Texas v. Kansas State +8.5 | | 70-57 |
Loss | -108 | 5 h 44 m | Show |
The Longhorns are just 2-5 ATS against teams who are playing teams with a .600 win percentage or better. The Wildcats are 6-2-1 ATS overall with the road team in this series cashing 9 of 12. |
01-04-22 |
Colgate v. Lehigh +9.5 | Top | 81-85 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 12 m | Show |
It's hard to understand why this number is so high with both teams being an unreliable source of offense and with Colgate being one of the worst defensive teams in College Basketball. |
01-02-22 |
Dartmouth +5 v. Cornell | Top | 71-79 |
Loss | -108 | 1 h 26 m | Show |
This one is simple. Dartmouth needs to slow down one of the efficient offenses in the country, something they've struggled with this season. This number looks funny to me so we're not going to pass against what the bookmakers are clearly trying to feed you in this one. |
01-01-22 |
Northern Colorado +6.5 v. Southern Utah | Top | 91-81 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 16 m | Show |
The Thunderbirds have been a profitable spread team this season but when asked to cover a bigger number like this one they are just 2-4 ATS. They're are not a great shooting team so the Bears will have their chances to stay close. NC is 7-4-1 against the number this year. |
01-01-22 |
Nebraska-Omaha +18 v. Oral Roberts | Top | 62-107 |
Loss | -117 | 5 h 31 m | Show |
For as bad as the Mavericks have been this season, Oral Roberts is a turnover machine and can't be trusted to cover such a big number. If there's one strength of the Mavericks it's they are well-coached and not sloppy. This will prove too large of a number. |
01-01-22 |
Tulane +9.5 v. Cincinnati | Top | 68-60 |
Win | 100 | 3 h 22 m | Show |
After nearly two weeks off due to the holidays and COVID-19 postponements, Cincinnati (10-3) opens up its AAC schedule with Tulane (4-6) on Saturday night. UC faced the daunting task of traveling to No. 12 Houston on Tuesday, but injuries and COVID-19 issues caused the game's postponement. The Green Wave had issues of their own in early December due to the virus, but they are healthy now and looked it in their 85-84 upset win over Memphis to start their AAC schedule. |
12-29-21 |
Illinois State v. Wisconsin -16.5 | Top | 85-89 |
Loss | -110 | 6 h 22 m | Show |
Playing for the first time since Dec. 15, No. 24 Wisconsin (9-2) returns to action to face Illinois State (8-5) in the final non-conference tune-up. Illinois State is likely going to have a ton of problems on the glass against Wisconsin. The Redbirds are one of the worst rebounding teams in the country, allowing 11.4 offensive boards per contest, which ranks No. 345 in college basketball out of 358 teams. In fact, their opponents get about 32 percent of this misses back. Meanwhile, the Badgers are having one of their best years in recent memory on the offensive glass. UW has already posted seven games of double-digit offensive boards. By comparison, this is something the Badgers did just eight times in 2020-21 with an experienced frontcourt. When UW hits 10 or more offensive rebounds, they are 6-1 this season, with the lone loss coming against Providence without Davis. |
12-27-21 |
Brown +10.5 v. Syracuse | Top | 62-93 |
Loss | -120 | 16 h 53 m | Show |
Defensively, the Orange will need to improve their zone that has been a primary factor in most, if not all, of their losses this season. Brown’s offense isn’t spectacular, but it could still find ways to score if the holes in an SU unit that’s 227th in 3-point defense and 252nd in 2-point defense emerge once again. Patching those areas will be a necessary factor for the Orange to avoid dropping their sixth nonconference game this season. |
12-23-21 |
Liberty +2.5 v. Stanford | | 76-79 |
Loss | -110 | 4 h 36 m | Show |
After losing three straight to fall to 1-3 to start the season, Liberty has run off seven victories in eight games. Rivaled only by a 66-45 shellacking of Missouri was Wednesday's impressive win over Northern Iowa, which earlier had gone on the road and beaten then-No. 16 St. Bonaventure. |
12-22-21 |
UMKC +4.5 v. South Dakota | | 68-57 |
Win | 100 | 17 h 20 m | Show |
The road team has covered four straight times in this series. The Coyotes are just 1-6 ATS following a SU loss. |
12-21-21 |
Morehead State v. IUPU-Indianapolis +16 | Top | 80-52 |
Loss | -105 | 16 h 11 m | Show |
The Jaguars defensive is one of the best in the country at limiting offensive possessions. This is too big of a number to cover against a team that could win outright. |
12-20-21 |
Louisiana-Monroe -5 v. Lamar | | 80-77 |
Loss | -110 | 6 h 57 m | Show |
It's hard to go against one of the sharpest shooting teams in the country here. La-Monroe has shot just under 50% fr the season as they face one the worst defensive teams in the country. |
12-19-21 |
Southern v. Kent State -14.5 | | 78-76 |
Loss | -104 | 1 h 19 m | Show |
Kent owns one of the best defenses in College Basketball. Southern likes to push the pace but I thinks that's a formula for a blowout. |
12-14-21 |
Arkansas-Pine Bluff v. Texas -35 | Top | 31-63 |
Loss | -110 | 5 h 60 m | Show |
No. 17 Texas will look to get back on the winning track and remain unbeaten at home when the Longhorns host hapless Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Tuesday in Austin, Texas. The Longhorns (6-2) return to the floor after a 64-60 loss on the road at then-No. 23 Seton Hall on Thursday that snapped Texas' five-game win streak. The Golden Lions are 0-9 on the road this season and have already dropped road games, in blowout fashion, to two teams from the Big 12 Conference -- Iowa State (83-64) and Baylor (99-54). Arkansas-Pine Bluff's 10 losses have come by an average of 23.3 points per game. Its only win this season was by five points over Arkansas Baptist College, an NAIA program. |
12-11-21 |
Alabama A&M v. Samford -12.5 | Top | 50-52 |
Loss | -110 | 4 h 25 m | Show |
Samford is ranked third in College Basketball in possessions per game, so you can bet that they'll have plenty of chance to extend their lead in the second half to give us a cover. Contain Garrett Hicks, we'll have an easy cover. |
12-10-21 |
Murray State +10.5 v. Memphis | | 74-72 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 41 m | Show |
Penny Hardaway tries to pull Memphis out of losing streak vs. Murray St.FLMDec 09, 2021 Memphis coach Penny Hardaway hopes his criticism will spark a Tigers turnaround when they host Murray State in a nonconference game on Friday night looking to end a three-game losing streak. "We've got so much negativity in our locker room with veterans being jealous," he told The Athletic. "Everybody's trying to get to the NBA off the ranking we had, but nobody is willing to sacrifice minutes, touches, anything. It's been miserable. You can imagine what a 17-year-old is thinking as he's trying to figure it out. |
12-07-21 |
North Carolina A&T v. East Carolina -10 | Top | 71-82 |
Win | 100 | 3 h 46 m | Show |
The Aggies are just 2-7-1 ATS against teams with a winning record and 1-6-2 against teams with a win percentage over .600. The Pirates are 5-2 ATS following a SU win. |
12-06-21 |
Alcorn State v. Houston -32.5 | Top | 45-77 |
Loss | -106 | 5 h 51 m | Show |
Even with all the new faces, the Houston Cougars had great expectations following the program's first Final Four appearance in 37 years. In truth, those expectations were unfair. The Cougars have performed exceptionally in the early stages of this season, with No. 15 Houston (7-1) producing a 111-44 home victory over Bryant last Friday that tied for the third-largest margin of victory in program history. The Cougars will host Alcorn State (1-6) on Monday and, in all likelihood, will record a third consecutive blowout triumph. |
12-04-21 |
Robert Morris v. Wisc-Milwaukee -3.5 | Top | 69-77 |
Win | 100 | 3 h 45 m | Show |
Neither team is that great to start the season but where the Colonials will have an edge is rebounding. Robert Morris has failed to cover one game this season, that trend continues this afternoon. |
12-03-21 |
VMI v. Portland -4.5 | Top | 90-82 |
Loss | -110 | 7 h 16 m | Show |
You know you're going to get an above-average temp game with the Pilots in addition to their true shooting percentage being a constant weapon. This match-up should be a shootout but I'll take the Pilots who are red hot at home. |
12-01-21 |
La Salle v. Temple -6.5 | Top | 57-73 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 16 m | Show |
We're on another team playing against a weak defense, which is what the Explorers bring to the table. La Salle will not force turnovers and are soft inside. This plays right into the hands of the Owls who are more of a dribble penetration team. Expect temple to live at the free-throw line tonight. |
11-30-21 |
Duke -3 v. Ohio State | Top | 66-71 |
Loss | -110 | 15 h 21 m | Show |
Duke has had some impressive wins thus far. The Blue Devils are now 7-0 and have taken down Kentucky and Gonzaga, which were ranked at No. 10 and No. 1, respectively, at the time of the games. The Blue Devils have been solid both defensively and offensively, beating their opponents by an average of 21 points, but there’s one caveat that concerns these successes: Duke has not played a true road game. This will be the final test before Duke can declare themselves legit title contenders. |
11-29-21 |
Lafayette -1 v. Columbia | Top | 73-50 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 9 m | Show |
Both of these teams are bad the Leopard's tempo is much faster than the pace Columbia wants to play at, giving us more possessions. Lion's perimeter defense is nonexistent. |
11-28-21 |
Portland -7.5 v. Incarnate Word | | 77-68 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 21 m | Show |
The Pilots have covered four straight games and four straight road games, while the Cardinal is 3-7-1 ATS overall and 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 home games. |
11-24-21 |
Cal Poly v. Idaho +6 | | 67-63 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 37 m | Show |
neither team comes into this game in great form but history will tell you that Idaho is the right side when these two teams match-up nd we're getting a generous number comparing it to my power ratings. |
11-22-21 |
Valparaiso v. Jacksonville State -6.5 | Top | 78-70 |
Loss | -110 | 15 h 51 m | Show |
Dating back to last season, Valpo is just 1-6 ATS against teams with a losing record and have failed to cover four straight overall. The Gamecocks have covered 6 of 7 overall and 5 of 6 against teams with a losing record. |
11-20-21 |
Army v. La Salle -4.5 | | 58-61 |
Loss | -110 | 4 h 54 m | Show |
On defense, the Black Knights are able to force 13.0 turnovers per game and they draw 14.8 fouls. They are currently ranked 319th in the nation in giving up assists to their opponents with 51 relinquished this season. The Black Knights defense is giving up a field goal percentage of 38.0% (97 of 255) and they surrender 35.3 rebounds per contest as a squad. They surrender 29.0% on shots from beyond the perimeter and they are 157th in the country in PPG from their opponents (66.0). |
11-19-21 |
Oakland v. Alabama -15 | Top | 59-86 |
Win | 100 | 13 h 20 m | Show |
The Golden Grizzlies won't be able to keep up with the pace of play from the Crimson Tide. Alabama averages over 74 possessions a game ranking them 26th in the country. Those possessions have led to just under 80 points a game, this doesn't bode well for Oakland who is one of the country's worst defensive teams. |
11-18-21 |
Coastal Carolina +1.5 v. NC-Wilmington | Top | 53-65 |
Loss | -110 | 15 h 37 m | Show |
The Chanticleers won their first game of the season by playing tenacious defense, holding Ferrum to under 40% shooting. I know this is a step up if they can get close to their 80pts scored in game one, they will win this game easily. |
11-17-21 |
Drexel +2 v. St. Joe's | | 78-75 |
Win | 100 | 11 h 36 m | Show |
Don't underestimate Drexel who were overhelmed by Syracuse in the second half but they held their own in the first and actually led at the break. St.Joes is going to have to show me a lot more before I start thinking they're have turned a corner from last year. |
11-16-21 |
BYU v. Oregon -4 | Top | 81-49 |
Loss | -110 | 17 h 6 m | Show |
Oregon lost their top three scorers from a year ago, but they return some nice pieces and reloaded via the transfer portal. The top returnee is Preseason First-Team All Pac-12 selection Will Richardson. The 6-foot-5 senior guard averaged 11.3 ppg and is the Ducks leading scorer through two games with 38 total points on 8-13 shooting from three. The Ducks start three high-level transfers that they brought in this offseason from P5 programs — De’Vion Harmon (who had BYU as a finalist), Jacob Young, and Quincy Guerrier. Each player averaged double digits last season. All 5 Oregon starters can shoot and they are an athletic team that can switch positions 1-5. |
11-14-21 |
South Dakota v. Drake -16.5 | Top | 50-99 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 4 m | Show |
The Drake Bulldogs opened their season in impressive fashion by scoring 87 points in their win over Coe College. In the contest, the Bulldogs asserted their dominance right from the start, scoring 47 points in the opening half. Their defense allowed just 31 and 30 points between the two halves. Against Coe, Drake shot the ball extremely well, finishing with a shooting percentage of 63%. They walked away with an offensive efficiency rating 120.8. The Coyotes won their first game but it was sloppy and inefficient. |
11-12-21 |
Rice v. Houston -14 | Top | 46-79 |
Win | 100 | 16 h 33 m | Show |
This is a spot the Cougars thrived in last season when they went 6-3 ATS when favored by 14.5 points or more. Houston is 11-5 ATS as a home favorite dating back to last season and has been terrific coming off an ATS loss. |
11-11-21 |
Cal-Riverside +10 v. Arizona State | Top | 66-65 |
Win | 100 | 15 h 1 m | Show |
This is a Sun Devil team that went 4-10 ATS last season and open up as a double-digit favorite in this one, a spot they didn't fare well in 2020-21. The Sun Devils were missing four players in their opener due to COVID contact tracing protocols and those players aren't expected to dress for Thursday's game. They include forward Jalen Graham and Boston College transfer Jay Heath. The others are true freshman Justin Rochelin and walk-on Jordan Williams. UC Riverside finished 14-8 overall and 8-4 in the Big West Conference a year ago. Its top player in the opener was 7-foot-1 junior center Callum McRae who totaled 13 points and four rebounds in the loss to the Aztecs. |
11-10-21 |
North Alabama v. Mississippi State -21 | Top | 49-75 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 42 m | Show |
The Mississippi State men's basketball team didn't make the NCAA Tournament last season. But the Bulldogs did make the NIT and got all the way to New York before losing to Memphis in the championship. So the next step this season would be for MSU, which hosts North Alabama in its season opener Wednesday night, to get to the NCAA Tournament. I think we'll see them with an easy win over the Lions. |
11-09-21 |
Texas-Arlington v. Oklahoma State -19 | Top | 45-88 |
Win | 100 | 16 h 58 m | Show |
The Cowboys lost Cunningham (20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds last season), but return 10 players from last year's roster, including its next eight highest scorers, led by junior guard Avery Anderson III (12.2). UT Arlington, which is coming off a 13-13 season, made a coaching change this offseason when it promoted longtime assistant Greg Young after former coach Chris Ogden was hired as an assistant coach at the University of Texas. I expect that the announcement that the Cowboys would not be eligible for the NCAA Tournament this season will light a fire under the Cowboys through the first couple of games. |
03-12-21 |
UCF +7 v. Memphis | | 62-70 |
Loss | -110 | 4 h 7 m | Show |
The Knights played well in the first half of a 72-62 win over East Carolina to move on. They were great at stopping the Pirates from three, got to the line more and made the most of their chances, and they stayed comfortably ahead. It’s a good enough team from three to stick around against Memphis – it leads the AAC in three point field goal percentage – but it has to attack the rim against a defense that comes up with a whole lot of fouls. Get to the line – like it did against ECU – make the free throw, and hope the Tigers are off |
03-12-21 |
Wisconsin +4.5 v. Iowa | Top | 57-62 |
Loss | -107 | 3 h 25 m | Show |
Wisconsin just isn’t going to be the Wisconsin everyone is used to. It can still play a little bit of defense, but not really. It’s careful with the ball, it moves the ball around well, and yeah, it leads the Big Ten in scoring defense, but this is nowhere near the type of team that had the chops to make a big run in the NCAA Tournament. But it’s still alive. Barely. It was cruising right along against Penn State until the D melted down late as the team held on for dear life in a 75-74 win – it survived a late Penn State shot to pull it off. However, the Badgers were on from three, they were great on the free throw line |

03-12-21 |
Missouri +5 v. Arkansas | | 64-70 |
Loss | -104 | 1 h 24 m | Show |
The Tigers might have struggled over the late part of the season, but they picked a great time to come up with a terrific performance in the 73-70 SEC Tournament win over Georgia. It was a typical Mizzou win. There were tons of rebounds, and the O hit 43% from the field, but it didn’t do any one thing at a dominant level. Georgia was right there throughout playing everyone bit as well, but Missouri made four more free throws and won the rebounding margin. For all of the good things Arkansas does, it’s not great from three and it doesn’t force a ton of mistakes considering the pressure from its style. Mizzou has no problems mucking it up and making this a defensive fight. |
03-12-21 |
Tulane +18.5 v. Houston | | 52-77 |
Loss | -113 | 1 h 57 m | Show |
Tulane pulled up out of a four-game losing streak nosedive with a 77-70 win over Tulsa with a great defensive performance in the second half and with one of its better shooting games. The Green Wave might struggle from three and don’t shoot all that well in general, but they’re solid at forcing mistakes – the got ten steals against the Golden Hurricane – and they make up for several problems by hitting everything from the free throw line. They made nine more free throws – they’re the best in the AAC on the line – and they need to keep attacking the rim. |

Montana State +6.5 v. Southern Utah | | 80-77 |

03-12-21 |
Rutgers +8 v. Illinois | | 68-90 |
Loss | -101 | 1 h 39 m | Show |
Indiana helped the cause by missing just about everything just as it needed to try saving its season down the stretch, but the Rutgers D deserves a little credit in a 61-50 win in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament. The Hoosiers couldn’t shoot from the free throw line, and Rutgers could. Neither team could hit from three, but the Scarlet Knights were a bit better, and overall, they took advantage of the opportunity. They gave Illinois a great run in a 91-88 Illini win in late December, getting to the line 36 times and doing enough from the field to stay in the game. |
03-12-21 |
Oklahoma State v. Baylor -8.5 | Top | 83-74 |
Loss | -107 | 1 h 42 m | Show |
Yeah, Baylor hasn’t been quite as dominant as it was before missing three weeks, but it’s still winning. It’s 5-1, it got by Texas Tech, West Virginia, and Oklahoma State, too. No, the Kansas State game wasn’t easy, but that’s sort of what Kansas State does – it plays tough, fights the good fight, and then it loses. The Bears continue to be special from the field – making way over half of their shots in the last four games since the Kansas loss – and they continue to come through with the big shots in the key moments to keep control of games. |
03-12-21 |
Ohio +3 v. Toledo | Top | 87-80 |
Win | 100 | 4 h 14 m | Show |
Both teams come into this one playing well on the offensive end but I think this number is too high with both teams knowing who ever plays better defensively will move to the next round. |
03-12-21 |
Cincinnati +5.5 v. SMU | | 74-71 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 21 m | Show |
How ready is SMU going to be? The program hasn’t played since February 8th, while Cincinnati is coming off a win over East Carolina last week to close out a decent second half of the season. The Bearcats are great at moving the ball around and solid at getting out and guarding the three, and there’s no real worry about the Mustangs from the outside. They don’t shoot a ton of threes, and they struggle to make them when they do. Cincinnati was able to win the first meeting on the road back in earl January by forcing next to nothing from the outside and by making a few more threes |
03-12-21 |
Ohio State v. Purdue +1 | Top | 87-78 |
Loss | -105 | 2 h 35 m | Show |
After knocking off the Gophers and potentially costing Richard Pitino his job, Ohio State now moves on to face 4-seed Purdue (18-8, 13-6), who have already beaten the Buckeyes twice this season. Ohio State opened Big Ten play against Purdue on Dec. 16 in West Lafayette and was defeated 67-60. Liddell was recovering from an illness and did not play, while Trevion Williams feasted on the Ohio State defense, flirting with a triple-double by registering 16 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. The Boilermakers were dominant in game two and I'm banking on that to happen again. |
03-11-21 |
North Carolina v. Virginia Tech +3.5 | | 81-73 |
Loss | -105 | 2 h 25 m | Show |
Virginia Tech is certainly rested. No, they can’t rebound with North Carolina, but make the shots and that’s not a problem. It hasn’t played since beating Wake Forest on February 27th, and they’re about to get on the move. They made half of their shots in the win over the Demon Deacons, were fantastic in the stunning sin over Virginia – hitting half of their threes – and they’re going to have to be hot right away. For all of the good things the Tar Heels do, they’re a turnover machine. Virginia Tech doesn’t come up with steals, but it’ll generate a few. |

Seattle University -1.5 v. California Baptist | Top | 83-66 |
Win | 100 | 4 h 14 m | Show |
Seattle U averages a WAC-low 10.5 giveaways per game, which also keeps pace among the nation's best. The Redhawks' mark ranks 9th among all NCAA DI teams in games played through Feb. 27. |

Iowa State +12 v. Oklahoma | Top | 73-79 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 18 m | Show |
It hasn’t won a game of any kind since before Christmas, but the team has played well at times with a good fight in a 77-72 loss to Baylor, it didn’t get annihilated in either game against Oklahoma, and in general, the team plays just well enough to not get embarrassed. At least, most of the time. The team has a good pace to see games within range, it hits everything on the free throw line, and it’s not bad a defending the three |
03-10-21 |
Nebraska +6.5 v. Penn State | | 66-72 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 2 m | Show |
The Huskers can hit the boards. They’re great on the defensive glass, they’re aggressive enough to force a ton of mistakes, and they’re terrific a guarding from three. So the idea is to stop Penn State from the outside, get the rebound, and then make something happen off of the moment. Penn State is doesn’t come up with defensive rebounds – it’s the worst in the Big Ten at it – and the defense is the worst in the conference at stopping anyone from consistently scoring. The Huskers were able to shoot 50% or better in three of the last five games, and they weren’t bad in the other two games |

DePaul +7 v. Providence | | 70-62 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 27 m | Show |
Each of the Blue Demons' past two losses have come by single digits, including a 77-71 defeat against Marquette last Tuesday. Paulicap finished with 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field. The Friars will overlook Depaul with a date with Uconn on the horizon. |

Duke v. Louisville +2.5 | | 70-56 |
Loss | -105 | 4 h 37 m | Show |
The Cardinals were able to get by Duke on the road a few weeks ago by coming up with its second-best day from the field in the last nine games. The first best? It was in a 70-65 win over Duke in late January. This might not be the most consistent team, but it’s great on the boards, the defense is solid, and it doesn’t make a whole lot of mistakes offensively. It’s not going to give Duke enough turnovers to matter. And no, Louisville’s offense isn’t Boston College’s – it’s not going to go 1-of-15 from three |
03-10-21 |
Minnesota v. Northwestern +1 | Top | 51-46 |
Loss | -115 | 8 h 48 m | Show |
The only meeting between the teams this season came on Feb. 25, when the Wildcats outshot Minnesota 42.2 percent to 37.1 percent and made 13 more free throws en route to a 67-59 victory. Minnesota has attempted 22.9 free throws per game this season, the 14th-highest rate in the country. Northwestern has gotten to the line far less frequently and is averaging only 16 foul shots per game (ranked 257th, nationally). |

Iona +1 v. Siena | Top | 55-52 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 34 m | Show |
Iona hasn't played but 15 games this season and their opening-round win was their first since February 20th. The first game was won on energy, its the second where you see the effects of the layoff, pace will be slow. |
03-10-21 |
Air Force v. UNLV -11.5 | Top | 52-80 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 50 m | Show |
This Air Force team has been much more disappointing than UNLV, the Falcons are last in the league in scoring at 59 points per game, second to last in scoring defense(73 ppg allowed). Last in rebounding(22 rpg), 8th in the league in three-point percentage and surprisingly for an Air Force team, they arent very good at the free throw line at 68 percent. What kept them in both games in Las Vegas was UNLV’s continued issues shooting the three(they Rebels were 2-14 in game one) and that bad UNLV defense, which has been subpar most of the conference season. |

Arkansas-Pine Bluff +10 v. Jackson State | | 62-74 |
Loss | -105 | 1 h 36 m | Show |
This is a late addition to my card. |
03-10-21 |
NC State v. Syracuse -2.5 | Top | 68-89 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 52 m | Show |
The defense has done its thing over the last few games. It was able to keep North Carolina from doing much of anything consistently in a 72-70 Orange win, and then it shot down Clemson just enough to come into the ACC Tournament on a bit of a streak. For all of the good things NC State has been doing lately, it still isn’t rebounding all that well and the defense isn’t anything special. Syracuse should be able to hit the offensive boards hard |
03-09-21 |
Boston College v. Duke -12.5 | Top | 51-86 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 19 m | Show |
Duke is bad at guarding teams from three, and Boston College is worse. Teams are firing at will from the outside on this D, hitting 35% of their tries. Duke is bad at coming up with defensive rebounds, and Boston College is worse overall at hitting the boards. The Eagles are way too inconsistent from the field – they’ve only hit more than 42% from the field once in the last six games – with the inability to come up with the extra pass for easy points. |
03-07-21 |
Texas v. TCU +7.5 | | 76-64 |
Loss | -108 | 5 h 43 m | Show |
TCU really needs this. At 12-12, it’s not going to the NCAA Tournament unless it starts to look impressive in his and makes a deep run in the Big 12 tournament. Even then, forget about it without a Big 12 Championship, but it starts here. Yeah, Texas has been great on the road lately, but this is the fourth straight game away from Austin with the last home date over two weeks ago. TCU might not have the offense, but it has enough of a defense to keep this interesting if it can keep the up-and-down outside shooting Longhorns from going off. |

Penn State +5.5 v. Maryland | Top | 66-61 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 49 m | Show |
On Wednesday, the Nittany Lions capped off their home schedule with a dominant 84-65 win over Minnesota. Coming off arguably the best all-around game the Nittany Lions have played all season they will look to finish the regular season off with back-to-back wins when they travel to College Park on Sunday night to battle the Maryland Terrapins. In the first matchup of the season between the two teams Penn State defeated Maryland 55-50 at the Bryce Jordan Center. The Nittany Lions will be looking for a repeat performance, just maybe with a bit more offense this time, on Sunday night |
03-07-21 |
William & Mary v. Northeastern -7 | Top | 47-63 |
Win | 100 | 4 h 38 m | Show |
The Northeastern Huskies finished the regular season at 9-8 overall and 8-2 in the CAA. That 8-2 mark was good enough to give them a first-round bye in the CAA conference tournament. Like the rest of the teams in the CAA, February was kind of a lost month as they only played three games -- losing two of them. One was a loss to North Carolina -- okay, that's legit The other was a loss to one of the worst teams on the conference -- Towson. Troubling. But Northeastern racked up 8 conference wins and beat James Madison, Charleston, Hofstra, Elon, and Towson. They have some quality wins, especially in January. The Huskies are led by Tyson Walker, who averages 18.5 points and 4.9 assists per game. He's third in the conference in scoring. Shaquille Walters averages 10.5 points per game and 6.6 rebounds, while Jahmyl Telfort averages 10.6 points per game. Northeastern averages 78.5 points per game and shoots 48.5% from the floor. |
03-07-21 |
Michigan v. Michigan State +8.5 | | 64-70 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 23 m | Show |
Having length all over the court bothers Michigan, but to beat them you have to find consistent offense — getting good looks especially off of individual drives because Michigan tends to play fairly isolation-intensive defense — and to hit some three-point shots. |
03-07-21 |
Wisconsin v. Iowa -6.5 | Top | 73-77 |
Loss | -115 | 2 h 31 m | Show |
The Big Ten’s Game of the Day on Sunday figures to be in Iowa City, with Wisconsin traveling to close things out against Iowa. There’s little debating the Hawkeyes enter this game with the momentum, having won six of the team’s last seven games, including a 15-point road win against Wisconsin on February 18th. Meanwhile, Wisconsin enters having lost four of its last five games. |
03-06-21 |
Butler +12.5 v. Creighton | | 73-93 |
Loss | -109 | 6 h 35 m | Show |
Butler is a funky defensive team that all of a sudden stepped up its play over the last few games. Beating Seton Hall was good, but dropping Villanova by 12 was an eye-opener. The team doesn’t normally shoot all that well, but it’s been on lately with the ability to get to the basket and overcome the streaky shooting from the outside. More than anything else, though, it’s been great at defending from three – the last three games it held Xavier, Seton Hall, and Villanova to 12-of-71 from three. Stop Creighton from three, stop Creighton. The Bluejays were held to 26% from the outside in the first meeting, and Butler won. |
03-06-21 |
Texas A&M +15 v. Arkansas | Top | 80-87 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 33 m | Show |
The Aggies are decent enough on defense to keep the score low and within range. It’s decent at keeping teams in check from the outside defensively, and it’s not bad at holding on to the ball and not allowing a whole slew of mistakes offensively. Arkansas doesn’t necessarily live on forcing errors and getting out on the move, but it’s a whole lot more effective when it does. It’s a high-octane Hog team that puts up points in bunches, and A&M should be able to stop that – or at least slow it all down. |
03-06-21 |
Indiana State v. Loyola-Chicago -11 | | 49-65 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 6 m | Show |
Ten players entered the scoring column Friday for Loyola (22-4), with reserve Jacob Hutson leading the balanced attack with 13 points. Braden Norris and Lucas Williamson each tallied 11 as the Ramblers connected on 47.4 percent of their field-goal attempts. |
03-06-21 |
Pittsburgh v. Clemson -8 | | 62-77 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 41 m | Show |
The Tigers had a clunker game up at Syracuse on Wednesday, snapping that 5 game winning streak and reminding all of us how bad, at times, this team can look. However, a very impressive top 6 ACC finish is still very much in the cards heading into this final game with Pittsburgh. Overall this season has been a success and an NCAA bid is all but assured for the first time in three seasons (and only the third time in Brownell’s tenure). All that remains is a game the Tigers are favored to win over Pittsburgh at home. Clemson sits at 15-6 overall and 9-6 in the league. The Tigers will have a winning ACC record, always a good thing, and could/should hit the 10 win mark. That is something that has happened very few times in the history of Clemson basketball. |
03-06-21 |
Georgetown +9.5 v. Connecticut | | 82-98 |
Loss | -110 | 1 h 29 m | Show |
Maybe not shoot 2-11 from three, which is what UConn did last time out against the Hoyas. If Bouknight’s shot isn’t falling like against Seton Hall, can Hurley manufacture easy looks for RJ Cole and Tyrese Martin? |
03-06-21 |
Florida State v. Notre Dame +6 | Top | 73-83 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 35 m | Show |
Mike Brey was reminded that this is not a throw away season by the irish faithful after two dreadful losses to Boston College and NC State. I may have been the wake up call his team needed. |
03-05-21 |
Georgia Tech v. Wake Forest +9 | | 75-63 |
Loss | -110 | 10 h 56 m | Show |
As they try to snap their losing streak, the Demon Deacons will have the benefit of a home-court advantage. Regardless, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons will need to get to the basket often if they are going to keep pace with this strong Georgia Tech squad. |
03-05-21 |
Ball State +9.5 v. Toledo | Top | 70-89 |
Loss | -106 | 9 h 3 m | Show |
There are some teams who I think are a little better than their record and the Cardinal certainly fit in this category. Many think their first meeting was a fluke, a Ball State win. They don't play well defensively but they sure did in their last meeting and I'm getting 9.5 |
03-05-21 |
Evansville v. Indiana State -5.5 | Top | 43-53 |
Win | 100 | 4 h 47 m | Show |
Evansville had lost seven straight games before a win in their season finale. The team ended the season 7-11 in MVC play and 9-15 overall and the team’s main issue was scoring the pill only averaging 65.7 ppg. Indiana State had won three in a row before suffering a loss in their last game of the regular season. However, they finished the season over .500, overall, (14-9) and in MVC play (11-7). Like the Purple Aces the Sycamores are not a high scoring team but have a better defense holding their opponents to an average of just 66.8 ppg. |
03-04-21 |
UTEP v. Kansas -17 | | 62-67 |
Loss | -108 | 7 h 39 m | Show |
UTEP does not create a high volume of shots at the rim (336th nationally), and partly because of that, it has a poor two-point percentage overall (47%, 279th nationally). |
03-04-21 |
TCU +13 v. West Virginia | Top | 67-76 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 49 m | Show |
No. 6 West Virginia will host TCU on Thursday in a Big 12 game after suffering its fourth loss of the season at home Tuesday when the Mountaineers took third-ranked Baylor to overtime. West Virginia's 94-89 loss to Baylor is its second overtime loss at home with the Mountaineers also losing to Oklahoma in double overtime. They also lost on a last-second shot to Texas and by two possessions against Florida. |
03-04-21 |
Southern Illinois -2 v. Bradley | Top | 73-63 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 0 m | Show |
Both teams have had issues offensively, so look for the pace to be slow. Jump on this number now because it appears it's falling fast. |
03-04-21 |
Rhode Island v. Dayton -3.5 | | 72-84 |
Win | 100 | 3 h 37 m | Show |
Rhode Island has lost six of its last seven games, though its only victory in that stretch came against the team it plays Thursday. It beat Dayton 91-89 in double overtime in Kingston, R.I., on Feb. 16, as the teams split the season series. Dayton won the first matchup 67-56 on Jan. 30. |
03-03-21 |
San Diego State v. UNLV +9.5 | Top | 71-62 |
Win | 100 | 9 h 43 m | Show |
This looks too easy considering the Rebels are not a great offensive team against an Aztec team who is one of the best defensive teams in the country. Those who know, understand that these two programs don't like each other much which should lead to hard-fought defensive battle. |
03-03-21 |
Creighton v. Villanova -4.5 | Top | 60-72 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 18 m | Show |
This is their second meeting this season. Creighton crushed Villanova 86–70 as 2-point underdogs at home in the first game on Feb. 13. These teams split the season series year, with both teams winning on the road. Villanova won the first game, 64–59, and Creighton won the second meeting, 76–61. I'll take the Wilcats in this revenge spot. |
03-02-21 |
Vanderbilt v. LSU -13.5 | | 68-83 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 23 m | Show |
The Commodores were playing their second consecutive game without their top two scorers -- Scotty Pippen Jr. (20.5 points per game) and Dylan Disu (15 points, 9.2 rebounds). Disu is out for the season because of a knee injury, but Pippen (hip) might be available to oppose LSU. |
03-02-21 |
Fresno State +13.5 v. Boise State | | 67-64 |
Win | 100 | 4 h 29 m | Show |
Fresno State seeks revenge on Boise State after dropping the first matchup in Boise. The teams last played on Jan. 20, when the Broncos created 16 Fresno State turnovers and turned the ball over just eight times on the way to the 22-point victory. |
03-02-21 |
Xavier -2.5 v. Georgetown | Top | 66-72 |
Loss | -110 | 5 h 37 m | Show |
Xavier is fresh off a win over DePaul and have won five of their last seven games, including a 74-62 win over then-No. 10 Seton Hall. But with just three games remaining, the Musketeers’ time is running out to build up a March Madness resume and make a serious bid. Though Georgetown has had its troubles this season, a win over them would go a long way to finding them in the NCAA tournament. |
03-02-21 |
Wake Forest +5 v. Pittsburgh | | 57-70 |
Loss | -111 | 4 h 9 m | Show |
Wake Forest has covered six of their last eight road games, while the Panthers have failed to cover 6 of their last eight home games. |
02-27-21 |
Alabama v. Mississippi State +6 | Top | 64-59 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 1 m | Show |
I like taking unranked home dogs in certain spots and that spot comes highly recommended in this match-up. Alabama can win an SEC title with a win, that's causing the public to go all-in with the Crimson Tide. They may win but it won't be easy. |
02-27-21 |
Florida State v. North Carolina +1.5 | | 70-78 |
Win | 100 | 3 h 8 m | Show |
This is one of those spots that Dana likes to jump on, especially when the number is right. Playing quality teams against ranked teams has been a profitable way to make money for years and it hasn't stopped this season. Carolina is fresh off a 45-pt win against Louisville but the public isn't putting much into that win. This is a must-win if they want to find their way into the NCAA Tournament. |
02-27-21 |
Oklahoma State +5.5 v. Oklahoma | | 94-90 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 25 m | Show |
This line is inflated and we're going to take advantage of the public's oversite. The next eight days will be huge for the Cowboys starting with this match-up against the #7 Sooners. |
02-27-21 |
LSU +6 v. Arkansas | Top | 75-83 |
Loss | -114 | 2 h 32 m | Show |
I like to find spots where I feel like we're getting a decent unranked team against a ranked team. This theory has produced 63% winners and has been a solid bet for over 15 years. The offense continues to score in bunches with the ability to pump in points inside and out, but the Tigers couldn’t hit from three or from the line against the Dawgs. Now, the defense isn’t going to be anything great, but as long as it’s able to keep hitting around 47% from the field, it’ll be fine – and that seems to be the deal. |
02-26-21 |
Nebraska-Omaha +2.5 v. Denver | Top | 80-76 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 19 m | Show |
This line is completely inflated and it's getting worse by the hour. We're going to take advantage of bookmakers mistakes by putting our trust in the Racers. Omaha is a solid and reliable underdog on the back of their rebounding and consistent shooting. They win the boards and win the game. |
02-25-21 |
UCLA -1 v. Utah | Top | 76-61 |
Win | 100 | 9 h 44 m | Show |
The Bruins are starting to get on a roll as they inch closer to that 20 win mark. Many think that this will be a game that will bite the Bruins, as we see a steam move on Utah. I don't like being on the side of these moves, but especially when I get a team that is starting to show glimpses of getting better. Don't be scared of the Bruins ATS success. |
02-25-21 |
Western Kentucky v. Houston -11 | | 57-81 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 51 m | Show |
This is a spot that has led me to play Houston. I want to make sure teams are playing well, but if they are, I take a Top 15 team against non-conference opponents. The theory behind it is, the top teams will looks at this game as a chance to limb in the rankings, which is what we have here. The Cougars were fantastic in their last outing against Cincinnati so there's no doubt we'll get their best effort here. |
02-24-21 |
DePaul v. Creighton -15 | Top | 53-77 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 27 m | Show |
This number isn't higher because the Blue Demons have been decent against the number despite their overall record, while the Jays have been not as dependable. This game will be different. Jays run away in the second half. |
02-24-21 |
Florida State v. Miami-FL +11.5 | Top | 88-71 |
Loss | -109 | 8 h 2 m | Show |
This is always a good spot to take the dog. Rivalry game when a ranked team plays an unranked team. You can figure that Miami will give its best effort and cover this inflated number. |
02-24-21 |
Tulane +10.5 v. Memphis | | 46-61 |
Loss | -110 | 8 h 40 m | Show |
Memphis resumed basketball activities on Saturday, and they will play their first game in over two weeks on Wednesday against Tulane. The Tigers haven't played a game since a seven-point win over East Carolina on February 6 due to COVID-19 protocols, so they are likely very eager to return to the floor but I think they layoff is too much to cover this big number. |
02-23-21 |
Kansas +2.5 v. Texas | | 72-75 |
Loss | -105 | 6 h 43 m | Show |
After getting beat by 25 in the first n=meeting, you would think the Jayhawks will be primed for revenge. Kansas (17–7, 11–5 Big 12) has moved past a mid-season slump and enter this contest on a five-game winning streak. Following a 91–79 loss, to No. 17 West Virginia on Feb. 6, the Jayhawks’ streak of 231 consecutive weeks being ranked in the AP Top 25 ended. Kansas responded with a 78–66 win against No. 23 Oklahoma State as 6.5-point favorites at home on Feb. 8. The Jayhawks head to Texas following a 67–61 win at home against No. 15 Texas Tech as 2-point favorites in their last game on Saturday. |
12-21-20 |
New Mexico v. Boise State -10 | Top | 53-77 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 30 m | Show |
Lobos are 14-30 ATS in their last 44 road games. In addition, the Lobos are 6-13 ATS in their last 19 games as a road underdog. |
12-21-20 |
Arkansas-Little Rock +1 v. Missouri State | | 77-85 |
Loss | -110 | 8 h 58 m | Show |
Missouri State are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games against an opponent in the Sun Belt conference. |
