A nationally televised game tonight features the Timberwolves against the Lakers. On paper both teams have similar struggling records. The main difference ATS is the Timberwolves horrid road record of 0-6. During their current road trip they’ve been blown out by double digits in all. Yet look for a stronger showing tonight from the Timberwolves as they cover the number. 

After playing six of their last eight games at home the Milwaukee Bucks will venture onto the road Tuesday night. Theyll take on a 7-3 Portland Trailblazers team that has built leverage with a strong bench. This has created an interesting ATS conundrum against the strong 8-1 Bucks.  Typically the Trailblazers would have the edge but look for the size and skill set of the Bucks to give the Blazers problems.

The Detroit Pistons and Philadelphia 76ers meet for the second time this season Saturday. The earlier matchup featured a close overtime win for the Detroit Pistons. In that matchup the 76ers were without Ben Simmons. That factor plus the 76ers undefeated home record are variables to side with the underdog Pistons.

The Dallas Mavericks venture to California to take on the Los Angeles Lakers Wednesday. The Lakers continued losing is puzzling as they’ve been in the majority of their games. Now the pressure is on Lebron and his young teammates to get wins. That’s an ATS factor against a winless Mavericks team on the road. Grab Dallas.

Out the gate the Memphis Grizzlies have shown a renewed spirit. Healthy on floor veteran leadership is back with Mike Conley and Marc Gasol, and new veteran additions in Kyle Anderson and Garrett Temple are helping. Opposite tonight are the Washington Wizards whom are concluding a peculiar five game road trip. That’s the value angle as the Wizards will be prepared tonight against the Grizzlies. 

Teams in back to back scenarios Sunday and Monday are noticeably poor ATS. Oddsmakers have caught onto that and rightfully boosted the Spurs tonight. Dallas ranks near the bottom of the NBA yielding over 117 points per game and were just defeated handily on their home floor Sunday night. Yet, this is far too many points on the Spurs side as San Antonio plays their third straight home game and have double-whammy Lebron-inflation. Grab the Mavericks.

A debate amongst the best conference in the NBA is non-negotiable with the high dominance of the Western Conference. Portland’s early success against the Lakers and Spurs have improperly boosted them against Eastern Conference opponents. Although the Trailblazers are getting dynamic bench contributions from a host of players, the Pacers home court edge will prevail. Grab Indiana. 

The number ATS continues to be an issue for a Thunder team that is obviously much better than their 0-4 record. They’ll face a Phoenix Suns team that’s been blown out in three straight games including last night against the Memphis Grizzlies. With extra emphasis on the Thunder needing this win and the Suns in a back to back scenario that’s created value on the Suns.

Line movement has occurred in tonight’s Lakers vs Spurs matchup. Los Angeles has put together consecutive wins with a blowout over the Suns and a great win over the Nuggets. They’ll also get Rajon Rondo back and face a Spurs team that they had on the ropes in LA days ago. Yet look for the Spurs to showcase similar offense that they did in LA and take advantage of the Lakers recent success. Grab the Spurs. 

The Boston Celtics were on the brink of faltering to 2-3 against an ultra hungry OKC team. On the road they rallied and held a winless OKC team to another loss. Now they’ll travel to Detroit to face the undefeated Pistons where value is on the Celtics. Detroit has had a home friendly schedule with all games decided in close fashion. Grab the Celtics to hand the Pistons their first loss. 

The undefeated Bucks venture to the Western conference to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves Friday. An edge for bettors is oddsmakers dismissing the Bucks early season schedule which is common with such a small sample size. The depth of the Bucks is very underrated and will be the edge to clear a small road number to put them at 5-0.

An 0-3 Lakers team ventures to take on a young Phoenix Suns squad Wednesday. As bad as the Lakers start has been their are positives to sidestep their early season record. Even minus two key players the Lakers should have enough of an arsenal to get by a Phoenix Suns team that is coming off consecutive lopsided road losses.  

Injuries have repeated a similar pattern as last season for the Chicago Bulls. Early in the season it’s unaccustomed to see a team have as poor of a schedule as the Hornets. Wednesday marks their fourth straight road game that started in Florida and ventured to Toronto, Canada two days ago. Spotting the Hornets as a road favorite in this spot speaks to oddsmakers faith in the Hornets overcoming their road fatigue. Grab the Hornets. 

The 76ers have officially ruled Ben Simmons out for today’s matchup against the Detroit Pistons. That’s the type of value one is looking for early in the season in the NBA. Detroit’s 2-0 record have featured close tight games. A narrow three point victory over Brooklyn as well as a two point victory over Chicago. Look for the 76ers cohesiveness to pay dividends as they land the early season road victory. 

The new look Spurs were able to hang on at home against the Timberwolves to start the season. Now they’ll travel to take on a Blazers team that looked superb to open up the season against the Lakers. The depth and home court edge for the Trailblazers figures to give the Spurs problems. Yet look for the Spurs to be able to answer the Trailblazers runs and cover the number. 

The well documented struggles of the Warriors in Utah are long standing. They fall into the category of many teams that struggle with rotations in the altitude of Salt Lake City. Early in the season this figures to be a problem as the starters aren’t going to play a high volume of minutes and the bench rotation is the weakest it’s been in years for Golden State. With Utah’s vast depth there will be issues of the Warriors playing from behind. Yet this team knows how to close and I wouldn’t be surprised of a big second half run that closes the door on the Jazz. Grab Golden State. 

The New York Knicks lit up the scoreboard in their opener over the Atlanta Hawks. The blended roles of youth shined and now they’ll get the fortune of playing their second home game right up the street in Brooklyn. That’s where the value lies as the short trek to Brooklyn in New York City is an attractor on a small line. This early in the season it’s enough of an indicator to take the proper value on the Nets. Grab Brooklyn.

The Lakers moves for improvement went beyond Lebron James. They added several key veterans in Michael Beasley, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, and Rajon Rondo. These additions are expected to mesh well with the Lakers young talent and their fast pace style. Yet Portland is a stout home team that will have extra motivation. They had a quick exit in last year’s playoffs in which they lost four straight to the Pelicans, but they’ll also be playing for recently passed owner Paul Allen. Grab the value on Portland to spoil Lebron’s first game in LA.

Zack sees value on the Magic for his second release of the NBA season. The Heat figure to be a top threat in the Eastern Conference but come into the regular season with injuries to several key players. Dion Waiters, Justice Winslow, James Johnson, and Wayne Ellington are all likely out. This is where their success last season with injuries creates value against them Wednesday. The Magic were the second worst Eastern Conference team last year and an in-state game figures to give the Heat the upper hand. Instead look for the Magic to show proper cohesion and get the cover on the small line. 

The Boston Celtics had one of the more impressive runs based on injuries in postseason memory last year. Now they must find a way to blend in Irving/Hayword and blend in everyone else’s roles. These chemistry issues were on full display as the Celtics struggled in pre-season. This is a factor in Tuesday’s small line against the experienced and hungry 76ers team that has revenge on their minds. Yet look for the Celtics to combat the 76ers and show they are the team to beat in the East. 

The Lakers showed last year that they take the summer league as serious as any team. They played key young talent and both rookies in Lonzo Ball/Kyle Kuzma extended minutes. The same has been showcased this year along with key young talent in Josh Hart and Alex Caruso. Still, look for the Bulls to limit the offensive explosion the Lakers showed in their debut Friday. A day off of rest and a new arena could be troublesome for the Memphis Grizzlies summer league team. They’ve made the trek down from Salt Lake City as they take on a Detroit team that will be looking to bounce back from a loss yesterday. Summer league play usually has teams switch the look of their rosters as days go on. This should bode to the advantage of the Pistons getting a steep plus four Saturday.

Summer league continues Saturday as the Brooklyn Nets take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Nets fell short on Friday as their roster was not indicative of whom they played on the floor. The big name NBA roster players are not playing which has created value against the Thunder whom lost by a point Friday. Terrance Ferguson is one of the big names that generated solid minutes with the Thunder and creates this value opportunity.

Summer league continues Saturday as the New York Knicks will host Trae Young’s Hawks. Anyone whom watched the Hawks saw Young’s struggles as his team looked out of sync. Young couldn’t buy a basket and will now face tougher defense in a bigger tournament in Las Vegas. Yet look for the Hawks to finally display a team effort as they get the cover Saturday. 

Summer league provides opportunities of value based on makeshift short term teams. Value today lies with the fact that the Denver Nuggets first round pick in Michael Porter Jr. won’t be playing throughout the summer league. This comes via a team that traded away some of their younger assets in Emmanuel Mudiay and others. Grab the value on them as slight underdogs. 

Finding value in the summer league can get tighter as days go on. The reason being is more dynamic players begin to rest and some wrap up contracts to play overseas. Yet the new Sacramento/Salt Lake schedule brings high value. One today lies with the Memphis Grizzlies as they take on the host Utah Jazz.  Both teams are coming off day one dynamite victories but look for the Grizzlies to continue to shine offensively. On paper the Celtics seemingly are under manned. Yet the results beg to differ as the Celtics immense depth has flourished with their youth. They’re under valued home court has dominated ATS in the playoffs with a 5-0 mark. Yet the level of offensive efficiency witnessed in game one is not a familiar scene for the Celtics. Expect the 76ers high talent to adjust appropriately. Grab Philadelphia.

Key returning stars are always hard to re-implement in the playoffs. Steph Curry’s return surely will take away minutes from bench contributors as well as shots from the first-unit. The Pelicans have gelled with their post DeMarcus Cousins roster where nearly every player knows their role. Curry’s return combined with the Warriors game one dominance has created value on the Pelicans for Tuesday.

The Thunder and Jazz series is showing what we’ve become accustomed to with superstar player led teams. A more balanced Jazz team has the arsenal and schemes to outdo the Oklahoma City Thunder. While Carmelo’s downgraded play has been the majority of the season it’s Russ and Paul George’s play that’s more troubling. Both have been held in check for stretches in this series. At home in a potential season ending game value lies on the Jazz.

Recognition of line movement in a playoff series is crucial. After a dominating game three win by the Jazz, oddsmakers curiously lowered the game four spread. It’s noteworthy and centered around the improbability of the Thunder winning the series if they sustain another loss. Expect the Thunder to be much more prepared for game four even as Billy Donovan tinkers with rotation minutes. Grab the Thunder.

Instances of chaos this season amongst the Washington Wizards players were well documented. Yet the fact of the matter is the Wizards missed Wall for key games that derailed their true seed. Games three performance seemed to give the Wizards the jolt they need. While they may not have the same dominating output look for a cash out plus the points.

At the start of the NBA playoffs few teams have shown carry over value from the regular season. One team that has are the Western Conference top-seeded Houston Rockets. Houston destroyed the number and the Timberwolves in game two as the Timberwolves could not contain Houston. Yet, today is a value spot with yet another home team. As great as the Rockets have been against the Timberwolves this is a heightened line. Grab the underdog.  

The Pelicans have now won seven straight games as they defeated Portland in games one and two on the road. Thursday’s game will put to the test both teams as it’s a quick transition of just a couple of days rest. With the Pelicans struggles in second halves this may open the door for another close finish. Yet, look for the Pelicans to continue to get just enough from role players to go along with AD and Holiday. Grab the Pelicans to secure their eighth straight win and small line cover. 

The hindered Celtics looked like the flip-seed of the Bucks in game one. Yet, they had just enough in the tank to withstand the Bucks. While the depth and skillset advantage continues to lie with the Bucks the Celtics continue to have the upper hand in coaching. Knocking two points off game one’s point spread has withered away underdog value and posed proper value on the Celtics. Grab Boston.

Utah’s run post All-Star break was truly a spectacle to watch. They went from a team at 21-28 to a post-season team in the elite Western conference. From an oddsmaker stand point today’s line has more to do with Utah’s rise and layoff. Both the Jazz and Thunder have had four full days to rest after the regular season conclusion Wednesday. It’ll be a tight game but expect the Thunder to beat the number by a mere few points.  

The Pelicans enter the playoffs as the overlooked one-man show team. In this ERA of the NBA it’s almost unheard of seeing a team reach the heights the Pelicans have with one star. Portland’s home dominance and spurts will be a dangerous combination for a Pelicans team susceptible defensively. Still the Trailblazers looked out of sync as the NBA season wound down as they lost four straight games before a win over Utah. Grab the Pelicans to come out the gate in this series and cover.

Pelicans -3.5

Tonight the Pelicans will aim to keep their playoff intensity level secure as they take on the San Antonio Spurs. Having won four games in a row put the Pelicans in the playoffs without a worry in Wednesday’s regular season conclusion. Still, look for old school coach Alvin Gentry to continue to demand a solid output as the Pelicans aim for five wins a row. Grab the Pelicans.

The Celtics blow on losing point guard Kyrie Irving for the remainder of the season is official news. Friday will be the first game that we see how the team handles the situation. Key starters in Al Horford and Jayson Tatum also won’t be playing Friday against the Bulls. That’s created drop down value on the Celtics as the Bulls have shown no signs of tanking with three straight victories. Grab the Celtics.

The Dallas Mavericks travel to face the Orlando Magic Wednesday. This is an interesting spot as the Mavericks are coming off a home win last night against Portland that concluded at 8PM PST. Travel for tonight’s game is further impacted as the Mavericks have decided to sit Dirk Nowitzki, Harrison Barnes, Dwight Powell, and Dennis Smith Jr. Still look for the Magic to showcase a bit of rust as well after a blowout win last night at Madison Square Garden. 

One of the biggest mystiques in the NBA has been the sporadic level of play of the Washington Wizards. This year they received a pass due to John Wall’s health. Now back the Wizards are devalued against the NBA’s ATS juggernaut in the Houston Rockets. In their last two games Houston has not been sharp with a narrow win against the Suns and a blowout loss to the Spurs. Look for the spread to be a factor once again and not on Houston’s side. The assumption that Lebron can get his team to hit another gear at the tail end of the season is a fact. He’s led his Cavs/Heat teams to the title game in countless consecutive years. With just a handful of games left in the regular season this is where you’d expect a playoff intensity performance from the Cavs. Yet, the Cavs are no where near the level of play seen in recent Lebron post-season runs. With a league-wide day off Monday value has been created on the Raptors. Grab Toronto. 

With virtually identical records the Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves will square off Sunday. Where the ATS implications from oddsmakers circle around the log jam of five teams from the 4th-8th position separated by one game. The Timberwolves stout home record is voided here as the Jazz have been one of the hottest teams in the league. Grab the oddsmakers hint and play on the Jazz.  

For the first time on their road trip the Indiana Pacers will face a team that is near full strength in the LA Clippers. LA does not have a starter below 6’5 now that Danilo Gallinari is back. Yet the Pacers should be able to shake off their rusty performance against the Kings and get a hard small number cover in LA. Grab Indiana. 

Phoenix +10

A home dog of double digits is an eye opener but not with the Phoenix Suns. They continue to rest or sit out key starters while signing-starting D-League talent. It’s a scenario oddsmakers have caught onto ATS in spots. Tonight is one of those spots as the Clippers have held well ATS recently. Grab the reverse tank value line here on Phoenix.

Minus Kyrie Irving the Celtics have relied on their young roster. That has resulted in  four straight wins and three consecutive on the road. Heading to Salt Lake City will be a stiffer test as the Jazz have won 24 of their last 29 games. Still in a nationally televised game look for the Celtics to continue their surprise road efforts. For Tuesday, will take the value on the Denver Nuggets in consecutive road games. This comes in a spot that after last night’s blowout loss to the 76ers. This also marks the sixth straight road game for the Nuggets. Toronto’s standout home record has been in reverse with two home losses in their last three. While Toronto likely will maintain a double-digit lead early look for Denver for to finish on the proper side ATS. Grab Denver.  

A winning streak is always going to catapult an ATS edge. The Spurs come into Sunday’s road matchup with a six-game win streak. The wins have been over quality teams such as the Pelicans, Timberwolves, Warriors, Wizards, and Jazz. Yet Saturday’s line move against the Bucks has more to do with the status of Giannis Antetokounmpo. Just hours before game time the line has continued to move north on the Spurs, hinting at Giannis resting another game. Either way, expect the Bucks to hold court at an irregular Sunday start time. 

Yesterday the Suns lost in blowout fashion on the road in Cleveland, and now travel to Orlando tonight. Phoenix has just one lone victory in their last twenty-one games and that came against tank-friendly Memphis. In a back to back scenario and both teams in tank-mode this is an opportunity to cash in on the underdog Suns. 

After a two-game home stand the Miami Heat head back on the road to face Oklahoma City. The Heat have been sporadic on the road which was showcased in their most recent road trip. Yet, they’re coming off two dominant home wins in which they showcased an average of 134 points. Meanwhile Oklahoma City is coming off a sloppy road loss to Boston. Look for OKC to showcase the tired legs returning home. Grab Miami. 

Aside from two home games the Detroit Pistons have spent March on the road. In fact, dating back to February 25th they’ve played ten of thirteen games on the road. Tonight’s matchup in Houston marks their seventh consecutive road game. While Houston has been an ATS juggernaut this is a spot that screams value on Detroit. Grab the Pistons.

The Rockets aim for a four-game series sweep over the Minnesota Timberwolves. All of which have been blowout victories by the margin of eighteen points. With the Timberwolves in a back to back spot and oddsmakers had no choice but to inflate this line. Grab the Timberwolves who have the depth to play in an up and down affair with the Rockets. 

There are typically chase teams in the NBA that bettors can’t get off of. Detroit started the season with an impressive home record with favorable lines. The addition of Blake Griffin has not done much to boost their performance. With a close overtime loss to the Raptors tonight’s game against the down trodden Bulls screams chase. Eight points is far too high. Grab the Bulls.

The San Antonio Spurs record may be ten games above .500 but they’ve been poor as of late. Overall they’ve lost eight of eleven games, including a seventeen-point loss at Golden State. Yet a low-point ATS has occurred for the Spurs as they struggled as double-digit favorites at home to defeat the Grizzlies by two points. Golden State keeps surging with big leads but leaves the door open far too much. Grab San Antonio. 

The Utah Jazz come into Saturday in a back to back scenario against the Sacramento Kings. This is a rematch of mid-January when the Jazz easily handled the Kings as -4 favorites on the road. This was while the Jazz had Rodney Hood, Joe Johnson, and George Hill still. An increased line with the element of consecutive games speaks to the oddsmakers faith in the Jazz. Grab Utah.

Pace and tempo have been a huge problem for the Grizzlies all season, which is why oddsmakers have them as an eight point underdog Friday. Winless in the month of February the Grizzlies are sinking to new lows on teams tanking, and are now tied for the worst record. With Denver currently in the eighth seed they can ill afford to look past an opponent regardless of their personnel on the floor. Grab Denver. 

In a back to back scenario the Bulls travel to Charlotte. Post All-Star break the Bulls have lost four straight games. Yet, they’re 2-0 thus far on the year against the Hornets. Still, the Bulls lack of energy on the defensive end of floor is worrisome in a back to back spot. Look for the veteran players of the Hornets to not take this matchup lightly. Grab Charlotte.

The Celtics and Grizzlies will meet for the second time this season on Monday. Earlier this year the Celtics took care of business in Memphis. In that game both teams played in back to back scenarios, with the Grizzlies fading late to lose ATS. Nine straight losses by the Grizzlies have compounded this line far too high. Grab the value on the Grizzlies Monday. 

Post All-Star break teams far below .500 are expected to retreat further in tank mode. The Orlando Magic at 18-39 went into the break with three straight losses, but managed to cover all three. Meanwhile the Knicks have lost eight straight games. While this may seem like the perfect spot to stop the bleeding, grab the under valued Magic to continue the Knicks free fall.

Through the first half of the NBA season one of the top five teams oddsmakers have had a tough time with are the Indiana Pacers. Wednesday figures to be another hurdle as the Pacers travel to Brooklyn. Mentally the Pacers benefitted from a postponed game against the Pelicans last week. It led to consecutive victories over the Celtics and Knicks in sharp performances. Wednesday may not be a tricky spot in terms of a win for the Pacers but look for the small line to be a factor as the Nets keep it close. 

An abnormal point spread typically does not go hand in hand with two teams far below .500. Yet that’s the case tonight as the Dallas Mavericks are sizable home favorites against the Kings. Sacramento has not looked the same since trading away two non-rotation players in Malachi Richardson and George Hill. Off their close loss to the Timberwolves many may look for the underdog value. Instead back the Mavericks.

Sunday, Atlanta came from behind to fend off the Detroit Pistons. Tuesday, they’ll face the Milwaukee Bucks for the second time this season. Their first matchup came on October 29th in which the Bucks were a similar range of favorites of six points. The 1.5 difference is one to ponder as oddsmakers have boosted the Hawks play. With All Star break looming look for the home team to be the one looking ahead to their eight day break. Grab the Hawks.

Friday, the Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Miami Heat as Dwayne Wade made his debut return. Saturday, they’ll play in back to back nights as they travel up north to Orlando. That is a value booster for the Bucks Saturday, but the biggest is Orlando’s great play as of late. The Magic have won three in a row and four of five games. Look for that mini turn around to end Saturday. Grab Milwaukee.

High value lies with the LA Clippers Friday as they travel to take on the Detroit Pistons. Two obvious angles of value are facing their former teammate in Blake Griffin. Griffin with his new team in the Pistons have won four consecutive games. In fact, Friday marks the Pistons sixth straight home game. Grab the Clippers to perform sharp against their former teammate and pull off the cover.  

Portland returns home from an East coast road trip with a game Thursday against the Hornets. Portland’s last outing two nights ago featured a blowout loss to the Pistons. They looked as tired as any team this season capping off a road trip and it appears bookmakers have taken notice. The Hornets traveled a shorter distance as they played in Denver Monday. Still, look for Portland to take care of business. Grab the Trailblazers.

Two teams with similar records square off Tuesday as the Memphis Grizzlies travel to the Atlanta Hawks. The Grizzlies have lost five of six games and appear to be a team that may be active before the trade deadline. Their 5-19 record in away games is the biggest non attractor from an ATS stand point. Value lies with the Grizzlies with the Hawks returning home off a competitive loss to the Celtics and win in New York.

Typically revenge spots are automatically inflated ATS. Add a Warriors dimension and that boosts it even further. Friday the Golden State Warriors take the short trip to other side of Northern California to play against the Kings. Off a twenty point loss to the Jazz the Warriors should be in an aggressive mode. They also lost to the Kings on November 27th on their home floor short handed without Kevin Durant and Steph Curry. Grab the high value Friday on the double-whammy angle.

The Nets ended a four game losing streak by defeating the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. Friday they’ll host a Lakers team that has had consecutive woeful performances on their east coast road trip. The issue has been defensively as they’ve surrendered over 120 points in each of those losses. Look for Brooklyn to take advantage and cash against the Lakers. 

An aggressive line lies Thursday with the Detroit Pistons as Blake Griffin makes his debut in a Grizzlies uniform. Typically trades of star magnitude are over inflated by oddsmakers which is the case here. Yet, a team such as Detroit is harder for oddsmakers to pinpoint as they have not had a superstar in years. Look for Griffin’s teammates to feel the energy of the trade and for Coach Van Gundy to want to reap the rewards for the fans in game one. Grab Detroit.

The Knicks handily defeated the Brooklyn Nets last night and now will head to Boston Wednesday evening. On Monday, Boston ended their losing streak with a narrow 111-110 victory over the Denver Nuggets. In a lower number than anticipated for a team in a back to back scenario oddsmakers are expecting a rusty Celtics team. Yet, even though they’re travel back from Denver will create rust expect the Celtics to push through in the fourth quarter. Grab Boston.

The Lakers travel to Toronto on Sunday as they continue to extend their east coast road trip. Toronto is coming off a lackluster home loss against the Jazz in which they surrendered a late lead. With their strong home court edge over the last several years a bounce back spot seems in order against the Lakers. Instead grab Los Angeles whose youth is finally starting to mesh minus the assists of injured point guard Lonzo Ball. 

The Timberwolves travel to Portland with two key players out. Jimmy Butler and Jamal Crawford both will sit out with injuries. That factored with a late night west coast game has put oddsmakers in the spot to make Portland favorites. A boost of confidence for Trailblazers point guard Damian Lillard is that he is an All-Star reserve. Yet, expect the Timberwolves to rise to the occasion and benefit off the Blazers poor shot selections. Grab the Timberwolves. 

Denver -3

The struggling Denver Nuggets have dropped consecutive games to dip to .500. Their struggles have caught the attention of oddsmakers as typically they’re inflated due to their home court edge. Portland on the other hand is healthy and has won three straight games. Yet even with the Nuggets tinkering with their starting lineup grab Denver to handle the Trailblazers. Take Denver. 

The Philadelphia 76ers will travel to Boston and face the Celtics for the second time in a week. Last week’s 114-103 Boston win was played in London and was a tale of two halves. Leading by nine at halftime the 76ers fell apart with poor offense and defense in the third quarter. Expect a better performance tonight as they withstand the Celtics home crowd. Grab the 76ers.

Friday the Phoenix Suns were one of the more popular underdog consensus plays as they hosted the Rockets. A rare stretch of five days rest was the angle bettors chased but the Suns were blown out by 17. Now they’ll step onto the court less than 48 hours later against a Pacers team that defeated the Cavaliers in a miraculous comeback Friday. That’s created value on the Suns as Indiana is inflated off that victory. Grab the Suns. 

The return of Zach Lavigne for the Bulls is not one to consider from a value stand point. Lavine has been away due to injury for a year and is also stepping onto the court with a new team as opposed to his familiar prior setting with the Timberwolves. The thunder of the Bulls former torrid stretch of having won ten of twelve games has dissipated as they’ve dropped five of seven. Detroit has the depth and size to offset a young Bulls team. Still, look for the back end of a Detroit three-game road trip to keep the Bulls in position to win. Grab the Bulls.

Friday the Bucks will host the Warriors in a key interconference matchup. On the injury report for the Warriors is Steph Curry who is listed as doubtful with a sprained ankle. Yet the Warriors have already dealt with playing without Curry prior this season and boast a 17-3 away record. Of their nine losses this year none have come consecutively. That’s where the value lies here as bettors chase the number on the Warriors team strength of the past four seasons. Grab the home Milwaukee Bucks.

Once again the Pelicans will be minus star athlete Anthony Davis. Traveling on the road against Memphis will be a challenge as the Grizzlies still are capable of solid half-court defense. Yet offensively they’ll keep the Pelicans within striking distance with their inopportune offensive lulls. Value here is based on the fact that of the Grizzlies last twelve games four opponents they faced multiple times. That led to tighter games based on familiarity similar to an MLB home-away series. Grab the value on the Pelicans.

In a back to back scenario the Dallas Mavericks will travel to Charlotte. This is a skewed line as Charlotte returns home from a lengthy west coast trip. During the trip the Hornets defeated the Warriors and also blew out their last two opponents. That figures to translate at home against a tired team far below .500. Yet look for the Mavericks to fight in this one and cover a skewed line.

The depleted Clippers were further hit with the injury bug as they’re now minus Blake Griffin and Austin Rivers. That’s created ATS value tonight against an Atlanta Hawks team that were blown out by 19 points against the Lakers and by 21 in Portland. Grab the Clippers to get it done with a core of non original starters as they sweep the Hawks.

The Suns thin roster will likely be without more players Sunday as TJ Warren and Isaiah Canaan are likely to miss today’s game against Oklahoma City. For the Thunder they’ve become a stronger group on their current road trip with blowout wins over the Lakers and Clippers. The catalyst has been rookie Terrance Ferguson whom has given the Thunder an athletic spark of youth. Phoenix’s poor home record of just 7-14 adds to their value. Grab the Suns to put up points and cover the big number.

Saturday, we’ll grab the value on Brooklyn as home underdogs against the Celtics. Boston is coming off a nationally televised blowout win as Kyrie got the upper hand over Lebron and the Cavaliers. Yet the Nets have won consecutive home games and have played two close games against the Celtics. One resulted in a seven point loss and there most recent matchup on New Year’s Eve was by three points. Grab the Nets to keep this close again.

In two of the Jazz last three home games they’ve defeated the Spurs and Cavaliers. Still they’re a team struggling with camaraderie amongst their starting five with a record of 16-21. Meanwhile the Pelicans have dropped consecutive home games against the Knicks and Mavericks. Yet, their starting five has been extremely productive and has to much fire power for the Jazz in a road spot. Grab the Pelicans.

Zack will grab the value on the Lakers traveling to Minnesota tonight. There are a couple of quality angles in this game, with both teams in back to back scenarios. For one the Timberwolves handily defeated the Lakers on Christmas Day. Secondly, the Lakers lost in overtime in a high scoring affair last night against the Rockets. They’re lacking depth but expect them to showcase their youth and hang tighter than expected. Grab the Lakers. 

Two teams with subpar records meet today as the Magic travel to Brooklyn. Orlando has lacked the cohesiveness shown last season. For one Jonathan Simmons is adjusting as a starter and their bench has far less fire power. That’s an issue against a Nets team that’s depth is challenging even for veteran teams. Yet, expect Orlando to capitalize off of the Nets turnovers and poor defense. Grab the Magic.

After six straight wins the OKC Thunder lost in a controversial finish against the Milwaukee Bucks. Sunday, they’ll face a Mavericks team that has won three straight games. Yet they’re just 12-25 and on the third game of their road trip. This has created value as bettors seek to back OKC to get back in the win column. Grab Dallas.

Off of just one day of rest Portland will attempt to travel to face an Atlanta team that’s coming off a road game in Toronto. It’s one of the more peculiar travel assessments to break down. Yet, I see value with the two angles of the Hawks playing 24 hours ago and their poor overall record. Grab the value on the Hawks.

Cleveland will look to get revenge based on last year’s NBA Finals 4-1 result. Minus Steph Curry the Warriors will be relying on more youth than in prior matchups. Cleveland has solidified their veteran depth with new acquisitions. Look for the Cavs to showcase their growth. This is a rare spot where the Warriors are slight home favorites. Take advantage with a play on the Cavaliers. 

The Brooklyn Nets travel to take on Indiana after a home win last night against the Wizards. Six days ago the Pacers crushed the Nets in Brooklyn by twelve points. That has created value on the Nets tonight as oddsmakers were forced inflate the number of 3.5-4 of last week. Grab the Nets.

No team is hotter ATS than the Chicago Bulls. Bringing Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic off the bench has reinvigorated not only the second unit but the starters as well. Six straight wins has led to a complete 360 from oddsmakers from a point spread perspective. Meanwhile the Orlando Magic have lost five straight games and will be without two key starters Wednesday. Pick this spot as a good opportunity to jump in against the Bulls. Grab the Magic. 

After playing in matchups last night the Boston Celtics and Memphis Grizzlies will take on each other in Memphis tonight. The Celtics have now lost three of their last five games as offensively they’ve taken a step backwards. The value here lies with the Grizzlies inability to cover in a a close win Friday night. The victory was against a Hawks team in a back to back scenario as well. Yet, look for the Grizzlies to carry over the win to an ATS advantage.

Memphis woes are hard to ignore. They played poor in a road effort against the Wizards which extended their losing streak to sixteen of their last seventeen games. Yet suddenly they’re steep favorites at home against the Hawks Friday. Although this is a short road trip for Atlanta, look for the Grizzlies to let off some prolonged frustration of losing. Grab the Grizzlies tonight.

Injuries continue to mount for the Clippers to an unfathomable level. Tonight they’ll be minus several key starters against a Wizards team that is fresh with John Wall back in the lineup. After losing to the Clippers on the road just three games ago this would seem like an easy revenge spot. Yet LA’s players and current lineup is use to filling in for spot start duty. Grab them to play another competitive game against the Wizards. 

Tonight John Wall makes his return from injury at an appropriate time. The Wizards were not been getting the same level of contributions from Kelly Oubre Jr. and Otto Porter Jr. that were vital with Wall healthy. Memphis on the other hand has been abysmal with a roster of talent that has not blended together. Three losses in a row has created value on the road tonight in Washington. Grab Memphis.

LA Lakers +3

Consecutive road wins for the Lakers have placed a tough spread for Tuesday. The Knicks return home where they boast a 12-5 record. After an ugly loss to the Bulls the Knicks bounced back with a home win against the Hawks. Yet the young Lakers seem to be playing better away from home and growing as a team. Look for Luke Walton to continue his proper rotations and have the advantage over the Knicks. Grab the Lakers.

To become a true contender in the West the Utah Jazz must find away to win on the road. Thus far on the year they’re just 2-8 away from home. Saturday, they’ll hope to end a two-game losing streak as they travel to Milwaukee. Having won five of six the Bucks are starting to find their balance on both ends of the floor. Still, one has to rank the level of play in the Western conference appropriately. Grab the hidden value here on the Utah Jazz who would be favored if not for a poor road record.

Denver Nuggets +5

We’ll grab value on the Denver Nuggets as road dogs against the Pelicans. As a road team the Nuggets are just 3-8 overall. This includes a poor loss in their latest game against the Dallas Mavericks. In the outing the Nuggets trailed by double-digits for the majority of the game. Minus Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic the Nuggets are missing a size/scoring combo that’s detracted their ATS value. Yet, look for the Pelicans to have a hangover performance after letting an opportunity to beat the Warriors slip away. Grab the Nuggets here. 

The Spurs find themselves as an underdog on the road against OKC. OKC has won five straight home games and will look to avenge a road loss to the Spurs. This is where the point spread has swayed to value on the Spurs. San Antonio is just 5-5 on the road while the Thunder have been stout at home at 7-3. Still, the Thunder are below .500 because of inconsistencies with their core team development. Grab the Spurs to cover here. 

The Milwaukee Bucks return home after a successful west coast road trip. During their trip they defeated the Sacramento Kings as sizable road favorites to the tune of 112-87. With the Kings having played in Chicago last night that has further elevated the point spread for tonight. Grab the value here on the Kings.

Sometimes teams can realize their depth advantage when injuries occur. The Jazz have discovered that. Minus several key starters including Rudy Gobert and Rodney Hood the Jazz have found offensive balance. After a key pull away victory last night in LA there is doubt that the lineup can hold up in a back to back situation. Instead look for the Pelicans to be the team looking ahead to their back to back scenario Saturday. Grab the Jazz to take advantage of their home court in the second half. 

The Raptors saw their four game winning streak come to a halt their last game against the Knicks. It was the first road game of their current trip that witnessed the Raptors melt away a double digit lead. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I believe Indiana is one of the early season teams that’s ATS value is higher than it should be. Youth has helped the Pacers early on, but look for teams to adjust their game plans now that their core is known. Grab the Raptors today.
