Marlins v. Pirates +132 | Top | 7-8 |
Win | 132 | 7 h 10 m | Show |
The Marlins better stop it soon before they fall too many games out of first place in the NL East where they’re currently 24-32 and now 6.5 games behind the first-place Mets. Losing seven in a row and eight of your last 10 ball games isn’t helping matters for a team that can’t seem to get it done on the road where they’re now 12-19 and only batting .221 as a team. Even worse is that the Marlins are only averaging .193 at the plate in day games and are second-last in the Majors in home runs per game (0.91). I have no idea why Miami is a -150 road favorite but we'll take the plus money with the Pirates who seem to be much better with Hayes in the line-up. |
06-04-21 |
A's -130 v. Rockies | Top | 9-5 |
Win | 100 | 14 h 47 m | Show |
Colorado’s pitching ranks near the bottom of the league. Opponents have a .255 batting average against the Rockies, which is 27th in the league. Their 4.65 ERA is 24th, while their 1.41 WHIP is 29th. In his last start, Gray gave up four hits and three runs in three innings, leading to a 7-0 loss to Pittsburgh. |
06-04-21 |
Reds +124 v. Cardinals | Top | 6-4 |
Win | 124 | 14 h 33 m | Show |
Kim is 1-3 with a 3.65 ERA over eight starts this season and sported a feasible 3.86 ERA in May over five starts. A bit concerning, however, is that over his last two starts he’s given up seven earned runs over 10.2 innings which amounts to a 6.18 ERA. |
06-04-21 |
Marlins v. Pirates +104 | | 2-9 |
Win | 104 | 12 h 26 m | Show |
The Pirates got an offensive and defensive lift last night as rookie sensation Ke’Bryan Hayes returned from a stint on the 60-day IL. He went 2-for-3 with an infield single and a triple. Hayes also made a couple of run-saving plays in the field, which proved crucial in the game. Let's bet that Haynes gives the Buc's an added offensive lift. |
06-04-21 |
Nationals +101 v. Phillies | | 2-1 |
Win | 101 | 12 h 19 m | Show |
Philadelphia has been hit with an injury bug as Bryce Harper, Didi Gregorius, Scott Kingery, Matt Moore, Roman Quinn, and JoJo Romero are all out. I'm more than happy to take the plus money and Scherzer. |
06-03-21 |
Cubs +125 v. Giants | Top | 2-7 |
Loss | -100 | 14 h 1 m | Show |
So far this season, the Cubs are a perfect 6-0 against two of the division’s top dogs as they swept both the Dodgers and Padres in three-game series. Currently sitting on a 32-23 overall record, Chicago has catapulted itself into first place by fielding a 19-8 record in May and winning nine of their last 10 ball games. They’ve stepped it up big on offense where they went from hitting .216 in April followed by a huge leap in May where they hit .262. On the year, Chicago’s 1.29 home runs per game rank seventh in the Majors. |
06-03-21 |
Rangers +106 v. Rockies | | 6-11 |
Loss | -100 | 8 h 30 m | Show |
The Texas Rangers will be going with Mike Foltynewicz as the starter for this game following a terrible beginning to the 2021 campaign. So far this season, he has a 1-5 record along with a 4.31 ERA. On the bright side, he also has a 3.00 ERA in day games as he has looked significantly better with earlier start times. |
06-02-21 |
Red Sox +132 v. Astros | | 1-2 |
Loss | -100 | 13 h 52 m | Show |
Until losing the series opener 11-2 to Houston, Boston had won seven of their previous nine games although their record in May (15-11) wasn’t quite as good as it was in April (17-10). The Red Sox will try to attack Valdez as they’re batting .272 against left-handers this season. Pivetta has been one of Boston’s best pitchers this season as he’s gone a perfect 6-0 through 10 starts this season and sports a 3.67 ERA. |
06-02-21 |
Marlins +134 v. Blue Jays | Top | 5-6 |
Loss | -100 | 12 h 53 m | Show |
Pablo Lopez has had an excellent beginning to his season according to his Baseball Savant page as he is in the 91st percentile in average exit velocity, 92nd percentile in hard-hit percentage, 81st percentile in chase rate, and 70th percentile in xERA. His 85.5 MPH exit velocity is the lowest of his career. Lopez has a five-pitch arsenal (changeup, fastball, sinker, cutter, curveball) and his fastball has been his best pitch as it has a .169 batting average. |
06-01-21 |
Rangers +104 v. Rockies | Top | 2-3 |
Loss | -100 | 14 h 38 m | Show |
No surprise that pitching has been the issue for Colorado only ranking 26th in the Majors in team ERA. The Rangers will put an end to their 12-game road losing streak. |
06-01-21 |
Nationals +125 v. Braves | Top | 11-6 |
Win | 125 | 12 h 6 m | Show |
Max Fried has been a marginal pitcher so far this season according to his Baseball Savant page. He is in the 92nd percentile in average exit velocity, 72nd percentile in hard-hit percentage, 64th percentile in barrel percentage, and 41st percentile in whiff percentage. His 6.7 barrel percentage is the highest of his career. Fried relies on five pitches (fastball, slider, curveball, sinker, changeup)and his fastball needs some attention as it has a .321 batting average against a .528 slugging percentage. He already pitched twice against the Nationals and he is 1-0 in seven innings as he allowed six runs on 12 hits with a pair of walks and nine strikeouts. We're backing the Nats and the plus money in this match-up. |
06-01-21 |
Phillies +100 v. Reds | | 17-3 |
Win | 100 | 12 h 15 m | Show |
For some reason the Cincinnati Reds have been horrible in the second game of most series, dropping 21 of their last 28. The public looks to be all over the Reds in this one but I'll take Nola to help the Phillies bounce back nicely in the second of three. |
06-01-21 |
White Sox v. Indians -140 | Top | 5-6 |
Win | 100 | 11 h 20 m | Show |
Shane Bieber will make his 12th start of the season tonight for the Indians and is looking for his second straight win after allowing just one earned run and one hit against Detroit in his last outing. He struck out 12 and walked four, and had a no-hitter until the seventh inning when Jonathan Schoop hit a home run for Detroit. Opponents have batted .221 against the right-hander, with a .333 BABIP and a 43.2% hard-hit rate. Bieber has already seen the White Sox twice this season. He is 2-0 against the league leaders, having allowed just three runs and 10 hits in 15 innings while striking out 22 batters. |
05-31-21 |
A's v. Mariners +115 | Top | 5-6 |
Win | 115 | 6 h 48 m | Show |
This looks easy. James Kapreilian was dominant in his last start against the Mariners, giving up just two hits in seven innings against the Mariners Logan Gilbert brings in an ERA that is closer to eight than seven. With all that, the A's are just -130 on the road. This smells like a trap, so let's take the plus money with the home team. |
05-31-21 |
Red Sox -111 v. Astros | Top | 2-11 |
Loss | -111 | 5 h 11 m | Show |
The Astros prevented the sweep from the San Diego Padres with a 7-4 win in the previous game on Sunday. They are now 28-24 for the season but have lost six of their last eight games. RHP José Urquidy (3-2, 3.22 ERA) has finally left the injured list and will start on Monday against the Red Sox. His previous game was on May 12, a game he left early due to discomfort in his shoulder. |
05-31-21 |
Angels +136 v. Giants | Top | 1-6 |
Loss | -100 | 5 h 25 m | Show |
The poor record for the Angels is a result of having MLB's worst pitching staff, but they held Oakland to two total runs over their last two games to pick up a couple of wins. This is a perfect let-down spot for the Giants after taking three of four from the Dodgers. |
05-30-21 |
Angels +125 v. A's | | 4-2 |
Win | 125 | 2 h 23 m | Show |
Cole Irvin gave up 10 hits in 4 2/3 innings while giving up four runs in a loss to the Mariners in his last start on Tuesday. Irvin walked one and only struck out two. He gave up a pair of RBI singles with two outs in the first, and then two more runs in the fourth before being pulled in the fifth. This makes back-to-back bad performances for the southpaw, as he's allowed nine runs in his last 9 2/3 innings. |
05-27-21 |
Cardinals v. Diamondbacks -105 | Top | 5-4 |
Loss | -105 | 9 h 58 m | Show |
This number looks a little odd to me, so I;m getting on board with the Diamondbacks after the cardinals just finished series against the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs. It will take a game for the cardinals to focus in on Arizona on the road. |
05-27-21 |
Reds +117 v. Nationals | Top | 3-0 |
Win | 117 | 6 h 14 m | Show |
The Reds, for whatever reason, have always give Stepehn Strasburg trouble. Cincinnati hasn't had a great month, a fact constantly piinted out, but it's not like the Nationals have become a reliable wager either. Expect Strasburg to go into the 6th at best so this will come down to pens. |
05-24-21 |
Rays v. Blue Jays -100 | | 14-8 |
Loss | -100 | 1 h 35 m | Show |
As a team, the Blue Jays have slashed .311/.379/.531 with eight homers, 35 RBI, 22 walks, and 55 strikeouts over the past seven days. Against lefties, the Jays have slashed .258/.330/.441 with 13 homers and 46 RBI in nine games. At “home”, Toronto has hit .278/.356/.487 with 31 home runs and 105 RBI in 19 games. Despite the three losses against the Rays, you'll get the Rays best effort this afternoon. |
05-23-21 |
A's v. Angels +107 | Top | 5-6 |
Win | 107 | 1 h 29 m | Show |
Not much has been going right for the Angels this season, but they have played well in that Sunday get-out game of late. Let's take a chance with the Angels getting plus money. |
05-22-21 |
Diamondbacks -114 v. Rockies | Top | 6-7 |
Loss | -114 | 3 h 28 m | Show |
The Rockies bullpen is 5-11 with five saves, an ERA of 5.60, and a 1.594 WHIP in 149.1 innings. The relief corps has combined to allow 93 earned runs and 162 hits with walking 76 and striking out 141 batters. Neither of these starters will finish todays game so we have to look at the pens. I'll take the Diamondbacks. |
05-21-21 |
Twins v. Indians -125 | | 10-0 |
Loss | -125 | 5 h 15 m | Show |
The Indians have owned the AL Central with 20 wins in their last 28 games, while the Twins have lost six of their last seven against the Central. Baseball is a game of trends and the trends don't favor Minnesota. |
05-20-21 |
Yankees -109 v. Rangers | Top | 2-0 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 47 m | Show |
At 23-19, the Yankees might be in 4th place in the division but with only one game separating them from second place (and a game and a half from first), they’re pushing to take that first spot from Boston. It’s for good reason too since their play of late has gotten them to this point, going 7-3 over their last 10 and they’ve had a terrific month of May so far, going 12-5 through 17 games thus far. |
05-19-21 |
Tigers v. Mariners -142 | | 6-2 |
Loss | -142 | 11 h 30 m | Show |
Detroit has also struggled mightily against the spread at 18-24, and is down on the money line despite being a huge underdog in the majority of games this season. Overs are 17-24-1 for the Tigers, with six of their last seven games going under the betting total. Heading into Tuesday's action, the Tigers rank at the bottom of the MLB leaderboard with 3.48 runs per game and a 0.646 OPS as a team. Detroit pitching ranks 27th with a 4.85 collective ERA, and the bullpen has been the worst in baseball by a significant amount with a mark of 6.13. Mariners bounce back in this one. |
05-19-21 |
Astros -114 v. A's | Top | 8-1 |
Win | 100 | 10 h 56 m | Show |
Heading into Tuesday's action, the Astros are among the MLB leaders with 5,4 runs per game and a 0.765 OPS as a team. Houston pitching ranks just outside the top 10 with a 3.78 collective ERA, led by a mark of 3.63 from the starting rotation. Zack Greinke will start the second game of the series against the Astros after turning in a nice bounce-back performance in a win over the Rangers last Friday, allowing three runs on seven hits in seven innings while striking out five. The future Hall of Famer has been up and down this season, resulting in a 3-1 record and 4.18 ERA in nine starts. After missing most of last season, Alvarez has returned to lead the Houston offense with a 0.974 OPS, seven homers, and 24 RBI. |
05-09-21 |
Rays +108 v. A's | Top | 4-3 |
Win | 108 | 4 h 52 m | Show |
Shane McClanahan is the number four prospect in the Rays system and has struggled to miss barrels this season according to his Baseball Savant page. He has a 10.5 barrel percentage and a 95.6 MPH exit velocity, which need to drop if he wants to be a successful MLB pitcher. He throws four pitches (slider, fastball, changeup, curveball) and his slider has been filthy this season. Hitters are hitting .083 against it and have gotten eight of his 10 strikeouts this season on it. He already pitched against the Athletics once this season and it was his MLB debut. He threw four innings and allowed two runs on five hits with zero walks and a handful of strikeouts. |
05-09-21 |
Mariners v. Rangers -135 | | 2-10 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 23 m | Show |
Something good is happening with the Rangers at the moment. It is something that was hard to foresee just two weeks ago when they were last in the AL West with a 9-14 record after their April 26th loss to the Angels. Fast forward 13 games later and Texas is now 17-18 after Saturday’s come-from-behind win and have won seven of 10 and eight of their last 12. They’ve also moved ahead of Los Angeles in the standings, now sitting in fourth place and only a game behind Houston for third. |
05-09-21 |
Rockies v. Cardinals -150 | | 0-2 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 9 m | Show |
The Rockies are just 12-40 in their last 52 visits to St. Louis and 19-46 overall. |
05-09-21 |
Brewers v. Marlins -136 | Top | 2-1 |
Loss | -136 | 1 h 9 m | Show |
The Milwaukee Brewers are free falling. Milwaukee has lost six of seven after finally getting a win last night in game two of the series. Milwaukee has dropped from first place to second two games behind current leaders the St. Louis Cardinals. Milwaukee's struggles at the plate continue as the Brewers are 27th in baseball in team batting average and 25th in runs scored. |
05-09-21 |
Red Sox -135 v. Orioles | Top | 4-3 |
Win | 100 | 1 h 55 m | Show |
Boston's season started in ominous fashion as it was swept by the Orioles in three games, but the Red Sox are 21-10 since as they beat the Orioles for the fifth straight time on Saturday night. The blowout was on by the end of the fourth inning as the Red Sox led 9-2, highlighted by Michael Chavis hitting a two-run shot after just being called up and Bobby Dalbec chipping in a two-RBI single, with Xander Bogaerts later going deep. |
05-08-21 |
Reds v. Indians -118 | Top | 2-9 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 22 m | Show |
Cleveland heads into the matchup fresh off a dominant performance by Zach Plesac. Plesac pitched eight innings, giving up zero runs on three hits with seven strikeouts against Cincinnati. Nice revenge spot for the Indians. |
05-06-21 |
Diamondbacks +123 v. Marlins | Top | 1-3 |
Loss | -100 | 5 h 11 m | Show |
The Arizona Diamondbacks surprisingly been having one of the better hitting batteries in all of the league because of catcher Carson Kelly. He is doing incredibly well as he is hitting .333 and has a 1.142 OPS with six homers and 17 RBI. He is slugging well and not striking out in his last week of games as he is 7-for-23 with two walks and two strikeouts. If he can continue being a great hitter, it will be difficult to stop them. |
05-06-21 |
Braves v. Nationals -101 | | 3-2 |
Loss | -101 | 3 h 39 m | Show |
All eyes are squarely on Drew Smyly as he’ll be taking the mound as today’s starter for the Braves. Simply put, he absolutely has to get going because he’s gone from being unlucky in his first start of the season to being just plain dreadful in his most recent start. He’s already given up seven more home runs (9 home runs allowed so far) over four starts this season than he did over seven starts (2 home runs allowed) in 2020, so obviously the key is to find a way to keep the Nationals inside of the ballpark. |
05-06-21 |
Indians +126 v. Royals | Top | 4-0 |
Win | 126 | 1 h 49 m | Show |
We're starting to see some cracks with the Kansas City Royals as they carry a four-game losing streak into this match-up. They have also lost five straight to the Indians in Kansas City and four straight overall. |
05-05-21 |
Blue Jays +113 v. A's | Top | 9-4 |
Win | 113 | 7 h 4 m | Show |
Athletics get the win last night but I still won't back a team whose hitting just .212 over their last 10 games. |
05-05-21 |
Rays +112 v. Angels | Top | 3-1 |
Win | 112 | 7 h 10 m | Show |
The Rays are 30-11 in their last 41 games in Los Angeles and 16-5 overall. The Angels are just 1-9 in games where there is a perceived pitcher dual. |
05-05-21 |
Astros v. Yankees -135 | | 3-6 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 46 m | Show |
For the Astros, this trip is the equivalent of ripping off the band-aid. They were going to get this kind of reception in the Bronx where it was going to be the most intimidating place to play outside of Los Angeles — as Dodgers fans still some grievances to air after losing the 2017 World Series to Houston. Perhaps this is the eries to wake the Yankees up. |
05-05-21 |
Brewers -128 v. Phillies | Top | 4-5 |
Loss | -128 | 5 h 1 m | Show |
The Brewers have been excellent against the spread at 18-12, and are up a solid amount on the money line as they have exceeded expectations. I'm on them to bounce back today after two 1-run losses to start the series. |
05-05-21 |
Mets v. Cardinals -103 | Top | 1-4 |
Win | 100 | 3 h 4 m | Show |
Many Mets players were caught off guard with the firing of hitting coach Chili Davis, with Francisco Lindor acknowledging that if he were hitting the ball better, Davis would probably still be the hitting coach. The Mets are just not a very good team right now and until that view changes, I'll take the cardinals who are finding their stride. |
05-05-21 |
Orioles +102 v. Mariners | | 6-0 |
Win | 102 | 2 h 32 m | Show |
The Oriole had plenty of chances to beat down the Seattle Mariners last night but could never get a clutch hit. However, the chances were there enough for me to take the plus money in this match-up. We need the Orioles bullpen to step up today to give us a winner. |
05-04-21 |
White Sox -110 v. Reds | Top | 9-0 |
Win | 100 | 12 h 21 m | Show |
White Sox: 7-3, .279 batting average, 3.56 ERA, outscored opponents by 17 runs. This number is a little more than I thought it would but still an easy winner. |
05-02-21 |
Rockies v. Diamondbacks -141 | Top | 4-8 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 6 m | Show |
Nice win for the Rockies yesterday but that doesn't mean we can forget about their recent stuggles, especially against Arizona losing five of their last seven meetings. Dating back to last season, the Rockies are just 24-56 on the road and we know they didn't improve over last season. |
05-01-21 |
Royals v. Twins -130 | Top | 11-3 |
Loss | -130 | 5 h 41 m | Show |
The Minnesota Twins have depended on the power stroke from their lineup to produce most of their runs in the past few seasons and look like they are heading down the same road once again. They have a lot of pop in their lineup and none more than designated hitter Nelson Cruz. He has been hot in his last week of play as he has a .321/.345/.714 slash line in that span. On the season, he is 25-for-74 with seven homers and 18 RBI. The 40-year old is getting some great swings and is making the most of it and that should help the Minnesota Twins get back to where they are expected to be. |
04-29-21 |
Phillies -119 v. Cardinals | | 3-4 |
Loss | -119 | 7 h 30 m | Show |
This should be an interesting finale' after Wednesday's game turned ugly after Bryce Harper was hit in the face and sent to the hospital. Things continued to get heated in the eighth when Phillies reliever Sam Coonrod shouted towards the Cardinals dugout after getting three important outs. This may be what wakes the Phillies up after a dismal start. |
04-29-21 |
A's -109 v. Rays | Top | 3-2 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 30 m | Show |
It's hard to go against a team that has won 14 of 17 games and is 44-15 against left-handed starters last 59. |
04-28-21 |
Cubs v. Braves -129 | Top | 0-10 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 22 m | Show |
The Braves, who managed only one hit and no runs in a doubleheader sweep by Arizona on Sunday, have totaled 13 runs in winning the first two games against Chicago. |
04-27-21 |
Phillies v. Cardinals -102 | Top | 2-5 |
Win | 100 | 12 h 18 m | Show |
Martinez did make progress in his last start, pitching six innings and only allowing one run in a 1-0 nothing loss last Wednesday. |
04-26-21 |
Twins -120 v. Indians | Top | 3-5 |
Loss | -120 | 15 h 57 m | Show |
The Minnesota Twins will be going with Jose Berrios as the starter for this game which should make fans a bit excited due to his performances in 2021. So far this season, he has a 2-2 record along with a 3.00 ERA. In addition, he has a 0.82 ERA on the road as he has looked even better in opposing ballparks. |
04-25-21 |
Padres v. Dodgers -119 | | 8-7 |
Loss | -119 | 10 h 21 m | Show |
After San Diego pulled off two upsets to begin the series, the Dodgers got on the board on Saturday night with a 5-4 win as a -149 favorite. Los Angeles has the best record in the Majors at 15-6, while the Padres are off to an uneven start at 12-13. These teams met last week in San Diego, with the Dodgers taking two of three. Los Angeles won the head-to-head matchup 9-4 last season, including a three-game sweep in the NLDS. |
04-25-21 |
Phillies +103 v. Rockies | Top | 2-12 |
Loss | -100 | 7 h 31 m | Show |
The Colorado Rockies have a 7-12 record to begin 2021. They had a memorable offseason but not for the right reasons as they traded away franchise third baseman Nolan Arenado to the St Louis Cardinals and talks are brewing about a potential Trevor Story trade as well. They will be having righty Jon Gray on the mound. He picked up a win in his last start against the Houston Astros and pitched 6.2 innings with a run on three hits with four walks and six strikeouts, but he's not a pitcher I will lay my money on consistently. |
04-25-21 |
Yankees -119 v. Indians | | 3-7 |
Loss | -119 | 5 h 36 m | Show |
The Indians are 4-5 on their home turf. Cleveland ranks last in the MLB in hitting with a .202 batting average |
04-25-21 |
Royals -114 v. Tigers | Top | 4-0 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 39 m | Show |
The Royals will start left-handed pitcher Danny Duffy (2-1, 0.50 ERA) in the series finale against Detroit. Duffy has a 2.71 FIP and a 1.111 WHIP. In 18 innings over three starts, he has allowed three earned runs (1 HR) and 14 hits. He has recorded six walks and 19 strikeouts. His last start came against Tampa Bay when he allowed just four hits over six innings. He walked two and struck out eight, but ended up the hard-luck loser courtesy of two unearned runs in the loss. The Royals bullpen has a record of 5-1 with six saves, an ERA of 4.54, and a 1.405 WHIP in 73.1 innings. The relief corps has combined to allow 37 earned runs and 69 hits with walking 34 and striking out 74 hitters. |
04-24-21 |
Reds v. Cardinals -119 | Top | 0-2 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 22 m | Show |
Wade Miley lost his only start against the Cardinals last season while allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks over five innings. Miley is 3-4 with a 4.03 ERA in eight career starts against them. |
04-19-21 |
Dodgers -192 v. Mariners | | 3-4 |
Loss | -192 | 12 h 36 m | Show |
The best part about coming off a big series like the Dodgers just did against the Padres, is that they lost on Sunday which likely doesn't sit well with LA. Unlike San Diego, we won't see a team who is going through a let down. |
04-19-21 |
Brewers v. Padres -145 | Top | 3-1 |
Loss | -145 | 10 h 26 m | Show |
Musgrove this season has allowed one run on seven hits, with two walks, a hit batter and 24 strikeouts in 19 innings. Woodruff has allowed four runs on 10 hits and three walks with 19 strikeouts in 17 innings. |
04-19-21 |
Giants v. Phillies +100 | | 2-0 |
Loss | -100 | 8 h 52 m | Show |
The Philadelphia Phillies will be going with Chase Anderson as the starter for this game following two decent performances in 2021. So far this season, he has a 0-1 record along with a 4.00 ERA. In addition, he has a 3.60 ERA at home as he has looked a bit better at Citizens Bank Park. |
04-19-21 |
Cardinals -110 v. Nationals | | 12-5 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 9 m | Show |
Washington is struggling to string together wins. Their two wins in a row during the Arizona series were the first back-to-back wins all season, albeit through 13 games. One silver lining here is that ever since their six game losing streak, the Nationals have gone 4-3, so they’re showing some signs of life. Their pitching has not been up to par with the exception of Ross and Max Scherzer, giving up 5.04 runs per game, which ranks 24th in the league. Washington is also allowing 1.65 home runs per game so far, making them second to last in that category. |

Braves -113 v. Cubs | | 4-13 |
Loss | -113 | 1 h 36 m | Show |
The Braves went 16-14 on the road in 2020. Atlanta averaged 9.3 hits per game last year and totaled 103 home runs as a team. |
04-17-21 |
Rays -101 v. Yankees | Top | 6-3 |
Win | 100 | 1 h 45 m | Show |
Let's sit back and see how the Yankees respond after getting their lunch handed to them last night. The fans were not happy and neither was Aaron Boone. This game will tell you a lot about both teams. |
04-15-21 |
Mariners v. Orioles -134 | Top | 2-1 |
Loss | -134 | 3 h 42 m | Show |
Gonzales, who has started the past three Opening Days for the Mariners, has allowed five or more runs in both of his starts, something he did only once in 11 starts in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. |
04-15-21 |
Red Sox v. Twins -117 | Top | 3-4 |
Win | 100 | 1 h 47 m | Show |
Garrett Richards (0-1 10.29 ERA 2.14 WHIP) is scheduled to go in this series finale and look for his first win for the Red Sox after spending last season with the San Diego Padres. He was lit up in his first start for the Red Sox only lasting two innings where he gave up six runs on five hits in a loss. Richards was better in his last outing where he took a no-decision giving up two runs, on two solo HR’s, in five innings only giving up three hits in a 6-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles. He has not faced the Twins since the 2018 season while a member of the L.A. Angels. |
04-14-21 |
Red Sox v. Twins -140 | Top | 3-2 |
Loss | -140 | 2 h 53 m | Show |
Berrios, who struck out 12 while throwing six no-hit innings in his season debut at Milwaukee, followed that up with eight more strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings while allowing two runs on five hits in a 10-2 win over Seattle on Thursday. |
04-11-21 |
Padres -156 v. Rangers | | 2-0 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 53 m | Show |
San Diego’s pitching has been better than the team’s offense. Opponents have a .179 batting average against the Padres, which is third in the league. Their 1.73 ERA is first, as is their 0.88 WHIP. In his last starts, Morejon gave up five hits and two runs in four innings, leading to a 3-2 loss to San Francisco. They will need a better performance from him if they want to win this game. |
04-11-21 |
Mariners v. Twins -178 | | 8-6 |
Loss | -178 | 2 h 36 m | Show |
Minnesota took two of three at both Milwaukee and Detroit to open the season and then won Thursday's home opener with Seattle, 10-2. But the Mariners evened the series with a 4-3 victory in 10 innings on Saturday afternoon with Mitch Haniger, who homered earlier, driving in the winning run with a sacrifice fly. That dropped the Twins to 0-3 in extra-inning games this season. Minnesota is 5-0 in regulation contests. |
04-11-21 |
Tigers v. Indians -163 | Top | 2-5 |
Win | 100 | 1 h 40 m | Show |
Things have not gone to plan in the first two games of the Detroit Tigers’ road series against the Cleveland Indians. They dropped Saturday night’s tilt by a score of 11-3 after another paltry performance both on the mound and at bat. There is no way to sugarcoat the fact that this team is not inspiring much confidence at the moment, as the Tribe crossed home plate in six of the eight innings they batted and prevented the visitors from scratching the scoreboard until the seventh. |
04-08-21 |
A's +135 v. Astros | | 2-6 |
Loss | -100 | 10 h 33 m | Show |
Baseball is about streaks, so let's see if we can get a plus money winner with the Oakland Athletics after winning their first game of the season against the Dodgers. |
04-08-21 |
Diamondbacks +117 v. Rockies | Top | 3-7 |
Loss | -100 | 4 h 15 m | Show |
The Diamondbacks are needing to get some production from the plate and it begins with center fielder Ketel Marte. He finished 2020 with a .287/.323/.732 slashline with two homers and 17 RBI in 45 games. He is 12-for-23 with two homers and five RBI in five games this season so he is coming into the season on a great foot. If he can continue to lead and start the season off right, they will be in a lot of close games. |
04-08-21 |
Cubs v. Pirates +136 | Top | 4-2 |
Loss | -100 | 3 h 3 m | Show |
We're not going to make a living betting the Pittsburgh Pirates but they're getting their second look at Arietta and it's their home opener. Hopefully, there's some inspiration in there but we'll take the plus money. |
04-08-21 |
Marlins v. Mets -177 | | 2-3 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 0 m | Show |
It’s a quick turnaround for the Fish who didn’t arrive in New York until after midnight |
04-07-21 |
White Sox -155 v. Mariners | | 4-8 |
Loss | -155 | 5 h 31 m | Show |
The White Sox are set to start lefty Dallas Keuchel (0-0, 6.75), who is 9-8 with a 3.25 ERA in 20 career appearances against Seattle. Let's take the Sox again after the Mariners were pounded last night. |
04-07-21 |
Cardinals v. Marlins +105 | Top | 7-0 |
Loss | -100 | 4 h 17 m | Show |
The Cardinals have dominated historically and this series has been no different. We're getting a small plus price here and Jack Flaherty was anything but impressive in his first start. |
04-07-21 |
Mets +135 v. Phillies | Top | 2-8 |
Loss | -100 | 4 h 20 m | Show |
Much has been made about how good the Phillies bullpen has performed this season but that's because they were that bad last season. I'm still not convinced that they have turned the corner, take the Mets to take the game and series. |
04-07-21 |
Braves +131 v. Nationals | | 2-0 |
Win | 131 | 4 h 56 m | Show |
In Philadelphia, Atlanta’s pitching did well, but the offense struggled. Yesterday, the offense came alive a bit, but two bad pitches from Drew Smyly (who otherwise had a very encouraging debut for Atlanta) plus a bad bullpen day squandered the lead multiple times, and eventually the game itself. When one area of the team has performed well, the other has not been able to do the same to find a winning balance. |
04-06-21 |
White Sox -142 v. Mariners | Top | 10-4 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 48 m | Show |
The White Sox have won 20 of 26 against left-handed starters. I'll go with that trend tonight. |
04-06-21 |
Blue Jays -127 v. Rangers | Top | 4-7 |
Loss | -127 | 5 h 28 m | Show |
Toronto is 11-4 in their last 15 games as a road favorite. I'll go with the Jays who may be a little underrated to start the season. |
04-06-21 |
Cardinals +116 v. Marlins | | 4-2 |
Win | 116 | 4 h 53 m | Show |
The Cardinals have owned the Marlins over the last 54 meetings in Florida, winning 38 of them. I'll be more than happy to ride them again with the plus money. |
04-05-21 |
Giants v. Padres -149 | Top | 3-2 |
Loss | -149 | 8 h 14 m | Show |
The Padres have the Giants number dating back to last season and they're better this season. Expect the Padres to improve on their 7-1 current streak against the Giants, including four straight. |
04-05-21 |
Astros +108 v. Angels | | 6-7 |
Loss | -100 | 8 h 4 m | Show |
The Houston Astros will visit the Los Angeles Angels for a two-game series starting Monday night in Anaheim, Calif., boasting an offense that is hotter than any other in the majors. They scored 35 runs during a four-game sweep of the Oakland A’s, and became just the fourth team in major league history to score at least eight runs in their first four games to start the season. I'll take the generous plus money. |
04-05-21 |
Rays -105 v. Red Sox | | 2-11 |
Loss | -105 | 5 h 11 m | Show |
Wacha generally isn’t going to miss a ton of bats — he did strike out over a batter per inning last year, but that is not in line with his career norms — but when he has good command he can be frustrating. The Rays, as most know, have a tendency to get the most out of those kinds of pitchers. Last year Wacha typically worked with a fastball that sits around 93 as well as a changeup (his best pitch) and a cutter. |
04-05-21 |
Pirates v. Reds -148 | | 3-5 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 32 m | Show |
There are very few times Ill be backing the Pirates this season, especially with Ke'Bryan Hayes out of the line-up. With Colin Moran being their best power option this is a Pirates line-up that will struggle to score runs. |
04-05-21 |
Cardinals +106 v. Marlins | Top | 4-1 |
Win | 106 | 5 h 1 m | Show |
The Cardinals were an excellent road team in 2020 so let's take the plus money against the Marlins who still have to prove themselves to me before I back them with any regularity. |
04-04-21 |
Astros v. A's -105 | Top | 9-2 |
Loss | -105 | 5 h 13 m | Show |
Astros are 4-12 in their last 16 after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game. It's early in the season but this is agame the Athletics need. |
04-04-21 |
Pirates v. Cubs -175 | Top | 3-4 |
Win | 100 | 3 h 15 m | Show |
Ke'Bryan Hayes will be out of the Pirates line-up. We usually don't want to lay this kind of price but I'm more than confident that the Cubs will cash a easy winner. |
04-03-21 |
Braves v. Phillies +106 | | 0-4 |
Win | 106 | 5 h 44 m | Show |
The Philadelphia Phillies made upgrading the bullpen a priority in the offseason – and those moves are already paying off. The Phillies look to build off their season-opening victory over Atlanta as they host the Braves in the second of a three-game series Saturday afternoon. Philadelphia got 3 1/3 scoreless innings from a quartet of relievers to give the lineup a chance to win, and it came through on Jean Segura's 10th-inning RBI single in a 3-2 triumph over Atlanta. |
04-01-21 |
Giants -109 v. Mariners | | 7-8 |
Loss | -109 | 7 h 28 m | Show |
The Giants fell one win shy of reaching the postseason last year, and their veteran core of Buster Posey, Brandon Crawford, Brandon Belt, and Johnny Cueto wants to make one more run as each player enters a contract year. |
03-10-21 |
Rangers v. Mariners -155 | Top | 17-5 |
Loss | -155 | 2 h 46 m | Show |
|
03-10-21 |
Reds v. Royals -135 | | 3-9 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 48 m | Show |
|
03-10-21 |
Brewers v. A's -132 | | 1-9 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 34 m | Show |
Jace Peterson will be back in the line-up for teh brewers but that doesn't move the meter in this one The Athletics are the right side here. |
03-10-21 |
Angels v. Indians -150 | Top | 4-2 |
Loss | -150 | 2 h 60 m | Show |
This is simply a matter of more Indian regulars in there against the Angeles who are going to run a lot of guys out there today to see if they can solve their weakness which is pitching. |
03-10-21 |
Cubs +101 v. Giants | Top | 6-7 |
Loss | -100 | 1 h 22 m | Show |
Alec Mills will start for the Cubs this afternoon. Other Cubs pitchers today: Brandon Workman, Andrew Chafin, Dan Winkler, Manuel Rodriguez, Gray Fenter, Robert Stock and Juan Gámez. Nick Tropeano will start for the Giants. Other San Francisco pitchers today: Jake McGee, Wandy Peralta, Jarlin Garcia, Dominic Leone, Sam Wolff, Camilo Doval and Sean Hjelle. |
03-09-21 |
Cardinals +160 v. Mets | Top | 3-5 |
Loss | -100 | 1 h 46 m | Show |
Taijuan Walker makes his Mets debut today! The Mets newest pitcher worked in 11 games last year totaling 53.1 innings with a 2.70 ERA, 1.163 WHIP, 4.56 FIP and 161 ERA+. Walker rounds out a good off-season for the Mets forcing an open competition for the last rotation spot that includes David Peterson. Walker will be followed by Edwin Diaz who had a super easy outing a few days ago where he threw only 7 pitches. Other key bullpen arms are on deck in Trevor May, Jeurys Famila, Miguel Castro and Drew Smith. Two of the more interesting pitchers in camp, Sam McWilliams and Ryley Gilliam will make their 2nd and 3rd appearance respectively and one of the more intriguing NRI’s, Tommy Hunter is slated to go to. Unsure if everyone will get in the game today but there’s a lot to look for as far as pitching is concerned. With that being said, guys like Walker will be working on things and will not be in midseason form. I'm not laying this kind of number. |
03-09-21 |
Red Sox +155 v. Rays | | 3-11 |
Loss | -100 | 1 h 51 m | Show |
Centerfielder Kevin Kiermaier is set to make his spring debut, set back at the start of camp due to hip tightness. Manager Kevin Cash talked this morning about what “a special defender” Kiermaier is, and how good the Rays outfield defense could be with the combinations of using Brett Phillips, Manuel Margot, Randy Arozarena, Austin Meadows and Yoshi Tsustugo.' Like I've said, I'm not laying big prices in Spring Training games unless I know for sure. I have a winner. |
03-09-21 |
Pirates v. Braves -170 | | 10-1 |
Loss | -170 | 1 h 33 m | Show |
The Braves will roll out most of their regulars on Tuesday with Ronald Acuna Jr. getting the start in center field. Abraham Almonte will get the start in right field with Jason Kipnis also in the lineup at DH. |
03-09-21 |
Yankees v. Tigers +155 | | 5-6 |
Win | 155 | 0 h 27 m | Show |
I will almost always take a generous plus price in the exhibition season. |
03-09-21 |
Orioles +152 v. Twins | Top | 0-1 |
Loss | -100 | 1 h 58 m | Show |
The Twins line-up looks as if they'll have regualars but I'm not laying this kind of price in exhibition. We've seen this in Spring Training were money is betting like it's the regular season. |
10-09-20 |
Yankees -149 v. Rays | | 1-2 |
Loss | -149 | 12 h 24 m | Show |
|
10-08-20 |
Rays v. Yankees -129 | Top | 1-5 |
Win | 100 | 15 h 53 m | Show |
The Yankees have scored 40 runs in their six postseason games, and Giancarlo Stanton has six homers and 13 RBIs in the postseason. In order to solidify this win the Yankees must start getting production from Aaron Judge, Luke Voit, and Gio Urshela who have been none existent in the series. Jordan Montgomery, who last pitched Sept. 24, will make his postseason debut after he went 2-3 with a 5.11 ERA in 10 regular-season starts. Montgomery allowed seven runs over his last two starts and also gave up four runs in two-thirds of an inning against Tampa Bay on Sept. 2, including homers by Arozarena and Brosseau. |
10-07-20 |
A's v. Astros -115 | Top | 9-7 |
Loss | -115 | 12 h 35 m | Show |
Oakland manager Bob Melvin delivered a bit of a surprise when he announced that left-hander Jesus Luzardo would get the start over right-hander Frankie Montas in the win-or-go-home contest. Luzardo has just 18 career major league outings in two seasons, with all nine of his regular-season starts coming this year. He started Game 1 of the wild-card series against the White Sox last week, giving up three runs on six hits over 3 1/3 innings. It was the only game the A's lost in the best-of-three series. |
09-23-20 |
Rockies +170 v. Giants | Top | 2-7 |
Loss | -100 | 15 h 21 m | Show |
Colorado has received solid starting pitching over the past three games, which is even more important since perennial Gold Glove third baseman Nolan Arenado went on the 10-day injured list Monday due to inflammation in his left AC joint. The job of filling his shoes has fallen to the versatile Ryan McMahon, who has played every infield position this year. The Giants are dealing with injuries of their own, with backup catcher Chadwick Tromp landed on the 10-day IL on Tuesday because of a right shoulder strain. San Francisco recalled Tyler Heineman from its alternative training site to serve as the backup to rookie Joey Bart. |
