reload. But they have to get on the same page. It is a problem. I say it every year with them. More so when fading them as road faves. But this is a tough Aggies team. They are in need of wins. 4* Money Maker TEXAS A&M
01-09-18 | Texas Tech +3 v. Oklahoma | 65-75 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 15 m | Show
Taking TEXAS TECH. Everyone loves Trae Young. What is not to like? Kid is making Curry look like a guy who just takes layups with the way he bombs. Sooners scoring over 90ppg. Tech giving up 60. Something has to give. I am sure we will something something in the middle. Just see everyone jumping in Oklahoma and I think it is mainly because they think they can't lose 2 straight. 4* Money Money TEXAS TECH
01-09-18 | Tulane +3.5 v. Memphis | 89-96 | Loss | -108 | 8 h 4 m | Show
Taking TULANE. Yeah. I'll be the first to say that normally, I am fading the Hurricanes off that win over SMU. But this team is different. Already surpassed last years win total. Dunleavy isn't going to let these guys come in too cocky. We have a pair of seniors leading the team. Double revenge and 3 straight losses to Memphis. Tigers really young. Faded them at home already a couple games (Mercer, Samford) and will do the same tonight. 4* Money Maker TULANE
01-09-18 | Ball State v. Ohio -1 | 75-68 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 52 m | Show
Taking OHIO. Maybe I was a bit high on Ball State as Buffalo completely crushed them last game. Easy to think, oh, huge bounce-back. Can't sleep on Ohio though. These guys are right behind Buffalo to win the MAC East. I really like their coach also. 4* Money Maker OHIO
01-09-18 | Georgetown +6.5 v. St. John's | 69-66 | Win | 100 | 8 h 60 m | Show
Taking GEORGETOWN. Alright. We are moving along slowly out of the gate here in 2018 with our college hoops hitting .500 - That is going to change. Let's start that wheel moving in the right direction with the Hoyas. Think Ewing's guys hang tough here. These are fairly equal teams that both need to get some conference wins. Have to lean to the road dog though. 4* Money Maker GEORGETOWN
01-08-18 | Spurs v. Kings +6 | 107-100 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 26 m | Show
Taking the KINGS. Can't think about laying with Spurs in a back to back and 4th game in 6 nights. They are 1-4 in b2b spots already this season. SA has won 6 straight here in Sacramento and 11 straight in the series. This is a rare case where I am grabbing points and thinking we just cover as opposed to an outright win. 4* Money Maker SACRAMENTO KINGS
01-08-18 | Alabama -4 v. Georgia | Top | 26-23 | Loss | -105 | 144 h 41 m | Show |
Taking ALABAMA tonight. So. Tide is the team that shouldn't have been playing say a lot of people. Even though as the 4 seed they were to be favored over every other team in the playoffs, and the country for that matter. It is easy to say that the only real team Alabama played, Auburn, beat them. And then you Auburn beating what was the #1 Alabama and then #1 Georgia before falling to Georgia in the SEC Championship. But this Bama team was #1 for nearly all season for a reason. Just like they are favored over every team for a reason. Again, they have been dogs exactly once since 2010. A 1.5 to these same Georgia Bulldogs in 2015. Crimson Tide rolled to a 38-10 win. We know what to expect from Alabama. I thought they would cruise to a relatively easy win over Clemson and they did. I think the Clemson defense is as good, or better than Georgia's. Now. Is Baker Mayfield and the Sooner offense better than the Tide. Absolutely. But they pasted this defense for 48 points. And really, they should have won. And I am not saying that as a guy who had the Sooners. Their 1st year HC Riley really wet the bed when it mattered most. Kirby Smart is an old Bama assistant. Well, Saban is 11-0 winning with an average score of 38-10 over his old coaches. 427-111 in those 11 games Tide have outscored Tennessee (Dooley) , Colorado State (McElwain), Florida (Muschamp)+ (McElwain), Florida State (Jimbo) , and Michigan State (Dantonio. I am not expecting some wild game like that. I think this is going to be more along the lines of Bama/LSU, Auburn/ Oregon than the last 3 playoffs where we saw at least 60 scored in each game. These are really 2 of the same molded programs. But I am backing the teacher over the student. 5* Best Bet ALABAMA
01-08-18 | Navy +4.5 v. Colgate | 62-70 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 11 m | Show
Taking NAVY. Now, you should already know that the Patriot League belongs to Bucknell. But this Navy team, I think, is the 2 team. Granted, it is a big slide down from Bucknell. Colgate having some problems to start conference play as they lost to Lafayette who is coming off a 21 loss season. 3 of the last 4 in this series have been decided by 3 points. The 4th, a 12pt Navy win last year. The teams have gone 2-2 in the last 4 match-ups. Just think Navy a bit better, and we are getting a couple buckets. 4* Money Maker NAVY
01-07-18 | Arizona State v. Utah +2.5 | 80-77 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 21 m | Show
Taking UTAH. Nice home dog for us to back. As fast as Arizona State rose to the fore-front, I am calling for their 3rd straight loss. Ending up a 3 game road trip won't be easy. Utes off a tough loss to Arizona, battling back a couple times before falling. Sun Devils after starting their road trip losing to rival Arizona, lost in OT at Colorado. Now have to face an always tough Utah team. And the last 3 trips here, ASU has been absolutely crushed. 81-46 last year, 83-41 the year before. 2014, 86-63. No way the tam ranked #6 in the land losing 3 straight right? 4* Money Maker UTAH
01-07-18 | Panthers +7 v. Saints | Top | 26-31 | Win | 100 | 24 h 14 m | Show |
Taking the PANTHERS. So. We have the old, it's hard to beat a good time 3 times playing out. Saints won 34-13 and 31-21 this already this year. But it is January football. I am not a fan of Cam at all. But I like his legs and the rest of the RBs vs this depleted Saints defense. Not a lot of depth and they are missing 5 starters. We saw the Bucs march down the field last week as time was running out to score a win. On a side not, that TD sent it Over the total and we go 7-2 instead of a super 8-1. I just think that we have seen Carolina knock off the Pats and Vikes. A pair of pretty good teams. We cashed with the Falcons over these same Panthers. Everyone saying, oh Carolina has a lot to play for. Well what about Atlanta. They were playing for their season. (had them yesterday also) - Road team 23-10 ATS last 33 in the series. Underdog 6-1 ATS last 7 in the series. Panthers 0-6 ATS last 6 in the series. Something has to give. I am betting on Cam being 'Superman' and not 'Laptop Man' - 8* Sure Shot CAROLINA PANTHERS
01-07-18 | College of Charleston +2.5 v. Towson | 62-73 | Loss | -108 | 5 h 37 m | Show
Taking CHARLESTON. Will grab these guys off that Drexel loss. Drexel? Man. If there was ever a case of looking ahead to a bigger game, that was it. These two guys, for me, are the CAA top dogs. And if CoC was coming in off a win over Drexel, 5 straight and 9 of 10. Then maybe a play on Towson would have been in the cards. But that isn't the case. We get now a very focused and angry Charleston against the Tigers. The Tigers, who have already lost at Charleston by 9. Towson, who before beating up on Wilmington, had lost 4 straight (Elon, CoC, Pitt, Oakland) - Charleston has won 5 of the last 6 in the series. Again, bad loss. I'm on the small dog. 4* Money Maker CHARLESTON
01-07-18 | Bills v. Jaguars -8 | 3-10 | Loss | -115 | 96 h 37 m | Show
Taking the JAGUARS. Forget the line here. To me, this game is pick the winner. And if you think the Bills cover, then you think they win outright. I don't think they win outright. I think the Jaguars defense is a beast. I think with a gimpy McCoy, if he even plays, we know he is not near 100%, that Taylor will force some things. That plays into the Jax strength, their defense. Yes, it is frightening laying near double digits with Blake Bortles. Jags have won their last 5 at home, last 3 putting up 35ppg. 4* Money Maker JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
01-06-18 | Falcons +6.5 v. Rams | 26-13 | Win | 100 | 79 h 47 m | Show
Taking the FALCONS here. Now. I know that the Rams had a great year. Rookie HC takes off with a 2nd year QB who looked like a bust and turns 4-12 into 11-5. But those two combinations is exactly why I am on the visitors in this spot. Atlanta really changed gears down the stretch going 6-2. Rams not exactly with a huge home field edge here either. Falcons couldn't make a stop in the 2nd half of the Super Bowl. But the defense is what has improved this year while the offense has taken a step back. I do like this Rams team. But all I have heard from people is, how don't the Rams win by a touchdown? For me, this is too many points to give to a playoff tested experienced team. Don't be shocked if Falcons win this outright. 4* Money Maker ATLANTA FALCONS
01-06-18 | UTEP v. Louisiana Tech -10 | Top | 88-97 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 13 m | Show |
Taking LA TECH. Where are the UTEP heads? The coach resigns. Are they going to stay after this year? New AD means a new HC. La Tech is looking to battle for the CUSA crown. I think they roll by 20. 5* Best Bet LOUISIANA TECH
01-06-18 | Texas-San Antonio v. Southern Miss +1 | 83-93 | Win | 102 | 5 h 24 m | Show
Taking SOUTHERN MISS. Just think this is a bit of let-down spot for San Antonio. That's all. 4* Money Maker SOUTHERN MISS
01-06-18 | CS Sacramento +10.5 v. Eastern Washington | 67-82 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 19 m | Show
Taking SACRAMENTO STATE. Have to ride the trend here. Hornets 13-3 ATS last 16 on the road. 16-5 ATS in Big Sky play. 12-5 ATS last 17 in the series. 7-3 ATS playing at Eastern Washington. And the dog 9-4 ATS last 13 in series. 4* Money Maker SAC STATE
01-06-18 | Titans v. Chiefs -8 | Top | 22-21 | Loss | -110 | 91 h 48 m | Show |
Taking the CHIEFS here. Man oh man with all these lines wild-card weekend. Normally I am shying away from near double digit faves come playoff time. But I see a pair of totally different teams. Yes. We cashed the Titans as our Top 10* Money Bomb last Sunday. But we don't fall in love with teams. We like numbers. Value. We started the season backing the Titans over the Raiders. And we will end their season fading them vs the Chiefs. KC a bit different now with their new OC calling plays. I just don't see Tennessee being able to hang close here. I think that KC gets a big edge on special teams that gets us this 10-14 pt win. 5* Best Bet KC CHIEFS
01-06-18 | Western Michigan -2.5 v. Miami-OH | 67-62 | Win | 100 | 4 h 3 m | Show
Taking WESTERN MICHIGAN. So, this might be a bit of sucker line. And I normally try to avoid them or go the other way. But this is the MAC. Maybe people don't know as much about it. But I think that WMU is right up there with Buffalo and a slight notch below Ball State. I have Miami O pegged as a bottom feeder. Lay it with small road fave. 4* Money Maker WESTERN MICHIGAN
01-06-18 | Arkansas State v. Georgia State -11 | 75-79 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 53 m | Show
Taking GEORGIA STATE. Not that I compare the too. But if Georgia Southern smacks these guys by 30, then there is no reason Georgia State can't do half of that. Red Wolves breaking in a new coach so conference play will be a new adjustment. 4* Money Maker GEORGIA STATE
01-06-18 | DePaul +8 v. St. John's | 91-74 | Win | 100 | 3 h 58 m | Show
Taking DEPAUL. Lost with these guys last game. But I will ride them again. Just think this is too many points for a Johnnies team that has had trouble scoring. DePaul has been putting up 80+ in 3 of their last 4. The dog is 7-3 ATS last 10 in the series. 4* Money Maker DEPAUL
01-06-18 | Texas v. Baylor -3 | 60-69 | Win | 100 | 3 h 53 m | Show
Taking BAYLOR. Think the Bears can slow the size of Texas. Tough spot on the road for the young Longhorns. Texas hasn't been hitting 3s yet. Can't see them getting on in hostile territory. 4* Money Maker BAYLOR BEARS
01-06-18 | Nevada -13 v. Air Force | 86-75 | Loss | -105 | 3 h 45 m | Show
Taking NEVADA here. Try to not make it a habit laying numbers like this, especially on the road. But Nevada should win this one by 20 just going through the motions. 4* Money Maker NEVADA
01-06-18 | Buffalo v. Ball State -3 | 83-63 | Loss | -109 | 3 h 42 m | Show
Taking BALL STATE. Like both of these MAC teams. Both at the top of the East and West. But I have to back the home team. Just a little bit more talented. And, getting smoked by 27 by Buffalo last year on this court, well maybe they want some payback. 4* Money Maker BALL STATE
01-06-18 | Bowling Green v. Eastern Michigan -10 | 75-71 | Loss | -107 | 1 h 2 m | Show
Taking EASTERN MICHIGAN. Alright guys. Sorry with the late College Hoops. A little internet trouble out here. Not sure if lines were knocked out by a tree falling with ice or something. So EMU today. I have BG at the low end of all the MAC teams. Eagles 11-3 ATS last 14 vs Bowling Green. 4* Money Maker EASTERN MICHIGAN
01-05-18 | Knicks v. Heat -5 | 103-107 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 25 m | Show
Taking the HEAT tonight. Can't back Knicks on the road. Heat can atone for getting ambushed in NY, losing by 29 at the end of November. NY 6th game in 10 days, and 5th road tilt during that span. (1-3 in those roadies) Miami 10-4 ATS last 10 the series - Knicks 5-12 ATS last 17 on the road. 4* Money Maker MIAMI HEAT
01-05-18 | Manhattan +5 v. Monmouth | 66-77 | Loss | -102 | 9 h 39 m | Show
Taking MANHATTAN tonight. This isn't the same Monmouth team of years past people. They already have 2 conference losses. Yes, you can say it is a circle the wagons game to save their season. But I really don't think it matters. I am not going to run down their schedule before they started conference play. But, I'll say it is filled with losses. Time for a little Jasper revenge. 0-2 last season, and losers of 3 straight to Hawks, I think Manhattan scores the outright win tonight. I think these guys are near the top of the MAAC. We also have some trends working in our favor. Underdog a perfect 5-0 ATS last 5 in the series. Manhattan on a 7-0 ATS run in the series, and have covered 4 straight here in NJ. Monmouth 0-4 ATS their last 4 at home. And the Jaspers on a 4-1 road ATS run. 4* Money Maker MANHATTAN
01-04-18 | Appalachian State v. UL-Lafayette -12.5 | 45-78 | Win | 100 | 10 h 47 m | Show
Taking LAFAYETTE. Like my Sun Belt teams. These guys are a talented group. I know that Appy just knocked off Sun Belt favorite Arlington. But that just assures us that ULL will have their full focus on the Mountaineers. 4* Money Maker UL LAFAYETTE
01-04-18 | Troy State v. Texas-Arlington -6.5 | Top | 76-86 | Win | 100 | 10 h 50 m | Show |
Taking ARLINGTON tonight. Have these guys as the top dogs in the Sun Belt. Well, not the start they wanted as they dropped 2 straight on the road to open conference play. Basically for me, this is a 'must' win for the Mavericks. I'm expecting a focused game. 10* Money Bomb TEXAS ARLINGTON
01-04-18 | Western Carolina +5 v. Chattanooga | 75-63 | Win | 100 | 9 h 46 m | Show
Taking WESTERN CAROLINA tonight. This isn't the usual Chattanooga team. New coach. New players. WCU 5-2 ATS last 7 in the series and the underdog 6-2 ATS last 8. Mocs just 1-7 ATS last 8 at home. 4* Money Maker WESTERN CAROLINA
01-03-18 | NC State +7 v. Notre Dame | 58-88 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 43 m | Show
Taking NC STATE here. Wolfpack off their worse game of the season. I know Brey is looking to become ND's winningest HC off all-time tonight. Doesn't mean they have to cover. 4* Money Maker NC STATE
01-03-18 | Clemson v. Boston College +6 | 74-70 | Win | 100 | 8 h 41 m | Show
Taking BOSTON COLLEGE. Will grab the tough home dog. Who has Clemson beat? I see one good vs Florida. And that was the Gators in a slump. BC played Texas Tech tough in a winter tournament. Beat Duke here and just lost by a point on the road to Virginia. Might even go +180 ML. 4* Money Maker BOSTON COLLEGE
01-03-18 | George Washington v. Duquesne -1 | 52-69 | Win | 100 | 7 h 27 m | Show
Taking DUQUESNE. Look. I don't expect much from either club this year. I think they are at the bottom of the A10 conference. That being said, in a basic PK game like this, I will grab the home team. GW has lost every game they haven't played at home this year. Florida State, Kansas State, Xavier, Penn State. GW won both games last year, but I'm on the home team serving up a win and a plate of revenge. 4* Money Maker DUQUESNE
01-02-18 | Georgetown v. DePaul -4 | 90-81 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 36 m | Show
Taking DEPAUL. Again. One of those spots. I know GT isn't it's old dominate self. And DePaul beat them last year. I think it is a rebuilding year for Patrick Ewing's group. They won some games. But I think the Blue Demons are the better team tonight. 4* Money Maker DEPAUL
01-02-18 | San Diego State -7.5 v. Colorado State | 77-68 | Win | 100 | 11 h 42 m | Show
Taking SAN DIEGO STATE. So we get a little triple revenge as Colorado State won both regular season games by 1, and 8 in the MWC Tournament. This isn't the same Rams team. Don't get giddy over 8 wins. They score 70 and give up 75. They beat their cupcakes. Give me the Aztecs to win this one by 10. 4* Money Maker SAN DIEGO STATE
01-02-18 | Panthers v. Wild -1.5 | 1-5 | Win | 195 | 9 h 10 m | Show
Taking the WILD and going PUCK LINE. Not going to lay over 150. A couple days for Florida. Just think Minnesota wins this one. Nothing fancy. 4-1. 4* PL Money MINNESOTA WILD
01-02-18 | Blazers +9 v. Cavs | 110-127 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 12 m | Show
Taking PORTLAND. Cavs with Boston on deck for a big ESPN game. I think the Trailblazers bring the proverbial 'A' game vs the big, bad LeBron Cavaliers. 4* Money Maker PORTLAND
01-02-18 | Manhattan -4 v. Marist | 101-96 | Win | 100 | 9 h 1 m | Show
Taking MANHATTAN. Pretty simple for me. I think the Jaspers are the second best team in the MAAC. Marist on the other hand, I have pegged at the bottom. Manhattan 5-2 ATS last 7 when visiting the Red Foxes. 4* Money Maker MANHATTAN
01-02-18 | William & Mary v. James Madison -2.5 | 84-76 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 52 m | Show
Taking JAMES MADISON here. Just one of those spots I am going against the numbers. Madison gives up more than they score. They have 4 wins on the year. W&M come in with 8 wins, scoring almost 90ppg. And are faves. 4* Money Maker JAMES MADISON
01-02-18 | Ohio v. Central Michigan -1.5 | 50-75 | Win | 100 | 9 h 46 m | Show
Taking CENTRAL MICHIGAN. Chips have controlled this series winning 4 straight winning by 10 on the road and 23 on this court. Maybe the line is too good to be true. But laying a bucket, I'll grab the home team. 4* Money Maker CENTRAL MICHIGAN
01-02-18 | Towson -1.5 v. Elon | 72-75 | Loss | -102 | 9 h 38 m | Show
Taking TOWSON. So I had these guys both right near the top of CAA play. Tigers coming in off loss to a good College of Charleston team. They each won on their own courts last year. Just feel that Towson is the better team. 4* Money Maker TOWSON
01-01-18 | Alabama -3 v. Clemson | Top | 24-6 | Win | 100 | 71 h 54 m | Show |
Taking ALABAMA. So here we are. 3rd times a charm right. Who takes the crown? I had Clemson ML last year. Had Alabama minus points the year before. Back to the Tide. Look. All I heard coming into the playoff selection was how Bama didn't play anyone. Lost to the only good team they played. Didn't deserve to be here. Forget the fact they were ranked #1 all year long. You don't think Saban uses this crap to motivate. Hard to motivate when you have been favored in 50 straight games or whatever it is. Well. After I typed that I went all the back to the 2010 season. 1 game. They were a 1.5pt dog at Georgia in 2015. They won 38-10. These guys are healthy. The defenses might offset. But Bama offense has the edge. They aren't facing Watson who carved them up. Heck, we saw what he did in his brief NFL stint. No. They get Kelly Bryant. 13 TDs 6 INTs on the year. In the 2 previous Championships, we saw 76-75, Bama by 1. That was with Watson. As good as Clemson is. I can't sit here and think they are that good right now. I know you will here about their great bowl run the last few years. We aren't laying 6.5 like the previous 2 years. It's a FG. And I am in on the Tide. 8* Sure Shot ALABAMA
12-31-17 | 49ers +2 v. Rams | 34-13 | Win | 100 | 104 h 14 m | Show
-- I know this line has moved since we put it out -- Still take SF - They will cover a TD -- Taking the NINERS. Well. Faded the Jimmy G show last week. That didn't work out well. But we see they aren't playing for a higher pick. I said in games we took SF that they like Jimmy and their HC. Rams I think will rest up here after a fine season and get ready for the playoffs. 4* Money Maker SF NINERS
12-31-17 | Jaguars v. Titans -3 | Top | 10-15 | Win | 100 | 56 h 4 m | Show |
Taking the TITANS. Not sure where the Jags motivation is? They are locked into the 3 seed. They host a home game. Even off that SF loss, I can't see them risking getting guys injured. Maybe they play a half. I had Tennessee last Sunday. Win and they are in. I'll back the small home fave. 10* Money Bomb TENNESSEE TITANS
12-31-17 | Panthers v. Falcons -4 | Top | 10-22 | Win | 100 | 20 h 0 m | Show |
Taking the FALCONS here. Man. All I am hearing is talk about the Panthers. I know this isn't the same Super Bowl team as last year. The offense clearly not the same. I know Julio is banged up. But hell. It is Week 17. Playoff spot on the line. Time to man up. They win, they are in. They lose. And they need Arizona to beat Seattle. Just take care of business yourself. As for Carolina. They have some possible seed movement. Anywhere from 2-6. Not sure how they play it. They get down early, they might pull back. They just played a really tough game vs TB needed everything to win. Atlanta 7-2 ATS last 9 here at home vs Panthers. 5* Best Bet ATLANTA FALCONS
12-31-17 | Texans v. Colts -5.5 | 13-22 | Win | 100 | 17 h 56 m | Show
Taking the COLTS. So Indy has lost 6 straight and 9 of 10. Yet, are favored. Look. Normally this a game I would mark a giant X through during the regular season. But final game of the season. Most likely, final game of Pagano's reign for the Colts. I will back the home team. As bad as this team is, likely assured the 3rd pick in the draft, they haven't quit. Oh, they blow 10pt leads like that is what you are suppose to do to win games. But they aren't mailing games in. Can't see them doing it here. Not with Frank Gore also probably heading out the door. They will play for that old timer for sure. Texans have been riddled with injuries all year. Not even sure they get off the plane. This is the game the Colts should win by 10+. Not get up 17-0 and somehow lose 21-20. 4* Money Maker INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
12-30-17 | Wisconsin v. Miami-FL +6 | 34-24 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 50 m | Show
Taking MIAMI tonight. Almost want to go +200 on ML. But we'll grab the points. Now. I still think The U is a year from really being a top program again. Richt can coach and recruit. Have to like them in the home dog role. We have seen them demolish Va Tech and ND on this field. They have pulled some magic out of the rear-ends this year in last second wins over FSU and G-Tech. Plus, that crazy turnover chain! Everyone always sleeps on Wiscy. All they do is churn out 10 win seasons so we can't overlook them. But the points are too good to pass up. 4* Money Maker MIAMI HURRICANES
12-30-17 | Illinois-Chicago v. Northern Kentucky -14 | 51-86 | Win | 100 | 6 h 50 m | Show
4* Money Maker NORTHERN KENTUCKY
12-30-17 | Texas A&M v. Alabama | 57-79 | Win | 100 | 8 h 50 m | Show
Taking ALABAMA. Did you even have to look to see where I was going with this game? Unranked giving points to ranked. And not just a ranked team, but a team in the Top 10. 4* Money Maker ALABAMA Might come back with a few CBB - will be adding NFL also -
12-30-17 | Middle Tennessee v. UAB +1 | 63-60 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 41 m | Show
Taking UAB here. These are who I think are the top 2 CUSA teams. Will gladly take the Blazers at home. Mid Ten playing their 5th straight away game. Off a 1-4 neutral court run. Miami, USC, Princeton, Auburn. Not exactly cupcakes. Now they have to get up for their biggest challenge. I think the Blazers in a better scheduling spot. UAB 8-1 ATS last 9 in series, and 6-0 ATS here at home. 4* Money Maker UAB
12-30-17 | St. Louis +6 v. La Salle | 60-83 | Loss | -107 | 1 h 54 m | Show
Taking STL. Too many points. Think Bilikens are an improved group this year. 4* Money Maker STL BILLIKENS
12-30-17 | Tennessee v. Arkansas -5 | 93-95 | Loss | -105 | 15 h 38 m | Show
Taking ARKANSAS here. As much as I love cashing my small schools, like my Top 10* Money Bomb last night on Idaho, or our Best Bet last night on UL Lafayette. I do come back to big schools when I see something I like. And there is nothing more I like in college hoops than the old 'unranked' laying points to the 'ranked' team. I can't knock the Vols. Only losses to NC and Nova. Not too shabby. Now, scoring 90ppg like the Hogs you would think you are just beating up on the Samfords of the world. Well, 104 on Oral Roberts I'll give you. 101 on UConn offsets that. They did lose to NC 87-68. But even with the Vols playing NC to the bitter end, we have to look deeper. That was a home game for Tenn. Much like this is for Arkansas. I see this as 10-13 point win. 4* Money Maker ARKANSAS
12-30-17 | Iowa State +4.5 v. Memphis | 21-20 | Win | 100 | 38 h 36 m | Show
Taking the POINTS with IOWA STATE. These guys went into Oklahoma and won. They win ugly. They lose ugly. They can play defense. They can put up points on offense. This is a scrappy bunch. This is a home game for Memphis and it looks a bit low to me. They do have some trouble slowing teams down, even if they march up and down putting their own points on the board. But the Cyclones won't be shocked. They see Big 12 spread offensives all the time. I think their defense can do enough to maybe pull out the outright this afternoon. 4* Money Maker IOWA STATE
12-30-17 | Louisville -6.5 v. Mississippi State | Top | 27-31 | Loss | -115 | 63 h 52 m | Show |
Taking LOUISVILLE here. Big edge for the Cards. First, the coach. Plenty of bowls under his belt. Miss State HC left for greener pastures. Second. QBs. Last year's Heisman who had a pretty good follow up season, in his last college game. For the Miss State, their season starter lost for the year in Egg Bowl vs Ole Miss. I just think this lines up with a lot of positives for UL. Like I said - Mullen to the Gators. No Fitzgerald. Tough to overcome a UL team looking to make up for last years 29-9 loss to LSU, another SEC team. No lack of focus as their QB is looking to go out on a high note. 8* Sure Shot LOUISVILLE
12-30-17 | Wichita State -10 v. Connecticut | 72-62 | Push | 0 | 14 h 44 m | Show
Taking WICHITA STATE. Not in the habit of laying double digit with road faves. But, will in this case. Connecticut is really down. This is not the old Jim Calhoun days. Actually shocked Kevin Ollie still has this gig. Remember when he was on the NBA radar. He won a title, but not with any of his players. His core guys went 16-17 last year. I don't see how they stay within 10. Heck. I think Shockers win by 15-20. Huskies with 5 losses already. Auburn, Arizona, Arkansas, Michigan State, Syracuse. They have an OT win over Monmouth. Who they trailed at home, by 6 at the half. They have an OT win over Columbia. Columbia! Who they trailed by 11 at half. Wichita will want to get their AAC career off to a nice start. Thumbing Uconn would do that. 4* Money Maker WICHITA STATE
12-29-17 | USC +8.5 v. Ohio State | 7-24 | Loss | -115 | 70 h 19 m | Show
Taking USC. You can grab the points, but we will grab the +250 for a nicer payday. I know everyone is talking about OSU snub. But how do you think SC feels? These guys have similar resumes. But OSU was trucked by Iowa allow 50+ to a 6 loss team. At least getting pummeled on the road in South Bend isn't as ugly. SC is 20-2 with Denard under center. 4* Money Maker USC
12-29-17 | UL-Lafayette -10 v. Arkansas-Little Rock | Top | 77-63 | Win | 100 | 10 h 10 m | Show |
Taking ULL. Had these guys in a loss at Clemson. I think they beat these guys by 15-20 tonight. As I have said. I think these guys can be Sun Belt Champs and get fitted for dancing shows. Ark-LR is the gang that can't shoot straight. 38% from the field. 25% from 3, 64% FT. Getting outscored by about 10 a game. 5* Best Bet UL LAFAYETTE
12-29-17 | Idaho State -2.5 v. North Dakota | Top | 74-57 | Win | 100 | 10 h 32 m | Show |
Taking IDAHO. Look. I have these guys winning the Big Sky. To do that. You need to prove yourselves. What better way than to get some revenge. North Dakota won both games last year. Doing it by taking out last year's Big Sky Champs is what is needed tonight. 10* Money Bomb IDAHO
12-29-17 | Texas State +4 v. Appalachian State | 62-66 | Push | 0 | 9 h 16 m | Show
Taking TEXAS STATE. Have to take the points here. Both teams not expected to do much in the Sun Belt. 4* Money Maker TEXAS STATE
12-29-17 | Utah State v. New Mexico State +4 | Top | 20-26 | Win | 100 | 67 h 1 m | Show |
Taking NEW MEXICO STATE. First bowl game in nearly 60 years for the Aggies. These guys looked pretty evenly matched in my eyes. Not a far ride for Aggies backers. Word is they will be rolling in pretty deep with fan support. Huge game for the school. 5* Best Bet NEW MEXICO STATE
12-29-17 | Toledo +4.5 v. Pennsylvania | 85-72 | Win | 100 | 7 h 46 m | Show
Taking TOLEDO. Just one of those spots where I can't bet the Ivy. Toledo is a MAC monster this season. But they aren't the worse of the bunch either. There will be zero home court advantage for Penn. Getting any points is a gift. I think we can win this one outright. 4* Money Maker TOLEDO
12-28-17 | Michigan State +1 v. Washington State | Top | 42-17 | Win | 100 | 47 h 57 m | Show |
Taking MICHIGAN STATE. Now. I will say that I was looking at Washington State. They lose their top 2 WRs for the game. Not that should matter since they have other players with 30+ catches. What really flipped me to Sparty is 1 - The coaches. Does anyone really have faith in Mike Leach? He tossed his hat into the ring of HC openings. Who knows if he was serious. But the coaches under maybe raised an eyebrow. Freshened up resumes. Dantonio, I know, will bring his A game. Dude got into with Michigan HC over the bowls. This team will come out angry with something to prove. 17-4 ATS 14 outright wins in Dantonio's last 21 listed as dogs. Now. This opened with Wash State as a the fave. Now it is a pk or even MSU favored. Either way, Sparty is the play. 8* Sure Shot MICHIGAN STATE
12-28-17 | San Francisco v. San Diego -2.5 | Top | 63-73 | Win | 100 | 6 h 11 m | Show |
Taking SAN DIEGO tonight. Easy to look at SF. I like the Dons. Off a big win over Nevada. Swept SD last year including a 60-43 blowout on this court. Payback for the Toreros. 5* Best Bet SAN DIEGO
12-28-17 | Illinois-Chicago v. Wright State -7 | 61-65 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 43 m | Show
Taking WRIGHT STATE. So, my first thought is to fade off a win at Georgia Tech. But then I look at this conference match-up. And what I see is Wright State blow-outs at home over UIC. 87-49 last year. By 14 in 2016. (Plus a 31pt in 2016 conference tourney) - They have won 5 of the last 6 SU. UIC with 3 wins in their last 10 games. Trinity Christian, Dartmouth and Wisconsin- Parkside. I don't think they have been taking it easy, before flipping the switch for a road game in Dayton. 4* Money Maker WRIGHT STATE
12-28-17 | Virginia Tech v. Oklahoma State -5 | 21-30 | Win | 100 | 44 h 33 m | Show
Taking OKLAHOMA STATE. Man. Was really on these guys coming into the year. Thought the offense would really carry them to the Playoffs. Well, here we are in Orlando with a 9-3 record. Rudolph will score on this defense. I think 10 wins is big for the club. They have a chance to win back to back bowl games. No way that VT has the offense to trade punches. And let's not get wrapped up in the Hokie defense. 21st best passing defense? Who have they faced that runs a similar offense? West Va in Week 1? Remember that the ACC replaced a couple QBs this year. Watson, Trubisky, Kaaya, Peterman. I won't bore you with their schedule. But beating Old Dom and ECU by big numbers isn't all that impressive. They scored more than 24 in 1 ACC game this year. They didn't even face the best ACC passing teams. I think that the big play ability of the Cowboys is a big difference maker this afternoon. 4* Money Maker OKLAHOMA STATE
12-28-17 | East Carolina v. Tulsa -15 | 53-79 | Win | 100 | 6 h 27 m | Show
Taking TULSA. 15? As I say. If it looks too easy.. I think they are begging people to take ECU. We have all the stats in our favor. Not sure I can remember laying a number like this with an AAC team I have ranked this low in conference. 4* Money Maker TULSA ** check back for more CBB **
12-27-17 | San Jose State v. Utah State -12 | 72-86 | Win | 100 | 12 h 39 m | Show
Taking UTAH STATE. I'll the double digits with the Aggies. Here are the win margins the last few home games over San Jose State. 26 last March. 18 in 2016. 28 in 2014. 14-3 ATS last 17 for Utah State over Spartans in this series. 4* Money Maker UTAH STATE
12-27-17 | Missouri -2.5 v. Texas | 16-33 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 23 m | Show
Taking MISSOURI. We already are on the over in this game. I am just thinking that the Tigers are just playing that much better. Texas barely got here. They get up for 'bigger' named teams. I think Missouri puts up 40+. As long as the Longhorns get off the bus, both side and total should cash easily. But we have seen some duds so far. As we rolled with FAU and La Tech, teams scoring 50, but both games went under. (We didn't have sides in either game) But I would hate this one to end up 44-13 and kick myself for not being on the team I believe is going to cover. 5* Best Bet MISSOURI
12-27-17 | Southern Miss +17 v. Florida State | 13-42 | Loss | -115 | 25 h 34 m | Show
Grabbing SOUTHERN MISS and all the points today. How can we not take this dog? I love to gamble as much as the next guy, and the ML +510 or whatever seems inviting. But instead, I will just play the points. First. Basic handicapping brings us to the motivation factor. FSU was a team many thought would be in the Playoffs. You lose your QB and it is all down hill to a 6-6 season just to make this bowl to keep a streak alive. Their HC bolts to Texas A&M. Their defensive leader is sitting out. For Southern Miss, this is a Super Bowl. A chance to beat Florida State. You know their players won't be just going through the motions which could be the case on the other side of the field. 4* Money Maker SOUTHERN MISS
12-24-17 | Seahawks v. Cowboys -4.5 | Top | 21-12 | Loss | -110 | 47 h 16 m | Show |
Taking the COWBOYS this afternoon. Tough laying with Dallas at home especially with their terrible HC. But we are getting a fresh and angry Zeke back. That is enough to move the needle for us to Dallas. This Seattle team is in turmoil. Giving up tons of points. 72 points allowed last 2 weeks! Defense players tweeting at each other. Wilson is a great QB. Guy, by himself, has this team still alive for the playoffs. Now, we have seen Dallas and their brain dead HC crumble with playoffs on the line before. But I can't undervalue the return of Elliot. That is a huge boost. Coming off a 35pt home loss, you expect Seattle to be angry. But the defense is a shell of its former self. My thinking. Zeke, fresh off his break, bullies Seahawks late and Dallas wins this by 10. 5* Best Bet DALLAS COWBOYS
12-24-17 | Giants v. Cardinals -3 | Top | 0-23 | Win | 100 | 47 h 10 m | Show |
Taking ARIZONA. Simple thinking for me here. Giants mail it in here on Christmas Eve. The Eli show comes to an end at home, against rival Redskins. That is the game the Giants go all out. This has been a brutal year all around for NY. The coach. The QB. The WR. The defense. Everything. Good news is they will draft high. Last week they left it all on the field in a near win vs the Eagles. They can't get up like that again. Not a chance. Not 3 weeks in a row. Next week. We'll look to NYG. Both teams playing for pride. Final home game for the Cardinals. Give the fans an early Christmas gift with an easy win! 10* Money Bomb ARIZONA CARDINALS
12-24-17 | Jaguars -4 v. 49ers | 33-44 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 35 m | Show
Taking the JAGUARS. Man. Every where I look I see the Niners are back with Jimmy G. I had these guys with Jimmy the Gent. I get it. They are playing hard. I wrote this in previous write ups. They are playing hard for the new coach, and their QB. But as they say. Defense travels. We can mock Bortles all day long. And who can blame you? Fact is though, the guy has been very good lately. 900+ yards and 7TDs 0 picks last 3 games. And the Jags have been getting into the end zone. Not getting FGs like SF. Jimmy G is moving the ball, but trading 3 and 7 just doesn't add up to Ws. We saw this Jax defense frustrate Big Ben and a pretty good Steelers team to the tune of 5 INTs. Back to how our defense travels. This defense has 51 sacks. SF has given up 42. Good for 8th worse in the league. Jags have allowed just 21 (4th best). SF at tied for 6th least sacks. Jags 2nd in INTs with 20. SF 5th worse with 7. 4* Money Maker JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
12-24-17 | Rams v. Titans +7 | 27-23 | Win | 100 | 43 h 20 m | Show
Taking the TITANS. Had these guys last week ML and they let me down. Now I will grab them as a nice home puppy. Rams off a huge win over Seattle, 42-7. That was their statement game. Much like when we had the Jags over the Seahawks as their statement game. Now, we can see a bit of a let down. They have the Niners at home to close out their season. I just think with a desperate Tennessee team, this is too many points. Titans 9-1 SU their last 10 at home. Have to take the home team this afternoon. 4* Money Maker TENNESSEE TITANS
12-24-17 | Dolphins v. Chiefs -10.5 | 13-29 | Win | 100 | 13 h 43 m | Show
Taking the CHIEFS today. Hate laying huge numbers like this. Went 1-1 last night with the big faves. But this NFL season is crazy. I think the gap between the teams is this big. And not just this game. Look across the card. Just huge lines. As a big dog guy, you can only hold your nose so many times as you get burned during a season. So for here. Win and in KC gets the nod. I thought Miami would be a playoff team. I thought Cutler back with his old coach would produce nice numbers. They have some decent WRs in Miami. They had a decent home run hitting RB before trading him away. The defense has talent. And it will get them a new HC on Black Monday in 2 weeks. Andy Reid isn't calling plays on offense and lo and behold they scored 30 in 2 of the last 3 games. I think Dolphins are going through the motions. We saw how good KC can be as they roared out of the gate. And we saw them flat out awful. They are on the upswing again. Dolphins have been bad on the road. They pulled out a miracle win for us in Week 1. Lost to Jets 20-6. Shut out by Ravens 40-0. Lost by 24 at Carolina, 18 at NE, 8 at Buffalo. Pulled a gem out of the butts in Atlanta 20-17. We know they aren't scoring 20. Chiefs averaging nearly 30ppg last 3. 4* Money Maker KC CHIEFS
12-23-17 | Vikings -8 v. Packers | 16-0 | Win | 100 | 27 h 26 m | Show
Taking the VIKINGS. Again. I will lay the big number. Not happy about it. But Minny is playing for a bye week, and a shot at home field throughout the playoffs. Possible since Eagles lost their QB. Ya never know. Now. If GB had A-Aron behind center. Different story. But that went out last week in their loss. No Rodgers. That is a dagger. They might be OK for a half. But I think the reality sets in. Fact is Hundley has been terrible. OT wins at Cleveland and over TB. Not exactly Vikings type teams. Did we see them get blanked by Baltimore? The only game he looked half-way decent in was against the Steelers. And we now that Pitt plays down to teams. And the fact that they admitted to looking ahead to New England. I think McCarthy is a terrible coach. It is obvious. No Rodgers, the team is pathetic. Zimmer is a great coach. They will be playing for blood tonight. Just look at this line. They are begging us to take the Packers. 8-9pt division home dog rivalry game. I'm not buying it. This is a deflated Packers team. 4* Money Maker MINNESOTA VIKINGS
12-23-17 | Southern Miss v. Mississippi State -13.5 | 64-70 | Loss | -106 | 10 h 32 m | Show
Taking MISSISSIPPI STATE. Will lay the big number. Bulldogs crushed Southern Miss by 42 last year on the road. They have been beating up lesser teams to start this year. This should probably be another 15-20 point win. 4* Money Maker MISSISSIPPI STATE
12-23-17 | Colts v. Ravens -13 | 16-23 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 37 m | Show
Taking the RAVENS. I'm going say this. I can make a case for taking every dog this NFL weekend. But then we will be dead broke. Like last December, the faves continue to crush. We have picked our spots with faves. Some cash, some lose. Laying basically 2 TDs in the NFL is not a recipe for long term success. But I look at Ravens as a team still alive for the playoffs. They get a Colts team that has an OL that has gotten their QB sacked 43 times this season. We had them last week on Thursday. They couldn't contain Brock! You would think they would play with some pride at home. You figure their HC is done after this season. Ravens win out, and are in the playoffs. 5 straight losses for the Colts. They blew another double digit lead, at home to boot! Indy hasn't scored more than 17 points in a game in over a month. Baltimore somehow averaging 30ppg their last 7 games. Ravens have forced 33 TOs, most in the league. I think our D is good for a pair today, and that should generate at least 10 extra points for us. 4* Money Maker BALTIMORE RAVENS
12-23-17 | Army v. San Diego State -6.5 | Top | 42-35 | Loss | -115 | 97 h 50 m | Show |
Taking SAN DIEGO STATE here. I know you worry about option running offenses. Normally, it is a team you take the points with they step up in class against a bigger school. But let's not forget that Rocky Long has seen this offense plenty. Air Force and New Mexico have the same run game. Aztecs defense gave up just 502 yards in those 2 games this year. Now SDST doesn't thrill you out of the stadium with their offense. But in RB Penny, they have a guy who can explode for us. Guy is a beast and will go over 2000 yards in this game. The defense should be the difference for us covering this number. 5* Best Bet SAN DIEGO STATE
12-22-17 | Southern Illinois v. Nevada -12 | 64-86 | Win | 100 | 11 h 23 m | Show
Taking NEVADA tonight. Really like this group. Have moved on them a few times already. Another Vegas Tournament game here. No other real reason for me. Think this is a game that Nevada should win by 20. 4* Money Maker NEVADA
12-22-17 | Bradley +7.5 v. Ole Miss | 59-82 | Loss | -102 | 8 h 30 m | Show
Taking BRADLEY. Have these guys as a little MVC sleeper. Think the doggy bites here. I had Ole Miss a couple games ago and they lost in OT to Ill State as they trailed by 10 at the half. I think Bradley is better. Maybe they take them 'seriously'. But I don't think that really matters. I think this game is a toss up. Points are a bonus. 4* Money Maker BRADLEY
12-22-17 | Elon v. Indiana State -6.5 | 73-68 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 34 m | Show
Taking INDIANA STATE. Might be a sucker play. I have the Sycamores to win this one by 10-15 points. Elon ending a long road trip. These guys just want to get home for Christmas. Should be coasting to a nice win today. 4* Money Maker INDIANA STATE
12-22-17 | UL - Lafayette +11.5 v. Clemson | 60-89 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 47 m | Show
Taking UL LAFAYETTE. Don't be scared of taking this Sun Belt team. These guys have 4 starters back. Should really be an NCAA team if they win their tournament. They have good depth, they hit their FTs. Clemson off big wins over South Carolina and Florida. Are they really taking this group seriously? How many kids on campus tonight? The dog is the hungry wolf looking to take down the big prey. Sun Belt vs ACC. You know who wants it more. Plus we are getting good points. +520 ML won't shock me. 4* Money Maker UL LAFAYETTE
12-21-17 | Cal-Irvine v. Idaho -6 | 67-59 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 7 m | Show
Taking IDAHO. You know by know that I am high on both these teams to win their conferences. But I am down on Irvine. They just are not scoring enough. Don't be fooled by the numbers. They aren't averaging 70 a game. That is inflated after score 91 and 112 vs Chapman and Poets. They haven't cracked 70 since November 24th vs Northern Arizona. Idaho is winning, and winning big at home. This should be at least a 10pt win for us. 4* Money Maker IDAHO
12-21-17 | Liberty -1.5 v. IUPU Ft Wayne | 64-75 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 56 m | Show
Taking LIBERTY this afternoon. People surely will remember that Ft Wayne is coming off an absolute beat-down of Indiana, on the road, winning 92-72. And now, a dog to Liberty. If they beat Big 10 Indiana by 20, they should beat Big South Liberty by 50! Well, Liberty is a tough squad. Plays defense. Should be in the fight for Big South Championship. Not as sexy as beating Indiana, but they did win at Wake. 4* Money Maker LIBERTY Be sure to check back later in the day for more College Hoops additions! Thank you.
12-20-17 | Spurs v. Blazers -2.5 | 93-91 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 57 m | Show
Taking the BLAZERS. So I see a lot of the money coming on the Spurs. They are still nursing Leonard back. Give me Portland. Think their guards get to the basket and are the difference tonight. 4* Money Maker PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS
12-20-17 | Furman +15.5 v. Tennessee | 61-66 | Win | 100 | 9 h 9 m | Show
Taking me some money earnin' FURMAN tonight. How do you play the Vols off that NC loss? I can't. Up by 6 at half and getting run out 11-3 to end the game and lose 78-73. Rough one. Furman is a leader in the So Con. They have seniors. They can hit their 3s. They have a pounder inside in Rafferty. I think we stay inside this number. 4* Money Maker FURMAN
12-19-17 | Cal-Irvine +9 v. Montana | 68-86 | Loss | -106 | 9 h 5 m | Show
Taking IRVINE tonight. Have to grab the points with the Anteaters. They have strung some losses together on this road trip. I can accept that. But they haven't been run out of games. They can rebound. The have some size. Tough defenders. For me, this is just a value spot on a team I like. 4* Money Maker CAL IRVINE
12-19-17 | Western Illinois +5 v. Eastern Illinois | 77-78 | Win | 100 | 9 h 6 m | Show
Taking WESTERN ILLINOIS. These guys played early with the Leathernecks winning by a bucket. Fast forward and Western is now 7-2 winning it's last 2 games by double digits. Eastern 2-7 without it's PG Lewis. WIU bringing defense allow 63pgg and 38% shooting from the floor. Eastern has 2 wins. They crushed something called Fontbonne 96-44. The other 80-79 over IUPU at home. Western beat IUPU 90-77. Against comparable teams, Western is just putting up better numbers right now. Have to grab the points even though it does look 'too easy'. And nothing is gambling is ever as easy as it looks. 4* Money Maker WESTERN ILLINOIS
12-19-17 | Auburn v. Murray State +4 | 81-77 | Push | 0 | 8 h 29 m | Show
Taking MURRAY STATE. Might even get a little +150 ML on this guy. Love my mid major home puppies vs the power conferences. Auburn will in for a battle tonight. We actually cashed the Tigers last game over Mid Ten State. That was a tough call as my initial lean on the short line was towards the dog. But we went home fave and cashed. Tonight, not a fan of Auburn laying in this spot. Racers always tough at home. That gets ramped up in non-con play vs one of the big boys. While Auburn was in a dog fight vs Mid Tenny, Murray cruised past Marist. This is one of those circle games for the home squad. 4* Money Maker MURRAY STATE
12-19-17 | Wright State v. Missouri State -9 | 50-66 | Win | 100 | 8 h 18 m | Show
Taking MISSOURI STATE. As I have said a couple times, I like this team. I think they should win the MVC. They are off a horrific loss. And yeah, it is horrific. Anytime a 12 point favorite loses outright, that is a terrible loss. So after 8 days off, it is time to get back in the win column. 4* Money Maker MISSOURI STATE
12-19-17 | Akron v. Florida Atlantic -22.5 | Top | 3-50 | Win | 100 | 150 h 0 m | Show |
Taking FLORIDA ATLANTIC. Yeah. I will lay 3+ TDs with Lane. The guy is a kook and a total follow on Twitter trolling old teams and coaches. So we get an extra home game with the Owl. Let's be honest. They can write their own score in. I am expecting at least 50. Lane will love to run it up here. You know he is looking for his next job already. Akron out of the MAC is miserable on defense. This is an average team like what FAU beat up all year in CUSA. Do we forget Akron down 38-0 in the 3rd in MAC Championship Game before Toledo called off the dogs for an unlikely back door cover (45-28)? Owls 9th in scoring just under 40 game. If this was another year, or some other team, I would be worried about motivation. But FAU has won 3 games each of the last 3 years. The home fans will be pumped to come see them roll to a Bowl Win. 8* Sure Shot FAU |
