USC v. Stanford -5.5 | | 3-17 |
Win | 100 | 27 h 30 m | Show |
This game comes down to Stanford simply having to much experience for the young USC offense. We expect both teams to be able to score but Stanford has a nice home field edge and will find a way to get it done. USC will make some mistakes and Stanford will play smart and disciplined proving, yet again, they are the class of the PAC 12. Look for QB KJ Costello to have a big game after USC sells out to stop the feared Stanford rushing attack. PICK: Stanford -5.5 |
09-08-18 |
Dodgers v. Rockies UNDER 10 | | 2-4 |
Win | 100 | 9 h 41 m | Show |
For the second day in a row we're getting a high total at Coors field even though the pitching matchup doesn't dictate it. Kyle Feeland has been fantastic for months and pitches great at home. Walker Buehler has posted impressive numbers this season with a 2.92 ERA and a whip of only 1.02. Take the UNDER 10. |
09-08-18 |
Kentucky v. Florida -13.5 | | 27-16 |
Loss | -105 | 25 h 17 m | Show |
Florida finally looks to be competent again and that spells trouble for the underwhelming Wildcats. Coach Dan Mullen looks to have the offense soaring again with Felipe Franks looking like a stud QB. This is a breath of fresh air for Gators backers that have been forced to watch a horrible offense as of late. Kentucky will rely on two talented running backs but Florida has the size and talent to shut them down. I expect Florida to win by 20+ at home. PICK: Florida -13.5 |
09-08-18 |
Virginia v. Indiana UNDER 51 | | 16-20 |
Win | 100 | 25 h 14 m | Show |
Last year this game landed exactly on 51 total points with Indiana winning 34-17. The teams are different though and this should be a run heavy game. While the Hoosiers haven't been great stopping the run, I think they are up to the task tomorrow. Indiana is currently rotating QBs but with a step up in competition they will also be relying on the run more than last week. Overall this looks to be a close game and not a shootout. PICK: UNDER 51 |
09-08-18 |
Wyoming v. Missouri -19.5 | | 13-40 |
Win | 100 | 25 h 42 m | Show |
Wyoming is terrible without really any standouts on offense or defense to speak of. This is simply a rotten situation when they travel to Missouri. If Wyoming has a glaring weakness ( among all their weaknesses) it is their pass defense which doesn't bode well facing a Tigers team that can really sling it around. On the other side of the ball, Wyoming likes to run the ball and Missouri is pretty solid at stifling the run. Look for this to get ugly early! PICK: Missouri -19.5 |
09-08-18 |
Astros v. Red Sox -115 | | 5-3 |
Loss | -115 | 5 h 39 m | Show |
The Red Sox have the best record in baseball and are almost certain to finish with home field advantage in October. To win the pennant they know they have to prove they can beat either Cleveland or Houston in the ALCS, the two teams who've knocked them out them of the last 2 playoffs. That's why this game is huge after they blew an early lead Friday Night in a 6-3 loss to Houston. The Red Sox don't want to put themselves in the position to get swept Friday Night. In his first start since returning from DL on September 1st Eduardo Rodriguez picked up right where he left off pitching 5 2/3 innings of one run ball. The Astros Charlie Morton has struggled of late and he also has control issues at times. Morton has 61 walks on the season, among the leaders in baseball. The Red Sox will be patient with Morton, get base runners on and score some runs on Saturday. With a strong outing from Rodriguez they will even up the series. Take The Red Sox Money Line. |
09-08-18 |
Duke v. Northwestern -2.5 | | 21-7 |
Loss | -115 | 18 h 45 m | Show |
This is one of those spots where the better team is out for revenge. Last year Duke smoked Northwestern and since then Northwestern has been on a roll. The Wildcats have a very strong running game behind a solid offensive line and they should control the line of scrimmage. Duke is no pushover but under 3 points is simply too good to pass on for the better, home team. PICK: Northwestern -2.5 |
09-07-18 |
TCU v. SMU +23 | | 42-12 |
Loss | -102 | 7 h 48 m | Show |
You can't read too much into week 1 of a college football season. TCU waxed Southern 55-7 at home last week resting its starters after halftime, but Southern is an FCS school that was outmanned at every position playing on the road. The Horned Frogs still have question marks on the offensive side of the ball. Sophomore QB Shawn Robinson didn't have to do too much last week but will have a tougher challenge on the road especially with TCU's 4 new starters on the offensive line. SMU played like garbage last week losing 46-23 at North Texas. But the Mean Green is a very good team that isn't too far outside the Top 25 and opening against them on the road was not ideal for the Mustangs. SMU does have some weapons on offense. Junior QB Ben Hicks has started every game the last 2 seasons and threw 33 TD's to only 12 picks last season. He's breaking in a couple new receivers but I expect him to play much better in this one at home especially if the running game gets going which I think it will. SMU is below average in the secondary as North Texas proved but I don't think TCU has the passing attack this early in the season to exploit it. TCU wants to run the ball and won't stray from that plan because of the North Texas game. TCU is the better team in this one and will win the game outright but I think they will be looking ahead to their game against Ohio State next week a little and make enough mistakes to keep SMU in it long enough to score the cover. Take SMU +23. |
09-07-18 |
Dodgers v. Rockies UNDER 9.5 | | 4-2 |
Win | 100 | 9 h 36 m | Show |
After an awful start to the season followed by two stints on the DL Clayton Kershaw is back to the top of the rotation ace the Dodgers need if they want to outlast Colorado and Arizona in the West. Kershaw still gives up home runs like he did twice in his last start to Arizona. But the Dodgers won that game 3-2 because he didn't walk anyone, both of those were solo shots and he gave up only 4 hits over 7 innings. John Gray has pitched very well for the better part of 3 months now. He's won 7 of his last 9 decisions and the Rockies have won 10 of the last 11 games he's started. Gray like Kershaw doesn't walk too many people and if he gives up home runs they're usually solo shots. In this important game one of an important weekend series I like these two pitchers to keep the bats in check and make this a low scoring, tight game at Coors Field. Take The UNDER 9.5 runs. |
09-06-18 |
Falcons v. Eagles UNDER 45 | | 12-18 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 12 m | Show |
The defending super bowl champs meet the Falcons in an opening night playoff rematch. Despite two high flying offenses, we expect this game to stay fairly low scoring. 45 seems a stretch for this opener but makes sense as the public's last look at the Eagles saw them racking up yards and points. The Eagles will turn to Foles, who had a less than stellar preseason/camp and is without Alshon Jeffery. They should look to establish the run and will likely play a slower pace than later in the year. Atlanta will have their hands full on the road and that Eagles defensive line will be enough to keep them in check. PICK: UNDER 45 |

Miami-FL v. LSU UNDER 47 | | 17-33 |
Loss | -109 | 13 h 2 m | Show |
LSU was never considered an offensive juggernaut even with All-Pro NFL players Odell Beckham Jr and Leonard Fournette. This year they don't even have Derrius Guice. What they do have is an Ohio State backup transfer QB (Joe Burrows) Along with an offensive line that won't scare anyone and a complete lack of skill players. The 2017 Hurricanes defense was so good against the terrible ACC that we had to endure the words "Turnover Chain" for way too long. What that defense really did was mask the fact the QB Malik Rosier was not very good. If that wasn't evident in his awful play during the Hurricanes 3 losses to end the 2017 season, it was slammed home when coach Mark Richt made him compete for the starting job during preseason practice. The outlook isn't better for Rozier this season as his top weapons and experienced offensive lineman from 2017 are gone. That being said, these two teams are playing a standalone game on Sunday Night in week 1 and are both ranked for a reason. That reason is defense. These two defensive lines should dominate the line of the scrimmage in this game. Miami may have the best linebacking corps in the country and both secondaries are strong. Both QB's will struggle in this one. TAKE THE UNDER |

Cincinnati v. UCLA -16.5 | | 26-17 |
Loss | -110 | 725 h 58 m | Show |
If you think Chip Kelly forgot how to coach because of his underwhelming stint in the NFL you'd be mistaken. Like Nick Saban before him, Kelly is more suited to coach in college where he has complete control and the players will do what is asked without question. Josh Rosen may be gone but the Bruins still have the kind of talent that could be a powerhouse in the Pac 12 with a coach like Kelly. Cincinnati was awful last season in a weak conference and the main culprit was the defense. The Bearcats gave up over 30 points a game and allowed almost 200 yards rushing. They may be even worse this season as this unit is more inexperienced. If you know anything about Chip Kelly's offense you'd know even though it's fast-paced he likes to run the ball down the other team's throat especially when he has the talent edge up front. That's not good news for Cincinnati. It will take some time for Chip to make UCLA playoff contenders but they will cruise to an easy win at home against the Bearcats. Lay the points and take UCLA to cover. |
09-01-18 |
UNLV v. USC -26 | | 21-43 |
Loss | -106 | 68 h 41 m | Show |
With Sam Darnold gone, USC isn't getting the respect they deserve coming into this season. Underestimating this team is a big mistake. It's easy for some to underestimate a team that goes from Sam Darnold to a true freshman starting QB. Another mistake. JT Daniels is no ordinary freshman. He was recruited by just about every big name school in the country and is projected to be a star at USC for the next 3 years followed by getting his name called early in the first round of the NFL draft like the player he's replacing. USC still has the kind of weapons all over the field that will help the young QB develop faster. This is usually the point that I would talk about UNLV a little but there isn't much to say. This program is a disaster. With only 2 winning seasons in the last 23 years, you have to commend them for giving coach Tony Sanchez a real chance to turn it around. But they are outclassed at every position in this game. USC is 18-1 in their last 19 home openers and even with the freshman QB they are talented enough to win the Pac 12 and be in the mix for a playoff berth. If you're looking for that week 1 college blowout we all love this is the game. USC wins big! Lay the points and take USC |
09-01-18 |
North Carolina v. California -7 | | 17-24 |
Push | 0 | 68 h 35 m | Show |
If you look at Cal's 5 wins from last season you wouldn't be impressed that they return the key pieces from last years team. If you look deeper at their 2017 season you would see that they played extremely well against the better teams in the conference but couldn't quite do enough in the 4th quarter to make the plays needed to win those tough Pac 12 games. I would have liked Cal in this game even if North Carolina wasn't a mess. But when a team loses most of their talent from a 2017 team that was awful and has players suspended for selling team apparel this becomes a no-brainer. These two teams played last season in Carolina and Cal won 35-30. Cal will be better this season and North Carolina will disappoint again, starting with this one on the road. Lay the 7 and take Cal. |
09-01-18 |
Central Michigan +17 v. Kentucky | | 20-35 |
Win | 100 | 67 h 6 m | Show |
Kentucky shouldn't be favored by this much against an FCS school in week 1, let alone a MAC team like Central Michigan. Don't get me wrong, Central Michigan doesn't recruit the talent of any power conference team but they have enough talent to compete against a perennial disappointment like Kentucky. Throw in the fact that Kentucky's offense is young and inexperienced and this game has the look of a being a one-possession game in the 4th quarter. The longer Central Michigan stays in it the more pressure Kentucky will be under to not lose in their home opener against a non SEC team. This game comes down to the wire and the dog cashes. Take The Points and Central Michigan. |
09-01-18 |
Florida Atlantic +21 v. Oklahoma | | 14-63 |
Loss | -110 | 64 h 42 m | Show |
Baker Mayfield is gone and the Oklahoma offense no longer has the type of QB that can make up for their deficiencies on defense by simply outscoring their opponents despite playing terrible defense. Saying new starting QB Kyler Murray is no Mayfield is an understatement. He couldn't win the starting job at A&M in 2015 before transferring to Oklahoma, sitting out 2016 and watching from the sidelines last season. He may turn out to be a dangerous weapon but it may take a few games. The defense looks like they will struggle again this season and they will be tested right out of the gate. Lane Kiffin is still one the best offensive minds in college football and returning 15 starters from a team that went 11-3 last season means that they should be just as good if not better than last season with Kiffin calling the plays. Running back Devin Singletary is back after rushing for 1,900 yards a year ago and should give Oklahoma problems. The Sooners still have too much talent to not get the win but covering 3 touchdowns is asking too much. Take The Points and Florida Atlantic |
08-31-18 |
Diamondbacks +118 v. Dodgers | | 2-3 |
Loss | -100 | 10 h 10 m | Show |
Hyun-Jin Ryu returned from a 3 month stint on the DL August 18th and pitched a gem against the Giants. Since that start he has pitched progressively worse. He only lasted 4 innings in a loss to the Cardinals in his second start and he gave up 11 hits to the Padres on Sunday but managed to give up only 2 runs and got the win. The Diamondbacks are better than the Padres by leaps and bounds and Ryu will not be able to wiggle out of trouble allowing base runners like he did in his last two starts. With Zach Greinke on the mound giving up even a couple of runs and the Dodgers will be hard pressed to win this one. The price is right to take Arizona on the road. Take Arizona for 1 unit. |

A's +174 v. Astros | | 4-11 |
Loss | -100 | 15 h 14 m | Show |
As the defending champs, the Astros have been overvalued all year but this money line makes little sense. Gerrit Cole has struggled with his control for weeks. He's walked too many batters and hasn't been able to go much longer than 5 innings of late. Oakland has not only quietly moved within a game and a half of Houston for first in the AL West but they also have one of best offenses in baseball with better numbers than Houston. Throw in the fact that Brett Anderson has only given up 2 earned runs in 26 innings this month and the value on Oakland is too good to pass up. Take Oakland For 1 Unit |
