11-18-23 | Kansas State v. Kansas OVER 57 | Top | 31-27 | Win | 100 | 11 h 46 m | Show |
Kansas State has scored 40 or more points in six games this year, which leads the Big 12. It is the Wildcats' most 40-point games in a season since 2012 (seven) when they were conference co-champs and played in the Fiesta Bowl.
11-18-23 | Nebraska v. Oregon State OVER 136.5 | Top | 84-63 | Win | 100 | 5 h 39 m | Show |
A pair of power-conference teams projected to finish near the bottom of their respective leagues bring perfect records to Sioux Falls, S.D., on Saturday afternoon as Nebraska faces Oregon State. Nebraska (4-0) is off to its best start in five years after winning four home games by an average of 23.5 points. The most recent win, 84-63 over Stony Brook on Wednesday, saw the Cornhuskers move closer to full strength with the return of forward Juwan Gary from suspension.
11-18-23 | Golden Knights -150 v. Flyers | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -150 | 1 h 27 m | Show |
The Golden Knights seek a second consecutive season sweep of the Flyers as they face off in Philadelphia. Vegas rallied for a 3-2 home win on October 24, with Shea Theodore scoring the game-winner with 32.5 seconds to play.
11-18-23 | Rutgers v. Penn State UNDER 41 | Top | 6-27 | Win | 100 | 4 h 6 m | Show |
Besieged this week by questions about the firing of his offensive coordinator, Penn State coach James Franklin implored reporters to address the No. 12 Nittany Lions' next opponent. Despite Franklin's efforts, the visiting Scarlet Knights (6-4, 3-4 Big Ten) received little attention from the press corps ahead of the Saturday clash with the Nittany Lions (8-2, 5-2) in University Park, Pa. Franklin, who is in his 10th season, has been feeling the heat since the Nittany Lions' 24-15 home loss to Michigan last week. The defeat exposed a sore subject that has been brewing all season: a conservative offensive approach. On Sunday, Penn State fired Mike Yurcich, who had been the offensive coordinator since 2021. Sharing the role will be tight ends coach Ty Howle and running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider. During games, both will remain in their usual roles, with Howle in the booth upstairs and Seider on the sideline, Franklin said.
11-18-23 | Mississippi State v. Washington State +7.5 | Top | 76-64 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 52 m | Show |
The Cougars (2-0) posted convincing wins against Idaho and Prairie View A&M before getting time off to prepare for their matchup against Mississippi State. Washington State shot better than 50.0 percent from the floor in its first two wins and 54.0 percent overall. Myles Rice, who sat out last season while undergoing treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma, is averaging 14.0 points this season. Isaac Jones logged a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds in the 83-65 victory over Prairie View A&M on Nov. 10. Jones had 11 double-doubles at Idaho last season and averaged 6.9 trips to the free throw line, which ranked 14th in the nation. The 6-foot-9 forward has stepped to the line 17 times so far this season, making nine.
11-17-23 | Belmont v. Arizona UNDER 170.5 | Top | 68-100 | Win | 100 | 11 h 1 m | Show |
Keshad Johnson, a fifth-year senior transfer, has provided an early energy boost to No. 3 Arizona, which takes on Belmont on Friday night in Tucson, Ariz. Johnson, who helped San Diego State reach the national title game last season, leads Arizona (3-0) in scoring and rebounding through its fast start to the season, which includes a 78-73 victory at Duke on Nov. 10. Johnson is averaging 15.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. Johnson was known more for his defensive presence with the Aztecs - he averaged 7.7 points per game last season -- but he is flourishing in an up-tempo attack and running the court to get easy baskets in transition, just like his predecessor at power forward, Azuolas Tubelis did with the Wildcats.
11-17-23 | Colorado v. Washington State -4 | Top | 14-56 | Win | 100 | 13 h 47 m | Show |
Back in September, a primetime matchup between Colorado and Washington State would have been off the charts. The Buffaloes, under first-year coach Deion Sanders, won their first three games of the season and were ranked 18th in the Top 25. The Cougars opened with four straight victories and reached No. 13. Those good times are long gone and Friday night in Pullman, Wash., the Buffaloes and Cougars meet to see who can escape the Pacific-12 Conference cellar. Colorado (4-6 overall, 1-6 Pac-12) has lost four games in a row and six of seven, the lone victory in that span a 27-24 decision against Arizona State. Washington State (4-6, 1-6) has dropped six in a row. Both teams came close to snapping out of their downturns last week but couldn't eject the continued nosedive. The Buffaloes took a seven-point lead into the fourth quarter at home before losing 34-31 to Arizona.
11-17-23 | Panthers v. Ducks OVER 6.5 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -130 | 10 h 55 m | Show |
The Anaheim Ducks will look to bounce back from their worst defeat of the season when they open a four-game homestand against the Florida Panthers on Friday night. The Ducks come in off a 8-2 loss against the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday in the second game of a back-to-back that began with a 3-2 victory at Nashville. Anaheim allowed five goals in the final period against Colorado. Anaheim seemed to wilt in the high altitude of Denver. The loss, just the third in 11 games, snapped a five-game road winning streak for the Ducks.
11-17-23 | South Florida v. UTSA OVER 66.5 | Top | 21-49 | Win | 100 | 11 h 59 m | Show |
11-17-23 | Celtics v. Raptors +8.5 | Top | 108-105 | Win | 100 | 7 h 22 m | Show |
The Toronto Raptors know they must break their habit of slow starts when they play the visiting Boston Celtics on Friday night in their first NBA in-season tournament game. Coach Darko Rajakovic said after Wednesday's 128-112 loss to the visiting Milwaukee Bucks that the Raptors are trying to sort out their issues at the start of games. The Raptors have overcome 22- and 23-point deficits to win games this season, but they could not come back after falling behind by as many as 33 to the Bucks.
11-17-23 | Pistons v. Cavs OVER 220.5 | Top | 100-108 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 11 m | Show |
The Cleveland Cavaliers welcome the visiting Detroit Pistons to town on Friday for an NBA in-season tournament matchup, with both teams seeking their first win in pool play. Cleveland makes its homecoming from a four-game road trip in which it went 2-2 against Western Conference competition. The Cavaliers wrapped up their swing on Wednesday with a 109-95 defeat of Portland. Cleveland played its road-swing finale without Darius Garland, the team's leader in assists at 6.2 per game and third-leading scorer at 17.2 points per game, due to a neck injury. Dean Wade made the start in Garland's place and went scoreless. Donovan Mitchell carried the load with 34 points, his fifth game of 30-plus points this season. Mitchell is averaging 29.2 points per game for the season. Cleveland also got 21 points and 12 rebounds from Evan Mobley in Portland.
11-17-23 | Hampton v. Kent State OVER 153.5 | Top | 62-100 | Win | 100 | 6 h 52 m | Show |
11-17-23 | Maple Leafs v. Red Wings OVER 6.5 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -130 | 2 h 2 m | Show |
The Red Wings played their Global Series opener on Thursday. Detroit trailed Ottawa 4-0 midway through the second period, knotted the score before the period ended, then lost in overtime 5-4. Lucas Raymond, the lone Swede on Detroit's roster, started the comeback with a breakaway goal. Detroit killed off four third-period penalties but lost on Tim Stutzle's goal with two seconds left in OT.
11-17-23 | Norfolk State v. Fordham OVER 134.5 | Top | 64-77 | Win | 100 | 1 h 18 m | Show |
11-16-23 | Thunder -2 v. Warriors | Top | 128-109 | Win | 100 | 13 h 37 m | Show |
Oklahoma City Thunder will catch the Golden State Warriors without Draymond Green and possibly without Stephen Curry when the clubs duel in an early-season rematch Thursday night in San Francisco. Green on Wednesday was suspended for five games for his aggressive role in pulling Minnesota's Rudy Gobert away from a Klay Thompson-Jaden McDaniels scuffle early in the Timberwolves' 104-101 win on Tuesday. Green, Thompson and McDaniels were ejected just 1:43 into the contest. The Warriors already were without Curry, who complained of a sore right knee that required an MRI exam. Golden State reported no damage, and Warriors coach Steve Kerr, while acknowledging his star could miss a couple of games, was happy to label Curry day-to-day. The Thunder were without star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander when the Warriors stole a 141-139 road win on Nov. 3. Curry was the hero of the night, getting a buzzer-beating layup up and over Chet Holmgren to cap a 30-point performance. The Warriors outrebounded the hosts 38-32 in the win, with Green gathering in five to go with 15 points and three assists.
11-16-23 | Thunder v. Warriors UNDER 227.5 | Top | 128-109 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 25 m | Show |

The Warriors outrebounded the hosts 38-32 in the win, with Green gathering in five to go with 15 points and three assists. Gilgeous-Alexander returned from a sprained left knee in Oklahoma City's next game, and the Thunder have won four of five since. The All-Star put up an average of 33.8 points in those contests.
11-16-23 | Bengals v. Ravens OVER 46 | Top | 20-34 | Win | 100 | 10 h 26 m | Show |
Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are in a familiar spot - leading the AFC North through Week 10. The past two seasons, they've been passed down the stretch by Cincinnati. A win this week would make that prospect a good deal less likely in 2023. The Ravens host the Bengals on Thursday night with a chance to sweep the season series against Cincinnati and take a 2 1/2-game lead over the last-place Bengals. Every team in the AFC North has a winning record, and Baltimore's 33-31 loss to Cleveland last weekend tightened the race considerably.

11-16-23 | Coyotes -115 v. Blue Jackets | Top | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 9 m | Show |
The Arizona Coyotes will look to rebound and find consistency in their game when they visit the struggling Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night. After starting the season better than many expected, the Coyotes have not linked a pair of wins together since the fourth and fifth games of the campaign. Over their last eight games, they have alternated wins and losses, with their most recent victory a 7-5 win over the Nashville Predators on Saturday before falling to the Western Conference rival Dallas Stars 4-3 in overtime on Tuesday. While Arizona has remained competitive despite inconsistency, they have struggled to hold onto leads late in games, allowing a 3-2 lead to slip in the final five minutes against Dallas, eventually leading to the overtime defeat.
11-16-23 | Devils v. Penguins -1.5 | Top | 5-2 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 59 m | Show |
The biggest questions surrounding Thursday's game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and visiting New Jersey Devils are whether it will be a clash of each team's top player, and which team's streak will continue. Penguins center Sidney Crosby is expected to be there, and he's flying, coming off a four-point night that helped Pittsburgh win its fifth straight game. Devils center Jack Hughes has a shot to return Thursday from a right shoulder injury, according to coach Lindy Ruff. Hughes has missed the past four games, and New Jersey has lost three in a row. Crosby, 36, has not let age slow him. He leads Pittsburgh in goals with 10 and in points with 19 after he had a hat trick plus an assist Tuesday in a 5-3 win against the Blue Jackets at Columbus.
11-16-23 | Boston College v. Pittsburgh -3 | Top | 16-24 | Win | 100 | 10 h 45 m | Show |
Boston College brings the baggage of its first loss in six games to Pitt on Thursday night, but the Panthers are unpacking much bigger problems. The Eagles (6-4, 3-3 ACC) had a five-game winning streak snapped last week when Virginia Tech scored 35 straight points en route to a 48-22 victory. BC was outgained 600-262 (including 363-124 on the ground) in suffering its first defeat since Sept. 23.
11-16-23 | Boston College v. Pittsburgh UNDER 46 | Top | 16-24 | Win | 100 | 10 h 33 m | Show |
Things are so bleak for Pitt at the moment that the university's athletic director put out a statement to the Post-Gazzette on Monday saying, in part, that "this season is not up to Coach Narduzzi's or Pitt's standards" before indicating that Narduzzi will be back in 2024 to help turn around the program he helped resurrect with an ACC championship and consecutive Top 25 finishes the past two seasons. The Panthers have already clinched the worst finish in Narduzzi's nine seasons at the helm. First priority for Pitt on Thursday is finding a way to slow BC quarterback Thomas Castellanos, who ranks second in the country among quarterbacks with 806 rushing yards. He also has 10 rushing touchdowns. Veilleux, meanwhile, has minus-14 net rushing yards on the season and has more interceptions (eight) than passing touchdowns (seven). Yarnell is just 5 of 8 for 123 yards and a touchdown in limited action. The Panthers have scored a total of 44 points during their four-game losing streak. Pitt leads the all-time series 17-15. BC has won the last two matchups.

11-15-23 | Kings v. Lakers UNDER 235.5 | Top | 125-110 | Win | 100 | 10 h 28 m | Show |
With De'Aaron Fox back in the fold, the Sacramento Kings visit the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, looking to solve what has ailed them on the road in the early part of the season. Fox returned from a five-game absence Monday to score 28 points with six assists in 36 minutes of a 132-120 home victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. But outside of its own building, Sacramento is just 1-3 and on a three-game road losing streak. The last time Fox took the court before Monday, it was in a 132-127 overtime victory over the Lakers at home on Oct. 29. Fox sprained his right ankle in that game but looked as spry as ever in his most recent game.
11-15-23 | Ducks v. Avalanche -1.5 | Top | 2-8 | Win | 100 | 9 h 15 m | Show |
Down 1-0 and with the Kraken having appeared to score another goal, the Colorado Avalanche were reeling early Mondy night in Seattle. But coach Jared Bednar successfully challenged the short-handed tally -- a move that seemed to turn things around for Colorado, which scored the next five goals to win 5-1. Instead of losing their third straight game, the Avalanche looked like the team that rolled through the postseason in 2021-22. They will try to build on that momentum shift when they host the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night. Anaheim is on the second game of a back-to-back after rallying to win 3-2 at Nashville on Tuesday night. Colorado still won't have winger Artturi Lehkonen, who is on injured reserve with an upper-body injury. Center Andrew Cogliano and defensemen Samuel Girard and Josh Manson were out Monday with injuries as well, and are listed as day-to-day. Those absences opened up opportunities for others. Defensemen Sam Malinski and Caleb Jones were inserted into the lineup, with Malinski making his NHL debut and Jones his Avalanche debut. Colorado didn't practice Tuesday and had no additional update on the injured players. Despite not having key components, the Avalanche played well. Jonathan Drouin, who was a healthy scratch against the Kraken last Thursday, scored his first goal of the season on Monday night.
11-15-23 | Celtics -4.5 v. 76ers | Top | 117-107 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show |
The Philadelphia 76ers won't have much time to dwell on their 132-126 loss Tuesday to the Indiana Pacers in the NBA in-season tournament. A night after seeing their eight-game winning streak snap, the 76ers host the rival Boston Celtics on Wednesday. Joel Embiid hit all 17 free throws and finished with 39 points and 12 rebounds. De'Anthony Melton scored 30 points, Tyrese Maxey added 27 and Tobias Harris had 22. But while the Sixers pulled within four twice in the final 30 seconds, it wasn't enough.
11-15-23 | Bucks v. Raptors OVER 227.5 | Top | 128-112 | Win | 100 | 8 h 54 m | Show |
The Milwaukee Bucks will be looking for a better result when they visit the Toronto Raptors for the second time in two weeks Wednesday night. The Bucks were dominated 130-111 on their first visit of the season to Toronto on Nov. 1. Both teams go into Wednesday after winning on Monday. The Raptors returned from a 2-2 road trip and opened a four-game homestand with a 111-107 comeback victory over the Washington Wizards after trailing by 23 points. The Bucks, who had lost their previous two games, defeated the visiting Chicago Bulls 118-109. In their game against Washington, the Raptors still trailed by 15 points early in the fourth quarter and finished the game on a 21-1 run. Pascal Siakam hit the go-ahead basket with eight seconds to play and finished with a season-best 39 points -- 29 in the second half. It was the fourth-largest comeback in franchise history and the team's second largest fourth-quarter comeback. The Raptors overcame a 22-point deficit to defeat the host San Antonio Spurs on Nov. 5.
11-15-23 | Flyers v. Hurricanes OVER 6 | Top | 3-1 | Loss | -120 | 8 h 38 m | Show |
The willingness to make changes has been part of coach Rod Brind'Amour's approach with the Carolina Hurricanes. That paid off during the weekend with a split of games in the Sunshine State. Now it's back home for a visit from the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night in Raleigh, N.C. The Hurricanes used lineup changes and line adjustments in a 4-0 victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night. Carolina had lost 5-2 at the Florida Panthers on Friday.

11-14-23 | Cal-Irvine v. USC -12.5 | Top | 70-60 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 39 m | Show |
No. 16 Southern California continues its early-season homestand on Tuesday night when it hosts UC Irvine in Los Angeles. The Trojans (2-0) followed an 82-69 season-opening defeat of Kansas State in Las Vegas on Nov. 6 with an 85-59 blowout of Cal State Bakersfield on Thursday. USC never trailed in Thursday's rout, which was the first of three home games for the Trojans before they travel to the San Diego area for a Thanksgiving weekend tournament also featuring Seton Hall, Oklahoma and Iowa. Freshman guard Isaiah Collier scored 19 points against the Roadrunners after an 18-point debut vs. Kansas State. Boogie Ellis was one of five Trojans who scored in double figures on Thursday with 11 points after a 24-point, eight-rebound performance in the season opener. Ellis also had five assists and three steals against the Wildcats.
11-14-23 | Ducks v. Predators -1.5 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 0 m | Show |
The Predators will be trying to turn around their fortunes after dropping the past three games, giving up 17 goals along the way. Nashville had leads of 2-0 and 4-2 against the visiting Arizona Coyotes on Saturday, but it gave up three straight goals over a 12-minute span of the second period and two more over the final 3 1/2 minutes of the third in a 7-5 loss. The Predators' penalty kill success rate has fallen to 68.1 percent, second-lowest in the NHL.
11-14-23 | Spurs v. Thunder OVER 236.5 | Top | 87-123 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 55 m | Show |
Two of the early favorites for NBA Rookie of the Year meet when Victor Wembanyama and the visiting San Antonio Spurs face Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. Both teams are looking for their first in-season tournament wins. Oklahoma City has dropped games to Sacramento and Golden State, while San Antonio lost its tournament opener to Minnesota. Wembanyama, the No. 1 pick in this year's NBA Draft, has been fantastic, averaging 19.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.4 blocks. In Sunday's loss to Miami, Wembanyama was just 8-for-22 from the field but dished out seven assists to go with 18 points and 11 boards.
11-14-23 | Heat v. Hornets UNDER 222.5 | Top | 111-105 | Win | 100 | 10 h 43 m | Show |
The Miami Heat have shown the ability to overcome tough situations and win games; the Charlotte Hornets would be wise to pick up that trait. The teams, with vastly different trends, meet Tuesday night in Charlotte, N.C. The Heat hold a five-game winning streak following Sunday night's 118-113 comeback victory at San Antonio. Spoelstra called it a "character game," and that's probably what the Hornets need to get going in the right direction.
11-14-23 | Flames v. Canadiens OVER 6 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 10 m | Show |
The rebuilding Montreal Canadiens are off to a strong start this season -- albeit in big part thanks to their overtime success -- but received a valuable lesson about the importance of maintaining their focus in their last outing. Coming off Sunday's 5-2 loss to the visiting Vancouver Canucks that snapped a two-game winning streak, the Canadiens will look to regroup when they host the struggling Calgary Flames on Tuesday. Montreal claimed a thrilling overtime win over the Boston Bruins on Saturday but failed to match Vancouver's performance the next night.
11-14-23 | Akron v. Eastern Michigan UNDER 39 | Top | 27-30 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 19 m | Show |
11-14-23 | Western Michigan v. Northern Illinois UNDER 56.5 | Top | 0-24 | Win | 100 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
11-14-23 | Wofford v. Tennessee OVER 142 | Top | 61-82 | Win | 100 | 9 h 20 m | Show |
No. 7 Tennessee scored exactly 80 points in each of its first two victories of the season. The Volunteers (2-0) may need more than that to beat high-scoring Wofford (2-0) on Tuesday night in Knoxville, Tenn. The Terriers pulled out a 99-98 victory on Saturday against High Point after scoring 85 in their opener. History is on Tennessee's side, having swept the seven previous meetings with Wofford from 1952 to 2004. The Volunteers are coming off an impressive 80-70 win Friday night at Wisconsin, their first road victory against a current Big Ten school since 1992. Northern Colorado transfer Dalton Knecht led the Volunteers with 24 points against the Badgers. Josiah-Jordan James added 14 points and Jonas Aidoo and Jordan Gainey each had 10.
11-13-23 | Cavs v. Kings UNDER 221.5 | Top | 120-132 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 0 m | Show |
Two teams looking to build upon impressive wins go head-to-head on Monday night when the Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Sacramento Kings. After uninspiring starts to the season, the Cavaliers and Kings showed flashes of their 2023 playoff form when Cleveland won 118-110 at Golden State on Saturday, one day after Sacramento defeated the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder 105-98. Finally able to settle into a rotation with Jarrett Allen and Caris LeVert, the Cavaliers used balanced scoring to get the better of Golden State in the continuation of a four-game trip. LeVert had 22 points off the bench to pace Cleveland, while all five starters -- Donovan Mitchell (21 points), Darius Garland (19), Evan Mobley (19), Max Strus (16) and Allen (12) -- also scored in double figures. Even backup Dean Wade, who had just eight points, contributed two key 3-pointers as the Cavaliers were staving off a Warriors rally early in the fourth quarter. Cleveland coach J.B. Bickerstaff singled out LeVert afterward, taking time to point out a buzzer-beating tip-in at the end of the third period after the Cavaliers had blown a 17-point lead to fall behind by one.
11-13-23 | Avalanche v. Seattle Kraken +130 | Top | 5-1 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 50 m | Show |
The Avs lost their last three road games by scores of 4-0 (at Pittsburgh), 4-0 (at Buffalo) and 7-0 (at Vegas). It's only the third time in NHL history that a team suffered three consecutive shutout losses on the road by a four-goal or larger margin. The other teams to do that are Chicago in March 1968 and the Minnesota North Stars in December 1974.
11-13-23 | Islanders v. Oilers UNDER 6.5 | Top | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 10 m | Show |
Fans at UBS Arena chanted "Fire Lane Lambert!" as the clock wound down on the New York Islanders' fourth straight loss Saturday night. But about 15 hours later and 2,500 miles across the continent, the Edmonton Oilers were the ones to make a coaching change just in time for the Islanders to begin their potentially season-defining road trip. Kris Knoblauch will preside over the Oilers' bench in his NHL head-coaching debut Monday night, when Edmonton hosts the Islanders in a battle of teams mired in early-season skids. Both teams were off Sunday after playing Saturday. The Oilers snapped a four-game losing streak in Jay Woodcroft's final game by beating the host Seattle Kraken 4-1, while the Islanders' struggles continued with a 4-1 loss to the visiting Washington Capitals. The win wasn't enough to spare Woodcroft, who was fired along with assistant coach Dave Manson with the Oilers off to a 3-9-1 start. Edmonton replaced Mason with Paul Coffey, a Hockey Hall of Famer and franchise icon. The Oilers' seven points are the second-fewest in the NHL ahead of only the San Jose Sharks, whose 3-2 win over Edmonton on Thursday night was the final straw for general manager Ken Holland and CEO of hockey operations Jeff Jackson.
11-13-23 | Broncos v. Bills OVER 47 | Top | 24-22 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 11 m | Show |
The Bills have won three straight games against the Broncos, all coming by at least 10 points. It is the first time either team has won three straight games in the series, all by double digits, since the Bills did so in six straight when the teams were in the AFL (1963-66).
11-13-23 | Bulls v. Bucks -9 | Top | 109-118 | Push | 0 | 8 h 9 m | Show |
The Milwaukee Bucks will bid to bounce back from consecutive losses on the road when they host the Chicago Bulls on Monday night. Milwaukee dropped a 126-124 decision to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night and a 112-97 setback to the Orlando Magic two days later. Giannis Antetokounmpo backed up his 54-point night in Indiana with a 35-point, 10-rebound, seven-assist performance vs. Orlando. With Damian Lillard sitting out a second straight game due to a sore left calf, backup point guard Cameron Payne was second on the team in scoring with 14 against the Magic.

11-13-23 | Central Michigan +20.5 v. Florida State | Top | 67-94 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 3 m | Show |
Florida State will be looking to open a season at 2-0 for the first time since the 2020-21 team won its first four games when it hosts Central Michigan Monday night in Tallahassee, Fla. The Seminoles (1-0) opened the season with a 94-67 romp past Kennesaw State Friday night to open a campaign seeking to erase the memories of last season's 0-4 start that became 1-9. The Chippewas (0-2) are coming off a 74-64 home loss to Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday after losing their opener 89-59 at Oklahoma earlier in the week. Junior Anthony Pritchard, a transfer from Tulsa, leads Central Michigan in scoring with 26 points in the two games. His average of 13.0 ppg is the only one in double figures for the Chippewas. Chippewas coach Tony Barbee lamented his team's lack of consistency in the loss to Monroe.
11-12-23 | Nevada +5 v. Washington | Top | 83-76 | Win | 100 | 10 h 20 m | Show |
So far, so good for Washington. The Huskies' 75-67 win over Northern Kentucky on Thursday in Seattle gives the Huskies a 2-0 record and allowed them to start a stretch of back-to-back games against NCAA Tournament teams from last year on the right foot. Washington should step up a little bit in class Sunday night when it welcomes Nevada to town. The Huskies will probably hope for a little more balance than they got against Northern Kentucky. Keion Brooks and Sahvir Wheeler combined for two-thirds of their points Thursday. Brooks scored 19 of his career-high 32 points in the second half and grabbed 10 rebounds. Wheeler, the Kentucky transfer, added 18 points and seven assists.
11-12-23 | Nuggets v. Rockets OVER 216 | Top | 104-107 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 43 m | Show |
Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone was unwilling to wait for the less experienced members of his rotation to join the fight against the Golden State Warriors and, with three days between that showdown and the Nuggets' next game, a Sunday road game against the Houston Rockets, Malone opted to lean heavily on his veterans. As is usually the case, Malone pushed the right buttons. The Nuggets fashioned a late rally and claimed a hard-earned 108-105 victory over the Warriors on Wednesday that extended their winning streak to four games. All five Denver starters logged at least 32 minutes. The lone reserve to produce a positive plus/minus was veteran swingman Justin Holiday. With the game in the balance, the Nuggets turned to experienced hands and secured a win against a worthy Western Conference foe. With their next game against the presumably shakier Rockets, Denver could afford to push all of its chips to the center of the table.
11-12-23 | Heat v. Spurs +1.5 | Top | 118-113 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 51 m | Show |
The host San Antonio Spurs look to get back on the winning track when they square off against the surging but short-handed Miami Heat on Sunday in an interconference matchup. The Spurs have lost four straight games, including a 117-110 setback at home to Minnesota on Friday in the team's first game of the NBA's in-season tournament. Victor Wembanyama and Devin Vassell scored 29 points each for San Antonio, with Jeremy Sochan adding 14 and Zach Collins chipping in 11. San Antonio led for the majority of the first half but let the win get away in the third quarter, when it was outscored by 15. The Spurs made a spirited run in the final minutes, cutting their deficit to five points but could not get over the hump. The rally was a change from San Antonio's previous two losses, when it fell by an average of 31 points.
11-12-23 | Blue Jackets v. Rangers -1.5 | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 21 m | Show |
The Rangers beat the Wild, 4-1, at home on Thursday, extending their point streak to nine games (8-0-1). It's their second point streak of 9+ games in this calendar year (10 games from Jan 23 -- Feb 18). Prior to that, they hadn't had one since October-November 2015
11-12-23 | Stars v. Wild +105 | Top | 8-3 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 36 m | Show |
The Dallas Stars will go for their third straight victory when they visit the Minnesota Wild on Sunday evening in St. Paul, Minn. Dallas just notched road wins against the Winnipeg Jets and the Columbus Blue Jackets in the past three days. The Stars have won nine of their first 13 games and are in first place in the Western Conference's Central Division. Stars coach Peter DeBoer likes what he is seeing from his team as it prepares to face Minnesota. Dallas will be playing on short rest after a 3-2 win over Winnipeg on Saturday evening.

11-12-23 | 49ers v. Jaguars OVER 45 | Top | 34-3 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 54 m | Show |
Jaguars left tackle Cam Robinson spent several hours over three days this week watching cutups from a team not even on Jacksonville’s schedule. Robinson and his fellow linemen broke down clips of the Washington Commanders and former defensive end Chase Young while trying to project how he’d fit with the San Francisco 49ers. So the surging Jaguars (6-2) will be taking an educated guess into Sunday’s game against the reeling 49ers (5-3), a matchup that features Young’s debut with his new team.

11-12-23 | Eastern Washington v. Cincinnati -12 | Top | 73-85 | Push | 0 | 1 h 36 m | Show |
In its season opener, Cincinnati's defense did not match its shooting prowess. In the second game, both elements clicked for the Bearcats. The Bearcats hope to effectively mix both elements again Sunday afternoon when they host Eastern Washington in the second game of the Cincinnati Basketball Tournament. Cincinnati (2-0) enters Sunday coming off two differing performances. In their 69-58 win over Illinois-Chicago on Monday, the Bearcats shot 41.8 percent and misfired on 20 of 25 3-point tries. The rough showing from the offense occurred when it allowed UIC to shoot 43.3 percent from the floor and 2 of 16 from behind the arc. On Friday against Detroit Mercy, Cincinnati scored 60 points by halftime and cruised to a 93-61 rout. The Bearcats shot 62.1 percent in the first half and 49.3 percent overall in a game that saw them hit 16 of 34 3-point tries.
11-11-23 | USC v. Oregon UNDER 77 | Top | 27-36 | Win | 100 | 12 h 50 m | Show |
ixth-ranked Oregon will try to move one game closer to reaching its fourth Pac-12 championship game in five seasons when it welcomes visiting Southern California to Eugene, Ore., on Saturday. The Ducks (8-1, 5-1) held firm at No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday, tops among all one-loss teams. They roll into Saturday's matchup winners of three straight, all by at least 14 points, after last week's 63-19 blowout of Cal. Quarterback Bo Nix enters the game a rising candidate for the Heisman Trophy with 2,723 yards on 235-of-301 passing with 25 touchdowns against just two interceptions. Nix has also rushed for five touchdowns to pace the nation's most prolific scoring offense at 47.4 points per game. USC is second in the nation at 45.5 ppg. The Trojans (7-3, 5-2) have scored no fewer than 32 points in any of their conference games behind reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams. Williams went 27 of 35 for 312 yards with three touchdowns and rushed for another score last week vs. Washington, but the USC defense surrendered a season high in points for the second time in as many weeks in a 52-42 loss. The Trojans gave up 49 points a week prior in a one-point win at Cal and come into Oregon having allowed at least 41 points in five of their last six outings.
11-11-23 | San Diego v. UC San Diego -4.5 | Top | 63-69 | Win | 100 | 11 h 44 m | Show |
11-11-23 | Heat v. Hawks -7 | Top | 117-109 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 57 m | Show |
At the outset of a minimum two-week stretch without their leading scorer, the Miami Heat might need to get creative beginning Saturday at the Atlanta Hawks. Tyler Herro sustained a Grade 2 ankle sprain when he landed on the foot of Memphis' Jaren Jackson Jr. during the first quarter of Wednesday's 108-102 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. Without Herro's 22.9 points per game, where will coach Erik Spoelstra find his offense? Naturally, Bam Adebayo (22.7 points per game) is top of mind after he followed up a triple-double against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday with a season-high 30 points versus the Grizzlies. Jimmy Butler (18.4 ppg) is capable of keeping the scoreboard operator busy. However, he joined fellow forward Caleb Martin in being ruled out for Saturday's game. Butler is dealing with a personal family issue, while Martin is hobbled by a knee injury. The 37-year-old Kyle Lowry stepped up with a season-high 17 points on Wednesday to help Miami notch its third straight win. Lowry is the elder statesman of the team. And perhaps it's time for the youngest member of the club to step up when called upon.
11-11-23 | Bruins v. Canadiens +1.5 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 43 m | Show |
The Boston Bruins have started piling up the wins for a second straight season. While last season's Bruins surged to an NHL-best 65 victories, the competitive nature of games this season has been much tighter despite an 11-1-1 start. The Bruins' 23 points matched the champion Vegas Golden Knights for tops in the league heading into Friday's action. Boston heads north for a Saturday night matchup with the Atlantic Division rival Montreal Canadiens having won five of its last six games. The Bruins played in four straight one-goal contests prior to Thursday's 5-2 win over the New York Islanders.
11-11-23 | Hurricanes -1.5 v. Lightning | Top | 4-0 | Win | 210 | 8 h 30 m | Show |
The fact that Tampa Bay finally took a home loss in regulation on Thursday was not the issue for the Lightning. It was how it all went down. The Lightning, who host the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday, saw Chicago rookie Connor Bedard turn in his best career performance in just over one period of play as the Blackhawks stormed back from two early deficits in a 5-3 win. Bedard, 18, posted two goals and two assists for a 4-2 lead that Tampa Bay could not overcome. Tampa Bay's Nikita Kucherov notched his team-leading 11th goal, giving him five tallies in four games.
11-11-23 | West Virginia v. Oklahoma OVER 59.5 | Top | 20-59 | Win | 100 | 8 h 23 m | Show |
With three games to play, West Virginia and Oklahoma are on the edge of the race for a berth in the Big 12 Championship Game. Even so, the teams are in many different places entering a matchup Saturday in Norman, Okla. West Virginia (6-3, 4-2 Big 12) has built some momentum in recent weeks, winning back-to-back games. It's a significant turnaround from West Virginia's two-game losing streak in October. No. 17 Oklahoma (7-2, 4-2) dropped back-to-back, one-possession games -- a 38-33 loss to Kansas on Oct. 28 and a 27-24 loss to Oklahoma State last weekend in the expected finale of the Bedlam series. Sooners quarterback Dillon Gabriel said he hopes the team will respond after falling out of the College Football Playoff race.

11-11-23 | Bucks v. Magic OVER 231 | Top | 97-112 | Loss | -112 | 5 h 17 m | Show |
The Orlando Magic will try to avoid a three-game losing skid when they welcome the visiting Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday for an Eastern Conference matchup. Milwaukee comes into Orlando off a 126-124 loss on Thursday at Indiana, despite 54 points from Giannis Antetokounmpo. The outburst in which Antetokounmpo shot 19-of-25 from the floor and 16-of-18 from the foul line marked his season scoring-high, and was the seventh 50-plus-point game of his career. Thursday was the fourth time in the calendar year Antetokounmpo reached 50 points, after doing so three times from Jan. 3 through Feb. 2 last season. The two-time Most Valuable Player registered his season high one night after recording a season-low of 15 points in just 21:52 of playing time Wednesday in a 120-118 win over Detroit after receiving two technical foul calls.

11-11-23 | Indiana v. Illinois OVER 44 | Top | 45-48 | Win | 100 | 2 h 38 m | Show |
Indiana might not embrace the common ground with a neighboring Big Ten rival ahead of a Saturday afternoon date at Illinois in a Big Ten crossover game. But the Hoosiers (3-6, 1-5) and Fighting Illini (4-5, 2-4) can't ignore it exists. Neither team performed to the level it had hoped and through nine games is grasping at faint hope for a postseason. But there is optimism thanks to upset wins by both programs last week. Indiana (3-6, 1-5) recorded its first conference win of the season, a 20-14 triumph over Wisconsin at home to snap a four-game losing streak. The Hoosiers will try to earn their first road victory of the season in Champaign.

11-10-23 | Cal-Riverside v. Utah OVER 140 | Top | 53-82 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 58 m | Show |
The game at Utah will be the first of four Power 5 road trips for UC Riverside, which registered a program-record 22 wins in 2022-23. In the Highlanders' season-opening win, Barrington Hargress scored a team-high 16 points. Jhaylon Martinez added 13 points and Luke Turner chipped in with 11. Utah handed UC Riverside lopsided losses in the programs' previous two matchups -- 88-42 in 2014 and 85-67 in 2016. The Utes, in their one-sided opener, used a 14-2 run late in the first half to go up by 24 at the break. Rollie Worster scored all 15 of his points before halftime, and he also finished with eight assists, a career-high six steals and five rebounds.

The San Antonio Spurs and visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, a pair of teams going in opposite directions in over the past week, square off on Friday in the Alamo City as they begin play in the NBA's in-season tournament. The Timberwolves head to San Antonio carrying a four-game winning streak and on the heels of a 122-101 home victory over New Orleans on Wednesday. Minnesota also defeated powerhouses Denver and Boston in building its streak, and all five of its wins this season have come at home. Anthony Edwards led Minnesota over New Orleans with 26 points. Karl-Anthony Towns added 23 points on 9-for-12 shooting and Rudy Gobert registered a double-double with 17 points and 21 rebounds. Minnesota's defense was stifling, coming a late-3-pointer away from keeping its opponent under 100 points for the third time in the last four games.
11-10-23 | Jazz +5 v. Grizzlies | Top | 127-121 | Win | 100 | 10 h 53 m | Show |
The Utah Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies play each other for the second time in 10 days Friday, but things are a bit different this time around. For starters, this will be an in-season tournament game and will be played in Memphis. The Jazz, who beat the Grizzlies 133-109 on Nov. 1 in Salt Lake City, will also be playing without their starting center. Walker Kessler is sidelined for at least two weeks with an injured left elbow.
11-10-23 | Capitals v. Devils -171 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -171 | 9 h 45 m | Show |
The New Jersey Devils will battle the Washington Capitals Friday night in Newark, N.J., in a game that will have a hard time matching the action from their last encounter. Washington visited New Jersey on Oct. 25, and that night the Capitals scored the only three goals in the first period, the Devils notched all four in the second and the Capitals scored three in the third for a 6-4 win. That game is notable for being the only time this season Washington has scored more than three goals, as the Capitals rank 31st in the league with an average of two goals per game. Captain Alex Ovechkin -- in pursuit of Wayne Gretzky's goals record -- has scored twice in 11 games for new coach Spencer Carbery.
11-10-23 | Hurricanes v. Panthers +115 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 115 | 9 h 35 m | Show |
The Carolina Hurricanes are the kings of overtime -- in the regular season, at least. On Friday night, the Hurricanes are set to visit the Florida Panthers in Sunrise, Fla. Both teams have won two straight games. But Carolina is working on a much more impressive streak, winning 10 straight regular-season games over the past year that have been settled in overtime. It's tied for the second-longest streak in NHL history. On Tuesday, Carolina beat the visiting Buffalo Sabres, 3-2, on Martin Necas' overtime goal. Sebastian Aho had the primary assist, making the pass that led to Necas' deflection.

The early season contest between the Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic will have a different perspective with a visit to Mexico City on Thursday night. According to the NBA, it marks the first time the Hawks will play in Mexico. The Magic played games against the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz in Mexico in December 2018. Orlando won both games on that visit and will look to bounce back from a 117-102 home loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. The Magic led by as many as 15 points before wilting. Orlando was outscored 64-36 in the second half. The Magic made 7 of 11 3-point attempts (63.6 percent) in the first half but were a frigid 1 of 16 (6.2 percent) in the second half.

No. 11 Louisville looks to extend its 10-game home winning streak Thursday night against a Virginia team that has already played road spoiler once this season. The Cardinals (8-1, 5-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) are 5-0 at home this season and haven't lost there since Sept. 16, 2022, against Florida State. The Cavaliers (2-7, 1-4) were victorious on their most recent visit to Louisville in 2021, overcoming a 30-13 fourth-quarter deficit for a 34-33 win. More recently, Virginia gained some confidence on the road with a 31-27 victory at then-No. 10 North Carolina Oct. 21 and a hard-fought 29-26 overtime loss at Miami Oct. 28.

11-09-23 | Islanders +130 v. Bruins | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 32 m | Show |
The Islanders have gone just 1-1-2 since banking back-to-back wins twice within their first seven games. Tuesday's 4-2 home loss to the Minnesota Wild was their first regulation setback since Oct. 24. The lone win during the current run was Semyon Varlamov's 32-save effort in a 3-0 shutout victory in Washington last Thursday. Maine native Oliver Wahlstrom, who was a healthy scratch for two games before aligning with captain Anders Lee and Mathew Barzal against the Wild, scored his first goal, took four shots, and blocked two. Noah Dobson also scored a goal, but the Isles were shut out in the third period and now have a minus-5 goal differential (7-2) in the final frame over their last four games. On the whole, coach Lane Lambert believes his team needs to re-establish its identity.
11-09-23 | Blackhawks v. Lightning -1.5 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 22 m | Show |
On an evening when two players had memorable outings, the Tampa Bay Lightning closed out an erratic four-game road trip in Montreal on Tuesday with a win before a brief two-game homestand. Tampa Bay will host the young Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night -- two clubs who famously met in the 2015 Stanley Cup Final. The Lightning lost that championship series in six games, and there was no Cup-like celebration in the Tampa Bay dressing room after Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Canadiens. But there was still plenty of joy in the legendary Quebec building from the visiting side. The team celebrated the first career NHL win of 29-year-old goaltender Matt Tomkins, who was brought in to support Jonas Johansson when star netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy underwent back surgery during camp.

11-08-23 | Kings v. Golden Knights -120 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -120 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
After dominating the headlines with their season-opening 12-game point streak, the Vegas Golden Knights find themselves on the other end of streak talk when they host the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday night in Las Vegas. The defending Stanley Cup champion Golden Knights suffered their first regulation loss of the season on Sunday at Anaheim, allowing four consecutive third-period goals to the Ducks in a 4-2 loss. That snapped a streak of 20 straight games without a regulation loss (16-0-4) in the regular season for Vegas dating back to March 28 when it lost to Edmonton, 7-4. The Golden Knights also opened the season with seven straight victories before suffering an overtime loss to Montreal, the best start in NHL history for a defending Stanley Cup champion. Now the focus turns to the Kings. Los Angeles opened the season with six straight road wins, the best mark in the NHL, and has won three straight overall. The six-game road winning streak is the longest for the Kings since they won eight in a row in 2014.
11-08-23 | Arizona State v. Mississippi State OVER 130 | Top | 56-71 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 13 m | Show |
Arizona State and Mississippi State both reached the NCAA Tournament last season, so both should get a good test when they meet for their season opener in the Barstool Sports Invitational on Wednesday night in Chicago. ASU went 23-13 a season ago and won a play-in game against Nevada (98-73) before losing to TCU (72-70) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Sun Devils return just three players from that team, and Hurley brought in seven transfers from other Division I programs to restock the roster.
11-08-23 | Spurs +10.5 v. Knicks | Top | 105-126 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 17 m | Show |
Fans in New York are looking forward to the opportunity to watch potentially generational talent Victor Wembanyama for the first time Wednesday night. Wembanyama and the rest of the San Antonio Spurs are just looking to avoid once again flirting with making an ignoble bit of history. The Spurs will aim to bounce back from another lopsided defeat Wednesday, when they conclude a two-game road trip by visiting the New York Knicks in the first game of the season between the teams. Both teams were off Tuesday after playing Monday, when the Spurs were routed by the Indiana Pacers 152-111 and the host Knicks mounted a fourth-quarter surge to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 111-97. The 152 points were the most allowed in regulation by the Spurs under Gregg Popovich, who is in his 28th season as head coach. San Antonio edged the Washington Wizards 157-153 in double overtime on Feb. 25, 2022. The defeat also marked the second time this season the Spurs have lost by at least 40 points. They fell to the Clippers 123-83 on Oct. 29. The 41-point margin of defeat Monday was the third-largest for San Antonio in the Popovich era behind a 143-100 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Nov. 2, 2022, and a 111-69 loss to the Chicago Bulls on March 5, 1997. The Spurs, generally known for stingy defense under Popovich, are allowing 125.9 points per game this season, second-most in the NBA. They allowed an NBA-worst 123.1 points per game last season. A pair of teams coming off eventful games are slated to meet for the first time this season Tuesday night, when the Islanders host the Wild in Elmont, N.Y. Both teams have been off since Saturday. The Islanders frittered away a three-goal lead and fell to the visiting Carolina Hurricanes, 4-3, in overtime. The Wild overcame a three-goal deficit and edged the host New York Rangers, 5-4, in the shootout. For the Islanders, the loss was the second in a six-day span in which they blew a multi-goal lead. New York scored the first two goals against the Detroit Red Wings in a 4-3 overtime loss on Oct. 30. The Islanders also allowed a pair of unanswered goals after taking a 2-0 lead against the Buffalo Sabres on Oct. 14 and against the Ottawa Senators on Oct. 26.
