Western Michigan v. Miami-OH -9.5 | | 57-62 |
Loss | -105 | 5 h 46 m | Show |
The Broncos are just 7-20-1 ATS against teams with a losing record in addition to a 2-5-1 ATS current streak on the road. |
02-08-22 |
North Carolina +1 v. Clemson | | 79-77 |
Win | 100 | 3 h 25 m | Show |
The Tar Heels re going to bounce right back after their last game against Duke that saw them drop a 20 point decision. I'm sure the public will be all over the Tigers but we're going the other way. |
02-07-22 |
Knicks v. Jazz -7.5 | Top | 104-113 |
Win | 100 | 10 h 26 m | Show |
After reaching the postseason last year, the New York Knicks were supposed to kick on and build from there. But that hasn't been the case this season as a string of poor performances has had folks questioning whether last year's exploits were a fluke. Kemba Walker's acquisition over the summer brought a lot of hype to the organization but has provided the Knicks with nothing in terms of performances as Walker has been called out for his defensive frailties. Veteran teammate Julius Randle has also come under immense scrutiny this season while another veteran player in Derrick Rose continues to be plagued by injuries. |
02-07-22 |
Hurricanes v. Maple Leafs -1.5 | | 3-4 |
Loss | -100 | 8 h 3 m | Show |
Everyone is on the Carolina Hurricanes in this one, and I get it when you're getting a plus price with a Stanley Cup contender, but the truth is I think the Leafs will be sharper without the travel. |
02-03-22 |
Nicholls State -9.5 v. Incarnate Word | | 63-60 |
Loss | -109 | 8 h 4 m | Show |
The Colonels are starting to be a reliable road team after covering 4 of their last 5 games. The Cardinals are just 3-9 ATS as a dog. |
02-03-22 |
Heat -5.5 v. Spurs | | 112-95 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 33 m | Show |
Both teams have had tremendous issues while dealing with injuries but with most a game time decision, my guest is the Heat will have definitive man advantage when this one tips off. |
02-02-22 |
Tulane +17 v. Houston | | 62-73 |
Win | 100 | 11 h 8 m | Show |
With a game against Cincinnati on the Horizon, I think we'll find the Cougars looking ahead. They'll win this by double digits but the 17 is too much. |
02-02-22 |
Hornets +5 v. Celtics | | 107-113 |
Loss | -110 | 11 h 39 m | Show |
This is still a shooting mis-match even though both teams come in as moving parts in opposite directions. The Celtics struggle to touch 44% on a typical night why Charlotte is still one of the more reliable teams on offense. |
02-01-22 |
UC-Davis +5.5 v. Cal-Riverside | | 65-60 |
Win | 100 | 10 h 49 m | Show |
This is a game that Davis can win outright. Cal-Riverside can't be relied on to come back when down because they are one of the worst 3-pt shooting team in the country. Davis the better offensive team in this one. |
02-01-22 |
Wizards +11.5 v. Bucks | | 98-112 |
Loss | -110 | 7 h 60 m | Show |
This is a tough Milwaukee Bucks team to rely on, even against the Washington Wizards. Washington goes through spurts of bad basketball but once in awhile they play a top team and show 48 minutes of what they could be. |
02-01-22 |
South Carolina +8.5 v. Mississippi State | Top | 64-78 |
Loss | -110 | 7 h 42 m | Show |
The South Carolina defense is one of the best in the country. They'd be a force on the national scene if they could limit their turnovers. This number is too high, they have a chance to win outright. |
01-31-22 |
Northern Colorado v. Portland State +4 | | 76-79 |
Win | 100 | 11 h 4 m | Show |
Northern Colordo is one of the worst defensive teams in College Basketball, allowing almost 46% shooting against this season. |
01-31-22 |
Oilers v. Senators +1.5 | Top | 2-3 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 38 m | Show |
The Oilers still haven't shown me enough consistency to back them, especially when they face the Eastern Conference teams where they've lost 6 of their last 7. They're just 3-7 the game after scoring five or more goals. I'll take the insurance with the Senators tonight. |
01-31-22 |
Northern Arizona +13.5 v. Southern Utah | | 66-78 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 43 m | Show |
This is a headscratching number. This looks like the books are begging you to take Northern Arziona. Both of these teams are horrible on the defensive end which is going to keep this game within the number. |
01-31-22 |
UMKC +6.5 v. Western Illinois | | 83-75 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 23 m | Show |
The Kangaroos are one of the better defensive teas in CBB, which makes me comfortable getting 6.5 points with a teams that could win straight up. |
01-30-22 |
Jazz v. Wolves -2 | | 106-126 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 17 m | Show |
Minnesota dropped its previous two contests, most recently versus the NBA's best record holders in the Phoenix Suns on Friday evening. The Timberwolves put together a valiant effort in the second night of a back-to-back, but ultimately fell 134-124. Anthony Edwards led the team with 27 points while Malik Beasley added 26, including 18 in the fourth quarter. Utah has lost four straight games and 10 of their last 12 matchups overall, with a 119-109 loss at the hands of the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday. Danuel House led the Jazz with 21 points in the defeat. |
01-30-22 |
Cavs -7.5 v. Pistons | Top | 105-115 |
Loss | -110 | 4 h 24 m | Show |
There's no comparison on the offensive end between these two teams. The Cavs shoot almost 47%, if they are near that number the Pistons will never keep pace. |
01-30-22 |
Pittsburgh +4 v. Boston College | | 56-69 |
Loss | -110 | 2 h 21 m | Show |
Boston College is coming off of a couple of bad losses against Wake Forest and UNC that saw them shoot a terrible combined 29% from the field, and an even worse combined 17% from beyond the arc. Pitt hasn’t fared much better in the ACC this season, matching BC’s 3-6 conference record. But at least the Panthers have won 3 of their last 6, including an earlier victory over the Eagles on January 8th. |
01-30-22 |
Blazers v. Bulls -5 | | 116-130 |
Win | 100 | 2 h 41 m | Show |
It's the start of a very busy week for the Bulls as they play four games in six days beginning with today's encounter against the Portland Trailblazers. Portland, very much like the Bulls, are a banged up basketball team . The Blazers are without future Hall of Fame player,Damian Lillard who underwent abdominal surgery two weeks ago and will be re-evaluated in four weeks. |
01-30-22 |
Quinnipiac +2 v. Siena | | 76-85 |
Loss | -107 | 1 h 40 m | Show |
There's a clear talent and coaching edge in this one. Siena's offense is one of the worst in the nation. |
01-29-22 |
Eastern Washington v. Montana -6 | | 59-61 |
Loss | -110 | 7 h 15 m | Show |
The Grizzlies are 9-2 ats in their last 11 games as a favorite. They've also covered six of their last home games. |
01-29-22 |
Raptors v. Heat -3.5 | | 124-120 |
Loss | -105 | 7 h 20 m | Show |
The Miami Heat have the feel-good story of the season. Undrafted rookie Omer Yurtseven has turned out to be a real diamond in the rough. He’s now the Rookie of the Week, after averaging 15.2 points, 12.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals in his last six games. Miami are looking deeper this season, with the improvement of their youngsters. Superstar center Bam Adebayo has been upgraded to questionable for this game, which could allow him to return after injuring his thumb in December. His presence makes the Miami Heat better at both ends of the floor. |
01-29-22 |
South Florida v. Tulsa -5.5 | Top | 45-76 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 3 m | Show |
Tulsa ranks second in three-point field goal percentage (40.7), third in turnovers per game (11.2), fourth in assist-turnover ratio (1.45), 15th in fewest turnovers (157), 20th in three-point field goals made per game (8.9), 20th in won-lost percentage (85.7), 30th in three-point field goals made (124), 32nd in field goal percentage (45.1), 35th in free throw percentage (76.3), 37th in turnover margin (4.79), 43rd in scoring offense (74.1), 49th in scoring margin (13.4). That's really all that needs to be said. This is a complete mismatch. |
01-29-22 |
Kings v. 76ers -10.5 | Top | 101-103 |
Loss | -103 | 7 h 10 m | Show |
When the 76ers visited the Kings on Nov. 22, the severely shorthanded Sixers took a 102-94 victory, despite missing Embiid, Harris, Seth Curry, and Danny Green. So now that they are much healthier, there's no way the Kings stay within the number. |
01-29-22 |
Pacers v. Mavs -10.5 | | 105-132 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 33 m | Show |
The Pacers are coming off a 113-110 overtime victory in Oklahoma City on Friday that saw the Blue & Gold rally from a 16-point third-quarter deficit to eke out the win. The biggest catalyst in the victory was the return of Domantas Sabonis. Indiana's All-Star forward returned to the floor after missing the previous four games with a sprained ankle and didn't miss a beat, putting together another virtuoso performance. Sabonis registered his fifth triple-double of the season with 24 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 assists, all team highs. As always, the biggest challenge against Dallas will be finding a way to slow down Luka Doncic. The 22-year-old phenom is averaging 25.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game and has helped lead the Mavs to wins in 12 of their last 15 contests. |
01-29-22 |
California v. USC -12 | | 72-79 |
Loss | -110 | 5 h 57 m | Show |
Cal is on a six-game losing streak because it can’t score. Even when it does have a little luck putting up points, it’s only because the games are already over. USC will destroy the Bears on the boards – it out-rebounded them 38-24 the first time around – and there won’t be any real problems scoring on the inside. The loss to Stanford a few days ago should only make things worse for Cal. The Trojans weren’t bad, but they never got into a rhythm. That won’t be a problem. There won’t be enough happening from the outside to matter, and Cal won’t get the rebound in way too many one-and-done possessions. |
01-29-22 |
NC-Greensboro v. Wofford -6.5 | | 66-85 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 44 m | Show |
Wofford shoots almost 47% from the field while the Spartans are a team you can't rely on offensively. The Terriers win this by double digits. |
01-29-22 |
Connecticut -8.5 v. DePaul | | 57-50 |
Loss | -110 | 4 h 20 m | Show |
As UConn continues to gain attention as the season rolls on, there have been a number of reasons for the success, but perhaps none greater than the team’s ability to rebound. The Huskies rank fifth in NCAA Division I in total rebounds per game with 42.11. They rank fourth in offensive rebounds per game with 14.4. The number of times a second-chance opportunity has come from an offensive rebound this season has been too many to count. When the Huskies’ offense has struggled, second-chance opportunities have kept them in the game until the offense wakes up. |
01-29-22 |
North Alabama v. Kennesaw State -6.5 | Top | 71-58 |
Loss | -108 | 4 h 7 m | Show |
The Owls are one of the better offensive teams in the country which is our edge in this one. I don't think a team that barely shoots 40%, like the Lions, can stay with the Owls. |
01-29-22 |
Florida A&M -1.5 v. Alabama A&M | Top | 65-60 |
Win | 100 | 4 h 33 m | Show |
The Bulldogs are one of the worst shooting teams in college basketball, averaging just 57 points a game on just 37% shooting. The Rattlers aren't much better but I think they're good enough to shut the Bulldogs down the stretch. |
01-28-22 |
Clippers +7.5 v. Heat | Top | 114-121 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 49 m | Show |
The Heat and Clippers meet for the second and final matchup this season. Earlier this season, the Clippers recorded a, 112-109, win in Los Angeles on 11/11. Miami now looks to snap a team-long six-game losing streak to the Clippers. For the Heat, Markieff Morris (protocols), Kyle Lowry (personal reasons) and Victor Oladipo are out. |
01-28-22 |
Blazers v. Rockets +3.5 | | 125-110 |
Loss | -109 | 7 h 45 m | Show |
The rollercoaster ride continues. After a successful 4-2 road trip, the Portland Trail Blazers came home to Moda and promptly lost twice. That will take the wind out of your sails. More distressingly, they may have lost Nassir Little for the season, just as he was really starting to come into his own. Now it’s back on the road again for the next four games, starting with a visit to Houston. |
01-28-22 |
Marist v. Quinnipiac -1 | | 87-94 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 40 m | Show |
i think this is a coaching mismatch as I'll put my money behind the Bobcats who are more efficient on offense. |
01-28-22 |
Fairfield -2 v. Rider | | 76-65 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 28 m | Show |
Can't bet a team, Rider, that shoots 39% from the field. Fairfield is good enough to put distance between the two. |
01-28-22 |
Rhode Island v. Dayton -6 | | 51-53 |
Loss | -110 | 6 h 5 m | Show |
The Dayton Flyers look to stay hot when they battle the Rhode Island Rams in a key Atlantic 10 Conference matchup on Friday night. The Flyers (13-7, 5-2), who have won five of six, are coming off a 68-61 win over Fordham on Tuesday. The Rams (12-6, 3-3), who have dropped two in a row, fell to Richmond 70-63 on Tuesday. Dayton has posted wins in four of the last five meetings with Rhode Island. |
01-28-22 |
Wyoming -7 v. Air Force | | 63-61 |
Loss | -110 | 5 h 16 m | Show |
Is there any comparison on the offensive end between these two. The Cowboys average 78 points a game and although the tempo will be slower than normal for this match-up, the Falcons can't even be counted on for 60 points. |
01-28-22 |
Pennsylvania v. Harvard -3.5 | | 78-74 |
Loss | -106 | 4 h 23 m | Show |
Harvard has been winning the turnover battle all season. The Crimson force 16.2 turnovers per game, which leads the Ivy League and ranks 29th in the country. That has helped Harvard lead the conference and rank 23rd in the nation in turnover margin (4.1 per game). In addition, Noah Kirkwood is making a case to be Ivy League Player of the Year. In his last five games, the senior from Ontario is averaging 21.4 points a game while shooting 50.6 percent from the field and adding 6.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists. On Saturday at Cornell he led Harvard in points (18) and assists (four) while also grabbing five rebounds, which tied for the team high. |
01-27-22 |
BYU -2.5 v. Santa Clara | | 76-77 |
Loss | -110 | 10 h 24 m | Show |
The Cougars are one of the better defensive teams in the country, allowing just 40% FG against. If they take care of the ball against an equally sloppy Broncos team, the Cougars should run away with this one.. |
01-27-22 |
Pepperdine v. San Diego -7.5 | | 56-64 |
Win | 100 | 9 h 60 m | Show |
San Diego is one of the best defensive teams in College Basketball, allowing just 62 ppg. Pepperdine is the opposite on defense allowing over 75 PPG. I can't see the Wave staying within the number. |
01-27-22 |
Long Beach State v. Cal-Riverside -4.5 | | 68-62 |
Loss | -110 | 9 h 53 m | Show |
The UC Riverside Highlanders enter this game in fantastic form as they have won each of their last three games including a ten-point road victory against the Cal State Northridge Matadors in their last game. In that game, UC Riverside's offense was productive as it scored 77 points while shooting 48.1% from the floor and 39.4% from the three-point line. |
01-27-22 |
Wolves +6.5 v. Warriors | | 115-124 |
Loss | -110 | 8 h 14 m | Show |
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been heating up lately, winning eight of their last 11 games. They have catapulted themselves into seventh place in the Western Conference. They are coming off of a 109-107 road victory over the Portland Trail Blazers behind a 40-point performance from Anthony Edwards. The Timberwolves have built a very solid three-headed monster, especially on the offensive end of the court. They can fill it up in bunches. Edwards, D’Angelo Russell, and Karl-Anthony Towns are all averaging over 19 points per game. Despite a 11-13 road record, they have covered in 13 of those 24 games and the over has hit in 11 of their last 14 road games. These three can flat out score. |
01-27-22 |
UAB -2.5 v. Western Kentucky | | 68-65 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 17 m | Show |
The UAB Blazers lead the Conference USA West Division with a record of 16-4overall and 6-1 in the conference. Their only conference loss came at Rice on January 8, but since then, they have win 3 straight. The last two wins have their best of the season as they beat Conference USA East leader Florida Atlantic 76-65 on January 15, and followed that up with an 83-76 win at Louisiana Tech in their last game on January 22. |
01-27-22 |
Purdue v. Iowa +2.5 | | 83-73 |
Loss | -110 | 8 h 47 m | Show |
#6 Purdue’s first win against the Hawkeyes, 77-70, came with an asterisk. Despite the homecourt advantage and a big lead in the second half, the Hawkeye’s press gave Purdue’s offense fits again and pulled the game to within one possession late. All of this was with Coach McCaffrey missing his best player, Keegan Murray. |
01-27-22 |
William & Mary +8.5 v. Elon | | 54-61 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 38 m | Show |
Elon is one of the worst defensive teams in the country, allowing almost 75 points a game. The Tribe needs to cut down on TO's, if they do, they'll stay within this number. |
01-27-22 |
Arkansas State +3.5 v. Appalachian State | | 54-61 |
Loss | -105 | 6 h 6 m | Show |
The Red Wolves are extremely well coached which is why most of their offensive trips result in good looks. App State is too sloppy for me to put my money behind. |
01-26-22 |
Suns v. Jazz +2 | Top | 105-97 |
Loss | -110 | 9 h 15 m | Show |
Phoenix now stands at 37-9 overall, though it is still just 25-21 against the spread. While the Suns have taken out plenty of quality opponents this season, the most recent run may leave them slightly overvalued here. The Suns have covered four times over this seven-game winning streak but have failed to do so in the past two. The most recent game came against this same Jazz side, when they won by six in a game in which they were 12.5-point favorites. |
01-26-22 |
Mavs v. Blazers +4.5 | | 132-112 |
Loss | -110 | 9 h 59 m | Show |
You're still getting a Portland team who plays pretty well defensively as they try to make up for the loss of Damian Lillard. This line indicates that the books would like the public to be on Dallas, we're not falling for that. |
01-26-22 |
Grizzlies v. Spurs +4.5 | | 118-110 |
Loss | -105 | 7 h 15 m | Show |
San Antonio has home-court advantage in this game and has a great chance at knocking off a Western Conference heavyweight. The Spurs are not the Spurs of old, but are still well-coached and have some talent of their own. Dejounte Murray is a favorite to win Most Improved Player of the Year this season with numbers of 19.3 PPG, 8.5 RPG, and 9.0 APG. Not to mention, Derrick White can get hot at any moment. This game may not look it on paper, but this is shaping up to be a great matchup. |
01-26-22 |
Nuggets v. Nets +2.5 | | 124-118 |
Loss | -110 | 7 h 40 m | Show |
In games with zero days rest, the Nuggets are 1-6. They shoot 32% from three and 45% overall with about 13 turnovers per game. |
01-26-22 |
Hornets v. Pacers +2 | | 158-126 |
Loss | -106 | 6 h 52 m | Show |
The Hornets have dropped two games in a row, including a 125-113 road loss to the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday. "Not enough effort, not enough urgency," Charlotte coach James Borrego said. "We got to correct that." Those are not the words I want to hear when betting on a team. |
01-26-22 |
Boston College v. North Carolina -13 | Top | 47-58 |
Loss | -115 | 7 h 56 m | Show |
On Monday, the Tar Heels came out on top in a back-and-forth game against the Virginia Tech Hokies. Although they shot 33 percent in the second half, they rose from a four-point halftime lead to win 78-68. Say home-court advantage is a hoax all you want, but the environment of the Dean E. Smith Center is what this North Carolina team feeds off of, evidenced by its 10-0 record in Chapel Hill. The tar Heels lay it on the Eagles in this one. |
01-25-22 |
Colorado v. Oregon -8 | | 82-78 |
Loss | -108 | 8 h 22 m | Show |
Oregon might not be ranked at the moment, but the Ducks are sure playing like a Top 25 team. After a road sweep of UCLA and Southern California when both Los Angeles schools were ranked in the top five, Oregon waited a week to play its next game due to a COVID-19 pause by Washington State. Then, the Ducks led by 38 early in the second half Sunday of their 84-56 rout of Pac-12 Conference rival Washington in Eugene, Ore. Oregon will try to maintain that form on Tuesday night when it hosts Colorado. |
01-25-22 |
Syracuse -4 v. Pittsburgh | | 53-64 |
Loss | -112 | 6 h 50 m | Show |
The Orangemen will run away with this win using a superior offense. The Panthers are no match to keep pace with Syracuse. The panthers are once of the worst offensive teams in College Basketball, they'll show why tonight. |
01-25-22 |
Pelicans +11.5 v. 76ers | | 107-117 |
Win | 100 | 4 h 9 m | Show |
The Philadelphia 76ers have been successful on the road all season. The goal now is to be equally strong at home. In a bizarre season, the Sixers have gone 17-9 on the road and 10-10 at home. They will host the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night looking to move above .500 on their home court. The Pelicans will be searching for their third consecutive win when they visit the Sixers. Despite playing without Brandon Ingram (ankle), New Orleans had six players score in double figures during a 117-113 home win over the Indiana Pacers on Monday. |
01-25-22 |
Siena v. Iona -14.5 | | 57-74 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 0 m | Show |
Iona is a well coached basketball who are a real good ball movement team. They get a lot of buckets in the half court and transition. I just can't see the 311th ranked defense that Siena has staying with the Gaels. |
01-25-22 |
Western Michigan v. Kent State -11 | | 64-75 |
Push | 0 | 5 h 33 m | Show |
The Western Michigan Broncos get set to take on Kent State Golden Flashes with an overall record of 4-14. Team-Rankings.com power rankings place the Broncos as the 336th best team in college basketball. The Broncos are coming off a losing effort against Bowling Green, falling by a score of 82-75. On the season, Western Michigan holds a record of 2-7. Through 18 games, the Broncos are averaging 65.9 points per game. Giving them a rank of 307th in college basketball. Defensively, they are the 335th ranked team, allowing 77.9 points per contest. That about sums it up. |
01-24-22 |
Bulls v. Thunder +1.5 | | 111-110 |
Win | 102 | 10 h 37 m | Show |
In their last 9 games, Chicago has managed a meager 2 wins and has gone from comfortably sitting atop the East to third and one game behind new Conference leaders, Miami Heat. Granted the Bulls are depleted by injuries of late but this must be alarming even to the strongest of Bulls fans. The Bulls lost last night in Orlando, losing 114-95 to the league’s worst team. DeMar DeRozan continued his strong form with an astounding 41 points on 71% shooting from the field. However it will alarm both Bulls fans and coaching team alike that the rest of the team combined for only 54 points. The Bulls bench only scored 10 points – I think that says it all about this depleted Bulls squad at present. They are relying heavily on one man and there’s only so much one man can do. |
01-24-22 |
Jacksonville +4 v. Kennesaw State | | 68-76 |
Loss | -110 | 7 h 59 m | Show |
Jacksonville is one of the best defensive teams in college Basketball, allowing just 57.7 points per game. The pace will feel like a Virginia game but Jacksonville gets the outright win and cover. |
01-23-22 |
Rams v. Bucs -2.5 | Top | 30-27 |
Loss | -115 | 5 h 40 m | Show |
Tampa Bay has speed at every level of the defense and Stafford will have to ensure he doesn't let his guard down as Tampa Bay's quickness can ignite turnovers in a hurry. There are still questions about the health of left tackle Andrew Withworth’s ankle, so the play-action passes will likely be a vital part of the gameplan for Stafford's passing attack. |
01-23-22 |
Rider v. Niagara -6.5 | Top | 70-67 |
Loss | -110 | 3 h 9 m | Show |
The Purple Eagles will cover this spread because they are one of the better shooting teams from beyond the arc. The Broncs don't have the ability to keep up, shooting just 31% from beyond the arc. Niagara pulls away in the second half. |
01-22-22 |
Red Wings v. Predators -1.5 | | 1-4 |
Win | 113 | 6 h 14 m | Show |
No rest for the road weary. A night after the Red Wings played host to the Dallas Stars the travel down to Music City to take on a very strong Nashville Predators team. Nashville has seen an increase in their offensive output this season, sitting fifteenth in the NHL is scoring at 3.07 goals per game. Their defense may not have the same level of name recognition as their teams of old, but they do still have Roman Josi. The Predators captain is putting together a Norris caliber season so far this season, playing quality defense in his own zone while currently sitting second in defenseman scoring (one behind leader Victor Hedman) with 42 points in 40 games. In the net, Juuse Saros is having another fantastic year in goal with a .924 save percentage in 34 games. |

Heat v. Hawks -1.5 | Top | 108-110 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 11 m | Show |
Last Friday night, the Heat defeated the Hawks for the second time in 48 hours. However, something was noticeably different in the home/away series. Last Wednesday, the Heat destroyed the Hawks 115-91 in their first matchup of the week (and the fans let the Hawks hear about it). Although the Hawks dropped the second game 124-118, their hustle and intensity were markedly better. Since that time, the Hawks are 2-1 with two consecutive home wins. For the first time since November, this team is showing signs of life. What's most interesting is they are accomplishing this without Clint Capela and Bogdan Bogdanovic. |

Toledo v. Ohio -4.5 | Top | 87-69 |
Loss | -106 | 4 h 40 m | Show |
The Ohio Bobcats are perfect 5-0 in MAC play and have only lost twice all season, compiling a record of 14-2 overall. Additionally, Ohio has won 9 -straight and their last loss was on December 1st when they lost to 13th ranked LSU 66-51. Their only other loss was back in November at Kentucky, who beat them 77-59. On Tuesday, Ohio destroyed Miami of Ohio on the road 86-63. Ben Vander Plas led the way with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, and 4 three pointers. Mark Sears added 17 points, 9 assists and 3 steals while Jason Carter had 13 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals. |

UC-Davis -4 v. CS-Northridge | | 64-47 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 33 m | Show |
UC Davi isn't the greatest team in College Basketball, but the Matadors are undeniably one of the worst offensive teams in Colle Basketball. Northridge isn't well coached and is lucky to shoot 40% on a typical night. |
01-20-22 |
Pelicans +4.5 v. Knicks | | 102-91 |
Win | 100 | 3 h 22 m | Show |
Falling to the Hornets and Timberwolves -- each of whom are in a play-in position -- was a discouraging start to a pivotal stretch for the Knicks. After facing New Orleans, which entered Wednesday tied for 12th place in the Western Conference, New York is slated to play 16 of its next 18 games against teams currently within the top 10 in their respective conferences. |
01-20-22 |
Marshall v. Florida International +3 | Top | 66-70 |
Win | 100 | 4 h 55 m | Show |
In the end, Florida International is a better defensive team, allowing just 39.8% FG against this season while the Thundering Hurd will get exposed as they allow the opposition to shoot in the 45% range. |
01-19-22 |
Clippers v. Nuggets -8.5 | | 128-130 |
Loss | -105 | 7 h 34 m | Show |
The LA Clippers sit in eighth place in the Western Conference standings. They are still putting up a fight despite the absence of Leonard and George. Leonard, who is recovering from knee surgery, is expected to play later in the season. Meanwhile, George has an elbow injury, and the Clippers could shut him down for the rest of the season. If the season is lost, the Clippers may possibly be active sellers at the trade deadline. But if they keep on winning, there's a chance they will allow Leonard and George to return. |
01-19-22 |
Pistons v. Kings -6 | | 133-131 |
Loss | -110 | 6 h 13 m | Show |
Detroit will have to find a way to slow down De’Aaron Fox. With Haliburton out, Sacramento figures to rely heavily on Fox’s speed to create easy looks for teammates. |
01-19-22 |
Rockets v. Jazz -13.5 | | 116-111 |
Loss | -107 | 6 h 41 m | Show |
The Jazz are interesting because you look at the team as currently constructed and you wonder how they can get appreciably better. They have an alpha on offense (Donovan Mitchell) and an elite rim protector (Rudy Gobert) to make up for their so-so- perimeter defense. They have surrounded Mitchell with another ball-handler (Mike Conley Jr.) and shooters (Royce O’Neale, Bojan Bogdanovic, Rudy Gay, and Joe Ingles). They even have an electric sixth man to help guide the offense when Mitchell sits (Jordan Clarkson). PauseCurrent Time 0:11/Duration 0:32Loaded: 100.00% HQCaptionsFullscreenUnmute0 |

Pistons v. Warriors -15 | Top | 86-102 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 39 m | Show |
On Monday, we told you that Golden State's Steph Curry was now the clear favorite to win a third-career NBA regular-season MVP Award thanks to the injury suffered by former favorite Kevin Durant, and Curry will play Tuesday night in what appears to be a major mismatch against the visiting Detroit Pistons after sitting out Sunday. The Dubs remain without Draymond Green but are still 15-point favorites. I think the books are trying to coerce you to bet the Pistons, but we won't fall for that. |
01-18-22 |
Wolves -2.5 v. Knicks | Top | 112-110 |
Loss | -110 | 5 h 12 m | Show |
After briefly climbing back over .500 with Saturday's 117-108 win at Atlanta, New York trailed by as many as 23 and absorbed a 97-87 loss to the Hornets that snapped a five-game home winning streak. The Knicks were doomed by a poor start as they allowed the game's first seven points and trailed by 18 at halftime before allowing 35 points in the second half. They also had no answers for Charlotte's Miles Bridges, who scored 38 points, and shot a dreadful 11 of 21 from the free-throw line. I think the Wolves are in a better spot right now. |
01-17-22 |
Thunder v. Mavs -11.5 | | 102-104 |
Loss | -110 | 5 h 5 m | Show |
After a 120-116 Christmas Day loss to the Utah Jazz, the Mavs fell to their lowest point of the season with a 15-17. Since then, though, Dallas has gotten healthy discovered their defensive potential, having won nine of its last 11 games. Over the last 10 games, the Mavs are holding their opponents to a stingy 93.8 points per game. Dallas now has a 24-19 record and currently sits alone in the fifth-seed in the Western Conference championship. |
01-17-22 |
Suns -3.5 v. Spurs | Top | 121-107 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 57 m | Show |
Since that Pistons game, the Spurs have won just two of its last 11 contests. The Spurs’ most-used starting lineup of Murray, White, Keldon Johnson, Doug McDermott and Jakob Poeltl hasn’t played together since the win over the Lakers on Dec. 23. San Antonio is getting close to being back to 100%, though. All of its starters are out of COVID health and safety protocols. Tread lightly because this number does cause me to pause. |
01-17-22 |
Raptors v. Heat -3 | | 99-104 |
Win | 100 | 4 h 49 m | Show |
Just because they are missing their point guard — and we know how influential he is — doesn’t mean this Heat team isn’t a threat. They currently sit third in the East, and despite dealing with injury after injury, have played extremely well. It’s the first matchup between these two teams this season, and it will definitely be interesting to see how this new Raptors team does. If the past few games have been any indication — after hanging with the league-best Phoenix Suns, losing to the league-worst Detroit Pistons and then winning against the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks — anything can happen. I can't bet on inconsistency. |
01-16-22 |
Jazz v. Nuggets +5 | Top | 125-102 |
Loss | -102 | 6 h 42 m | Show |
The Denver Nuggets will take on the Utah Jazz tonight in hopes of beating them for the first time this season. The two teams faced off twice this season and Utah has scored 115+ points in each matchup. While the Nugget offense has struggled frequently this season, that has not been the case against the Jazz. They scored 110 in the first matchup and 109 points in the second. |
01-16-22 |
Warriors +5 v. Wolves | | 99-119 |
Loss | -110 | 6 h 33 m | Show |
Neither Curry nor Green will be playing in this one for the Warriors so wait until the last minute to get the best number. There will be a complete overreaction but let's not forget this is still a bad T'wolves team. |
01-16-22 |
Bradley v. Illinois State +2.5 | | 65-74 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 42 m | Show |
Illinois State puts up 80 points a game so it's difficult to believe that the Braves, who are a 70-point team, can match. |
01-16-22 |
Rockets v. Kings -5.5 | Top | 118-112 |
Loss | -110 | 4 h 57 m | Show |
One game after setting a season-high in scoring in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento forward Marvin Bagley III did it again Friday against the Houston Rockets, producing his fourth double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds in a 126-114 win at home. Bagley was instrumental in the Kings' victory and if Sacramento is to complete a sweep of its back-to-back against the Rockets, with the second game slated for Sunday at Sacramento, the Kings will need more of the production he has delivered of late. I think they win this one easy. |
01-15-22 |
Lakers v. Nuggets -3.5 | Top | 96-133 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 43 m | Show |
Those small-ball deficiencies were on full display Wednesday, as the Lakers’ weak point-of-attack defense caused them to give up 70 points in the paint to the Kings, the most they had given up in any game this season. This has been a trend this week, as they gave up 62 points in the paint to the Grizzlies on Sunday, their third-highest mark of the year. Until that changes, I can't back them to cash a ticket. |
01-15-22 |
Clippers +2 v. Spurs | | 94-101 |
Loss | -110 | 6 h 20 m | Show |
The Clippers will rely on their tough team defense; they are fourth in defensive rating. Nicolas Batum and his springy arms will help the team slow down the Spurs pace and also deflect easy passes to the paint or to the wings. A gritty Marcus Morris Sr. can and will slow down players anywhere on the floor — his large frame and athleticism allow him to stay firm when the Spurs are in the paint. The hard-blocking duo of Ivica Zubac and Serge Ibaka will also help protect the paint. |
01-15-22 |
Knicks +2.5 v. Hawks | Top | 117-108 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 7 m | Show |
The Knicks are coming off a 108-85 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. New York has won two straight and seven of its last 10. Atlanta gave up a seven-point fourth-quarter lead and dropped a 124-118 decision to the Miami Heat on Friday. The Hawks have lost four in a row and eight of their last 10. The Hawks are 3 1/2 games outside the final playoff spot, currently held by New York. |
01-11-22 |
New Mexico v. UNLV -5.5 | | 56-85 |
Win | 100 | 8 h 46 m | Show |
This simply comes down to defense and the Rebels are a much better defensive team than the Lobos. I'll even go as far to say that they're better coached with Kevin Kruger. |
01-10-22 |
Spurs v. Knicks -6 | | 96-111 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 33 m | Show |
Poor rebounding was one of the things that came back to haunt the Spurs in their first meeting with New York. They didn’t clean the glass when the Knicks bricked shots, which led to a whopping 17 offensive boards and 21 second-chance points. The Silver and Black were left scrambling around the court to recover onto wide-open shooters when they couldn’t box out two big lineups, and the Knicks made them pay for their lack of frontcourt depth. Mitchell Robinson, Nerlens Noel, Julius Randle, Obi Toppin, and Taj Gibson measure between six-eight and seven-feet tall, and San Antonio is 0-7 when they allow at least 15 offensive rebounds. |
01-09-22 |
Nuggets -7 v. Thunder | Top | 99-95 |
Loss | -110 | 12 h 45 m | Show |
Oklahoma City’s defense has impressed at times throughout the season (especially as of late) but is still vulnerable when it comes to defending beyond the arc. Opponents have attempted 40.8 percent of their total shot attempts from deep against the Thunder, the third-highest frequency in the league. Even more damaging for Oklahoma City’s defense is that teams have connected on 36.3 percent of those attempts, a top-10 percentage in the league. After a slow start from downtown to begin the season, the Nuggets come on in recent weeks and are up to 34.6 percent from beyond the arc on the year. 3-point attempts have accounted for 38.2 percent of Denver’s total shot attempts, a frequency near the top 10 of the league. |
01-08-22 |
Heat v. Suns -8.5 | | 123-100 |
Loss | -110 | 17 h 53 m | Show |
The Phoenix Suns have gotten back Deandre Ayton, JaVale McGee and Jae Crowder, who missed a few games while under the NBA’s health and safety protocols. They are now as healthy as any team in the league and should cruise in this one. |
01-08-22 |
Magic v. Pistons -2 | Top | 92-97 |
Win | 100 | 15 h 48 m | Show |
Obviously not a marquee match-up but it's definitely a winner. Why? Because the Pistons are still working hard on defense. They are 7-30 but we know we'll get their best effort and against the Magic that's good enough for a blowout win. |
01-07-22 |
Hawks v. Lakers -2.5 | | 118-134 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 60 m | Show |
The Lakers (20-19) have yet to win four games in a row this season, but they have a chance to accomplish that and climb past the Dallas Mavericks (20-18) for fifth place in the Western Conference on Friday when they host on the struggling Atlanta Hawks at The Crypt. And aside from the stylistic clash between the Lakers’ small-ball lineup vs. the Hawks’ big lineup, this game will mostly come down to defense. |
01-07-22 |
Wizards v. Bulls -5.5 | | 122-130 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 11 m | Show |
The Wizards have seven players either on the Covid list or injured. That's not the side I'm going to be on against the scorching hot Bulls. |
01-06-22 |
Jets v. Avalanche -1.5 | | 1-7 |
Win | 106 | 8 h 32 m | Show |
When the Avalanche are involved it's hard to not look at the puck line when the price is reasonable. You know the Ava's will [it up 4-5 goals a night and they're facing a Jets team who seem to be playing much better since Paul Maurice hung it up. The shot total that the Jets purt up at Arizona was impressive but honestly most of those were not grade A chances although Vejmelka played extremely well. |
01-06-22 |
Pistons v. Grizzlies -12.5 | | 88-118 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 16 m | Show |
The Memphis Grizzlies come into Thursday night’s game against Detroit as one of the league’s hottest teams. They are riding a 6-game win streak after escaping Cleveland with a 110-106 win Tuesday night. It’s the Grizzlies third winning streak of at least 5 games this season. They sit firmly in the four spot in the Western Conference, with a five game lead over both Denver in the 5 spot and Dallas in their division. |
01-06-22 |
Seattle University -9.5 v. Chicago State | Top | 93-77 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 55 m | Show |
In games played through Jan. 3, Seattle U ranks among the nation's top 50 in five team categories: 15th in 3-pt FG per game (10.5)19th in 3-pt FGs made (137)32nd in 3-pt FG attempts (371)42nd in turnover margin (3.5)45th in assist to turnover ratio (1.33) |
01-06-22 |
Tenn-Martin v. Tennessee State -5 | Top | 94-78 |
Loss | -110 | 4 h 24 m | Show |
Tennessee State is one of the better offenses in College Basketball as they face one of the worst defenses. Tennessee State isn't much better but I'm not sure Martin has the ability to exploit State's weakness. |
01-06-22 |
Binghamton v. Albany -4 | Top | 88-79 |
Loss | -110 | 4 h 5 m | Show |
Back to my old stomping grounds for this match-up. The Great Danes are one of the bets in College Basketball in limiting opponents possesions which works in their hands because Binghamtion isn't a team that will push the pace. Albany opens this one up in the second half. |
01-05-22 |
Warriors -5.5 v. Mavs | Top | 82-99 |
Loss | -106 | 7 h 59 m | Show |
Dallas is still without several key players. Trey Burke (health and safety protocols) is questionable; Willie Cauley-Stein (personal reasons) is out; Boban Marjanović (health and safety protocols) is out; Kristaps Porzingis (health and safety protocols) is out; Isaiah Thomas (health and safety protocols) is out. Dirk is getting his jersey retired after the game in an effort to ensure the Mavericks are not distracted but I've seen too many of these special nights not go the home team's way, no matter when the ceremony is held. |
01-05-22 |
Oilers v. Maple Leafs -1.5 | Top | 2-4 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 30 m | Show |
The news about Connor McDavid being out is huge considering this is an Oilers team who is once again struggling for an identity and what they have will not be playing. Rumors are swirling about another coaching change which I think would be a mistake but this is a franchise that has struggled for a long time. |
01-05-22 |
Davidson v. St. Joe's +4.5 | | 88-73 |
Loss | -101 | 5 h 16 m | Show |
Davidson's last three games have been canceled as COVID cases have slowed down the team's momentum. They;ve won 9-straight games but I'm not counting a win over Johnson and Wales, whoever they are, This number is begging you to take Davidson but we're smarter than than. |
01-05-22 |
DePaul v. St. John's -4.5 | | 84-89 |
Win | 100 | 5 h 12 m | Show |
The Blue Demons lost their first two conference games against Butler and Providence. This has perpetuated the narrative that they are solid in non-conference, but can’t ever perform well when it comes to the Big East. Wednesday will be another chance for DePaul to somewhat abolish that narrative. St. John’s was one of the higher ranked Big East teams in the Big East preseason poll, but underperformed in its non-conference schedule. I still think that the Red Storm are one of the more underrated teams in the stacked Big East, so a win inside Carnesecca for the Blue Demons would be huge but unfortunately that's is not what's going to happen. |
01-04-22 |
Kansas v. Oklahoma State +7 | | 74-63 |
Loss | -110 | 7 h 60 m | Show |
The Cowboys could be shorthanded for the game, though, as they are still dealing with COVID issues. Oklahoma State had its game against Texas Tech this past Saturday postponed due to COVID issues. According to Eli Lederman of the Tulsa World, Oklahoma State head coach Mike Boynton said the team was “hit hard” by COVID in late December. Boynton does not expect to have a full complement of players available on Tuesday night. Despite this, the number is only 7. I've done this enough to know that this doesn't look right. |
01-04-22 |
Suns -7.5 v. Pelicans | Top | 123-110 |
Win | 100 | 7 h 58 m | Show |
Phoenix has won seven of its last 10, led by its deep and balanced roster. During this most recent stretch, the Suns have eight different players averaging double figures. Devin Booker is playing to form, averaging more than 24 points per game. Chris Paul and DeAndre Ayton remain a lethal pick and roll combo. Monty Williams has scored in the post and on the perimeter on his bench as well. If that wasn’t enough to deal with, the Suns are as good as anyone in the NBA at stopping teams from scoring. |
01-04-22 |
Pacers v. Knicks -2.5 | | 94-104 |
Win | 100 | 6 h 7 m | Show |
The loss was the fourth straight for the Pacers, who have seven players in COVID-19 protocol after Caris LeVert and Goga Bitadze were added to the list prior to tip-off Sunday. Malcolm Brogdon, Chris Duarte, Isaiah Jackson, Jeremy Lamb and Kelan Martin are also sidelined in protocol. Brogdon, LeVert and Duarte rank first, third and fifth, respectively, for the Pacers in scoring. The Pacers put themselves in position for a stirring win Sunday by mounting a 22-9 run to take an 84-73 lead with three minutes left in the third quarter. But the Cavaliers scored the final 15 points of the period and led by as many as nine in the fourth quarter. Indiana fell to 2-7 since a three-game winning streak that ended Dec. |
