Orioles +157 v. Red Sox | Top | 1-9 |
Loss | -100 | 13 h 30 m | Show |
Right-hander Nathan Eovaldi (3-2, 4.25 ERA) will look to keep the good times going as he takes the mound opposite Baltimore rookie right-hander Dean Kremer (1-0, 1.69) on Wednesday. Now officially eliminated from playoff contention, the Orioles (23-32) are similarly looking toward the future. Kremer, 24, is a big part of that as one of the team's top-10 prospects, and he's impressed through three starts so far, including holding the American League-best Tampa Bay Rays to one run on three hits over five innings last time out. |
09-23-20 |
Brewers +144 v. Reds | | 1-6 |
Loss | -100 | 13 h 53 m | Show |
Trevor Bauer (4-4, 1.80 ERA) will make this start not long after allowing two home runs over seven innings of a 5-0 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Saturday. Bauer is just 1-2 over his last four starts. The Brewers' Daniel Vogelbach had another hit and scored the tying run Tuesday. Since being claimed off waivers by Milwaukee on Sept. 3, Vogelbach is batting .395 with three home runs and 10 RBIs. He's also scored 10 times. |
09-23-20 |
Phillies v. Nationals +130 | Top | 12-3 |
Loss | -100 | 13 h 32 m | Show |
The Phillies were swept in a doubleheader Tuesday, 5-1 and 8-7 in eight innings, to fall to 27-29 and below the cut line for the postseason with four games remaining. Philadelphia has dropped four in a row. The latest defeat was particularly rough, with Brandon Workman allowing a walk-off, two-run home run to Yadiel Hernandez in the bottom of the eighth inning. The Philadelphia bullpen has scuffled all season |

White Sox v. Twins +120 | Top | 8-5 |
Loss | -100 | 5 h 7 m | Show |
Sox are just 7-19 against the Minnesota Twins over the last 26 games. |
08-31-20 |
Braves v. Red Sox +181 | | 6-3 |
Loss | -100 | 5 h 53 m | Show |
It seems as if the Braves are treading water a bit, good enough to win the National League East. Colton Brewer gets the start for the Red Sox, Brewer has bounced back and fourth between being a starter and working in the pen. I think we can catch the Braves napping and grab the generous price. |
08-31-20 |
Cardinals v. Reds -108 | Top | 7-5 |
Loss | -108 | 5 h 32 m | Show |
Before snapping a four game losing streak yesterday the Cardinals scored just six runs during the streak. Dakota Hudson will try for the fifth time to get his first win for the Cardinals. When on the mound, Hudson has been provided with just four runs in his four starts so the run support hasn't ben great. The Reds Eugenio Suarez is 6-for-13 with a double and two home runs versus Hudson, while teammate Jesse Winker is 4-for-10 against him. |
08-25-20 |
Mariners +180 v. Padres | Top | 8-3 |
Win | 180 | 6 h 18 m | Show |
The Mariners (11-19) record isn't impressive but they have played better of late, winning three straight and four of five. Over his last three starts, Padres starter Chris Paddack has been bit by the home run ball. Paddack has given up seven dingers in over 24 innings of work. Nine of the 15 runs given up by Paddack been via the home run. Take the Mariners +180 |
08-25-20 |
Royals +182 v. Cardinals | | 5-4 |
Win | 182 | 6 h 57 m | Show |
If you're going to get to Adam Wainwright you better do it early. We'll know early whether or not this game will give us a winner. He tends to leave pitches up early, then settles down to dominate. Matt Harvey has topped 95mph this season, he needs to use his fastball more. If he finds the fountain of youth the Dark Night will give us a nice plus money win. |
08-25-20 |
Pirates +220 v. White Sox | Top | 0-4 |
Loss | -100 | 6 h 18 m | Show |
I don't think people realize how good Steven Brault has thrown the ball this season, for that reason I'm more than willing to jump on this HUGE price with the Pirates who are playing their best baseball of the season. As a starter, Brault has yet to allow a run in 12 innings. he has given up just three hits in four starts. If Brault pitches well he could give the Pirates six strong. Lucas Giolito has been okay this season with 2-2 record to go with a 3.89era. Over his career, Giolito is just 2-7 with a 6.61era in interleague play. Take the Bucs. |
08-25-20 |
Twins +161 v. Indians | | 2-4 |
Loss | -100 | 6 h 27 m | Show |
The Minnesota Twins have taken four of five games against the Indians this season, hitting eight homers in that stretch. In yesterdays win against the Indians, the top hitters hitters in the Twins line-up were able to get at least one hit. Anytime I can get +161 with the Twins I'll be more than happy to take it. |
08-25-20 |
Red Sox +119 v. Blue Jays | Top | 9-7 |
Win | 119 | 6 h 17 m | Show |
Blue Jays starter, Chase Anderson, has been on a pitch count which has steadily increased. His numbers don't look bad initially, allowing just three runs in 9.2 innings. Dig a little deeper and you'll see that he's very fortunate. Anderson has allowed 10 hits, 3 walks, and two homers in his short time on the mound. Red Sox starter, Kyle Hart, has been thrown into the fire. his numbers are not of someone who you would run to back with your money but if you watched Hart you would know he's a kid with good command and a live arm. Of his 17 outs this season, none were via strikeout. In his last outing against the Phillies, Hart threw 3.2 innings, allowing two runs and two hits with five K's. Take the Plus money as Hart continues to improve. |
08-25-20 |
Angels +140 v. Astros | Top | 3-6 |
Loss | -100 | 1 h 51 m | Show |
I still can look at the Angels line-up and still get excited about the future. They have pieces that as good as anyone in baseball. If they can get pitching to match-up with what they can do offensively, they have a chance to make noise in the AL. Where the Angels fall short is the bottom of the line-up. Take the Angels and the pus money. |
08-24-20 |
Angels +145 v. Astros | Top | 4-11 |
Loss | -100 | 7 h 3 m | Show |
Hopefully the middle of the Angels line-up should get stronger if Shohei Ohtani can start to get hot after hitting a three run shot on Sunday. The Angels have played tough against the Astros this year, without the results. They managed to win one of the four games so far, but the last two did go to extra innings. Albert Pujols has 60 career homers against the Astros, the most against any team in his career. Alex Bregman will not play for the Astros. Take the plus money and the Angels in this one. |
08-24-20 |
Royals +161 v. Cardinals | | 3-9 |
Loss | -100 | 7 h 39 m | Show |
Royals starter, Brad Keller, is 3-0 with a 0.00era. His last start against the Reds was possibly his best after allowing just three singles in 6.2 innings with no runs allowed. Cardinals starter, Jack Flaherty, will likely be on another pitch count in his second start. He threw 41 pitches and didn't complete even two innings in his first outing. |
08-24-20 |
Twins v. Indians +108 | | 3-2 |
Loss | -100 | 6 h 57 m | Show |
With both teams bringing strong starting into this one you would think this one may go down to bullpens. The Twins lost reliever Tyler Clippard yesterday and will not be available. His loss may be the difference. |
08-24-20 |
Marlins v. Nationals -107 | | 11-8 |
Loss | -107 | 5 h 18 m | Show |
Miami starter, Pablo Lopez (2-1, 2.42era) has not had a lot of success against the Nationals in his career, going 0-2 with a 8.87era in five starts against Washington. At Washington, Lopez is 0-1, 11.57era in three starts. Marlin veteran and often injured catcher, Francisco Cervelli, will be out after he took yet another foul tip in his career. Corey Dickerson may also miss the game with a left shoulder injury. Dickerson has a 8-game hit streak but like Cervelli, is inured all the time. He's homered in two straight games. Take the Nationals in this one. |
08-23-20 |
Phillies -105 v. Braves | Top | 5-4 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 22 m | Show |
We remember what happened earl in the season when Robbie Erlin faced the Phillies, he allowed four runs, three homers, in just 2.2 innings. Take the Phillies and the small price. |
08-23-20 |
Angels +122 v. A's | | 4-5 |
Loss | -100 | 3 h 19 m | Show |
Despite the Angels poor record (8-18) Dylan Bundy has pitched well enough this season to earn a 3-2 record with a sparkling 2.48 era. He is coming off a bad start but that doesn't mean Im jumping off, in fact, it makes me like the play more. It wasn't like he was hit hard, Bundy simply lacked command unlike Athletics starter, Frankie Montas, who was tagged for nine runs against the Diamondbacks in his last start. I'm more than happy to take the plus money in this one. |
08-23-20 |
Astros v. Padres +108 | | 3-5 |
Win | 108 | 3 h 45 m | Show |
This may be the best Padre team in the history of their franchise. On Thursday the Padres became the first team to hit a grand slam in four straight games. In all they've hit five in their last six games. The Padres have hot 54 homers in just 29 games and have won six straight. I'm more than happy to take this generous plus money money price. |
08-23-20 |
Twins v. Royals +138 | Top | 5-4 |
Loss | -100 | 2 h 37 m | Show |
The Twins won on Saturday but that still means they've lost five of their last six games at Kansas City. despite the loss, KC is still getting production from the bottom of their line-up after collecting another four hits in the loss. Alex Gordan was 2-3 with a homer from the 7th spot. he's now on a 5-15 streak in his last 5 games with two homers. Kris Bubic gets his second straight start against the Twins for the Royals. He allowed two runs in almost five innings of work last time out. Bubic and Royal backers will get the win if Bubic can cut down on his walks. |

Astros +120 v. Padres | Top | 3-4 |

|
08-21-20 |
Reds v. Cardinals +103 | | 4-2 |
Loss | -100 | 12 h 29 m | Show |
Lets see if there's any momentum from the Cardinals comeback win on Thursday. Regardless, I'll be more than happy to take the small plus money because win streaks have to start somewhere. Of course its more than that. Dakota Hudson will take the mound for St. Louis. Hudson doesn't bring an attractive resume' into this one (0-2, 5.40era) but like his team let's see if he can build some momentum off his last start which saw him allow just one run through four innings. I think you'll get the from Hudson tonight because he'll have better command of his breaking balls, something struggled with against the White Sox. Last season he was a perfect 3-0 against the Reds. I think he'll run that record to 4-0 in this one. |
08-20-20 |
Angels +113 v. Giants | Top | 5-10 |
Loss | -100 | 7 h 10 m | Show |
The biggest mistake that most bettors fall in to is they take what they just saw and thinks it pertains to the next game. Sure there are somethings you can take from a pitchers start but most don't go beyond wins and losses. The Giants easily put the Angels away on Wednesday but with Kevin Gausman on the hill tonight I'm compelled to take the plus money with the Angels considering the Giants have yet to win a game that Gausman starts. |
08-20-20 |
Astros +118 v. Rockies | | 10-8 |
Win | 118 | 1 h 16 m | Show |
I'll keep this short because I want to get this game up. I will not overreact just because Marquez is throwing for Colorado. He comes into this one with a 2-3 record and 2.25 era. I'll take the plus money in this one against a team whose offense doesn't show up on most night for Marquez. |
08-19-20 |
Rangers +115 v. Padres | | 3-6 |
Loss | -100 | 18 h 31 m | Show |
Lance Lynn (3-0, 1.11era) gets the start for the Rangers against the Padres Chris Paddock (2-2, 4.91era). The Padres pushed Paddocks start back a day in an effort to get him headed in the right direction. He doesn't seem to be throwing as hard while his spin rate has declined. Teams are getting on base with regularity. Let's take the plus money in this one. |
08-18-20 |
Nationals +112 v. Braves | | 8-5 |
Win | 112 | 16 h 48 m | Show |
When it comes to the NL East leading Braves, the further down their rotation we go the more questions I have. The Braves pitching are 14th in the Majors with a 4.26era. Josh Tomlin will get the start for the Braves with Atlanta hitting the bottom of their rotation. Tomlin has been fantastic out of the pen but he's making his first start in 2020 in what certainly will be a pitch by committee game. The last time Tomlin was a full time starter was three seasons ago in Cleveland where he owned a 10-9 record along with an ERA close to five. Tomlin has been bit by the long ball in the past, finishing twice in the top homers given up in his career. On the road, the Braves pitching has been worse with an ERA of 4.93 (16th in MLB). Take the Nationals and the plus price as they gain some revenge on the horrible late inning collapse on Monday. |
08-13-20 |
Padres v. Dodgers -136 | Top | 2-11 |
Win | 100 | 3 h 54 m | Show |
We waited for the Dodgers offense to show some signs of life and that's what we got last night with the Dodgers smoking the Padres, 6-0. It wasn't easy early on but later in the game the Dodgers showed their power to push them to victory. I anticipate that we'll see that carry over tonight. Chris Paddack (2-1, 3.18era) gets the start for the Padres. He is 1-1 lifetime against Los Angeles, which includes his first win against the Dodgers this season, but he also carries a 5.31 career ERA against LA into this one. Julio Urias will get the start for Los Angeles. Urias is 1-0 with a sparkling 2.40era this season. he was supposed to start on Wednesday but was pushed back a day, meaning, he should be well rested. In seven career starts against the Padres, Urias owns a 1.76era, with two of the seven as a starter. Take the Dodgers to split the series. |
08-12-20 |
Padres +140 v. Dodgers | Top | 0-6 |
Loss | -100 | 3 h 58 m | Show |
The Dodgers took two of three against Padres last week, silencing some that were excited about the Padres in 2020. San Diego has come back to win the first two games of this series to break through the silence and giving Dana's customers two plus money wins to start the series. The Padres have shown through two games that they can beat you with offense, defense, and power. San Diego has now won four of their last five games. Zach Davies has been a welcomed addition to the Padres rotation. |
08-12-20 |
Rays v. Red Sox +138 | | 9-5 |
Loss | -100 | 1 h 9 m | Show |
Yes, it appears that both teams are going in opposite directions but the Rays are still hitting just .222 as a team, good for 10th in the American League. Blake Snell will pitch five innings at best so there's plenty of time for the Sox to face pitchers who have not won a Cy Young. Sox starter, Zach Godley, threw four scoreless innings in his last start against the Blue jays. |
08-12-20 |
Braves +157 v. Yankees | | 3-6 |
Loss | -100 | 1 h 19 m | Show |
This is going to be a bullpen game for the Braves, which I like. It seems to keep opposing teams off balance enough to feel like take the generous plus price is the right side. |
08-12-20 |
Cubs v. Indians -114 | | 7-2 |
Loss | -114 | 1 h 6 m | Show |
Cubs starting pitching has been good, Indians starters have been real good. Heading into tonight's game, Cleveland starters have posted a 2.24 era. Carlos Carrasco is a relative unknown to the Cubs who have never faced him as a team and no one in the Cubs line-up have had more than three career AB's against Carrasco. For the Cubs, Kyle Schwarber has been scratched with a right knee contusion. Take the Indians. |
08-11-20 |
Padres +150 v. Dodgers | Top | 6-2 |
Win | 150 | 4 h 14 m | Show |
We jumped all over the Padres last night as a big plus money dog and we're going right back to them tonight. Even though the Dodgers took two of three against the Padres last week, not one of those games were easy wins. Garrett Richards gets the start for the Padres. Richards has never thrown less than five innings in his three starts, including five against the Dodgers. Richards is just 1-1 lifetime against the Dodgers but owns a sparkling 2.55era in those starts. Ross Stripling is 3-0 to start the years but last week against the Padres he gave up 4 runs, 6 hits, in 5.2 innings. Going right back with the Padres tonight. |
08-11-20 |
Braves +125 v. Yankees | | 6-9 |
Loss | -100 | 2 h 58 m | Show |
Don't be fooled by Touki Toussaint ERA. In his last start it was clear that his breaking stuff was sharp as he recorded 9 K's in 6.2 innings against the Blue jays on Thursday. It was clearly his best outing as a Major Leaguer. Yankee starter Jordan Montgomery is a less than impressive 1-1, with a 5.59era with just 6 K's. He struggled against the Phillies in his last start. He didn't have command against the Phillies, giving up 5 runs, 6 hits, in just 4 innings. Take the Braves and the plus money. |
08-11-20 |
Marlins v. Blue Jays -149 | | 4-5 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 58 m | Show |
Buffalo finally gets Major League Baseball, for now. The Toronto Blue Jays and Miami Marlins will start their series in Western New York tonight, finally. This will be the first time since 1915 that Buffalo has hosted Major League Baseball. The Marlins are a nice story but a team that has had to replace 18 players due to positive Covid test, this can't last and maybe we started to see the beginning of those cracks this past series against the New York Mets. Hyun Jin Ryu will get the start for the Jays, coming off his best start against the Atlanta Braves after throwing five scoreless with eight k's. He is 3-1 in his career against Miami with a 2.39 era. Take the 'Home" Jays. |
08-10-20 |
A's v. Angels +115 | Top | 9-10 |
Win | 115 | 2 h 19 m | Show |
Julio Tehran missed the first two weeks of the season after testing positive for Covid. His first start against the Mariners, Tehran allowed 2 runs and couldn't get through two innings. I expect a much better performance because I'm a huge believer that teams and players get better from game one to two. Tehran is 1-0 with a 2.92era in two career starts against the Athletics. Athletic starter, Sean Manaea, is not sharing in his team's success with a 0-2 record to go with his 8.03era. One of those losses was to the Angels, July 25th when he allowed four runs and five hits in just 4.2 innings of work. He is 2-4 with a 4.66era in nine career starts against the Angels. |
08-10-20 |
Mariners +173 v. Rangers | Top | 10-2 |
Win | 173 | 2 h 8 m | Show |
Yes, the Rangers are coming off a home sweep against the Los Angeles Angels but I'm still not confident in their bullpen if their starter can't go deep. No one knows that better than Ranger starter, Kyle Gibson, who received a ND against the Oakland Athletics in his last start because the bullpen couldn't hold a lead. There has been some changes in the Rangers bullpen, with Rafael Montero now in the closer role. They had some luck on their side on Sunday after collecting four runs on a fly ball that should have been caught by Jo Adell but instead jumped back out of his glove and over the wall for a home run that was ruled a four base error. Lets take the juicy plus price here. |
08-10-20 |
Twins v. Brewers -110 | | 4-2 |
Loss | -110 | 2 h 35 m | Show |
It's 2020 so naturally the Kansas City Royals are coming off a sweep of the high octane Minnesota Twins, sending them to their fourth straight loss. This number is a bit of a surprise, as I was hoping to get a plus price but I still like the Brewers to get the W. |
08-10-20 |
Nationals v. Mets +116 | | 16-4 |
Loss | -100 | 1 h 16 m | Show |
This appears to be two teams moving in opposite directions after the Mets won their first series of the year against the Marlins while the Nationals have lost three straight including two straight against the Orioles which could have been a sweep had Mother nature showed mercy, forcing a rainout yesterday. Mets starter, Steven Matz, isn't exactly lightning it up but the Nats will counter with Patrick Corbin who is just 3-5 with a 4.48era in 15 career starts against New York, and though his last start start was a win against the Mets, he did allow eight hits in 5.2 innings. The nationals are struggling right from the top. Trea Turner is hitting .196 and is in a 2-23 slump from the leadoff spot. Take the Mets and the plus money. |
08-10-20 |
Braves +134 v. Phillies | | 8-13 |
Loss | -100 | 1 h 54 m | Show |
Just because Aaron Nola is taking the mound, it doesn't erase the fact the Braves handed a doubleheader loss by the combined score of 13-2 on Sunday. In addition, they outhit the Phillies 23-7. Nola has yet to get his first win of the season after two starts, with his last start being his most effective with a 6 inning, 3 hit outing resulting in a 3-1 no decision. Nola brings an era that is barely under four. His outing against the Yanks was arguably one the best of his career. Impressive outing for sure but that was one game measured against a poor outing against Miami and a less than stellar 2019. I can't rely on the Phillies giving Nola enough runs. In game two against the Braves, Philadelphia managed just four hits, two of them by Rhys Hoskins. Their 3-7 hitters in the DH went a combined 1-28. Take the Braves and the generous plus price. |
08-09-20 |
Braves v. Phillies +133 | | 8-0 |
Loss | -100 | 1 h 15 m | Show |
Looks like Spencer Howard will get his first Major League start in game two against the Braves, Howard is one of the organizations prized prospects. Reports are that his stuff is 'electric". The Braves will counter with Max Fried, who was supposed to start game one. Fried has had trouble with the Phillies in his career, going just 1-2 with a 5.47era. he has appeared in 9 games against the Phil's with three of those being starts. Fried is a guy who's hard on himself and if he runs into early trouble that could be his undoing. The Braves, Freddie Freeman, is hitting just .200 and still looks uncomfortable or unsure. he appears to not trust his ability just yet. Take the Phils and the plus price. |
07-27-20 |
Mets v. Red Sox +106 | Top | 7-4 |
Loss | -100 | 1 h 2 m | Show |
The Baltimore Orioles just went into Fenway park and took 2 of 3 from the Sox so until I know that was a fluke I can't put serious money behind them. Boston looks just as lethargic as they did to start the 2019 campaign, while starting pitching has been pummeled. Josh Osich will get the start for Boston, who will treat him more as an opener than a starter. I'm willing to put a small wager on the Sox who should be at their best with their opening series wake-up call. Keep note though if they don't get this one. |
09-29-19 |
Twins -177 v. Royals | Top | 4-5 |
Loss | -177 | 10 h 8 m | Show |
The Twins a division title last week and haven't shown any signs of slowing down since as they bring a 6 game in streak into this one.
The Twins have hit over 300 homers this season, no way I'm getting in the way of that in this one. |
09-29-19 |
Braves v. Mets -110 | | 6-7 |
Win | 100 | 10 h 53 m | Show |
So impressed by what the Mets have done since the ASB, winning a series for the 16th time in 23 tries. They won't make the postseason but they'll get a Braves team who isn't going to waster their energy on a meaningless game. |
09-28-19 |
A's -175 v. Mariners | | 1-0 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 29 m | Show |
With outfielder Mark Canha and designated hitter Khris Davis both returned from injuries Friday night in Oakland's 4-3 loss to the host Seattle Mariners, the Athletics should be even stronger offensively. It takes a day or two to get back on track for a hitter but I think we'll see the benefits tonight, especially after losing last night. |
09-28-19 |
Padres v. Diamondbacks -145 | Top | 5-6 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 5 m | Show |
Huge pitching mismatch with Arizona sending Robbie Ray (12-8, 4.28 ERA) to the mound to face Garrett Richards (0-1, 11.81) for the Padres.
Some will say that Ray is having his best season as pro, I know he will get his team at least to the 6th while Richards will be long gone. |
09-27-19 |
Dodgers -190 v. Giants | Top | 9-2 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 45 m | Show |
Buehler (13-4, 3.25) is scheduled to make his final regular-season start in Friday's series opener against the Giants. He's never lost to San Francisco, going 2-0 this season and 3-0 in his career with a 2.79 ERA. Take the Dodgers. |
09-27-19 |
A's -195 v. Mariners | | 3-4 |
Loss | -195 | 7 h 24 m | Show |
Kyle Seager registered two of his team's four hits on Thursday and Austin Nola drove in the lone run for the Mariners, who have scored a total of two runs during their four-game losing streak.
Fiers will be hard-pressed to make his final regular-season start a better one than his turn last Friday, when he allowed only two hits over eight scoreless innings in a victory over Texas. He's has lost just once in his last 24 outings, recording 13 wins - including his second career no-hitter - in that span. |
09-25-19 |
Braves -195 v. Royals | Top | 10-2 |
Win | 100 | 12 h 33 m | Show |
Josh Tomlin, who has 144 career starts, has allowed one run on nine hits with no walks in his past 10 1/3 innings, and on the season has walked just seven hitters in 75 1/3 innings.
Mike Montgomery has allowed four runs or more six times, including in his last outing Thursday at Minnesota when he surrendered five runs on seven hits - including three homers - over four innings. |
09-24-19 |
Rockies v. Giants -165 | Top | 8-5 |
Loss | -165 | 8 h 1 m | Show |
Giants are 5-0 in Bumgarners last 5 starts vs. Rockies. Giants are 4-0 in Bumgarners last 4 home starts vs. Rockies. Rockies are 7-15 in the last 22 meetings in San Francisco. Rockies are 2-5 in the last 7 meetings. |
09-24-19 |
Cardinals -195 v. Diamondbacks | | 2-3 |
Loss | -195 | 8 h 48 m | Show |
Flaherty, who is scheduled to oppose Arizona right-hander Mike Leake in the second game of a three-game series in Phoenix on Tuesday, is 6-3 with a 1.07 ERA in 14 starts, a stretch that began with a 1-0 loss at San Francisco on July 7, when he gave up one run and two hits in seven innings. |
09-23-19 |
Cardinals -126 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 9-7 |
Win | 100 | 16 h 55 m | Show |
The Cardinals won 10 of 14 meetings over the last four seasons. They'll have Adam Wainwright making the start who has been incredible this month with a 4-0 mark so far. Take the Cardinals and the short price. |
09-23-19 |
Red Sox v. Rays -191 | Top | 4-7 |
Win | 100 | 13 h 1 m | Show |
Jhoulys Chacin will pitch for the Red Sox here, and this will be his first start at Tropicana Field. He is 3-11 with a 5.66 ERA in the season, and he has posted a 32-49 mark with a 4.29 ERA in 111 career road starts. He allowed four runs in his last start. |
09-22-19 |
Phillies v. Indians -132 | Top | 1-10 |
Win | 100 | 14 h 32 m | Show |
Velasquez has not completed more than five innings over his last seven appearances.
Plutko has allowed two runs or fewer in five of his last six starts |
09-22-19 |
Diamondbacks -107 v. Padres | Top | 4-6 |
Loss | -107 | 11 h 37 m | Show |
D'Backs are still in the race while winning 11 of 14 against the NL West. Ray should have no problem mowing down the Padres who's offense is offensive. |
09-21-19 |
Diamondbacks v. Padres +120 | | 4-2 |
Loss | -100 | 15 h 15 m | Show |
Arizona has won last night but they've still dropped 7 of their last 11 against the Padres. The season series is tied 7-7 but it will be the Padres who will rebound against Arizona, a team who just can't seem to ever build on a little prosperity. |
09-21-19 |
Cardinals +122 v. Cubs | Top | 9-8 |
Win | 122 | 9 h 32 m | Show |
Since Aug. 9 the Cubs are 19-20 since and losers of four straight after Friday's 2-1 setback while the Cardinals are 29-12 during that span.
St. Louis' Dakota Hudson is 6-1 with a 1.59 ERA over his last seven starts - pitching at least six innings in each |
09-20-19 |
Diamondbacks +102 v. Padres | | 9-0 |
Win | 102 | 9 h 35 m | Show |
Although slim, the Diamondbacks still have a slight window to make the postseason so there will be no taking days off down the stretch until they're officially eliminated. I'm going to get the RL here but you can play it straight as a small dog if you choose. However, the official play is +1.5. We're laying a little more than normal to get a sure winner. |
09-20-19 |
Rangers v. A's -180 | Top | 0-8 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 21 m | Show |
This is another series where the home team can really put some distance between themselves and the team behind them. The Athletics own a 2 games advantage over their closest wild card competition. Like most series this time of year we have to lay a little more to get the right side. Texas still has a offense to not take lightly so I'm going to lay a little more juice to get the better side. |
09-19-19 |
Blue Jays -124 v. Orioles | Top | 8-4 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 53 m | Show |
Despite the Jays horrific record they do have a lot of power in their line-up. They currently rank 11th in home runs.
Ynoa is not very good and hasn’t been good against Toronto either. His overall ERA on the season is 5.74 and his WHIP is at 1.40. Toronto is hitting .357 against him (10-28) |
09-19-19 |
Padres v. Brewers -154 | | 1-5 |
Win | 100 | 12 h 40 m | Show |
Like most pitchers who leave Pittsburgh, Jordan Lyles has been more than good at Miller Park where he has gone 6-4 with a 3.01 ERA in 17 games (10 starts). Take the Brewers to easily take down the Padres. |
09-19-19 |
Phillies v. Braves -152 | Top | 4-5 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 16 m | Show |
The Phillies can do something that hasn't been done in almost 6 weeks, thats sweeping the Atlanta Braves. The Braves are still 60-37 since June 1st, I'll take the Braves with a little juice in this spot. |
09-18-19 |
Rays v. Dodgers -130 | Top | 8-7 |
Loss | -130 | 1 h 44 m | Show |
McKay is coming off a disappointing outing against the Texas Rangers in which he allowed three runs on six hits across 3.1 innings of work. The 23-year-old has been deployed as an opener of sorts, logging no more than 3.2 frames over his last three starts. Take the Dodgers to finish off the Rays as they chase the best record in baseball. |
09-18-19 |
Reds v. Cubs -158 | Top | 3-2 |
Loss | -158 | 1 h 47 m | Show |
The Reds have only won 2 of Tyler Mahle's starts since May nd hasn't made it out of the 5th inning in his last two starts. Lay a little more but this is a winner. |
09-18-19 |
Mets -142 v. Rockies | Top | 7-4 |
Win | 100 | 3 h 49 m | Show |
I guess we should see who the battery is in this one but the reality is Noah Syndergaard (10-8, 4.15) is the better pitcher by a wide margin in this one over Jeff Hoffman (2-6, 7.03). This number may have some over thinking this selection, that's not going to be us as the Mets roll. |
09-17-19 |
Marlins v. Diamondbacks -175 | Top | 12-6 |
Loss | -175 | 18 h 1 m | Show |
Like a few other teams in MLB, its hard to ever trust the Marlins, who have the worst record in the NL.
Caleb Smith owns a 4.76 ERA in three September starts and had a 6.39 ERA in five August starts. |
09-17-19 |
Giants v. Red Sox -187 | | 7-6 |
Loss | -187 | 15 h 7 m | Show |
Starting for the Giants will be Logan Webb (1-2, 6.75 ERA) and he will be opposed by Nathan Eovaldi (1-0, 5.81 ERA).
Webb is 1-1 with an 8.76 ERA in three starts on the road. Not good enough for me to back in this one. |
09-16-19 |
Nationals -137 v. Cardinals | Top | 2-4 |
Loss | -137 | 14 h 54 m | Show |
The Nationals will start Stephen Strasburg (17-6, 3.49 ERA), who won his previous start against the Cardinals this season 2-1. He allowed the one run on six hits in 6 2/3 innings, striking out nine batters along the way.
Strasburg is 3-2 with a 2.38 ERA in seven career starts against the Cardinals |
09-16-19 |
Orioles -138 v. Tigers | | 2-5 |
Loss | -138 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
The only thing at stake in this series is draft picks. The Tigers aren't going to blow that as the Orioles win tonight and the series. |
09-15-19 |
Dodgers -139 v. Mets | | 3-2 |
Win | 100 | 4 h 14 m | Show |
Dodgers will look to Walker Buehler to get his fourth-straight win, having pitched seven shutout innings his last time out vs Baltimore. On the season, he has a 3.03 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP in 166.1 innings pitched. |
09-13-19 |
Marlins v. Giants -161 | | 0-1 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 40 m | Show |
Beede did not get a decision in the May meeting in Miami although he limited the Marlins to one run in six innings.
Marlins are 15-37 in their last 52 overall, thats a go against almost everyday. |
09-13-19 |
White Sox v. Mariners -139 | Top | 9-7 |
Loss | -139 | 17 h 59 m | Show |
Dylan Covey has not won a road game this season and it isn't happening tonight either. The 28-year-old right-handed pitcher own a 7.69 ERA and 1.69 WHIP with a 1-8 record. He’ll try to rebound after taking an loss at the hands of the Angels, allowing seven earned runs in two-plus innings. |
09-13-19 |
Rays -132 v. Angels | | 11-4 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 15 m | Show |
Charlie Morton gets the start tonight as he enters with a 14-6 record, 3.11 ERA and 1.10 WHIP plus 219 strikeouts over 176 1/3 innings pitched. Despite the results in Texas, the Rays have been a fantastic road team this season. |
09-13-19 |
Reds -111 v. Diamondbacks | | 4-3 |
Win | 100 | 16 h 14 m | Show |
Castillo has been exceptional is game one of series where he's won 12 of his last 17 in that position. Arizona has lost 5 straight games, make that 6 tonight. |
09-13-19 |
Padres -109 v. Rockies | Top | 8-10 |
Loss | -109 | 6 h 24 m | Show |
The pitching match-up here is an obvious advantage to the Padres with LH Joey Lucchesi (10-7, 3.84 ERA) vs. Rockies RH Jeff Hoffman (1-6, 7.06).
Lucchesi allowed two hits and a career-high five walks with eight strikeouts in six innings of a 3-0 victory over Colorado on Saturday. So lets back him again with the short price. |
09-13-19 |
Brewers v. Cardinals -124 | Top | 0-10 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 11 m | Show |
The Brewers are on a recent win streak, the Cardinals have been on a long term streak with a 38-20 record since the All-Star Break.
Wainwright has allowed 1 ER in his last 14 innings. I'll take that over a recent hot streak. |
09-12-19 |
Red Sox -144 v. Blue Jays | Top | 7-4 |
Win | 100 | 4 h 11 m | Show |
Clay Bucholz is making his first start against the team that drafted him 14 years ago.
In his first 8 starts for the Jays, Buchholz has thrown 42.1 innings, compiling a 1-4 record with a 5.31 ERA. |
09-12-19 |
Pirates v. Giants -112 | Top | 4-2 |
Loss | -112 | 2 h 32 m | Show |
There's no guarantee Joe Musgrove, seeking to become Pittsburgh's first 10-game winner this season, is going to make the start. He's been bothered by a sore right foot, one that forced him to miss a scheduled start last week against the St. Louis Cardinals.
If the 26-year-old can't make the start, right-hander Alex McRae (0-3, 8.41 ERA) likely would get the call. Go against spot either way. |
09-12-19 |
Cubs -139 v. Padres | Top | 4-1 |
Win | 100 | 9 h 12 m | Show |
The Padres got on on Wednesday but this is still a team that has had a hard time beating them in San Diego.
Take the Cubs to bounce back in this one. |
09-12-19 |
Cardinals -165 v. Rockies | | 10-3 |
Win | 100 | 9 h 55 m | Show |
I'm betting that we're going to see the Miles Mikolas that has been like a glimpse back in 2018 especially now that the Cardinals have dropped the first two games of this series by a combined 4-2. |
09-12-19 |
Royals v. White Sox -185 | Top | 6-3 |
Loss | -185 | 8 h 10 m | Show |
Right hander Jorge Lopez (3-7, 6.23 ERA) will get the start for the Royals. The White Sox will send righty Lucas Giolito (14-8, 3.27 ERA) to the mound. definite pitching edge to the Sox.
Lopez is 0-2 with a 6.19 ERA in three outings (two starts) against the White Sox in 2019 |
09-12-19 |
Brewers -128 v. Marlins | Top | 3-2 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 41 m | Show |
The Milwaukee Brewers have won 6 in a row but they can't relax now as they are still trying to catch the Cardinals.
I'll take Gio Gonzalez against Caleb Smith who has dropped two career starts against Brewers. |
09-11-19 |
Cubs -104 v. Padres | | 0-4 |
Loss | -104 | 8 h 59 m | Show |
Hamels is 5-1 with a 2.01 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in nine outings at Petco Park, a short drive from where Hamels grew up. Hamels is 9-2 with a 2.45 ERA in 18 career starts against the Padres and has shut down Eric Hosmer (0-for-13) and Manny Machado (1-for-14). |
09-11-19 |
Reds -148 v. Mariners | Top | 3-5 |
Loss | -148 | 8 h 13 m | Show |
The Mariners have not posted consecutive wins in three weeks and were somewhat fortunate to get the win last night, breaking a 6 game losing streak. Jump right back in with the Reds. |
09-11-19 |
Pirates v. Giants -136 | Top | 6-3 |
Loss | -136 | 7 h 3 m | Show |
The clubhouse in Pittsburgh has to be cancerous after another report of in fighting. This is not the first report of this and perhaps not the last. This is a team waiting for the season to end as this team has the worst culture of any Hurdle squad. |
09-10-19 |
Cubs -139 v. Padres | | 8-9 |
Loss | -139 | 17 h 56 m | Show |
The Cubs have the Padres number after last nights win pushed the Cubs record to 8-3 against the Padres, including 4 straight at Petco.
This is a must win series for the Cubs who can apply some pressure to the cardinals with a successful series. |
09-10-19 |
Reds -125 v. Mariners | Top | 3-4 |
Loss | -125 | 17 h 10 m | Show |
The Mariners have been a go against in interleague games for a long time after winning just 9 of 33 games against the NL.
The Reds can still finish the season with a winning record so don't anticipate a letdown spot here. |
09-10-19 |
Pirates v. Giants -121 | Top | 4-5 |
Win | 100 | 16 h 21 m | Show |
Giants are 23-8 in Cuetos last 31 starts vs. a team with a losing record and you would think that there is still a little something extra inside of Cueto to beat the Pirates. |
09-10-19 |
Cardinals -143 v. Rockies | Top | 1-2 |
Loss | -143 | 15 h 57 m | Show |
The Cardinals own the Colorado Rockies. In their last 60 meetings the Cards have won 43.
The Rockies are just 16-45 in their last 61 games. No way I can back Colorado. |
09-10-19 |
A's v. Astros -147 | Top | 21-7 |
Loss | -147 | 14 h 13 m | Show |
Houston set a major-league record with six homers in the first two innings and finished with a club record-tying seven blasts as it steamrolled Oakland 15-0 on Monday.
Houston has the division locked up but they still are motivated to finish first overall. |
09-10-19 |
Rays -126 v. Rangers | | 5-3 |
Win | 100 | 14 h 47 m | Show |
Tampa comes in having won their last five games in a row and 10 of their last 11. Taking the hill for the Rays will be Ryan Yarbrough and he has gone 11-3 with a 3.49 ERA in 24 games (10 starts) on the year, including 9=1 with a 2.42 ERA in 13 games (five starts) on the road and 3-2 with a 3.17 ERA in his 10 games as a starter |
09-09-19 |
Cubs -140 v. Padres | Top | 10-2 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 49 m | Show |
Considering the Cubs haven't lost in San Diego since 2017, I'd say that's a trend to follow tonight, especially knowing that the Cubs need this winnable series to continue their hold on a wild card spot. |
09-08-19 |
Nationals -124 v. Braves | Top | 9-4 |
Win | 100 | 1 h 4 m | Show |
The Nationals are trying to avoid a sweep and there's no one better to lean on than Matt Scherzer. Soroka has shown signs that he can be hit of late.
Take the Nats to salvage one game. |
09-08-19 |
Phillies v. Mets -172 | | 10-7 |
Loss | -172 | 2 h 2 m | Show |
The Mets had plenty of chances yesterday but when you go 0-11 with RISP losses tend to happen. Noah Syndergaard (10-7, 3.97 ERA), who is coming off two drastically different starts, pitches for the Mets. He allowed 10 runs to the Chicago Cubs on Aug. 28 but rebounded nicely by allowing three hits with 10 strikeouts in seven scoreless innings of Monday's 7-3 win at Washington.
Syndergaard is 6-3 with a 3.97 ERA in 12 career starts against Philadelphia. |
09-08-19 |
Royals -105 v. Marlins | | 0-9 |
Loss | -105 | 1 h 22 m | Show |
All I can say about this game is we've received some credible information that compels us to get involved with the Royals.
The Marlins are a horrific at home and will never hurt you from a power standpoint. The Royals are 7-3 in their last 10 so lets ride them at a generous price. |
09-08-19 |
Blue Jays v. Rays -191 | Top | 3-8 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 48 m | Show |
Tyler Glasnow makes his return to face the Jays who have dropped 6 straight games in addition to 21-36 against divisional foes. They've hit just .235 this season, worst in the American league.
Take the Rays to sweep. |
09-08-19 |
Rangers -140 v. Orioles | Top | 10-4 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 15 m | Show |
The only thing consistent about the Orioles is they're consistently bad.
Aaron Brooks (4-7, 5.81) gets the ball for the O's after a horrific August despite finishing strong. If he can't command his fastball its going to be an easy win for the Rangers again. |
09-06-19 |
Rockies v. Padres -172 | Top | 3-2 |
Loss | -172 | 8 h 37 m | Show |
The Rockies have lost 9 straight games after being swept against the Dodgers. That's not the big deal but when that came right after getting swept by the Pirates we have a definite go against.
Laying a little more juice than I'd like but we need to get a win. |
09-06-19 |
Diamondbacks -117 v. Reds | Top | 7-5 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 58 m | Show |
I won't get in the way of the Diamondbacks now after winning 9 of their last 10 to get within 3.5 games of the last wild card spot. Their streak included taking 3 of 4 games from the Dodgers and a 2-game sweep of the Giants.
The price is fair as the D'Backs continue to roll. |
09-06-19 |
Phillies v. Mets -148 | Top | 4-5 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 49 m | Show |
The Mets took two of three on their last visit to Philadelphia and hope to do at least that well at home as time runs short with each team having only 23 games remaining as of Friday.
The Phils rank 11th in team pitching in the NL tied with the Milwaukee Brewers with a 4.61 team ERA. Only Pittsburgh, Colorado and Miami have a higher ERA than the Phils.
Take NY in an important home match-up for wild card positioning. |
09-06-19 |
Royals v. Marlins -123 | Top | 3-0 |
Loss | -123 | 4 h 29 m | Show |
You know its bad when the lead on a game says that this series is for draft positioning.
Pablo Lopez has been decent this season as he faces the right handed dominant Royals. Lopez has had well documented issues against LHP but if he can command his sinker better he should be in good shape to grab us a win. |
